Presents

It is almost time to get to open presents! (if you celebrate the present opening day)

I AM SO EXCITED >3>

It is my first holiday away from home so I am a bit nervous but everyone mailed me stuff. So far I have caved and opened one present and it was a jacket that is too big for me XD

I also opened a present from Dolly since she said I could bwahaha o3o

WHat are you guys hoping for??

Rainbowfox Ari 12-23-2015 12:22 AM

I'm hoping that my parents like what I got them. >>

Quiet Man Cometh 12-23-2015 12:28 AM

I got some presents and a stocking early since I'm flying south tomorrow to visit my mother's family for Christmas. My chocolate store have been refilled, I got the yearly set of pajamas and socks, and some of my sister's home-made soap. :). We're all being pretty low key this year but it's nice to have stuff to open. Some friends sent me Christmas cards as well.

Same here! xD I've been stressing about buying presents for months since I'm short on cash. Hopefully everyone likes their gifts, even if they're kind of cheap-o!

I'm expecting a set of those as well! =D I never have to buy new jammies thanks to my family.

Den 12-23-2015 04:10 AM

honestly, I'll be surprised if I get anything from the 'Rents. We had "Christmas" at Thanksgiving because the sibling was in town.

I also don't really expect much when I go to see my boyfriend at the end of the month, but I honestly don't care. I'm more excited by the prospect of seeing him again.

daikokunyo 12-23-2015 06:38 AM

Nope. No presents.

But I mean, we celebrate so many festivals, minus of one that wasn't even ours to begin with isn't bad.

Awen Moonshine 12-23-2015 06:58 AM

This year I don't think I have much in the way of presents, nor could I give as many as I would have liked. I'd be happy with an iron and ironing board, although I'd love a mannequin or 2 to help with my sewing, but they are super expensive. My little one on the other hand has a mountain of presents from my mum and even more from my nan. I just hope everyone likes their presents from us this year. And that the waistcoat I made my brother fits him (he's such a skinny little thing)

Nightmare 12-23-2015 09:04 AM

I wish I had a job to repay my boyfriend because he's helped me out a ton
this year, and then he goes on to tell me he got me a decent amount of gifts,
too. @_ @ Being dirt poor sucks right now.

But there's this one gift sitting on his desk in a bag, and it's wrapped in
the bag, too. It looks like it's the size of a jewelry box so... I've been
super curious about it because he's had it since Thanksgiving.

Monorea 12-23-2015 10:30 AM

Most of the things i am hoping for are to expensive for someone to just give to me (like a new comp) But maybe some good books would be nice? Both cooking books and fantasy books are fine. Also i do like getting games and i have gotten one and that is why i havent been on much the last 24 hours.

Glitch 12-23-2015 03:55 PM

I just am hoping for some rent money xD

But all of my packages are clothes, I can tell!

Monorea 12-23-2015 03:58 PM

Well maybe money is hidden inside?

Glitch 12-23-2015 04:24 PM

Haha it's alright, I have reached the stage of life were clothes and towels make me happy xD

Monorea 12-23-2015 04:27 PM

I know there are money hidden inside some of my soft gifts, someone let it slip.
But yeah clothes are good.

Ginger 12-23-2015 05:37 PM

I never expect any presents from anyone. My fiance got me a Princess Mononoke hoodie that I tagged him in on Facebook and it's super cute! I asked my mom for laundry detergent and a mop and bucket. I'm not much into the holidays.

Monorea 12-23-2015 05:42 PM

Well when do you let loose, eat more fancy and invite more people to keep you company?

Ginger 12-23-2015 05:47 PM

I actually bought my fiance and myself Nintendo 3DS XL's for Christmas so that we can play Pokemon together haha. It's no fun by yourself. Plus I indulged on black Friday for things we needed around the house. And I got into a car accident last month. Someone merged into my lane but I was right there and they pinned me against the curb as they were turning into a parking lot. That was a lovely experience. I'm still without my car after a month. The guy who hit me was found to be 100% at fault with both of our insurance companies, so now I can get a rental vehicle and his insurance will reimburse me.

