Genshin Impact: Who's Playing?
 

So a new free game came out recently called Genshin Impact. It's available on PS4, PC, and mobile right now(but should be available for Switch soon!)

I currently play it on my PS4 and I love it a lot! It's really fun and a really good game for being free! (The catch is a gacha system for characters).

Does anyone else play??

I'll have to remember to check it out bc once you say free I'm like WHERE?!

What kinda game is it?

I see gacha and I run screaming in the opposite direction.

My brother is currently addicted to it now. =u= His girlfriend too.
Also nearly every single one of his friends.

Meanwhile, I'm just avoiding the hype train again.
<.<; I tend to do that with most games and shows and stuff, until the hype dies down. I did that for Undertale and Breaking Bad respectively.

x'D Lol. Same. Except I have Gacha Club for my phone. BUT I use it to just make little stories of my OCs. -u- I like customization TOO much, and this app has a crazy amount of variety for me to fiddle with.

I tried it, but I'm way too obsessed with Final Fantasy 14 again to really try another long-term game like that. Maybe I'll try again when it's on switch, but... ehh...

I played it not long ago (although in a different server) and got less motivated the more I progress lol

It's an RPG game. It's really fun! :D

How's the multiplayer, if it's there at all? I could have sworn someone called it an MMO at some point, but I don't know if I misunderstood...

Also please tell me the voice acting gets better than freaking Paimon because she gives me a headache... :p-dead:

The English voice acting was kinda meh in my opinion, even though I switched its voice setting to Chinese voice in my gameplay and I lowkey agree with you about Paimon, Chrysothemis

So a friend told me this morning that Paimon is just a migraine made vocal in any language. Which... is kinda concerning. :<

Like Espy, I avoid Gatcha games. I haven't tried Genshin Impact, but I've seen lots of stuff about it. As gatcha go, it seems alright. And I love its character designs.

That said, I probably won't play it.

My guess is that she(Paimon) was created to be annoying to not just the MC but (most) players as well. Might as well wish we had an ability to turn her into a bowling ball to destroy enemies.

Yeah Paimon is kinda annoying, but the rest of the characters are great(especially Kaeya <3 )

The game itself is really good. I really like it..... :c

Well, I'm downloading it for ps4 right now since it is free, dunno how much I'll play but I can check it out at least.

Kaeya is pretty useful in combat since he's faster lol, along with other characters depending on situation... except maybe Amber =w=;

Yeah, I use him and Razor a lot. Both are my favorites currently. Venti is too but I couldn't pull him. D:

Ooo I see :o I got Barbara recently and her attacks are kinda so-so. I can't even get Razor, Venti or even Xiangling without feeling unlucky lol

Gacha games can be mean sometimes haha

I got Barbara as well but I haven't tried her out yet. ;-;

I got Razor and Xiangling, but not Venti. </3 Razor and Xiangling are fun. :3

Ooh I see! And you're right about Razor and Xiangling though, they're very fun to use to do combat and stuff haha

But I really hate stealth missions and the lyre is a stealth mission and I'm stuck in it

Although I'm not a fan of stealth missions in general ('cause 99% I will fail anyway lol), but for some odd reason I have little to no problem with the "retrieving the lyre" stealth mission when I played it for the first time.

Hmmm.... Try reading the guard's pattern first then you sneak past them as they turn away from you. (I'm really sorry if this sounds like a bad advice.. ^_^;; )

It's got two parts, from what I've seen, and I can't see the second part from the beginning

been thinking about getting into the game recently, but not sure if i should or if there'll be any performance issues with my laptop. (since, despite fitting the specs to be able to play no man's sky, it has lag issues.)

Yeah I fail at stealth missions too. :x (I get war flashbacks to FF7 when trying to get past Shinra guards and failing each time LOL)

That makes two of us lol, I lowkey remembered having an almost rage quit when trying to avoid detection while playing most of the older Assassin's Creed games and failed multiple times 'til I passed it. (@ _ @ )

Now I'm doing a different quest entirely where I gotta get the statues in the right order and aaahhh it's hard

Oh geez, I hate it when it comes to getting statues in the right order lmao

Either I would immediately give up or just search for a guide on Youtube xD Plus, I tend to prefer exploration than solving puzzles haha

I only have the first two characters and I think the gacha gave me a spear.

I don't care for the archer one too much.

Problem with yt exploration is going off the app makes the game break
No I can't just go on a computer I don't have one

Yeah. Make for some interesting troubles
Can't finish that challenge so now I'm on a different quest lol
