Sentinel Meddling [Rp+Chat]
"Mortals, lets test your potential..." Fakir whispered to himself as he arrived on the surface of Quesaria, smack dab in the middle of the battlefield. A basic illusion of disguise prevented either side from viewing him as hostile, as from the divine side his armor was white as snow which blended nicely with the foot soldiers, and from the corrupt side, armor black as night once again blending in nicely.
Fakir began to weave his illusionary realm, a separate arena from the hectic battlefield. When the vast stone fighting arena was complete he began to spot out worthy test subjects. And thats where you come in. "Congratulations, You have been selected from the battle field in order for one on one matches to occur. Your bodies are safe and protected so feel free go go all out. Now show me your potential!" |

(YAY FINALLY FAKIR POSTS SOMETHING. -cough-)
Espy blinked a few times. An arena of sorts...? Where exactly am I? And why am I here? She looked around. The place was deserted, and she sensed no tangible way of leaving, so she took a seat, waiting for another person perhaps as confused as herself. |
Fakir bows to the first
"Welcome to my realm. if you have any questions please feel free to ask." |
The Duchess found herself in a strange place, which was odd since she was just enjoying tea and cake in the shade of a peculiar tree. She did not appreciate this war at all, and she definitely i did not enjoy being relocated to such an odd place.
"Where in the world am I?" She thought. The place resembled a training ground of sorts that she used to see her guards sparring in. Would she be made to fight? Oh, how she hoped not since as royalty, she had no skills to speak of. |
"You are currently in my world," Fakir stated sitting next to Duchess "A proving grounds so to speak, be it skill in battle, wits, or even chance if you so choose.
I have accommodated for each, though I find most in war show more promise in battle than wits." |
Evergreen, a royal knight in charge of being the Duchess's guardian, fell flat on the ground right next to his lovely lady. After recollecting himself backup, he quickly scans around to address the current situation, and as it turns out both him and his lady are in some sort of fighting arena built entirely on stone.
"An...arena...? Now why would we be here?" - Evergreen thought to himself. "Because it's time for you to return to the game, perhaps?" - An eerie and sinister, yet playful voice appeared out of nowhere and questioned our knight. "Not everything is about game, you hear...?" - Evergreen expresses his displease at the mysterious voice as if he is talking to someone he knows full well about. As an attempt to ignore the distraction, he urges his mind to return to reality as well as the current situation. He turns around to check on the Duchess and quickly realized how awkward the situation she's in through her distinctive irritating look. "Are you all right, my lady...?" - Evergreen stands close to his lady, offering a protective gesture. He's well aware of his duty to protect the Duchess as she is a very important part to him...and to the game... "Now just who might you be...?" - Evergreen questioned the mysterious yet divine figure that has suddenly appeared right next to his lady. |

After riding a bit longer she pulled back the rains of her horse as she eyed the sight before her. This seemed to peek her curiosity as she edged her steed forward, nearing the building she dismounted silently. Her hands were steady an her breathing light as she walked towards this odd structure. Upon nearing it an hearing voices her ears dropped a little seeing three Divines. 'great this place is already taken by them?' she questioned herself before taking notice of the fourth figure, it wasn't like the other two..it looked corrupt by the armor but why would one of her own 'chat' with the Divine? Something was wrong here an she couldn't quite put her finger on it. She stayed her ground keeping herself out of sight, she'd see what she could overhear from the current conversations at hand before she announced her presence. Though at the rate she was going the horse alone could give her away at any second.. though he was a pure bred Shire and more then trained for war and battle situations.. he wasn't the brightest of horses she had crossed paths with. She continued to hold her ground.. waiting an listening. She was a elf before the corrupted transformation that had turned her into the beast she was currently, though she seemed to retain all of her abilities as far as fighting went an her normal tactics minus her control over plants.. that seemed to be out of her grasp for the time being. .·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦ .· º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·. |
Espy looked up, bleary-eyed, from a quick snooze. In surprise, she noticed three new people.
