Koprina's Drider Corner

It seems the shy drider has yet again come out of hiding! And yet again, she's set up cushions, chairs, and blankets in a corner for people who want to take a break and have a chat.

Witchchylde 08-13-2018 12:07 PM

Oh yay, nice comfy corner for a lil Witch to settle down on! I like the big fluffy green cushion a lot, looks like a mossy stone so it vibes with the whole Earth Mother energy!

tsukiko 08-13-2018 01:34 PM

*fluffs the pillows and sets out a variety of food and refreshments for all*

Derpy McBlueEyes 08-13-2018 02:12 PM

"HI!" Derpy waddles in, hugs everyone, then makes a beeline for the snack area.

Witchchylde 08-13-2018 06:12 PM

Aw, Derpy brought a friend1 So did I! This is a better Monday than most, says I.

Koprina 08-13-2018 07:23 PM

Koprina smiles a little as she sees everyone who has stopped by having a nice time. "Th-The more, the merrier!"

Kaderin Triste 08-13-2018 07:48 PM

Don't forget to share, Derpy!

This is a very nice place to relax. Very cozy! *burrows under a pile of blankets*

tsukiko 08-13-2018 10:56 PM

*refills the table* it's all good. i stayed up all night baking and cooking ^__^ i've got plenty

Witchchylde 08-13-2018 11:40 PM

Kitties are not that interested in baked goods that aren't fish or bird, so... they'll be entertaining themselves in their usual way, pouncing on eachother whenever they think they're not going to be seen.

Death by Mirrors 08-14-2018 07:41 AM

What a lovely place this is ^^

bluebird 08-15-2018 02:49 AM

hi im weird bye

idk why but everytime i see ur name i think "a cup of koprina" and it sounds like the coziest drink

Death by Mirrors 08-15-2018 04:09 AM

Doesn't her name translate to silk in some language, I wonder?

Somebody needs to tell this to the cats I've seen demolish cakes. XD

And my cat, Shade, who likes to try to steal my pizza crusts when he thinks I'm not looking...

Death by Mirrors 08-15-2018 07:30 PM

Can't blame cat for having good taste now, can you? xD

Veshora 08-15-2018 08:25 PM

Miss Koprina, may I please hide in your corner for a while? I brought macarons and craft baskets for everyone.

EverAshwood 08-15-2018 08:27 PM

Hello drider friend

LOL Only the crusts? Also, I have a RP character who is a black cat named Shade.

Witchchylde 08-16-2018 07:26 PM

Well, I suppose the rainbow kitty just might have more eclectic tastes that does a standard cat. Better keep an eye on anything with rainbow sprinkles or frosting then!

Well, he shows mild curiosity about most of my food in general, but only really actively hunts the pizza crusts. Oh, and milk. Cannot leave a glass of milk unattended or he'll try to drink it.

Koprina 08-18-2018 01:47 AM

*shyly waves to the newcomers*

Ozthus 08-18-2018 01:50 AM

Hello, Miss Koprina. *will sit down on one of the cushions and people-watch*

Tam I am 08-19-2018 01:28 AM

Hiya, Koprina! *offers chocolate covered ants*

That is pretty cute. But milk. ACK! No, kitty, that's as bad as a human drinking a quart of booze, it'll mess up your insides.

Kaderin Triste 08-19-2018 02:30 AM

He's never had any serious issues caused by milk drinking, but then again, he only manages to sneak a couple tastes of it once or twice a year. Usually because I think he's in a different room, so I will set my glass of milk down and walk away to grab something else.

Witchchylde 08-19-2018 11:02 AM

Our oldest Chiweenie, Remy, has a specific way to ask for milk. He coughs and then makes sad eyes, like if he can't have milk he's going to die. He usually reserves this act for whenever someone is actually drinking milk, of course.

Den 08-19-2018 09:37 PM

We have to guard our food because Lucy will actively try to steal some (especially bread. derpcat loves bread). She'll also try and steal twist ties, or milk if mom's been drinking some and leaves her glass out. Cisco will also actively try to steal food, and once, he managed to succeed.

tsukiko 08-22-2018 09:35 AM

*curls up in pain from being sunburnt*

Tam I am 08-22-2018 05:34 PM

*offers a wading pool with sunburn medicine in it*

Kaderin Triste 08-22-2018 08:39 PM

Ah yes. Weird cat stealing habits!
Shade also has a penchant for cotton swabs (so I have to make sure to put them in the kitchen garbage after doing nail arts), and also pieces of plastic. Especially if it makes good crinkly noises when he chews it...

MafiaBear 08-23-2018 05:33 AM

A Drider and a Bear walk into a bar...

idk where I'm going with this

tsukiko 08-23-2018 11:57 AM

ugh hasu is notorious about chewing on plastic :/

Tam I am 08-23-2018 07:31 PM

I was watching a Paul and Shannon toy review the other day, and their Siamese, Simon, was sleeping on the table one moment, and the next moment Paul's going, "Simon, stop eating that plastic!"

Kaderin Triste 08-23-2018 09:02 PM

Why do cats love to chew on plastic so much?!
XD

Witchchylde 08-23-2018 10:14 PM

Mice even eat plastic. By choice. As for cats, maybe it feels like skin or bones, depending on the density of the plastic being chewed on.

Kaderin Triste 08-23-2018 10:47 PM

My one cat chews on everything from grocery sacks to the more stiff/cellophane type shrink wrap plastics that stuff like some boxes of candy or bath bombs can be wrapped in.

The other one isn't much of a plastic chewer, but he does go for my yarn.

Witchchylde 08-23-2018 10:51 PM

It could be that the crackling sound entertains them, too. Same idea as tossing a ball of crumpled paper for them to bat around. Bonus points if it's shimy wrapping paper.

Kaderin Triste 08-23-2018 10:52 PM

I definitely think the sound has something to do with it. At least a little. Because he also loves crinkly cat toys.

Den 08-24-2018 03:01 AM

one of our cats loves shiny things. He has made off with bits of wire, bottle caps, paperclips, sewing needles... and he knows where we keep them.

Our other cat will steal twist ties like what come on packages of bread.

Witchchylde 08-24-2018 07:40 PM

Rosie loved playing with the plastic rings off of the gallon jugs of milk. Simba had a fascination with Hot Wheels. Dean hunts ponytail bands, to the point of pulling them out of my hair.

(Yeah, had to experiment with a Dridery avatar.)

Tam I am 08-25-2018 03:48 PM

Car cat.
