I'm a frightened cinnamon roll
I was taking a bath when I discovered a spider in the bath with me
I am frightened and in a ball and crying and why |
No oh no poor cinnamon roll! come cuddle on this plate of icing, spiders don't like sugar so you'll be safe ;D
I had to drown it and flush it down the drain T-T
I'm a terrible personnnn |
At least you got it before it got you, crawling in your mouth while you sleep:f-eyespin:
WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT
Because I say the same thing to my husband all the time XD
He has a conflicted hatred between moths and spiders. spiders ill the moths but he still hates spiders. I like spiders because they kill earwigs =P |
I like moths, and am *okay* with most other bugs. I can trace my fear of spiders back to a very specific trail of pranks played by my older siblings
That sounds quite terrible =(
...me I hate ants and hornets. The latter I have an allergy to. The former comes from fire ants and Argentine ants, both of which have a very good chance to attack/swarm...and as I can't see well, it is sort of like what trypophobia is for others. (I am okay with still images, but they move constantly)
Oh no :( I implore you to never read a story called the ant king
I did not appreciate that story one bit.
D: I said to never read it! I implored you to never read it. No one ever listens to me D:
I'm half considering saving it and printing out to read to my children when I'm a sick and twisted parent.
I'm guessing the spider just wanted to say hello; it had no idea it would scare you so badly.

You put a lot of thought into that Lawtan xD
And maybe Espy! I think the spider just accidentally fell in and then drowned though |
Depends on the spider. It could have been saying, "Ack! Humans!"
Spiders are creepy. I don't mind them when they're outside, WHERE THEY FLIPPING BELONG. But if they come into the house, and are within striking range, they forfeit their lives. usually via kleenex, and on occasion via shoe.
We've gotten some large recluses in the past few years recently.
XD this just makes me think of all the spiders around my house. There was a large yellow and black one outside and my roommate said she found a Black Widow behind the washer machine. I am okay with moths. They don't do much harm. My coworkers and I have a theory that each time we find glitter around the store where I work, its just the moths paying rent.
we mainly get these little translucent brownish yellow spiders, and ones that look like baby wolf spiders...
Daddy Long Legs?
I love daddy long legs their my best friends =3
I see this thread has been living without me xD
Once I had moved out of my childhood home and off to college, my neighbors found a nest of black widows in the alcove I used to take a nap in. That was fun. |
And speaking of spiders! SparX, your avi is giving me a frighten D:
Lol They were keeping your spot warm for you.
My beef isn't with spiders so much as it is other pest that live in houses. Waterbugs and the like. Especially Ants. |
It's every pet I have lol and I would include them as a pet XD I've handled my friends tarantulas they aren't bad just hairy XD
But yeah earwigs aren't my shit. |
:O What is so bad about Earwigs? Why you gotta hate on da 'wigs YO! They seem relatively harmless to a lot of bugs.

Additionally, I've learned that many spiders taste things with their feet, and find us to taste absolutely awful. For keeping spiders away, however, I will recommend an alcohol suspension of peppermint, clove, cedar wood and cinnamon, sprayed (like from a spritz bottle) into any places you don't want them. On the same note, for the person who hates ants, I can suggest putting fresh, ground cinnamon at typical insect entry-points for your home. |

It was more then horrific. And they can fly. And their wings are in the shape of a human ear, but that isn't where their name is derived from either. The modern word “earwig” comes from an Old English term, earwicga, a compound of words for ear and an insect of some sort. An etymology note in The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language (5th ed.) says wicga, the second part of the Old English word, is a member of the same family of words that has given us “wiggle” and “wag.” I know they don't crawl in ears (at least not anymore then other bugs like beetles, roaches, and spiders) but it is the kind of thing that I see one and instantly scream and run away or out the house until someone else deals with it. |

@Lawton: Those aren't the big ones are they? Because we have a range from big Red and Black ones to small red/black ones.
I think we have the normal ones? At least I have not been bitten by an ant and they don't seem to want anything other than to crawl and eat crumbs.