Monorea 12-23-2015 05:56 PM

Well i hope you get your car back soon and have fun with your 3DS, play lots of Zelda and Mario not just pokemon!

Ginger 12-23-2015 07:12 PM

You just reminded me to update the wishlist I have for myself haha. Things I save up for and buy on my own ^_^

Monorea 12-23-2015 07:17 PM

What do you intend to put on your wishlist?

Fulkth 12-23-2015 07:22 PM

Gift giving is really random in my family. Sometimes I get presents and sometimes I don't. O.O

Monorea 12-23-2015 07:26 PM

Well my mom always give me gifts but the rest of the family members don't care as much. Except for mom they always give her gifts on special days.

Fulkth 12-23-2015 07:31 PM

It's because my family is so big! It would be expensive to give everyone gifts! I'm just giving everyone homemade cookies and that's it. xD

Monorea 12-23-2015 07:36 PM

Well home made gifts is pretty cheap and yeah i also tend to give away cookies.
Easy to make and people do appreciate it.

Fulkth 12-23-2015 07:54 PM

My mom doesn't need any more cookies though...she eats too many cookies as it is...

Monorea 12-23-2015 08:06 PM

Give her healthier recipes?
Coconut fat(oil?) for an example goes straight trough your systems so cakes and desserts made with it tends to be less fattening i think? There are many other things one can try too?

Fulkth 12-23-2015 08:15 PM

Wow, that's so cool! I need to eat more coconut oil too! XD

Tiva 12-23-2015 08:57 PM

I am excited for it, mostly because I have been waiting since October to give my Mom this gift.

Den 12-24-2015 01:32 AM

We don't have any presents under the tree currently, but that might change.

It's just random stuff. It could be anything. Leggings, a pair of boots, some cash to spend on online games like Trisphee. I'm VERY budget-minded. I have to be with my wage, if I want a savings. I don't spend much money on just things. I like to keep a light load. I had to fight with myself to buy a brand new $6 shirt the other day, because I mainly stick with used clothes. And because I think to myself: "I could have actually gotten two or three cute shirts with $6 and not just one."

Fulkth 12-27-2015 06:59 AM

I wanted make-up, but maybe it's a good thing that I didn't because the reviews were bad. I got towels, a pink polka dotted scarf, pink hoodie, and a night gown.

Monorea 12-27-2015 10:17 AM

My earphones broke the day before we got our presents so i hadn't time to wish for a new set :(

presents! Here's what I got for Christmas. :D

Glitch 12-27-2015 10:33 PM

I got . . . clothes.

Monorea 12-28-2015 04:13 AM

Yeah clothes is the most common gift because all people use it

@AC that tokaido box looks cool also is that a notebook or a calendar?

daikokunyo 12-28-2015 05:46 AM

Oooh I love jp goodies, are you a fellow Otaku Claire? <3
I should maybe be a bit milder shade of Fujoshi though lol
If I could get stuff from Japan it'd be lots of lolita wear (Gothic Lolita!) and BJDs (bishie boy BJDs!) and manga <3

Fulkth 12-28-2015 11:35 AM

I gave clothes as presents too!

My niece got clothes. She's only 4, but she loves getting new clothes! Especially pretty dresses!

I don't think I should give my little brother clothes anymore. My mom and sister buy him too much as it is.

One year, my sister gave my brother clothes for Christmas. He cried and said, You're just like mom!

But seriously, my brother doesn't need any more toys. A whole corner of the living room is full of toys. Dolls, stuffed animals, etc.

Plus, he's in 3rd grade. Shouldn't he be outgrowing the toy phase already?

Monorea 12-28-2015 11:40 AM

Get him his own steam account and buy games for him.

it's a traveler's notebook; it's a cover with removable page inserts. The inserts I have right now are lined pages, calendar, and blank pages.

Monorea 12-28-2015 04:14 PM

Cool that would be useful to have, do you have a nice pen to go with that?

Tas 12-28-2015 04:20 PM

yeah, I have a few nice pens! :3
