~Marshmallow Manor~ Come in for Cocoa!

Decided to make a thread to chat in the event forum, may have contests eventually not sure yet. feel free to drop in for a chat and some hot cocoa, with marshmallows of course! :p-cute:

Monorea 12-23-2015 11:07 AM

And cinnamon sticks i hope?

Tohopekaliga 12-23-2015 02:20 PM

An entire manor made of marshmallows? Sounds soft and delicious!

Monorea 12-23-2015 03:01 PM

It sounds pretty ill planed to me tho.

Tohopekaliga 12-23-2015 04:01 PM

Will probably get into a sticky situation pretty quick, all told.

Monorea 12-23-2015 04:05 PM

Yeah especially if there is heat involved. Wait a minute is that a fireplace........

Fulkth 12-23-2015 07:46 PM

I came in for some hot cocoa! I was going to buy some at the store today for $1, but I forgot. ;_;

daikokunyo 12-24-2015 01:39 AM

I like to call it 'Hot Chocolate' because I'm chocosexual

Monorea 12-24-2015 04:53 AM

Well there can also sometimes be a different in the recipe between hot chocolate and hot cocoa.

daikokunyo 12-24-2015 06:45 AM

True.

I always think 'Confabulations' sounds like a way of saying 'Fab!' and 'Congratulations' at the same time. It doesn't sound like just a discussion.

Monorea 12-24-2015 08:01 AM

Well it sounds like the two words yes but it doesnt feel like something you would say when talking about fabulousness or congratulations.
Anyways googled the world and learned something new.
Memory disturbances, those are pretty common aren't they?

Tohopekaliga 12-24-2015 10:23 AM

I've got this variety pack of hot chocolate mixes. French Vanilla, Dark Chocolate, Caramel...All quite tasty. :D

Monorea 12-24-2015 10:50 AM

I don't like mixes like that whenever i can i prefer making stuff from scratch.
Especially the whipped cream and marshmallows.
Well the marshmallows dont always turn out better but it still is fun to have homemade ones.

Tiva 12-24-2015 11:48 AM

I have done mixes but unless it is a super good mix I prefer making it.

Herseys give you the recipe right on the box, and it is super easy.

Monorea 12-24-2015 12:05 PM

Cool, share with the community maybe?

Tiva 12-24-2015 02:30 PM

Hersey's cocoa ¼ cup
Sugar ½ cup
Pinch of salt

Stir the dry ingredients together in a large pot then add ⅓ a cup of hot water
Turn the mixture on medium high heat and stir until it starts to boil
Add in 4 cups of milk and reduce heat to a simmer
Stir some more and add in a teaspoon of vanilla extract
Wait for the mixture to heat up and divide out
Make 4 servings (or 3 in my house with big cups)

Personally I have added in peppermint extract in place of vanilla, it was good
Have added in chocolate chips (Unneeded)
Opted out of water and used Rum Chata instead (makes it take good but cooks out my alcohol)
Used a half milk half cream mix to make it richer
Used a half milk half creamy booze to make it boozy

Monorea 12-24-2015 02:34 PM

Sounds very nice, thank you for sharing Tiva ^^

daikokunyo 12-25-2015 12:02 AM

It sounds lovely to have when it's cold/snowy out because not only is it hot, the booze warms you up, AND it's chocolatey <3

Potironette 12-25-2015 12:06 AM

*Grabs marshmallows to nom on but leaves the hot cocoa*
I don't like hot cocoa, because I don't like hot milk. But cocoa marshmallows are really tasty--tastier than s'mores marshmallows.

daikokunyo 12-25-2015 12:13 AM

I've only ever tasted them in their defualt fluffy, pure state o3o
How'd you rate those compared with cocoa and s'more ones?

Monorea 12-25-2015 05:23 AM

Well there are hot cocoa that don't use milk in it so if milk is the problem just don't have it.

daikokunyo 12-26-2015 05:53 AM

Good for me, I'm not lactose intolerant but I have IBS and must stave off milk and its products.

Monorea 12-26-2015 05:59 AM

I avoid milk because it makes me produce too much mucus but cheese i love.
<3 Cheese <3 aged cheese doesn't have lactose btw

daikokunyo 12-26-2015 08:51 AM

Not lactose intolerant, I need the fat removed. So I can have buttermilk.

But not toned milk. I don't really get it.

I love cheese too! When people ask me my favourite taste I say 'kamma' in telugu because there isn't a word for the taste in English. Mebbe bc we have more food items with that taste like dosa and stuff. Like pancakes minus the sweetness.

If I say 'cheesy' that's not accurate bc cheese is kamma but dosa isn't. Kind of like how you can't call cake 'sugary' even though it has sugar.

Monorea 12-26-2015 09:18 AM

Yeah no idea what you are saying, i only know different kinds of cheeses not how to classify it by taste.

daikokunyo 12-26-2015 09:21 AM

Mmm but what taste can you even use to describe cheese from 'sweet, salty, sour, spicy'? Maybe slightly salty but that's just one aspect

Monorea 12-26-2015 09:31 AM

Texture is almost aspect than taste sometimes.
There is also nutty, creamy, smoky and then there is of course smell.
Danish cheese is the emperor of smelly cheese, it taste good but can ruin your whole fridge.

Fulkth 12-26-2015 05:00 PM

Wow, I've never made homemade hot chocolate before!

I told my husband to go buy hot chocolate at the store.
(so that I could give it to my family for Christmas)

Shopping List: Hot chocolate. $1

Monorea 12-26-2015 05:03 PM

So you were very disappointed in him?

Fulkth 12-27-2015 05:52 AM

It wasn't what I was expecting, but I got over it.

It's not like he can read my mind.

Monorea 12-27-2015 05:58 AM

I wonder how the world would be if we could read each others minds?

Fulkth 12-27-2015 06:55 AM

It would be nice if you could send others mental pictures of what you are thinking. But only if the other person wants them. xD

Monorea 12-27-2015 10:19 AM

Yeah unrestricted thoughts could be dangerous or disastrous, people just arent good at restraining their own minds.
But i meant more like would the world be a better or worse place kind of thing.

Fulkth 12-27-2015 11:53 AM

Obviously better since we get to be more lazy. XD

Monorea 12-27-2015 11:55 AM

So whats that rainbow road you are standing on?

Fulkth 12-27-2015 11:57 AM

It's called heimdall's guard. It cost me 5k which is affordable. XD

Monorea 12-27-2015 12:05 PM

Well currently 12k of my aurum is bound up in my offer to pantzer in her shop but as always im working on earning more but currently it's just 1.7k aurum that is free to use on anything.

Tiva 12-30-2015 01:57 PM

I love Heim, mostly for the clouds, you see me use them all of the time in backgrounds.

Monorea 12-30-2015 02:04 PM

Yeah it looks quite fancy, i also love your starry sky ^^

Tiva 12-30-2015 02:09 PM

That is a lot of items to make the sky, but there are some items with pre made starry skies.
