Nalaria was running to school, books in hand. She had woken up late, and was in a rush. She had to go through the forest, which wasn't much of a problem. She knelt down to put her books in her bag, then jumped up in a tree. She swung from branch to branch, her slender legs hooking to other branches to swing her around. She had done this so many times that it didn't bother her hands and legs, even though they got scraped and bled. She finally reached the edge of the forest and jumped to the ground, straightening her shirt and fixing her hair. She had to run again, the school still quite a ways away. She obviously had no ride, yet she was fine with running.

Evil Tink 03-06-2011 01:54 AM

Solomon let out a deep sigh as he headed down the street. Today, so far, was turning out to be quite terrible. His car had somehow managed to get stolen from his very secure garage..or what he had thought was secure, his motorcycle was in the shop getting some details done, and to top it off, some punk just had to mouth off to him when he bumped Solomon just minutes ago. All in all, he was pretty peeved right now, and to top it off, it was going to get worse.

Now, don't get me wrong, Solomon loved to walk, after all it was a beautiful day, but today just started out all wrong. He pulled a hand out from his pocket and ran it through his black hair out of frustration, pausing in the middle of the sidewalk block. He looked around. "Now..where am I?" More often than not, he found himself zoning out and getting lost for brief moments of time.

It took his second to figure out he was downtown. Throngs of people flooded the side walks, cars in the road of course. Judging from the traffic, and the fact there was a high school just down the street, he figured it was about 7:30 or so, just before the start of school. Another irritated sigh escaped his lips. He disliked dealing with masses of humans like this, even if they weren't interacting with him.

Suddenly, he was blindsided for the second time today, and now he was convinced that it wouldn't be the last. He recovered quickly, never falling backward, just stumbling back a few steps; he had phenomenal balance after all. However, he did not want the female to get hurt from falling. With extremely quick movements, his arms were around her waist and lifting her to her feet, letting go when he was sure she was balanced enough to stand.

Dark eyes, almost black, stared down at the girl, as he was close to 6'2" tall, with apparent irritation. However, he did not utter a word of disdain towards her, simply taking a breath, closing his eyes and stepping to the side. "I didn't mean to get in your way Miss." His tone was soft, charming, but that didn't mean he was any less angry at this moment. Most humans would be unaware of the dark, bitter feeling in the air, but some humans do pick up on it. There was no doubt this girl could sense it.

Archaic Kitten 03-06-2011 02:03 AM

Nalaria, still in a rush, had ran into man with dark hair. She lost her balance and almost fell flat on her face, but was caught by a pair of arms that got her back on her feet. She turned and faced the man, yet had to look up just to meet his gaze with her. her face turned a bright red at his appearance. "I-I'm terribly sorry for running into you sir," she said, "I woke up late and have no ride so I had to run to school." She bowed slightly to show her apology. "I gotta run though," she said as she turned, "Pethaps we will cross paths again." She waved before running towards the school.

Evil Tink 03-06-2011 02:20 AM

Solomon sighed, clenching his hands after dropping them into his pockets again. He quickly calmed himself as she spoke, not really listening to her excuse. Solomon's eyebrow twitched under his thick bangs as she continued to ramble on but he politely responded, "Perhaps..."

As she ran past, his eyes shot open and followed her as she got farther away. He discreetly took a few sniffs at the air. Why do I smell vampire on her? I hadn't been in contact with her long enough...and i don't recognize that scent... The implications her scent was generating simply made him furious.

Most cities had only a handful of vampires living in them, with one vampire being..'King' so to say. With Solomon being in charge of this particular city, any new and roaming vampires must contact him before entering his city. He could only assume, that since this new vampire has not contacted him, that this intruder had intended to either take the town..er..try to take it, or he was newly turned and could cause a disaster for both humans and vampires. Neither of these situations could be allowed.

Solomon had to find out more. He followed the sidewalk towards the school, but remained off it's property limits. Loitering would only make humans suspicious and question him. He was in no mood to deal with them now. With there being a cafe nearby, he grabbed a seat at a table outside, keeping his eyes on the school. Meanwhile, he was doing a quick telepathic search of his city. Each citizen's mind was thoroughly scanned for information, especially the vampires.

