Do you have a character?

When you join an avatar site do you create a character for yourself? This avatar (hey hey, this is Jenny, you all know me XD ) is based on a character from a book. He is called Jason, is a werewolf and is a stripper for a living.

I tweaked him for a fanfic and he just grew on me. Lupanar actually is the ritual meeting for werewolves in the world he comes from.

What about you?

Panda 01-07-2011 01:52 PM

Lupanar 01-07-2011 01:58 PM

I used to do that, but the real me is boring XD So I create characters and make their outfits. I like to have a goal.

Veshora 01-07-2011 01:59 PM

Hardly ever. Sometimes I make my mules on an avatar site mimicking a certain character, if the items on the site allow for that in a way it can be recognized. But for my main self, I just buy whatever clothes look good to me.

Also, I like to change a lot, so it would be hard to limit myself to only one certain character. Sometimes it's even hard for me to limit my mules. On the very few sites that don't care about the amount, I tend to have around 5 core mules and create another one whenever I get an idea for a cool cosplay and the most fitting username to go with it.

Duchess 01-07-2011 02:01 PM

nope. not at all.

I'm quite fickle so my avatar is just whatever i think looks good.

My mule is a folklore character called La Diablesse tho~ She won't change since I just use her as a bank. Unless better items come out.

Poggio 01-07-2011 02:04 PM

Not my first account, but usually one of my mules.

Panda 01-07-2011 02:04 PM

Lupanar 01-07-2011 02:10 PM

I do change often and play my characters lives through items.

Panda 01-07-2011 02:11 PM

http://i593.photobucket.com/albums/t...link/watas.gif That's good. :3 For me, I just change my avatar however I want, since I don't really have a stable character. When there something good, I will try it on and if I like it I will keep it on my avatar.

Blaine 01-07-2011 02:12 PM

Blaine is my character. >|3 Hoohoho.

Lupanar 01-07-2011 02:16 PM

I mean my partner always cosplays characters on her accounts, so I kind of do the same bar my main.

Shenandoah 01-07-2011 02:20 PM

My mule is currently named after one of my favorite OCs that I created. I made an avatar similar to what she is supposed to look like, though I know it isn't perfect in my mind.

Lupanar 01-07-2011 02:35 PM

This avatar isn't done yet. It needs some cute little ears and maybe a furry top to finish it off.

Panda 01-07-2011 02:37 PM

Shenandoah 01-07-2011 02:47 PM

Usually, though, I tend to dress however I want to on my main. It's not usual of me to use one of my OCs for a screen name, though.

I like your avi, Panda!

And Lupanar, I hope you get your ears soon as well. It'd be good. You could have almost had them either with Zephyr's ears, though.

Panda 01-07-2011 02:48 PM

Shenandoah 01-07-2011 02:55 PM

XD You're welcome.

Nightmare 01-07-2011 02:55 PM

Mine tends to stay based around my username as best as I feel like.

Coda 01-07-2011 03:04 PM

I've got a handful of basic themes I stick to, but my avatar in any site or game tends to evolve according to what I find that fits the theme. So my avatar here on Trisphee has evolved towards digital corruption even though that wasn't part of the original character.

Lucid: 01-07-2011 03:11 PM

Is that it? I thought Coda just really liked Green and Tron Lines. ;D

Coda 01-07-2011 03:24 PM

The Coda character does like green in most incarnations, yes, but the Tron lines are unique to the Trisphee version.

llMerill 01-15-2011 08:38 PM

x

Mica 01-18-2011 08:04 PM

Nope, usually I'll do it for a screen shot but overall my real purpose for avatars is to make cool things that look fun, crazy- sometimes representing my mood or some sort of 'look'. XD

17th 01-19-2011 10:07 AM

This avi is a character. Her colors are purple, black and green lol. As far as personality though, I don't really get in character or else I'd be a lot more boring. xP

dragoness129 01-23-2011 03:44 PM

I like to always have a sexy look going on my avie.
I also love relating it to something dark, dragon, or elf like.
My color scheme is mostly Purple and Black.

Silverbleed 01-23-2011 04:00 PM

Nope, it's basically just me just 'dressing up' the way I like to =)

Uke 01-23-2011 09:29 PM

I usually just play around but sometimes my avatars become their own characters. I don't create them with that intent, however.

Fiyero 01-23-2011 10:30 PM

I dont generally create a character or anything.. I just act like myself and make avatars that I think look good..

Hotaru Suzuki 01-24-2011 01:14 AM

Mine would be an OC based on myself.... erm. Not here though... not yeat anyway... noob still... Hence why I'm Bald. But usually, yes, my avatars often built on my OC.

Vinyl 01-25-2011 04:14 PM

Not usually no. I never really create a certain character on my main as that creates constraints in the future. I will however do cosplays of characters (either self created characters or actual characters that others will recognise) or sometimes I shall create a mule and use that as a specific RP character. Though the latter is a very rare occurrence.

Angel Spirit Girl 01-30-2011 03:02 PM

I don't much put a separate personality in my avatars.

Taiania 01-30-2011 03:04 PM

Not this one at the moment (It won't last long) , but my mule is a character called Lauraley, a young looking vampire who just lost her butler in a car crash.

Bonnie 01-31-2011 09:17 PM

Yeah, Bonnie is a sorcerer from a story I've been writing.
I don't currently have my avatar dressed as him, but I do on all the other sites I'm on.
He had his eyes stolen from him by the villain, yet he can still see...

I don't rp with him or anything, it's just a sort of personal
thing/habit to make my avatar into my characters...

Arachnocampa 02-02-2011 05:34 PM

I've been thinking of making a mule based off one of my OCs, but I'm not sure who~
And the one I have in mind would require me giving up this skin, which I don't really feel like doing. >u<

Recently, most avatar sites I go on I "cosplay" a character from the series Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Right now, I am cosplaying "FEM!Tsuna", which is just a genderbent version of the main character. But on other avatar sites, like Gaia, I cosplay male Tsuna. I never really create a character for myself. Though, these avatars are gorgeous, and I might in the future.

johnny 03-13-2011 10:00 AM

If I create a "cosplaying avatar" or a character, it's usually a joke of some kind.

Ashley 03-13-2011 03:49 PM

Hm I usually make one of my mule accounts similar to an OC of mine. I usually base them off of my OC Luna, but sometimes use Chloe or Cara.

Jyuudaime 03-13-2011 07:32 PM

http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...tei27thing.png

I normally don't use avatar sites to make characters. I enjoy the free reign when you draw out something.

Glass Heart 03-16-2011 03:42 AM

I sometimes thinking of something that represents me or something important to me, other times it is based off of something
though avatar I have on here is based off of emotions at one important part of my life that I had to grow from

Kit Katy 03-20-2011 12:11 AM

Most of my avatar creations are based on my inner self. My inner self being dark, perky, and disturbing. It's the self that's best left under a veil and should only be revealed to trustworthy people.