So the green-haired man is a sort of...knight or guardian of the lady in pink? Are they hostile, or...? She stood up quietly, with katars unsheathed, and watched them closely. |
It would seem that Fakir was perhaps a bit zealous in creating his world and drawing in subjects, because he also managed to pick up one of the Divine captains.
Admittedly, Dacorum looks just like any of the human soldiers belonging to his regiment. The captain of the Divine Guard doesn't flaunt his supernatural nature. In his opinion, the best way to lead is by example. So he still retains the same appearance as his former human self, and his abilities aren't flashy or overstated; to anyone unaware of his true power he simply seems like a human being in good fitness. He is lean but sturdy, alert, and swift. Those who find themselves locking blades with him, however, quickly discover that he is not so easily dispatched: Dacorum can weather blows that would slay a mortal outright. He wears armor for the morale of his followers, not for his own protection. And it works: Those who fight alongside him aren't intimidated by the strength of the enemy, because they see their leader standing firm using what appears to be the same strength and abilities. But now Dacorum stands alone in a made-up world, waiting and watching to see what may come. |
Taishi appeared in the strange place and blinked a few times with her purple eyes "Now where have I ended up" she would say wandering around the area "An arena?" she would mumble to herself. Seeing another person she bowed her head a little in greetings, she herself would seem nothing but a fragile teenager "i have a bad feeling about this" she would say moving to one of the walls before kneeling on the floor, she felt like a caged animal but gor now she would remain quiet and see what the fates had decided for those in this place

'bloody hell more Divines?' she had to say to herself, there was no way she was going to be able to take on this many at once at this rate.. though the setting of the area seemed to be one on one combat..or thats the feeling she got from it. She continued to keep her presence unknown, she'd rather see what this was all about before jumping into the middle of something she could not handle, let alone when she was out numbered. Her over-sized steed had stayed out of sight an quiet for the most part, she was thankful for this really in most cases he was a rather noisy brute. She knew something was up now by the presence of the sole other Corrupt.. letting himself get surrounded by the Divine he was either a spy or something else was amiss. .·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦ .· º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·. |
Taishi turned her head towards the hidden shadow 'I can see you.. I can smell the blood your weapon reaks of and your mount athough will seem quiet to most is breathing quite hard' she would say into the woman's mount 'Don't worry I shall not state your presence... though I do find this worrying' with that she turned her head back to the way it was and closed her eyes once more
|
Hmm...five people. One is Corrupt; I can smell it. The other four...No, three. One doesn't seem to belong in either. How can that be? The rest are Divine, albeit one emanates an aura on par with Taiye's...
She morphed into her vulpine form and thought directly to the large black horse she had sensed in the shadows, Do you know who these people are? |

Just because a few of them could smell the blood didn't mean she had to openly announce she was here. After pawing one hoof at the ground the horse shook his head an answered, no, just the one I am with they all seem to be on edge. He wasn't used to this much attention most didn't speak to him even in common tongue. Her ears went back as she let out a silent sigh and remained at her spot. She wasn't learning anything fast besides that this seemed to be a hot spot for her enemy... though she was going to make a mental note to herself to hunt down the merchant she bought that magic cleaning supply with.. it didn't hide the smell of the blood. .·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦ .· º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·. |
Taishi remained still, just wanting out of whatever she seemed to have just walked into so to speak. Letting out a small sigh she opened our eyes "Perhaps we are here, as someone's toys... or as an experiment" she would say quietly to herself
|
Fakir spotted the captain in the slowly growing mass of people. "Over zealous indeed, I apologize captain, I did not mean to grab you in my sweep. If you wish you may depart, unless you would like to confirm my data on you... Speaking of flawed sweeps, how did a horse get in here?" Fakir said, changing the subject abruptly and looking at the blood covered war horse, then disregarding it and gaining the attention of the few that were already here.
