My birthstone is the sapphire, though I'm jealous of the May birthstone being an Emerald. At least jade comes in nearly the whole rainbow.

I don't really get birthstones. If I were to buy a beloved one some jewelry, I'd go for whatever precious stone they like best.

This is what I like about jade, it's lucky and it comes in whatever color you might prefer, or very nearly.
