Heck, out here in the boonies, they've been setting off random fireworks after dark since June 30th.

Well, it's not completely off work, but we do close early. But I have tomorrow off to relax and I have two other people working, so I can focus on manager things.

I could do without it all myself. I just like that we get an extra day off (or well, that I will next time this one rolls around.) Haven't yet completed the 120 day training period as manager yet, so I don't get those spiffy bonus days off with holiday pay. I will by time Thanksgiving comes around! Yay! May be able to get my birthday off too because of it! Shit. No. It's a Monday. Can't take Monday off. >_<

I am jealous of people who work jobs that acually get holidays off...

Some holidays, the mall itself is closed, so that is how we are able to get those holidays off.

It's the kids around here Baybay Kids the kids get they hands on stuff and go nuts ALL NIGHT EVERY NIGHT there is something around here kids knock and run on knocking random doors at 3 am on a school night (during school time of year) they BAD then we are right next to the fire station so that's a nightly siren call and they are actually called here once a week at least on drug ODing in which the kids around here playing in the parking lot STAND IN FRONT OF THE FIRE TRUCK with it's siren on and honking and the kids look like ugh duh I'm going to just stand here >.<

Last week the bratz knocked on my door and threw water ballons at us o.o and busted my neighbors car side mirrors

Speaking of the bratz currently they have a board and are running around banging the board on our outer walls just to make noise and running up and down the stairs

AH, the mall...that makes sense. I don't work in the mall. But actually managed to score this year off as the museum is closed and they didn't schedule me to work at the craft store. But normally I'm in a retail position where I end up working because everyone else requests it off.

Damn, Gizzie, that sucks. :c
Come live in the ghetto here! The worst I've experienced is yelling in the alley behind the building. Although someone did get shot in a motel about a block away a couple years ago.

Kad - Yeah -hugs- I'll be working most of the holidays myself. Even though I get to make the schedule, I still have to be here most of the days of the week. Can possibly have off either a Tuesday or Wednesday, Thursday IF it is Not a truck week, Friday more than likely, Only one Saturday a month, and have to work only one Sunday a month. Have to be here every 1st, every truck day, every Monday. Things like that. XD
And having to work one night a week (so I do a 9-8 shift, like today). And I have to get 40 hours a week.
Freedom to pick and choose days, but yeah, not that much freedom after all.

Sounds like more days off than I get. I'd take it.

I'll trade you Dragoness, I only get Sundays off if I ask and then i have to work Saturday night. If i want the full weekend off i have to request it and then my boss typically grumbles about it because my counterpart doesn't work Sundays. I have to be there on Monday to order, and then typically I work Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, and either Friday or Saturday.

Well it's only two days off, but I can only pick from those days listed under those certain conditions.
Yeah, Monday is when we start our week and I have to complete all the things needed to send in to payroll and place any orders needed.

Same, Mondays suck at work. I really wish they were banned
