Silver Flyer [Mint 'n Uke] [M]
This is a private RP between Mint and Uke (who really need to stick with one RP for more then a few weeks xD).
Please don't post in here! This RP may contain mature situations. |
Most of the other kids thought he was weird... and why wouldn't they? A good percentage of them had dark hair, no matter what their birth hair color had been... and those that didn't still supported the blonde hair that they had been born with, though even those ones were few and far between.
Yet here he had always been with his flaming red locks, a single redhead amongst almost a thousand blondes and black-haired kids. His companions were rare cases as well, in their own rights. The boy on his left with a bandage that was taped in place over his left eye, though it wasn't to protect it - and the girl on his right, who was a rarity only because of her gender. Not many people sold their daughters to The Facility. Lunch was a daily necessity that no one wanted to go through... then again, almost all of the day's actions were things that no one wanted to do. There were few things that the children of The Facility enjoyed. But lunches were on the bottom of the list... having about 500 of the more 'seasoned' members in one room was never comfortable, especially on days when a group of newer children were introduced into the batch of older children. The three of them sat to the side, trying to ignore the stares of the newer kids as they pushed their mush around on their trays. |
"Today's special...runny egg whites and tasteless oatmeal." The redhead sighed as he pushed his food around more. "It's like eating mashed wood."
He looked around- even though it was uncommon for the older kids to care enough to look up from their trays. The security looked a bit tighter today. Armed guards were at ever door and there was a patrol above them on the catwalk overhead. The mirrored windows set in the walls were only coverings for the scientists watching them and taking notes, as if the camera's on the floating military pod-bots hovering around weren't enough to observe them. |
"I don't know why they bother," The girl admitted - as if she could tell what he was looking at, even though she was staring at her plate - "If we all tried we could easily over power them... but I guess they know we wont."
"I'd be scared to," The boy mumbled as he glanced at a nearby table - toward some of the long-time members. |
"We could take out the robots and the guards, yeah." A blonde at the table ahead turned and smirked at them before tapping the collar around his neck. "But as long as someone has a chance to hit the button, we're down for the count."
A couple of the younger kids started fighting a table over, catching some attention. |
"I feel sorry for them," The girl commented as they watched them fighting. "They've been here... what, six months? It probably still hasn't sunk in yet that they've been sold by their so-called parents."
"So were we," The boy with the bandage commented. "I'm done feeling sorry for myself, though," She scoffed. "What are they fighting over?" He asked, trying to listen in. |
"Something stupid, who bothers fighting?" The blonde boy snorted before turning back to his meal.
The redhead and his companions watched as the boys shoved each other out onto the floor, but they didn't even get the pleasure of really throwing blows before one of the pod-bots floated over and a red light lit up on its base. The red lights on the collars on the boys' neck began to glow and both of them dropped limply to the floor- unconscious. Two other bots- these ones med-units with white rather than the uniform black of the security units -floated over and scooped the boys up to carry them back to their rooms. It was actually kinda sad. It took a while for that sense of helpless confinement to sink in sometimes. It set a fire in the redhead and he started stirring his food around more vigorously. |
"At least combat training is next," The girl next to him said, patting him on the back rather roughly - she didn't really know how to control her strength most of the time.
"Oh goodie," The bandaged boy snorted, rolling his eyes. "Your favorite past time, Red... beating the crap out of me!" |
"At least you have bandages." The redhead snorted. "They'll knock me out before I kill ya, Lee."
|
"I wouldn't kill you!" 'Lee' scoffed.
"No shit," The girl laughed. "You'd just make him kill himself, LiSen!" "I would not!" LiSen shrieked. "Red is my friend!" "Yes, we all know he is," a voice called from another table. "Now keep your voice down and for the love of Tartarus, stop thinking so loudly!" LiSen and the girl both winced and shrunk in their seats. |
"Or maybe you could stop eaves dropping and bury your head in the sand." Red shot back at the person. "Shut the hell up and mind your own business!"