"Anyway, Now that more people have arrived My name is Fakir, and I heard that you mortals could have the potential to throw the world into chaos. And I'm here to confirm that little bit of information by testing your potential." Fakir seemed over eager when speaking, sizing everyone up in his head. "Here it matters not if brother attack brother because mortals are overall equal despite sides taken in this war. You may pick anyone, including me, now have fun and dont worry, you cant die even if you tried." |

She tilted her head a little, this being was a odd one.. not that she had the choice to attack any of her own faction with the lot that was here. Though this seemed to be a once in a lifetime chance she thought on the idea more shuffling outcomes through her head. Not being able to die made things different. She could test fighting styles an moves she wouldn't dare test without training. She rose from her spot an moved back to lean against the horse who snorted at her before shaking his head. Patting the beast lightly she smirked a little 'this could prove informative in more ways then one' she said more between the two of them then anyone else let alone it held her old elven tongue to finish covering her aloud thoughts. .·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦ .· º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·. |
Fakir seemed to appear out of nowhere behind Rose. "Please feel free to exploit as much information as you feel appropriate" he smiled and quickly jotted down a couple notes.
|
Taishi remained still while listening to the man whom called himself Fakir speak to the masses 'Why me?' she would think to herself. Moving her hands infront of her a see through blue crystal book appeared. opening her eyes revealing her amathyst orbs once as she opened the book and watched as new words appeared a slight smile on her face as the book vanished "congratulations" she's whispered into the wind.
Her eyes then turned to Fakir "I refuse" she would state, closing her eyes once more, she didn't want to be a science project |
Dacorum raises an eyebrow in curiosity.
I have to wonder what kind of... "information"... you have on me. I cannot stay apart from my troops for long, but if your findings will help avoid catastrophe across this universe, I consent to my part in it. |
Taishi opened her eyes once more "Catastrophy" she would say with a worried tone, her eyes closing once again, her hands gripping at her robes as she sat 'we have the potential to bring chaos to the realm? How would he know such a thing? Did he just snatch us at random or where we choosen for some sort of purpose?' so many thoughts where runing through her head, shaking her head she tryied to bring peace to her mind once more

"I'm not exploiting it, more of taking advantage of opportunities that happen to come my way" She wasn't sure she liked being studied as this fellow seemed to be doing but eh how could she complain when no one here could die no matter what? Hearing the bit of chatter from the knight an the one who seemed suddenly worried she rolled her eyes a little before she started to walk towards both of them. "You sound a bit worried at the thought a few clashes between the factions could bring the world spiraling into chaos" she laughed slightly once she was done "the worlds never in perfect balance as long as there are mortals walking it's surface, that I know already even if there was one left there'd still be conflict" She didn't act like she thought too much on this, her thoughts about humans were the same as when she was her elven self, humans can't be trusted. As far as any of the other mortal races she cared little for them to each their own an all that. She just knew she was not going to worry her head off about all the details behind this event at hand. .·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦ .· º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·. |
Taishi remeained still and silent, nothing had started yet thankfully, though she was wondering why she was here considering her races rules when it came to the gentler of the genders and fighting, she knew she was excempt from such a rule but still she didn't like fighting and would avoid it when possible
|
Duchess became flustered at Fakir's words. "Testing?? I DON'T WANT TO BE TESTED!" She squealed at the mysterious person. He was on her side...wasn't he? She breathed heavily, with her frustration rising every second.
She looked around her and saw that many commoners from her own faction were also present. "Sir!" She demanded of her knight in waiting. "I am not fine at all and I suggest you question these.. uh.. people here if there's a way out." She plopped herself back unto the floor and donned a small pout on her lips. The area seemed never-ending. In each direction that she turned, she could see the pillars continuing into the direction. "Calm down Duchess... You don't want to lose your cool now do you?" She breathed a heavy sigh and closed her eyes tightly. |

She had to laugh seeing this thought, these where her foes? Part of the Divine that could tip the balance? There had to be a mistake most of them didn't seem too eager to fight an the actions from the one was just childish, pouting like that. She didn't say anything keeping her thoughts to herself on such matters. .·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦ .· º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·. |
Taishi opened her eyes as soon as the woman had an out burst "Miss, there is no reason to get agitated over this." she would say gently "We are at his mercy and until we do what he wills I very much doubt we will be able to go about our normal lives" she would say closing her eyes "Eventually we will have to fight one another to see if we can actully destroy the balance of this realm... if we can I can only imagine what will happen" she would say once more her voice sounding solum when thinking about the situation

For the first time in quite a while, Espy laughed. Her cold chuckle reverberated through the place, and she walked towards the people, casting off her robe.