This only took him a few hours, and by now, school would be out in less than 3 hours. The lunch hour rush came flooding into the cafe as he finished his sweep. Now he was seething. Had he been mistaken? Or had this newcomer sensed his sweep and fled outside Solomon's territory? His dark eyes narrowed at the school. He demanded answers.

Archaic Kitten 03-06-2011 02:34 AM

Nalaria let out a sigh and stretched as school ended. She got her stuff after she had changed pout of her gym clothes and waved to her friends. After swinging her bag of books and such over her shoulder, she made her way outside. Her bright pink eyes had turned to a glowing red. She quickly left the school grounds and broke out into a run. Past cars, crowds of people, buildings, and straight into the forest.

She sniffed the air and looked around, Hoping to find a small animal or something to feed from. Sure she was half vampire, but even those could lose control at any minute. She put her bag down and jumped up into a tree, scanning her surroundings. She caught sight of a rabbit in no time.

She concentrated on the little creature, focusing gravitation force down on it to break it's neck. Once it was dead, she jumped down and walked over to it. She picked up the limp creature and drained it dry, wiping the blood from her mouth. She then walked back over to her bag and sat down, deciding to stay out for a while. Her burning red eyes soon returned to the natural pink color.

Evil Tink 03-06-2011 02:47 AM

The pounding of hundreds of feet pouring out of the school building brought him back to reality once more. The wind was blowing away from him, and therefore he could not pick up the girl's scent, but through a stroke of luck, she ran right past him. With a grin Solomon stood and following after her, but at a leisurely walk. There was no need for him to suddenly disappear form human vision from moving so fast.

He rounded the corner, the smell of blood suddenly flooded his nose, along with the girl's scent. He had to solve this, now. He took a breath, gathering up some power as he hid himself from plain sight. Once he had located the source of the kill, he released his psychic ability, and vanished from behind the dumpster.

Teleporting was no easy feat. Only a few, elder vampires had managed to learn the technique, and have the required power to use it. Even then, a vampire could only move a short distance safely. When he had arrived at the desired location, he found himself in a forest, standing only feet away from the poor rabbit.

He approached it and knelt down, examining it. There was no external damage, but he could feel that it's little neck was broken. His fingers came upon two puncture wounds on the creature's neck with a frown. So she is the vampire. How strange..she didn't smell like one.

He stood, sniffing the air. She was not far. He dropped the rabbit and put his hands in his pockets and followed her scent. It was not long until she was only a few yards away. Luckily, he had found her with her back to him. He paused for a moment, tilting his head. Shall I be blunt or decide to entertain myself?

Archaic Kitten 03-06-2011 02:56 AM

Nalaria was drawing in her sketchbook, listening to music. She looked up every so often, thinking. Not before long, she felt a presence behind her. She sniffed the air, slightly recognizing the scent. She put her stuff back in the bag, along with her music. She stood, swinging the bag over her shoulder. "Are you following me?" she asked as she turned around, her free hand on her hip. She stared right at the guy that she had ran into earlier. "I knew we would run into each other once more but must you follow me?" she said.

Evil Tink 03-06-2011 03:18 AM

Solomon sighed, deciding to entertain himself..hopefully. "So I automatically get accused of following when I just want to go for a walk? How hurtful. And either way, I had just arrived and was about to leave when I heard you were putting your stuff away. Now, how would it look if you only saw me just walking away at the exact moment you turned around? That, my dear, would be creepy in my opinion."

Even though he wasn't next to her, he could smell her quite clearly. She definitely smelled heavily of vampire, yet there was the persistent smell of human on her. To protect his own identity, he created a shell of condensed air around himself. This would hide his smell from her. While it might make her suspicious, she would not be able to tell he was a vampire

[[Sorry for the shortness. My compy shut down right as I was gunna post..so I made a condensed version Dx]]

Archaic Kitten 03-06-2011 03:24 AM

Nalaria sighed. "Just my reaction from you staring at me," she said, "Sorry if I offended you." she shifted her bag to her other shoulder, sniffing the sir. She blinked a few times, not able to catch the mans scent. "That's odd," she said as she took a few steps closer. She couldnt help but walk around him, sniffing. "Sorry if I'm freaking you out," she said, "But you have no scent." Sge then paused, staring up at him. "By the way," she said, "I'm Nalaria. And you?"

