Den's Nox Feast

Before you, in a large, lantern and candle-lit clearing, there is a sizeable table, covered with festive tablecloths. On that table, in between the candelabras and individual candles, are various food items and pitchers of drinks.

At each place setting along the table is a small, flickering tea light candle, and a chair. A sign at the entrance to the clearing proclaims this to be a feast for all, and bids you to come, make merry, feast and drink, and just enjoy the meal and company of those who come to dine with you.

This is the Nox Feast, and all are welcome here.

-sits at the table with fork and knife ready- Are brainz on the menu tonight perchance?

trystan830 10-21-2017 09:15 PM

happy Nox everyone!

tsukiko 10-21-2017 09:20 PM

*brings something homemade and spoopy to add to the feast*

Den 10-21-2017 11:13 PM

*wanders through and greets everyone* Yo.

trystan830 10-21-2017 11:22 PM

hey there, den! lovely feast you have here!

Den 10-21-2017 11:23 PM

I would love to have a feast like this IRL someday. I even have a list started of vegetables that I'd serve...

Espy 10-22-2017 12:51 AM

-squints at alcohol selection-

Den 10-22-2017 12:56 AM

Amongst the seasonal selections, such as mulled wine and hot buttered rum, there's offerings of mead, spiced rum, various vodkas, whiskeys, scotches, and sake.

Death by Mirrors 10-22-2017 09:40 AM

Looks great. I'll bring some freshly baked brimstone bread along to add, and now excuse me while I need to taste a bit of everything.

SparX 10-22-2017 01:01 PM

I love baking meats. I could totally bring some Roast (pig and beef) and maybe char up some mutton. . . .

ZenKitty 10-22-2017 01:09 PM

I can bring some hot cider for that spiced rum. Yummy.

dragoness129 10-22-2017 01:31 PM

Lovely descriptions! -takes a seat at the table-

tsukiko 10-22-2017 02:24 PM

*takes a glass of hot buttered rum and quietly sips it*

Death by Mirrors 10-22-2017 02:29 PM

It's always a pleasure to gather 'round the table with friends and victims uh, people who could become friends in the near future.

Briefly wonders if she should be afraid, but shrugs it off and enjoys the hot cider with spiced rum.

*glances at the two kittens beneath the spider web*
Nah, I don't hurt cat owners. Who would open the food can if something unfortunate happend to you after all.

ZenKitty 10-22-2017 03:11 PM

Pixel and Presto thank you. :)

dragoness129 10-22-2017 03:57 PM

Awww, those are cute kitty names!

Death by Mirrors 10-22-2017 04:04 PM

Pleased to meet you, Pixel and Presto! ^^

ZenKitty 10-22-2017 04:26 PM

Thanks!

Pixel was the tiny one. Past tense as he's now 14 pounds!
Presto got his name for being an "instant" cat. Open the door - he's there. Pull out the food - he's there underfoot. Pet him - instant purrs. :)

Death by Mirrors 10-22-2017 04:37 PM

Haha, that sounds awesome!

dragoness129 10-22-2017 05:04 PM

I have a black cat in real life named Bruce Wayne. ^_^

ZenKitty 10-22-2017 05:16 PM

That's a great name dragoness. Does he get batty sometimes? :P

dragoness129 10-22-2017 08:20 PM

Yeah, he can be a little butt of a cat. Getting on things he shouldn't and knows better.

Den 10-22-2017 08:32 PM

Isn't that the nature of cats though? To get into as much mischief as possible and look adorable as fuck doing it?

ZenKitty 10-22-2017 08:32 PM

Sounds like a cat. :P

Den 10-22-2017 08:33 PM

We have two of 'em here. Mom's cat, Cisco, and Dad's cat, Lucy. Both of them are rescues.

ZenKitty 10-22-2017 08:38 PM

Rescues are the best!

Den 10-22-2017 08:41 PM

Yeah, but both Mom and I wish Lucy would be more amiable, like Cisco is. We were the ones who rescued her and got her cleaned up... and she'll hiss at us and growl at us when we're trying to pet her.

dragoness129 10-22-2017 08:54 PM

Yep, yep. At least he is an indoor and outdoor cat and we can put him outside when he is messing stuff up.

ZenKitty 10-22-2017 09:21 PM

We get kittens as rescues and then futz with them in every way possible. Presto would be a cat that didn't like to be held if I didn't carry he and his brother around and play with their paws and futz with their teeth and "pill" them with treats and rub their bellies. They had no choice but to succumb. :P

dragoness129 10-22-2017 09:31 PM

Awww, sounds adorable.
We got our kitty from the shelter when he was still really small.

ZenKitty 10-22-2017 09:53 PM

I found my namesake kitty in the winter. She was a tiny little white ball of fluff with ear mites and looked miserable. I carried her around everywhere and she would even ride on my shoulder when I drove around. She was the most mellow kitty I've ever seen. We would even meditate together. That's how she got the nickname Zen Kitty.

dragoness129 10-22-2017 09:57 PM

Awww, that does sound precious!

Crowly 10-22-2017 10:34 PM

That sounds so freakin' cute! My cat likes to lay on my shoulders, she's kind of a big kitty (not fat, just big) so it gets a little difficult to do things while she's on me.

Den 10-22-2017 10:40 PM

We used to have a grey, longhair tabby named Graycie. I trained her to ride around on my shoulders.

dragoness129 10-22-2017 11:07 PM

Bruce likes to lay and sleep on my chest, even when I am sitting at my computer.

ZenKitty 10-22-2017 11:23 PM

So many cute kitties out there. :)

Death by Mirrors 10-23-2017 03:12 AM

Indeed. Someone ought to post a photo.
