Private RP- ~*Pokemon Dungeon Explorers*~ Nicole/Shen
~*Pokemon Dungeon Explorers*~ In our current adventure following two trainers Nicole and Izabel we find them traveling into a dark mysterious forest at sunset. [Crickets starts chipping and owls wake and who into the oncoming night.] Nicole: "Hey Izzy you sure there are ghost pokemon here? Because you know how much I really really want a Misdreavus!" Nicole exclaimed with excitement. Izabel: "Ya I got you. I found out from the last pokemon center that they should be in this forest. It's suppose to be haunted and everything!" [They continued to walk deeper into the forest. A fog started to approach as the night sky took over day light.] Nicole: Looking glum Nicole turned to Izabel with small darkness floating overhead. "Where are they!?!?!?!?!" She whined and howled as she shook trees and pounded on bushes looking for any pokemon. A few Rattatas ran out from under the bushes and away from the trainers. Nicole: "Ick.. those things are everywhere... I hate mice and rats." She stuck her tongue out as they ran. Izabel: "Ya know they have feelings to." She turned and looked around and decided to flick on a flash light and browsed around and blinds a ghost pokemon that rushes towards them into an attack. Spotting the pokemon coming on from the right she reaches back and grabs her pokeball from her pocket and calls out her Delcatty and uses flash again blinding the pokemon. Nicole: "Whoa i wasn't paying much attention!" She reaches into her pokeballs and tosses out her pokemon Bronzor and uses Imprison on the duel pokemon. [Battle start!] [Nicole uses Bronzor] [Izabel uses Delcatty] [Wild pokemon appears] [Haunter and Misdreavus attacks] -Haunter uses Shadow claw on Bronzor- [Bronzor loses 25 hitpoints] -Misdreavus uses Sing- [Sing attack misses] Nicole: Nicole throws a pokeball at Misdreavus. [Ball shakes three times and pokemon escapes] "Damnit!! COME ON! THAT SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT IT!" Nicole yells. [Misdreavus and Hunter runs] "Shoot let's go after Misdreavus Izzy!" Nicole said as she ran after the pokemon. They chase after the Misdreavus into the darker part of the forest. Fog starts closing in on both the trainers and becomes almost impossible to see far ahead of them. Nicole tripping over a branch slammed into the ground on her left arm which she howled out in pain then shut her mouth quickly and before forcing herself back up and after the ghost again, causing Izabel to become alarmed and question if she was okay as she followed after Nicole. =================================== i'll get to the rest shortly brain cramp LAWL |

[Name] Nicole [Age] 22 [Gender] Female [Race] Past- Human Present- Vulpix [Appearance] Human Vulpix |
[NAME] Izabel "Izzy" Craig [AGE] 19 [GENDER] Female [RACE] Formerly Human Currently Eevee [APPEARANCE] What Was Once Human... ...No Longer Is... [MISC. APPEARANCE NOTES] Has three silver ball studs in each ear on the lower part. A leftover from her time as a human. [PERSONALITY] Izzy is like any other young woman. Mostly outwardly confident, inwardly combats self-doubt. She is sarcastic, likes to make bad jokes, and enjoys eating spicy foods. She is very quick to forgive, preferring to let grudges die rather than maintain them, unless the emotional injury is severe and then she'll take some time to get over her wariness. Very imaginative and inventive, Izzy has a tendency to get bored very easy and daydreams a lot. However, if it is interesting, she is very good at paying attention. Izzy is very reasonable, as well, which leads to her being persuaded into situations she sometimes later regrets, especially if it appeals to her sense of morality and ethics. |
She felt conciousness return to her slowly. Her entire body felt funny for some reason, and she struggled up into a half sitting position. Looking down at her hands, Izzy immediately noticed something wrong. Her hands... looked like paws.
"What the?" she muttered in surprise, the sight not fully registering in her mind as she was still groggy. Looking around, she saw she was in some kind of cave. At the moment, she felt like she was under a spotlight, but that was actually a hole admitting sunlight into the cave. As she stood, she noted that she couldn't stand up on her legs. Bemused, Izabel concluded this must be a dream. Why else was she on all fours? Last she remembered... What was the last thing she remembered? Well, it didn't matter at the moment. Turning, she noticed a light not too far away, and obstructing that... was a body. Izzy stepped forward, slowly as she wasn't accustomed to being in such a position, to discover it appeared to be a Pokemon. And not just any Pokemon, but a Vulpix. "Hey? Hello?" She put a paw on the Vulpix's side and pushed slightly. "Vulpix?" |
Nicole moaned as she felt a pressure on her back and turned her head towards the source.