"It seems we'll be stuck here for....quite a bit. Since there's nothing to do, and no way to die, why don't we have some fun?" She was more annoyed than murderous and cold; she just wanted something to do. Boredom could easily overtake her, and even Espy would talk if bored enough. "Well? I'm up for fighting. From the looks of it, I could take on two of you at the same time," Espy said, more to provoke than to insult. |
"Fighting is something that uncultured brutes do!" Duchess spat back. How could they dare expect her to sink to their level? "I refuse to partake in such a primitive action." She continued to sit in place and pouted.
"I'm a Grand Duchess of Sacheria. I don't fight and I'm sure my knight would find a way out of here. He's very reliable....". But was he? Sir Evergreen had done a lovely job protecting her from since she could remember, albeit a little odd but a fine job nevertheless. She laid on her back and closed her eyes yet again, hoping to drift away from this dreadful place but that obviously did not happen. The sounds of the restless commoners disturbed her quest for peace. |
Me, an uncultured brute? Espy snorted in exasperation.
"Excuse me, ma'am, but I have better things to do than to sit there. That won't get me anywhere. I can't exactly leave here whenever I want, and not doing anything certainly isn't going to help much." |
.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦ .· º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·. "fighting is used for more then just mindless slaughter" she had to add her five cents to this "your ancestors fought, it was territory or food. Sure war is probably one of the most pointless things ever invented by humans but that doesn't mean fighting makes you a mindless brute either." She sighed a little before crossing her arms. How simple minded could you get there were reasons to fight.. sure most fights didn't end presently but you couldn't just go about your life thinking all those who fought were mindless brutes, heck she had to fight before to try an save her homeland even though it failed in the long run it was still something she thought worth fighting for. "But yes it would seem we'll be here for a bit, depending on how long it takes for our host to get his bit of entertainment out of this." she didn't seem to care if she was being used in a experiment of sorts, nothing she could do about it now. After a moment she smirked a little "besides think of the fights here as a sort of spar, you can't die wso why worry about it?" .·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦ .· º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·. |
Taishi would sit quietly listening to the happenings around her "Miss, I very much doubt your guardian will be able to find a way out of here... I am unable to get out of here and I can fade and teleport..." she let out a sigh "My daughter just gave birth to her first child and I couldn't be there to help her through it" she would say gently as she stood up and walked over to Dutchess 'And please do not perceive that everyone here is a commoner' she would say into the girls mind as she begain sitting down next to her 'My name is Umarii Shinada Shidi.... I am the empress of my race and the Taishi' she would continue into the girls mind allowing this information to be for her alone 'The keeper of secrets and the guardian of balance for my race' she finish into her mind though she would sound frustration.