Evil Tink 03-06-2011 03:42 AM

Solomon couldn't help but smile, "I'm not offended in the least Nalaria, I've just been having a horrid day." He gently grabbed her wrist and held it up to his face, tilting his head to the side a bit, "Well aren't you a special one my dear..." He then let her hand go, pocketing his own.

"It will take much more than a keen sense of smell to freak me out Nalaria, trust me." He said after a few moments of silence before taking her hand in his and bowing slightly. "And I would be Solomon, pleasure to meet you."

Once he straightened, he pocketed his hand again, then leaned close to her face, "Perhaps it's time to....freak you out? While I appear to have no scent, you appear to have two. Not to mention, I think i see a speck of blood on the corner of your mouth. Now, time for the fun part of this game. My theories." A devious, dark grin took over his features for a brief moment before he continued to speak. "Either you're a fairly rare breed of half vampire, or you spend quite a bit of time around them. But, there's a problem with my second theory..."

He was silent for a few seconds to gauge her reaction. The entire time, he never moved away from her, getting a good sniff in. "I know what every single vampire in this city smells like, and yet you do not smell of any of them. So, I can only assume that somehow, a half breed was born." Finally, he moved away and took a few steps back, "Tell me I'm wrong?"

Archaic Kitten 03-06-2011 03:50 AM

Nalaria blinked a couple times when Solomon grabbed her wrist and held it close to his face. Then a few seconds later he shook her hand. "Pleasure to meet you Solomon," she said, "For the.. Second time today." She laughed slightly, rubbing the back of her neck. She listened to what he said, covering her mouth when he mentioned a speck of blood. She let out a small huff, wiping her mouth once more. Once he was done talking, she sighed. "Your second theory is wrong," she said, "I am indeed a half vampire. Is that a bad thing? Mother being human being laid by a vampire, me being the surprise outcome?"

Evil Tink 03-06-2011 04:03 AM

Solomon let out a sigh and frowned, "You make this no fun at all Nalaira. I was hoping for a bit more of a reaction." He gazed upward at the sky, watching a few clouds roll by. "I never said it was a bad thing, just something incredibly rare. I'm sure you can imagine why?"

Without waiting for her response, he decided to continue anyway, looking back at her, "You know as well as I that the relationship between humans and vampires is very delicate..." He shrugged, "I wonder why he decided he shouldn't kill her. A very curious thing."

Suddenly, he pulled his hand out of his pocket, his fingers clutched around a small black cellular phone. With a flick of his thumb, he flipped it open and held it to his ear. "Hello?.... Oh have you? I'll be by to pick it up soon....Yes thank you very much..." He snapped it shut and stuffed his hand into his pocket again. "I'm sorry about that, it appears my car has been found."

He turned on his heel and began to walk away. He raised a hand from his pocket, his index and middle fingers extended with the rest folded in. He gave a wave and then...he vanished.

Archaic Kitten 03-06-2011 11:11 AM

[[he waves like I do xD except I has my thumb out. XD]]
Nalaria sighed. She had just got done feeding and she never was much for reacting after that. She stayed silent when he answered his phone. She only nodded, waving slightly in return, knowing her wouldn't see. She looked around, then made her way home. Once she was there, she dropped her books at the entrance in a corner and went to the living room. She pulled out a large sketchpad and flipped through the pictures, stopping at one of her mother and father. She got her art pencils and continued to work on it. After a while, she had a rose wreath around them both as a border. Yet she soon fell asleep after, her pencil falling out of her hand. Drawing always made her tired, and it takes a lot to wake her up.

Evil Tink 03-06-2011 02:00 PM

Solomon was only able to travel a few blocks through teleportation, as he used up quite a bit of power teleporting to the forest. He appeared behind a vendor's sign, almost knocking it over. With a sigh, he continued the short walk to the police station. Thankfully, he wouldn't have to go to the impound lot.

He entered the building approaching the lady at the desk, "I was told to come here to get my car? It was stolen and Officer Johnson called telling me you have it."