"What the?" She blinked and notice a small Eevee on her back. "Oh MY GOD! You are so cute!" Nicole went to jump up and grab the Eevee to find herself completely disorganized in movements. "Whaaaaa?" She questioned as she tried to recall what happened. "Shoot where's Izzy? IZZY!!!" She called out. Then realized that her voice sounded different as well. She shook her head and tried to refocus on her surroundings. Dazed she begin noticing the dark area around her. She sneezed as she inhaled dirt and dust blowing up more dirt from the ground and knocking the Eevee off of her. "Shoot sorry little Eevee!" She went to pet it on the head and as she did. Found herself looking at red paws. "WHAT HAPPENED!?" Nicole started to panic and became dizzy again and passed out once more. |
Izzy was thrown to the side when the Vulpix accidentally threw her to the side during all the thrashing and stuff she did when she woke. Izabel assumed it was a 'she' as the fox had a higher pitched and surprisingly feminine voice. Izzy was, however, being quickly disuaded of the idea this was a dream.
However, she was going to cling to the idea as she was not going to simply accept she was (apparently) an Eevee and she could understand the hysterical Vulpix before she fainted. Not to mention the Vulpix apparently knew her. Then an idea came to her... If the Vulpix knew her, then perhaps she knew the Vulpix? And there was only one person she knew that could be likened to a Vulpix. "Nicole?!" she half shouted, half questioned, hoping to wake the Vulpix back upas she went up and pushed at her again with her forepaws. |
"GET OFF OF ME IZZY!" Nicole woke back up drowsily feeling as she just was pulled outta a dream about finding herself to be a Vulpix. As she sat up she cracked her neck left and right before opening her eyes and then settled once more on the view of the Eevee.
"............." She remained in silents and started thinking things over again. "Hmmm.. okay. Eevee. Responses to Izzy. I "Think" i'm a Vulpix. Dark cave in God knows where. No memory but feels like a dream. Uhhh." She signed as she tried to let the information cross her mind. Not quite accepting it as she was a very logical girl. "Izzy... What am I?" She questioned the Eevee and stared at her for a second before looking up and seeing that the light above was fading into darkness as the light farther out to her right was as well. |
Izzy looked at her apparent friend and responded in a dry tone. "You've got aa muzzle, reddish-brown fur, four paws, and what appears to be more than one tail and a curled poof on your head." At the 'tail' part, she exdrimentally swished hers. She wasn't sure what was stranger: having a tail, feeling her body extend away from the base of her spine, or finding that she was rapidly becoming used to this form.
"You look like a Vulpix," she concluded. "Do you remember what happened?" she asked, worry becoming evident in her tone as her long ears drooped a little, the silver studs gleaming slightly in the waning light. |
"Not a clue..." She looked around and then closed her eyes to feel her body from within and study what she had become. She twitched her body and found that she could move parts she didn't have before and couldn't before. Her tail flopped left and right as her ears twitched to listen to her surroundings hearing the wind at the end of the cave and from above.
She opened her eyes slowly and began thinking out loud. "I would say that we should retrace our steps to find out how we became like this" She said as she looked up. " But due to the fact i don't think we can climb back up there, our current option is to move forward." She turned and started crawling towards the light on the dirt path made by earth. "By moving forward we can find out where we are and maybe find others to help explain whats going on to us." She said behind her. "And if not, maybe something will be remembered over time to us." |
""I certainly hope so," muttered the human-turned-Eevee. She walked towards the light with increasingly certain steps. Her body was strange, but it was becoming ever more natural at a very alarming pace. "Let's go, and maybe we'll get some answers."
((Sorry, short post.)) |
"Duh I just said that." Nicole claimed as they existed the cave and was led into a beautiful meadow with glowing flowers that shined like the moon above. Trees closed off the area to the outside as did mountains that stood steep. When Nicole turned to look where she came from she found that she was staring at a large tree bigger than any of the tallest buildings in the greatest cities. The place warmed her heart as she stepped into the gathering of flowers that adore her senses with sweets that she could only dream.
