The Blanket Nest (A Hangout for All)
 

*Have a Den who is dragging pillows and blankets around, making cozy nests for the visitors she's anticipating*

Okay! I think that's all the seating sorted out... But now I need to get food and drinks taken care of...

2. Don't take the blankets or pillows from the nests just yet.

*brings bean wagashi*

*drags in a giant bean bag and six more fluffy blankets*

*grins and goes to start on making drinks, including Switchel*

*carefully sets out the beautiful fancy wagashi, and then starts setting out hard candy sushi!*

I was at a friend/ business associates place on sunday and he had me try a garlic dill cream cheese spread on a triscuit topped with fresh sliced fig.
TWAS AMAZING.

I. . . don't think I'd like that.

Yeah, but she'll start barking, and then maybe try to nip!

I couldn't have the triscuit, but the rest is making me drool. The only thing that'd make it taste better is if it were goat cheese instead of cream. XD

He placed bacon on it later in the afternoon but I never got to try that. supposedly the perfect mix of rich and crunchy and sweet and salty.
I actually haven't really had goat cheese that I am aware of

I like goat cheese, but my favorite is simple mozzarella

I make a mean cheesecake…. I actually may forgo cupcakes one movie night and make a cheesecake.

But those are really difficult to make right and I don't wanna mess them up. Also I don't want to use my silicon baking cups to make them.

I've always wanted to try silicone baking.
I'm still using a plain springform pan for mine, with foil because I HATE cleaning up the mess cheesecake can make

I have silicon cupcake liners, but I use a springform pan for regular Cheesecake. Also Nuttella Chocolate cheesecake.

My favorite is Caramel Rum (using rum flavoring not real rum)

Are the cupcake liners worth it?

Eh I use it to make cake balls or a dipped cupcake or chocolate liners… so not really but that is because I am afraid to use them for actual cupcakes because my friends may throw them away.

Cheese is good food. My favourite is the goat cheese because I grew up with homemade goat cheese.

*looks up, and then gently pokes a Lawtan foot*

Goat cheese has a lovely tart, almost chalky flavor, but it can also be really creamy at the same time. It's especially good with tomato slices, basil leaves, and a drizzle of basalmic vinegar on some kind of bland cracker.

Also screaming good with figs.

Speaking of pillows, I'm very picky about my pillows.
I like them flat and close to the ground. Floofy pillows give me neck aches!
