Crackpot Plans to Make Newbies Addicted to Trisphee
 

Real talk here.

How do we make people addicted to stay and post here? We sell them an equivalent to drugs. Something that people can't get enough of and will constantly buy to get their next "fix."

I'm talking about pixeled kittens. Small kittens, fluffy kittens, kittens coming out the ceiling, angry kittens, yawning kittens, we make everyone addicted to kittens. But with a twist, the kittens age, and when they get too old they become ugly, fat, and too lazy to even bat around a ball of yarn. That makes people want younger kittens to get their cuteness fix.

What do you guys think? Or does someone think they have a better idea then kittens. (Pfft doubt it.)

My girlfriend plays some kind of phone game where she attracts cats to her yard with catfood and sushi, and takes pictures of them...

Hold up. Yes, we have kittens. But the key part of Illu's plan was the kittens growing old and fat. We don't have a timer on the kittens that makes them old and fat. We just hand out the kittens all willy-nilly, and they never expire. That doesn't make people want to come back to get more, new, adorable kittens. That's the most important part! Coda, Toho, you need to set up cat timers so that the kittens explode if the users don't log in every day.

I'll get on it. Give me a couple months!

As a Newbie, I would like to suggest a few ideas.
First, there is always room for more cats, on the internet at least.
Second, it's already pretty fun earning random stuff for posting I think that's a nice touch =)
The games under construction though. What about a basic game (like the ones found in your start menu) of like Solitaire or Mahjong, using Trisphee characters on the cards? And earning small bits from the games. Assuming Avalanche was an event game, since I can't earn snowflakes, making it possible to still earn regular coins? Unless that would effect the Trisphee economy negatively.

But in all honesty, having such a wonderful and welcoming community is the best thing you can do and you're already doing it =)

...See, in order for that to work, you'd need to formulate a hypothesis based on prior observation, randomly choose kittens from a population, then actually write down that hypothesis plus your experimentation procedures, and then set up control and variable groups, before doing the exploding.

And after the exploding, you'd have to document the results for each group and write down whether the results followed your hypothesis, and why they did or didn't.

Nah, even with just providing the kittens, you'd have to make sure that you're sampling the correct and large-enough population, and you'd have to devise some mechanism of picking the kittens so that they're randomly chosen.

Nope, because you're taking in the kittens that are closest in proximity to you.

Nope, that's a distinctly biased population. They're likely to have a lot of traits in common.

Allow me to tell you my hypothesis, cute kittens will attract people to the site, but then neglecting posting and spending time on the site makes your kittens neglected and explode. Forcing users to spend even more time on the site to keep their kittens cute and not explodey. But kittens still age and explode after a long period of time, but if a kitten is raised right that kitten that explodes will explode a liter of other cute kittens!