The woman looked up from her computer screen, "If you go around back, I think they're pulling it off the tow truck now. But first, I need to see some ID."

He sighed, pulling his license from his pocket and handing it to her. After a few minutes of looking from the card, to him, to her computer, she handed it back with a print out. "Your fees...did you want to pay now?"

He shrugged, setting the required amount of cash on the desk. Most people did not carry that amount of cash and so the lady was quite surprised, "I'm already here so why not. Now can I go get my car?" When she nodded, he left.

He came around the back of the building, then gritted his teeth. That was his car, no doubt, but it was in need of repair, "Leave it on the damn truck! It's obviously not drivable!" The workers stopped, replacing the chains to keep it on the tow bed. He rubbed his temples as he came closer, "Take it to Jack's Auto Body please...he'll know it's mine and take care of all the paper work for you."

He left in a bought of frustration, cursing t he day for existing. He shoved his hands deep into his pockets and stormed down the streets. After awhile, he was brought to a pause as a scent wafted through his nose. He looked up at the apartment complex, So this is where she lives? He sighed, curious to know more about her, but he was hardly going to waltz into her room.

Solomon has been called many things, but a stalker is not one of them Should he wait for her to come out? Or..should he walk up to her room? He growled a bit, but he was quickly distracted by a familiar smell. Smoke. He quickly noticed the fire and smoke rising from the 3rd floor..the floor below Nalaria's.

He kicked down the main door, running too fast for humans to see him. Fire was just as deadly to vampires as it was to humans. If he was correct, after feeding, most vampires become quite lethargic and if they sleep, hard to awaken. By the time he got to her room, the fire department had arrived and were working on taming the blaze while rescuing the attendants.

He shouldered Nalaria's door, searching the room for her. Even if he barely knew her, he could not ignore her for the fact she was half vampire. He had to look out for the vampires in his city if need be. He carefully lifted her off the bed, grabbed her things so she would not have to start over any homework she may have, then jumped out the nearest window. He ran through the city until a few minutes later, he came upon his mansion.

The large Victorian mansion was obviously over 200 years old, with a few modern touches. Of course, he had to renovate it over the years to keep up with the building laws and just general repair. He twisted the knob of the front door, then hurried into the large living room. He gently placed her down on the day bed by the window, turning her slightly on her side so the sun would not be in her eyes when she awoke. He then sat down on one of the many dark red couches and waited.

Archaic Kitten 03-06-2011 05:04 PM

Nalaria, being fast asleep, was unaware of the smoke. Yet the only problem was that it made her unconscious instead of asleep by now. She didn't know what was going on around her. In her head, she was dreaming.

She was with her parents in front of the vampire council. She was 7 at the time, cowering behind her mother. Tears filled her eyes as her and her mother watched her father get killed. They burned his body as well. She was forced away from her mother, kicking and screaming. She had to leave the room, soon hearing her mothers pitiful shriek from getting fed to hungry newborn vampires. She began to tremble, escaping from the large confusing building.

After a few minutes of running in her dream, she awoke. She had let out a small scream, falling to the floor. She sat up, rubbing her head. She moaned and looked around. Then she noticed Solomon. ".......W.... Where am I!?" she said as she stood up, tears in her eyes from the nightmare she had.

Evil Tink 03-06-2011 05:26 PM

Solomon frowned as she dreamt. He would not disturbed her, for he was unsure of how she would react. When she awoke he handed her a handkerchief, "My mansion..." he stated simply.

He leaned back after she had taken the cloth, resting his arm on the arm of the couch. "Now before you assume anything, I brought you here because your apartment building was on fire. I thought it to be risky to let you go to a hospital, so I brought you here. I hope you don't mind?"

Archaic Kitten 03-06-2011 05:34 PM

Nalaria took the cloth and wiped her eyes. "I don't mind," she said as she looked around some more. She sat down on the sun bed, staring at Solomon. "I have no where else to go now," she said, "I don't know any of my family other than my parents. Would you allow me to stay here?"

Evil Tink 03-06-2011 05:45 PM

He motioned to the house with his left hand, "I have no issue with that at all. You'll have to wake up earlier to get to school on time until my car is repaired." Now he simply could go buy another, but he did not like to have multiple cars. There was no need. One car was perfect.