"I don't know where we are but it might have been possible that we died and gone to heaven" She sighed as she settled into the glowing lilies and inhaled the aromas around her. "This might not be so bad being a pokemon Izzy. I think I like it. If anything now that i'm more open to the idea, if anything shouldn't we train our bodies to handle our movements better and find out if we can function like a normal pokemon?" Nicole asked as she gazed happily over to her partner. |
While Nicole seemed to be exuberant about the change, Izzy had yet to feel so sure. If this was heaven, she wasn't entirely sure she wanted it. However, she had to admit the scenery was stunning. Slowly, she walked to the tree that towered over both the girls and the meadow. The sprawling limbs sent their shadows over the ground in advance of the setting sun.
"Wow..." Smells assulted her nose in ways they hadn't before. The world seemed fresher and quieter. It was so odd... Nicole's words were lost on her in all the natural splendor. Then her words registered. "Uh... yeah. Yeah." |
Nicole giggled a bit and then slowly rose to sit next to Izabel.
"If you like we could camp here tonight and start first thing in the morning with training. I think we could just go off what we used to do as trainers with pokemon. Have you ever trained an Eevee before? Because I kinda did but changed my babies fairly quickly. As myself I know Vulpix's moves very well." She said as batted at one of the flowers and watched as the pollen floated away making the night sparkle. "If I had known there was a place like this around before.... I think I would give up living in the city in a heart beat." She felt peaceful being here. Relaxing she sat and listened to the wind once more again and heard the grass and flowers swaying within the winds' breeze and the tree shake and rattle with the leaves that decorated them so. Then she jumped as she heard a twig snap and stood alert and listened for any more noise. "I think i heard something!" |
"Eevees are normal types. I've trained plenty of normals before," commented Izabel, raising one ear up and lowering the other as she looked to Nicole. "My faves were always headbutt and bite."
When Nicole heard something, Izzy did as well. She, too, stood, her ears alert. She padded over to where her friend stood, watching the brush where she thought the soundnhad come from. "Who's there?" she called warily, not really wanting to test out her favorite moves just yet. |
Nicole inhaled and held her breath to test her skills and summoned the move Ember and aimed slightly above the noise to avoid burning anything and to spot the source. She watched as a dark figure bolted from one bush to another.
"Don't move or the next one won't miss!" She called out as she got up and started moving towards the shadow. "If you show yourself and don't attack I won't either!" She watched and waited for anymore movement. Its stayed absolutely still hoping that Nicole and Izzy would leave it alone. When Nicole made no movement to ignore the creature it slowly came out into the moonlight. [Pokemon Oddish appears] Oddish stayed low and was slightly cowering towards the fire pokemon and stuttered as it attempted to speak. "I .. i'm s..s.s..orry ifff I ssstartled you." Nicole watched the pokemon and then nodded. "Not really. But you can never be to careful." She said. The Oddish relaxed a little before introducing himself. "My name is Lish, may I ask yours?" Nicole introduced herself and then waited for Izzy to respond. |
Izabel also introduced herself. "Um, we're new here, Lish," she started, finding that speaking to a Pokemon and understanding said Pokemon slightly unnerving. Then again, it was something to be expected. She was now a Pokemon herself. "Is there any place we could stay the night?"
Izzy found she could see better in the confusing half-light of the forest gloom better than usual. Which was a good thing as she didn't want to lose sight of the Oddish if it (he/she?) chose to do something funny. Granted, it looked a bit too scared to try anything... at the moment. Good thing Nicole had turned into a Fire type. Of course, just because she had the advantage at the moment didn't mean she couldn't lose it... Just like Izzy could. That was just the way of Pokemon. ((These more action-y posts tend to suck.)) |
The oddish shook his head no and then quickly ran off instead of sticking around like Nicole had hope. Before he left she made sure to get his scent though and planned on following him back to where he would go for the night.
"We'll just find another place to chill for the night, and if worse comes to worse i could always build a fire to keep us warm." Nicole said turning back to Izabel. "I find that the Oddish wouldn't be much help anyway." She no longer heard any noises around her and decided to move back into the flower field and stared at the moon. "We should just get some rest for now. First thing tomorrow we'll start training. We need it." She used ember again into a closed patch of flowers burning them down into a black mosh and curled herself into a comfy circle laying on the warm scent of flowers. "Come Izzy. Lay down." She yawned then started falling asleep as the moon shone above in the sky and the stars glittered. |
Izzy padded over and settled next to the fire, curling up so that her tail covered her face, keeping it warm. Her ears settled into a relaxed position as a slight breeze tugged at her fur. "I hope," she began before raising her head up. "I hope we figure out what's going on soon." She yawned, white teeth flashing momentarily. "G'night, Nicole..."