They were right though, it was so noisy today, even if no-one was saying a word. |
Silence followed his outburst, however, and both of his friends shot him a look as if he had asked out right to be shoved out the doors and into the wild.
They both scooted away and he heard three chairs push away from a table behind him, before three pairs of feet crossed the floor. "What did you say to me?" The person breathed hotly, now behind him. |
The redhead dropped his spoon and held his head, swaying a bit on the bench.
Cables and wires...IV cords hanging out of his arms and fluids pumping into him non-stop. He couldn't think...the chirping the of machines he was wired to was drowning out everything else...except for the constant murmur from the children in the building... Red blinked and shook his head to clear it. What the hell had that been. He looked up and saw the three figures in front of him. "He did ask you a question." A tall blonde with black streaks in his hair said- his eyes locked onto Red coldly. |
"Do you know who I am?" The boy sneered.
He was a rarity, much like Red, but even more so... because even amongst people not living in The Facility, albinism was rare. The boy was Kayen Reese - the original experiment. No one knew how he'd gotten there or how long he'd been there, but the 0001 marking the upper part of his long sleeved shirt was enough to send most people running. "He didn't mean it!" LiSen cried. "He didn't realize he was-" He fell silent at one glance from Kayen. |
"You're...short?" Red tried with a shrug.
"...Well, you really weren't specific." The blonde on Kayen's other side snickered before he pressed his foot to the table and kicked it back- sending it and Red skidding back against the wall. "Gah!" Red winced as he was pinned between the table and the wall. |
"Red!" The girl gasped, before she jumped to her feet. "What the hell is your problem!?"
Kayen spared her a bored glance. "As if you don't already-" He hit the floor in complete surprise as her fist connected with his cheek. The room fell into a dead silence... no one dared to hit Kayen. "You're... DEAD!" The boy shrieked, leaping from the floor and tackling her to the ground in a fury of fists. "Aireio!" LiSen squeaked as he ducked out of the way. |
"Hey." The blonde that had kicked Red around had suddenly appeared at LiSen's side.
He laughed and ran around to the Asian boy's bandaged side before kicking his legs out from under him. "Blindsided?" He chuckled. "Didn't see it coming." "He comedian!" Came Red's voice before the blonde turned right into the redhead's fist- sending him stumbling aside. "...Do you need assistance, Kayen?" The blonde with black streaks asked calmly as he walked over. Kids were jumping out of their seats and gathering around in excitement. Guards and bots were going ape-shit all around them as well. |
A row of security bots came flying and Kayen pulled away from Aireio long enough to look up and glare at them. They exploded almost instantly, bits and pieces flying everywhere, causing the guards to curse and make for the group.
"You're such a brat!" Aireio shrieked wildly as she punched at Kayen without really hitting her target, blocked by a seemingly invisible shield. "Requesting backup in Lunchroom A!" A guard called to a nearby hovering droid before attempting to reach for Kayen, who had reached down and was holding Aireio by the throat. "Don't touch me!" Kayen screamed as the man got close, jerking off of Aireio and getting to his feet in one swift movement. "Don't TOUCH ME!" |
"Kayen, they're going to turn on the collars." The black-streaked blonde informed as he looked around.
Red struck the other blonde again before suddenly appearing on his other side and hitting him again, causing the blonde to fall back into...the redhead again and get tossed into a nearby table. Red smirked and ducked his head, the world rushing around him in a wild blur over to the blonde and gripping his shirt to lift him up. "Lee, make whitey drop Aireio." Red said. |
"I-" LiSen squeaked, before he reached up and undid the bandages over his left eye.
Blinking it open against the light, he pulled his dark hair out of his face, revealing that while his right eye was dark brown, his left was bright silver and lacking a pupil. "Kayen!" He cried, which caused the albino boy to look up. Locking eyes, LiSen pushed against the white-haired boy's mind, onto to cry out and stumble back, holding his head in his hands. "H-holy-!" "Stay out of my mind!" Kayen snapped, though he dropped Aireio just the same. "And don-" The boy suddenly cried out, as if in pain, and reached for his throat. Within seconds he had dropped to the ground, unconscious. |
The black-streaked blonde dropped down beside Kayen and placed a hand on him- checking him over.
