The Salty Griffin Club and Bar
In recent days, a new feature has arrived. It appears to be some sort of nightclub-like building, and up until just today, it's had a "Coming Soon: The Salty Griffin Club and Bar!" sign on the door. Now the sign is gone, and the door is open. From within the building, Blues music can be heard playing, and blue lighting can be seen inside around the dimly lit bar area.
Entering the building brings you to a large room decorated with pictures of famous Trisphites, a large number of tables with cushy armchairs, love seats and couches, and a live Blues band. The lighting is a soothing blue color, and there are also small votives in glass containers on all the tables. In one corner, behind a velvet rope, there's a massive stack of cardboard boxes marked "Catharsis Corner", and across the room is a pillow and blanket mountain. The bar area has a big chalkboard listing the drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and includes cocktails such as the "Salty Griffin", which seems similar to a traditional Salty Dog Margarita, and the "Broken Heart Special", a big bowl of chocolate ice cream with chocolate sprinkles, chocolate liqueur, whipped cream, and a cordial cherry on top. Similar offerings are available on the non-alcoholic side, including "Achy Breaky Heart Special", which is similar to the "Broken Heart Special", but has rainbow sprinkles, chocolate syrup instead of chocolate liqueur, and a chocolate-dipped maraschino cherry on top. The bartender looks to be the sort who is good at listening and providing advice and/or something to eat or drink that's appropriate for whatever is going on. Come, eat, drink, let off some steam, or just relax. The Salty Griffin Club and Bar is open for all! |
Oh my, a blanket mountain! *jumps into mountain*
Achy Breaky Heart Special for me, please.
I never turn down rainbow sprinkles! |
*Runs and jumps into blanket mountain* Wheeeee!!
*wanders in, takes a moment to take in the interior, then walks over to the pillow and blanket mountain and falls backward onto it*
Ugh. |
You and Lilith complement each other xD
Catharsis Corner? Is that the place where you collapse after you had too much liquor?
Either way, Broken Heart Special for me please. |
Catharsis is where you go to cleanse your soul!
...and what if we like our souls dark 'n dirty? *evil grin*
-Black fox with white tips and a rainbow mane runs in, gets on his hind legs, with his front on the bar-counter- Achy Breaky Heart Special for me pleeeeeease! I love rainbows!
-wanders in and sits at the bar-
It's a cleanse of bad feelings, like sadness and anger. Unless you like those xD
/stares at rainbow mane |
Anger can sometimes motivate me to try harder. But yep, I acknowledge the corner's usefulness *nods*
Now let's see, what to drink... |
The boxes are there for people who wanna go all Kylo Ren and let off some steam without hurting themselves or anyone else.
Another drink, bartender, won't you be more tender, give me two shots of whiskey and a beer chaser!
Oh, really? Sweet! *grabs lightsaber and goes berserk on a box*
Now I need a drink to compliment havoc. ... Orange juice, please! |
You're scaring me, bro! *hiccup*
*Dives under blanket tower and starts filming Drunk Light Saber Wars*
*sips at a Shirley Temple and watches the box destruction*
/scared but nowhere to run
*burrows into the blanket tower with Potironette for safety and watches the destruction*
Hey. I want a copy of that video... Lol |
Don't worry, it's going straight up to youtube.
Box destruction is one of my preferred methods for catharsis. When I worked at a fabric shop as the back room stocker, my favorite part of the day was destroying the boxes our shipments would arrive in, because I could stomp the ever-loving hell outta them. SOOOO satisfying. plus getting to tear into the boxes in the first place. :3
What about bubble wrap?
I love bubble wrap popping! But I'd want to be more destructive for catharsis xD!
Sometimes the bubble wrap bubbles just won't pop too D: |
-plops down for a drankkk-

Bubble wrap rocks for relaxing and meditation in my opinion, but sometimes you just need a chance to be more aggressive. What I love to do in winter is stomp on every frozen puddle I encounter until the ice cracks.
I don't think I've ever seen a frozen puddle before, that sounds like fun :o
It is! I'm a real winter person anyway, and such pastimes make the season even better ^^
Ahh winter. I like snow but don't like being cold. It's a real problem D:

I love winter ^^
Winter is fine until New Year's Day. Then it can go away. I can't wait for spring! I'm going to plant Hostas around the porches.
I like spring and fall better, at least for now. Where I live, we get four seasons. Spring, Swamp, Fall, "WHY DOES THE AIR HURT MY FACE?!".
Does it get pretty hot there? I need to save for an air conditioner.
Lol Den x'D!
I like late spring the best! |
I like Winter, but it never gets really cold. Like, we'd never have frozen puddles xDD
Nice one, Den XD that's pretty much how I'd describe summer as well, even though I'm sure it's much colder here than compared to your place.
Early fall looks nice too, when all the leaves turn red and golden, and there's still sun yet no temperature resembling Satan's sauna anymore. |

Satan's sauna lol During the summer here it can reach 100-120° Fahrenheit ugh.... |