"Youre welcome to stay for as long as you like, I don't mind at all." He crossed one leg over the other at the knee and rested his head in his hand with his elbow on the arm of the chair. His dark eyes watched her curiously, wondering what her dream was about.

Archaic Kitten 03-06-2011 05:57 PM

Nalaria smiled brightly. "Thank you," she said, "Now... What am I supposed to do about clothes?" the last part she had mumbled to herself. When she looked up, she noticed Solomon looking at her. "eh...?" she said, "Why are you staring at me?" she blinked a few times, her head tilting to the side.

Evil Tink 03-06-2011 06:02 PM

"Hm? I'm just thinking is all. Sorry I didn't mean to stare. As for clothes, perhaps I could be of some service there. It's really no issue for me." He shrugged, "I can't let you walk around with only that to wear."

Suddenly he leaned forward, "I almost forgot." He lifted her bag and handed it to her, "I thought I might as well grab this too, it seemed important to you." He set it down by her feet and leaned back into the couch once more.

Archaic Kitten 03-06-2011 06:06 PM

Nalaria smiled slightly. "Thank you... Again..." she said, laughing slightly. She opened her bag and went through it, gla nothing was damaged. She pulled out her sketchbook and flipped through her drawings. She was new in this household and didn't feel very comfortable right now. Yet over time she was sure that she would get used to it. Until she was able to get a house of her own. If she ever got a house of her own. She now had her legs crossed as she looked at her past drawings and the ones she had recent drawn.

Evil Tink 03-06-2011 06:12 PM

Solomon leaned forward again, "What sort of things do you draw? May I see?" He stood, stepping over to her and sitting a few inches away from her. "I've always been a big fan of art of all sorts." He kept away from her, just in case she didn't not want to show him her art.
[[Short posst is short Dx]]

Archaic Kitten 03-06-2011 06:16 PM

Nalaria turned a slight red when Solomon sat a bit away from her, wanting to see her art. She usually didn't show people her art, but she ended up handing him the notebook anyways. "The drawings date back from when I was eight to earlier today," she said, "I was working on the last drawing during school when I had the time."
[[mine are short too... Don't worry ;3;]]

Evil Tink 03-06-2011 06:21 PM

Solomon held the sketchbook carefully, flipping through the drawings, "These are very good Nalaria. Who are these two? Your parents?" His finger hovered over the picture, following the details and lines, but not touching the paper. "Have you ever thought of selling your art? I'm sure you could be very successful."

Archaic Kitten 03-06-2011 06:40 PM

Nalaria nodded. "Yeah those are my parents," she said. She pointed to her mother. "Her name was Eliza," she said, then pointed to her father, "His name was Aronzi. I always thought his name was odd. I called him Arizona as a child cause I couldn't pronounce it right. And no I have never thought of selling my art."

Evil Tink 03-07-2011 12:31 AM

He was silent for a moment. That name seemed familiar to him. "Were you born here? Did your father live here at all?" He flipped backwards, glancing at a few of her other pictures. "Perhaps you should. I would definitely purchase a few."

He handed her her sketchbook after closing it. After a moment or two, he finally asked, "Are you hungry? Do you need to get some clothes now or tomorrow?" He looked back down at her with his dark eyes, "Or anything else in particular you'd like to do? It must be boring just sitting here."

[Why is it that my computer always shuts down when im responding to this rp?XD]

Archaic Kitten 03-07-2011 12:50 AM

"I was born here," Nalaria said, "My father was part of the vampire council. It was firbudden to love a human, so both my parents got killed." she sighed, then thought a moment. "I honestly need cloths now cause I smell like smoked bacon," she said.
((maybe cause it hates my short posts? ;A; ))

Evil Tink 03-07-2011 12:55 AM

Solomon frowned a bit, "I know...and I'm sorry that you could not grow up with them." He could not help but chuckle at her comment, "Well then get off your butt and let's go." He stood holding out his hand to help her up.

He then began to mutter softly about how she should buy another car. Two. He'd only have two tops. He shook his head a bit with a sigh, "I really ought to drain that bastard of every last drop for stealing my car...but the last thing I need is to be investigated again. Human cops are so annoying."

