Hidden Words
While browsing through Trisphee, you come across a pile of scrolls in a dusty corner. Using the light of your flashlight on your smartphone, you blow the dust off of them and pick up one. unrolling it, you see it has rows of letters that seem to make no sense. But as your study each of them, you realise there are hidden words in them! And they all have something, somehow, to do with Trisphee! I will post one puzzle at a time, and your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to find the words listed at the right of it (there's 10), and the first 5 people who PM me a scan or picture of their completed puzzle will each get 1 event coin! Good luck on finding the Hidden Words - they're in the puzzles forwards, backward, up, down, and diagonal. =) |

|

|
Duly noted and recorded, Den!
|
-flails- Word searches are one of my favorite games >.>
|
I LOVE WORD SEARCHES SO MUCH I AM USING CAPS LOCK
first game that requires more than one post that I'll complete |
I'm glad everyone likes this!
I'll do some updating and administrative posts and pms shortly! |
Yay for word searches!
|
everyone has been duly noted.... and there's still one more slot for a winner! =)
|
I really want to do this, but I don't think I can on my phone...
:c |
If you grab the Sketchbook app, it lets you draw on pictures. There...should be a free version?
|
Might have to try that. On Monday when I am at the job that has wifi. Because otherwise downloading apps can take HOURS.
|
You could also use a printer from somewhere (library) and do it that way...
...or do it the /really/ long way and just write everything down. |
Actually, now that I think about it, if you can make a grid on paper and just write down the words that you found without filling in all the other letters, I'm pretty sure that'd be reasonable.
|
The library charges money to print and I have no actual cash for that.

A broke-ass one? Idk.
Like they don't really have many ways to make money? |
...Ick. It just...really bother me that a library would have you pay for something. Though I guess they have to find some way to keep it running...
|
Yeah. Totally sucks though.
And like, if you want to save files to take home, they used to (not sure if they still do) try to require people to buy a cheap flash drive. Mainly to ensure people weren't transferring viruses to the library computers by using their own flash drives or some shit. |
What about using Dropbox or something?
|
My library also charges for printing. Not much though, just a few cents, and since I don't have a printer at home ever since it broke... *shrugs* I'm just glad they don't charge for books, or I'd be terribly in debt by now.
|
I nearly forgot to renew a book yesterday :| It's the third time I've checked out this particular book over the paat few years and I srill haven't found the time to finish it.
|
Dropbox? For the library to use you mean?
(Because like...I just take my laptop to the library on the rare occasion that I feel like raising my anxiety level.) |
Like, if you want to transfer files.
|
Which particular book?
And yeah, I'd suggest something like dropbox too. In my local fablab there is a public server to store stuff on, but sometimes it can't be connected to, and then I'm uploading copies of whatever file I work on to my email account without hitting the send button to save them for later use. |
But...I just take my laptop. I don't need to transfer files...
|
Oh I thought you meant like...files from the library itself.
|
Haha...no.
To my knowledge, the library has no files to actually share from their computers like that. |
Okay! Puzzle 1 is completed!
Stay tuned for puzzle 2 to be posted below shortly!! |
I'm lazy but this looks like fun
|
right, so i got 6 completed puzzles in my PMs, but it's only the first five who get the coins. the list of winners will be in post #2, and you should already have an extra silver coin! =)

I needs to find a way to do this
|

Well I use my phone for it... my laptop is crappy lol
|
from back a page:
espy suggests: Quote:
also: my local library also charges to print pages, but it's something small like 10 or 20 cents a b&w page. maybe a dollar to print in color. i don't know for certain though. pinkie - also on page 1 was the suggestion of the Sketchbook app, that you could use on your phone? |
also, i'll be offline (aka at work) from 2:30 until about 8-8:30 today.... but i will get all PMs and posts from that time. just so y'all don't think i'm ignoring you!