Taishi then opened her eyes and traced them to the other woman "I have no reason to fight and thus will not" she would say closing her eyes once more "My moral and ethnics, please understand" she would say gently "Besides instead of fighting we could just play games" she would say with a light chuckle, trying to raise moral and spirits. Taishi then opened her eyes once more hearing the voice of the blooded one "You are correct, everyone fights for something... or they have done at one point or another..." she would say as her eyes went down to the girl next to her 'You've been far to sheltered child' she would say closing her eyes once more (Had to edit for rose's post) |
.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦ .· º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·. She couldn't help but give the one who spoke of playing games a rather odd look, after a moment she placed a hand over her face. "My commanders going to slaughter me as it is for not returning to my post let alone if I try to explain this bind I'm in to him" she groaned slightly. Really truth be told she wanted the war to be over, pointless fighting was indeed just that.. though a good spar every once in a while kept your wits about you and helped improve your ability to fight for what you believed in. Plus the fact she had changed form altogether from when the war started.. she was rather missing her old self an abilities. She turned to look back at her horse that seemed to be stuck with her as well. Rolling her eyes she moved to walk back towards the over-sized creature as she placed a hand on it's side. "fine mess huh?" she half laughed thinking about it, she was stuck in a unknown place let alone to be surrounded by the Divines an held against her will by a being that seemed to want to use the lot of them in whatever experiment he had set up. The horse snorted once seemingly ignoring by all of it, let alone paying attention to his rider. .·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦ .· º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·. |
Taishi looked to the woman "I fight to protect... at the moment there is nothing I wish to protect here and thus have no need to fight" she would say standing and walking towards the woman and her companion, stopping infront of the horse she went into her side pouch and brought out some carrots holding them out to it "He's a marvolus creature" she would say to the woman "I know you likely see me as an enemy, although, it doesn't mean we can't be civil... if circumstances where diffrent, who knows... we could have been friends" she would say with a smile
|
Dacorum looks vaguely annoyed.
Your grace. There's a definite hint of sarcasm. If I may ask, why were you on the battlefield in the first place, then, if you refuse to raise arms? He ignites his weapon. I want to see if there's something to this claim about you mortals, as well. If the lot of you are a representative sample of what Quesaria has to offer I feel as though there is nothing to worry about. |
Taishi turned back to the man when he sparked up his lance "She is a child, perhaps she got lost... Perhaps her guardian was called up and she couldn't bare to be seperated from him. There are circumstances... who knows she could have ran away" she would say her voice sounding defensive of the young girl "And I'm sorry if we don't seem to be fighting, when you will it... WE ARE NOT ANIMALS OR SLAVES AT YOUR BEACON CALL, TO DO SUCH THINGS!" she would yell to him, this whole situation was getting to her. Moving back to where she first sat, she would kneel "Deitys and highter powers should have no say here, we are mortals... our life spans may be diffrent and we may fight for our own reasons" she brought her head and her knees together "but eventually we die, I do not wish to destroy life and thus only fight and take life to protect it" she would say her eyes closing as she thought to her daughter and her new grand child
|
Dacorum narrows his eyes. Have some respect for your captain! Do you think I like bloodshed any more than you? Do you not know the code of my brigade? My blade is to protect, to defend; I am a shield for those behind me.
It is not my will or my desire for there to be fighting, either here or on the battlefield. But regardless of my wishes, there IS a war going on, and there is talk of this war upsetting the very universe. I must do what I must do to bring PEACE and ORDER to Quesaria, and to all of Trisphee by extension. And to do that, I must know HOW mortals fight. I must know WHY mortals fight. If all of your kind thought like you, I would have nothing to fear. I don't know who this person is who has brought us here, but I have a keenly vested interest in the result of his findings. |
Taishi raised an eyebrow "My captain... I think not... I care not for this war" she would say looking over her knees "I've only taken up arms to protect my race... I'm going against my race's laws and traditions so they don't get harmed" she would say standing once more "My race lives in harmony, of course we have warriors to protect but we are happy with the paradise we have" she would say walking over to him sighing "If you want to fight so be it, we will fight... I am trully sorry if I caused you offence, I want to be back home, with my people and my family" she would say "people fight for diffrent reasons like I've already stated... Power, greed, land, protecting loved ones, protecting their home, love, some are slaves and have no choice but to fight for their freedom... I've already stated my reason, what is yours?" she would say moving back from him waiting to see what would happen next
|
My reason? I fight to protect the world, and to protect everyone in it. I fight to keep the corrupting influence of the Dark God from drawing the universe into chaos.
He grows quiet and looks around for Fakir. |
