Did you know that Kinder Surprise eggs are banned in the US, but not for the reason people think?

What is the reason people think? And what's the actual reason?

People think it's due to safety reasons. The real reason is that back in 1938, Mars Candy Company pushed a law through that bans the sort of candy that Kinder Surprise eggs are, to "Make a more fair market", but really it's a non-competition law. Nestle got sued when they tried introducing a similar candy in the US back in the late 1990s.

Kinder eggs came from those mean ol Germans, you know!

I like chocolate and I like silly toys, so kinder eggs seem great. :D

I would give it a 6 or 7. It's a nice, pleasing number, quite acceptable, but not the best.

I'd say 4, because it looks like it's in the middle of 10, but it's only half. And on a scale of 1 to 10, a 5 generally gives the impression about being neutral about something, but 6 should be able to take 5's place too.

Since 5 is one of the numbers of completion, I give it a 9.

Well, I like 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7...but 5 gets a 4 on my scale. Always would make a train or a house out of it. XD

I was not aware non-competition laws were still a thing...and people complain that there aren't laws in place to support businesses (they're just not in place to support small fry...and back to fish again)

Did you know that Oreos are actually a knockoff of a little known cookie called Hydrox. Oreo was launched in 1912 as an imitation of Hydrox. Hydrox was actually started in 1908. Though they aren't super well known, you can still buy them.

Some grocery stores carry them. I think I saw Hydrox at Publix, but I don't normally buy that sort of cookie, so I might be remembering wrong.

As far as where to buy them, I don't know. I've never seen them in a store. I have seen where you can buy them online though.