With that, she drifted off, burying her face once more into the soft fur of her tail... *-*-*-* The next morning dawned and a thin fog covered the ground, making the ground damp with dew. Izzy woke up, feeling warm up to a point, but after that, she felt a bit damp. She looked at the brown fur in front of her that was tipped in white and took a long moment to process what she was seeing before her face. Her tail... The highly-confusing events of the day before came back to her and Izzy immediately sprang to her feet. "Ohmigosh!" she yelped, realizing that yesterday had been no dream. Her ears, erect due to her being startled, were pulled by the breeze that ruffled the mane-like fur around her neck. Beyond her convenient sight, she heard chatter that sounded like birds speaking to one another. There were any number of flying types. Pidgey, Spearow, and their evolutions just to name a handful. Izzy couldn't remember them all. However, she could realize that she and Nicole were certainly not completely alone. She turned to her friend and observed her for a long moment, judging how asleep she was. Izzy was hungry and quite honestly she wanted to go get something to eat. But where would she get food? Obviously, Pokemon ate berries and grass and stuff, but Izzy didn't think an Eevee stomach would very well handle grass. Berries, however, sounded wonderful. As if to accentuate that line of thought, her stomach gave a thin whine. |
Nicole's ears twitched as she listened to Izzy yelped and opened her eyes drowsily and turned to her friend. She yawned then asked. "What's up?" Nicole continued to stay laying down for a minute then heard Izzy stomach growl. She snorted with laughter to herself then slowly got up.
"I can always count on your stomach to be the alarm" She giggled. She licked some of her fur to dry off some of the sitting dew which she enjoyed because it tasted fresh. "What do we eat?" She wondered. Then started thinking about making herself some eggs and toast. "Damn. Where do I find that." she thought to herself out loud. "Let's wander around the forest and see if we can find anything. And maybe sneak us an egg or two." She thought mischievously as she started walking towards the trees. "And before you even ask me how i'm gonna cook.. Fire type remember. I may not use other pokemon like this but i sure as hell can take advantage of my skills." She snickered and entered the forest. |
Izabel snorted, laying her ears back slightly as she swished her tail. "Stop blaming me for being a foodie!" she said. "And I wish I had some coffee!" She followed Nicole into the forest and immediately spied a bush full of Oran Berries about twenty feet away. "Ooh! Berries!" She bounded over to it and sniffed happily. "And they smell ripe! Yum!"
She carefully grabbed a berry with her teeth and pulled it off the bush. Dark juice squirted out as her teeth punctured the flesh of the fruit before she flipped her head back and ate the entire thing in one go. "Dish ish gooooduh!" she mumbled around her mouthful, her eyes alight with pleasure as she looked at Nicole. |
As Izzy went to turn and look at Nicole, Nicole was in a crouch ready to pounce on a pidgey also eating some berries not far off. She was debating in her head if she wanted to catch the pidgey now or follow it to its home and check to see if there were any eggs. As her stomach growled the pidgey started looking tastier. "Shhhhhh my pretty, you won't even notice a thing." She whispered as she crawled closer. She didn't even care what she was about to do. Her mind didn't even register that she was about to hunt a pokemon and that she was pretty much a fox. All her thoughts as herself faded into her new body and mind. She was getting used to the idea as living as a pokemon. Mainly due to the fact that in her past she used to hunt and go camping with her dad for survival just for fun. This was something that seemed normal to her. It was like she knew everything and why she was so willing to be completely at ease to the idea of everything she was gonna do and was doing.
She had inched within reach of the pidgey as she was in thought. As she crouched a little lower she readied her fangs and a possible ember attack on the bird. She figured it would taste like any other bird and hoped it had enough meat in it to satisfied her hunger. Later she planed on squishing the berries into a drink instead of eating them to wash down her soon to be breakfast. |
Izzy choked on her berry when she saw what Nicole was about to do to the poor Pidgey. She spat it out and made a bunch of noise, trying to dislodge the food, but apparently her sputtering was enough to startle the Pidgey into flight. "What's wrong with you?!" she demanded. That's a Pokemon! Not a stupid bird!!!"
((Gah! Stupid short post! I really miss my laptop!)) |
Nicole sighed as the pidgey flew off and then turned to her friend.