[[Maybe it does o.O]]

Archaic Kitten 03-07-2011 01:23 AM

Nalaria nodded. When she took his hand, she couldn't control her cheeks from turning red. She stood and listened as Solimon talked to himself. "Someone stole your car?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.
((I'm sorry they're short... I'm in bed and talking about something with a friend....))

Evil Tink 03-07-2011 01:31 AM

Solomon held back a smile as her cheeks turned bright red, "Someone they managed...perhaps it was Miranda...the crazy bitch is always destroying my stuff one way or another." While he used a generally derogatory term, he applied a tone that implicated it was a compliment. Somehow. He left out a soft laugh, "She's a troublesome vampire..."

He shrugged, "Moving along past that topic..." While he was..friends with the vampiress, he did not like her that much. "Are there any stores you'd prefer to visit?" His mind suddenly spiraled away from reality, imagining shopping with her. She was nice enough, but picturing her in various store grabbing bundles of clothes made him stiff as stone. He hoped she wasn't so...grabby.

[[Its alright, I dont mind at all ^^]]

Archaic Kitten 03-07-2011 09:46 AM

"How many vampires are in this town?" Nalaria asked, blinking. When Solomon asked her what stores she would like to visit, one instantly popped into her head. "Hot Topic~" She said with a smile. She absolutely loved Hot Topic. It had the type of clothes she liked. Dark and also colorful.
[[fail post is fail. ;∆;]]

Evil Tink 03-07-2011 11:41 AM

Solomon was silent as he counted, "Twenty-three." He lifted a finger, correcting himself, "and a half." He left out a quiet smirk, giving her a wink. "Hot Topic? Am I going to regret this?" He had never been there, nor heard of the store. It sounded...scary.

[[Mines more pahil]]

Desu 03-07-2011 11:45 AM

[[on me newly made mule. ^_^]]
Nalaria laughed slightly. "Hot Topic has darker clothing than other stores," She said, "More gothic and all, y'know?"

[[pffft... I wanna like... dai... cause this such a phail post.... TWO FRIKIN SENTANCES! D:< Grrr]]

Evil Tink 03-07-2011 04:20 PM

[[Lol its okay..shall I make her sister!? that'd be too funny..xD
Although, I'd rather be Suigintou : D]]

Solomon sighed, "Well, at least there shouldn't be throngs of teenage girls crawling all over me." He shuddered then continued, "I..uh..had to give a presentation at the high school about 20 years back..it was a mess...scary"

He held out his hand for her to take, "Well then, shall we go?"

Desu 03-07-2011 04:22 PM

[[omg yush! DO THAT! NAO! O:]]
Nalaria held in a small laugh, then nodded. She took his hand and stood up.
[[=3=;; phail.... posty.... desuuuu.... DX]]

Evil Tink 03-07-2011 04:34 PM

[[Which one..her sister or Suigintou
o.O]]

Solomon moved her hand up to his upper arm as he put it in his pocket. He liked to keep things...formal most of the time. It was just who he was. He led her out of his house and down the long brick laid driveway. "Why is it," he looked down at her with a devious smile, "that I've never sensed you around here before? Even with you being half vampire, your mind is significantly different than a human's. Yet..you've been invisible to me the entire time."

Archaic Kitten 03-07-2011 05:42 PM

[[whichever you prefer... o3o]]
Nalaria followed, her hand resting on Solomons upper arm. He then asked her a question. "I'm not entirely sure," she said, "Perhaps I'm more human than vampire? I can't really tell you since I have no idea."

Evil Tink 03-07-2011 05:51 PM

The man shrugged a bit, "Who knows..." There was a long silence as they continued down the streets. After about 4 blocks, he spoke again, "You don't have to answer this if you don't want to...but..how is it that you survived? Why weren't you killed with your parents? The law states the offspring must be destroyed as well." He frowned realizing how touchy of a subject this me.

Before she could answer, he felt he should apologize. "I'm sorry, but sometimes my curiosity gets the best of me." He gently touched her cheek with a small smile. "Like I said, you don't have to answer if you don't want to."