"Wow, what's going- Ach!" Red blinked over and then dropped the blonde he'd been holding up and stumbled back as his collar began to glow. The pure oxygen being pumped into him through the mask of suffocating and the various things hooked up to his body would be painful if he wasn't constantly being injected with painkillers- numbing his body and his mind... Red fell over on the floor and faded to black. |
--
The world came to slowly, the light blinding his sensitive eyes as he blinked them open. After a few moments the light turned off, as if the person could tell it was bothering him. The only light in the room was the monitor... was he in a doctor's room? What had happened... Kayen shot up suddenly, gasping and looking around in alarm. He pulled his legs up and pressed back against the corner where the bed met the wall in alarm, looking all around. Who had brought him in here!? Who had touched him-!? |
"Relax." Came a calm voice. "You're fine...pristine."
As Kayen turned to look he saw the blonde with black streaks in his hair sitting beside the bed. |
Calming instantly, Kayen uncurled himself and crawled over to the edge of the bed. "What happened? Who brought me in here? Where is Chess?"
|
"Chess was part of the scuffle." The other informed- referring to the blonde Red had engaged. "The redhead and he have been locked in their rooms...probably coming to right now. I would be in mine if I hadn't brought you here."
|
"Why am I not in my room?" Kayen asked, moving to hang his legs off of the bed.
|
"Because you're in mine." The older boy replied- as though that was all the explanation necessary.
|
Kayen blinked in surprise, before he looked around and spotted the '0002' on the door. "Oh... so I am. I thought this was a doctor's room... its really boring in here, Domino."
|
"It accommodates me." The blonde- Domino -replied flatly as he stood up- the sleeves of his shirt long enough to cover his hands. "Sorry it's not to your liking."
|
Kayen gave a small pout and flopped back on the bed. "Well... I'm stuck in here for the night I guess, since they're shutting the doors now."
There was a click as the dead bolt on the door locked - any sort of tampering with it would cause an instant reaction with their collars. "Boring," He groaned. "I was looking forward to fight training today, too... At least we don't have to do it with all those weak idiots. We're almost ready to take on some real Silvers, you know." |
"I didn't plan on you being here when the door locked." Domino informed- seeming to ignore Kayen's statement completely as he looked at the door. "It just seems to have worked out that way."
|
"Do you not want me in here?" Kayen asked, seeming a bit surprised - as if he didn't even think the idea was possible.
|
"Hm?" Domino turned and looked at Kayen with his blank face and cold eyes. "I'm sorry, I thought you'd voiced a concern about being locked in here with my boring...self."
|
"I said your room was boring, not you," Kayen said, frowning now. "You totally misunderstood me. But that's okay... it happens."
He got up and moved across the room, pressing himself against the other's chest as he wrapped his arms around his shoulders. "I could never think you're boring," Kayen whispered. "You're the only thing I have to care about in this place..." |
"You once said- I was the one thing to keep you sane." Domino wrapped his arms around Kayen gently- his long sleeves twisting around the boy like strands of white ribbon- moving on their own as though they were alive. "Have I failed then? I know I have...I'm sorry."
He kissed Kayen's forehead. "I would have liked to have kept you that way, but I'll have you however I can...if your permitting." Domino said- his tone softening a little. |
"Even I can only stay so sane in a place like this," Kayen mumbled, burring his face into Domino's shoulder. "But... I'm okay with everything, so long as I have you to hold me like this."
|
"...It's hard holding you when I can't touch you." Domino said- he almost sounded sad.
|
"I know," Kayen whispered. "I'll find away to fix it, Domino... I promise."
|
"You don't need to be fixed Kayen." Domino sighed. "Don't ever let them convince you otherwise."