"What's wrong with me!? Chick think about it. What do you think they eat? Those pidgey eat caterpie and what do you think those caterpie did to deserve that? Nothing. Its the food chain, think about it. Bird go after worm. It gets exp. I go after bird, and I get exp. Now what you should be more worried instead about what I eat is if something comes to eat us! Maybe we'll get eaten by a Charizard or maybe an Ursaring or maybe just for the hell of it, a Carnivine." She said and half yelled as she ripped a few berries from the bush and then started to shove them in her mouth and eat outta anger. "I wanna train soon. Before I started getting ready to pounce the damn bird it was talking to itself about a wild Charizard in the area gone rouge." She made a very discontent face as she swallowed more berries. Her face a mess with berry juice and twisted with anger. "I'm not crazy Izzy." She said and gave her friend the stank eye. "I'm just being smart. And maybe a little brutal." |
Izzy looked shamed... and she understood, in a way. "I'm sorry," she said automatically. "But I've never had Pokemon fight to the death and I just... I cant't find it in myself to do that sort of thing now... It's wrong. We could fight each other, right?"
She hoped Nicole could understand. She didn't want to be hurt or even killed, but for her entire life as a trainer, she protected and ensured her Pokemon never got so injured or sick their very lives were threatened. "Yo," came a voice out of nowhere and the Eevee spun to look that direction. "You two are new." A Wartortle appeared from the foliage. Izzy stared. "Name's Blast." The Wartortle looked between the two with a critical eye. "Where are you from?" It was obvious the Pokemon was a male and very confident. Perhaps it was because he knew he was stronger than them, especially with Nicole being a Fire Type. "And what's your names?" "Mine's Izabel... and this is my friend..." She left it hanging so that Nicole could speak up. |
Nicole snorted slightly annoyed with Blast's personality and simply turned her head away completely ignoring him. Then spoke quickly to Izzy. "We'll finish this chat later and yes I was planning on training with you."
Nicole shifted away to avoid eye contact with the wartortle and hoped he wasn't stupid to try anything at her. She was still jumping with adrenalin and wanted to pick a fight. So she would just let Izzy do the talking with this pokemon instead of taking lead like she normally did. (sorry for short post LAWL i can't think of much ) |
((It's okay!))
Izzy flushed with anger and hurt at being dismissed so abruptly by someone she trusted. Blast stared between the two. She turned to look at the Wartortle with a clearly irritated expression. "I'm sorry, Blast, but my friend-" At this, she shot a glare at Nicole. "-normally has better manners." "Uh, hey... It's okay," he said, looking between the two of them. Izzy wasn't sure what he was thinking, but it seemed to be somewhat calculating to her. "So... you've got an odd name," he started, trying to push the conversation back on track. "Where'd you say you were from again?" Izzy looked at him with suspicion. "I didn't," she said slowly, thinking to herself 'He's kinda pushy... and nosey.' "Do you know the area?" she asked, deliberately asking another question in response to his. "Of course!" the Wartortle replied, standing a touch straighter. "Want me to show you around?" Izzy looked at Nicole, wondering what her friend would say. |
Nicole signed as she said. "Sure show us around, not like we have much to do anyway. And quit asking where we're from, we don't even know the answer to that seeing that we woke up completely confused as to where we are you'd think to use your brain a little and realized that we most likely got some kind of brainwash from someone at some point." Nicole said bluntly and gave back a cold stare to them both and then got up from sitting and started walking towards the forest.
"Well you gonna give us a lovely tour?" |
((If you want to take over Blast here and there, you kinda get the picture of his personality so far. He's fairly two-dimensional and only serves the purpose of moving the story along.))
Both Eevee and Wartortle stared at the Vulpix for a long moment before they came back to themselves. "Yeesh, I was just asking... and come on." The Pokemon moved through the brush he had emerged from and Izzy followed after him, hoping that this wasn't an incredibly stupid idea. She had no idea how strong either she or Nicole really were at the moment, so they could either wind up winning a fight easy or come out very battered. As they walked, Blast was pointing out various things... Most of them Izzy didn't really think were really necessary as they were mostly centered around the fact that Blast had done something there. However, there were a few tidbits of information she found useful... and they were coming up on one of them. "And this is the pond!" he said, gesturing grandly at the pool of water being fed by a stream that fell a couple of feet over a rock ledge into the pond, forming a small waterfall, before continuing it's journey on the other side of the pond and on downhill. There was a small log bridge spanning the stream at that end, facilitating getting over the stream without getting one's paws or fur dirty. At the moment, there were a few Pokemon around the watering hole, most of whom were taking a drink and others were splashing themselves with water, obviously cleaning up a bit. |
