♥ AC's Lovely Teahouse ♥
Ana Claire's <3 Lovely Teahouse http://i68.tinypic.com/2e37lnk.jpg welcome, friends, to my lovely teahouse! Come in, sit down, take a load off. Let me pour you a fresh cup, it's always hot! Don't like tea? Prefer coffee? Too bad! I only serve tea here, but feel free to hang around anyway, maybe have a few sweets. X3 |
Lovely Bulletin Board
This is the Lovely Bulletin Board! <3 * there is a pink sticky note on the bulletin board: I will update this board regularly with...whatever I feel like! I'll take suggestions too, so if anybody wants to put anything up on the bulletin board...just ask! :> ~ AC* a business card is stapled to the board: green tea and poetry! Updated sometimes! Read while you sip your lovely tea! (Click me!!!)* a mysterious note is printed on holographic paper: Curious about the f u t u r e ? Want to know if you're in store for some good luck? The cards know your fate—have your fortune told through tarot reading, for the small price of any small trinket. Just ask your server about Gladys the Eye.* a small plastic box is full of index cards, it says "Mystie's recipes! Take one!": |
Do you serve rooibos (red tea)?
|
yay, a customer!
yes, yes! I have...a spiced rooibos, with cinnamon, ginger, and clove. I also have the seasonal special, a cranberry vanilla rooibos, just perfect for the holidays! here, here, have some shortbread while I heat up the water! :D |
The seasonal special sounds lovely, vanilla is so relaxing.
Don't you have something more interesting than shortbread tho? |
oh! Yes, my apologies. Cake pops? Brownies? Scone? Madeleines?
*sets a cup and saucer on your table, pours steaming tea into the cup, and then places the teapot on a doily* enjoy, dearie! :3 *curtsies* |
Scones are the way to go when you have tea.
I love raisin scones. Or normal scones with aged cheese and marmalade. For an example cherry and star anise marmalade, yum. |
mm, star anise! I'll fetch some right away.
*shuffles into the kitchen... ...returns with some scones, cheese, and a jar of marmalade* here you go! Let me know if I can get you anything else. :> |
When i was on gaia i was in a casual roleplay were i was the kitchen manager (and mad scientist)
Those were fun days. Sigh........ Always thought of a daily special and stuff. |
haha, having a mad scientist in the kitchen sounds like a bad idea! X3
so what happened to those days??? |
Well it was there to advertise for the 11th? Annual user run ball so when the ball had come and gone only me and another person still managed it (event tho we couldnt edit the first posts) then came the market crash and i left gaia completely. And no i wasn't a mad scientist in the kitchen, i was one of the people that had to drive the plot most often so to attract attention i had to be a pretty interesting character.
|
oh, I see. Well, that's too bad about that then. At least you had fun when you did!
*gestures towards the tea* mind if I join you? |
Go ahead ^^ Always nicer with some company.
|
I agree!
*sits down and pours herself a cup* ahhhh. I should probably get some sleep soon actually, it's getting pretty late here. x___x edit: well, thanks for chatting with me. I hope to chat again soon. It's nearly four in the morning now so I'm gonna...sleep. *flops over the counter and curls up under the bar to sleep* -_____- *zzz* |
Interesting sleeping place, don't you have a 2nd floor?
|
*stretches, yawns*
second floor. . . ? You mean the studio? Yeah, but I rent that out. Teahouse doesn't pay all the bills, ya know? Gladys the Eye lives up there right now, and she scares me, so I just stay down here. o.o |
Does she have only one eye?
|
no, she has two. She's just creepy.
|
Creepy in what ways?
And i do hope you don't get neck or back problems by sleeping in such a place ^^ |
she's just...creepy! She's a fortune teller, I think? She has an advertisement on the bulletin board, I'm supposed to fetch her if anybody wants a tarot reading.
|
Never had a tarot reading turn out right so meh
And don't accuse people of being creepy without knowing them well enough to say why, thats just rude. |
Ah, so "the eye" is talking about that "third eye" mumbo-jumbo, right? :D

ah! Where are my manners? Can I get anyone some tea? |
Some Caramel tea today maybe? and some sort of filled bread?
|
Caramel tea? o.O;; What's that?
|
hello, hello! New customer! *pirouette*
I'll be right with you! Mystie, I have a caramel apple red tea. Does that sound good? Espy! Can I get you anything? |
I could go for some earl grey about now.
|
I could do with something caffeinated, urk.
Also, someone should stop me from polishing off this entire pack of strawberry wafers. |

Sure that sounds nice
Would you be interested in me sharing some of my recipes with you in here? |
I have an IRL tendency to chug Earl Grey.
|
I like stuff with more taste than that.
Earl grey is boring! |

*ducks into the kitchen, returns with a teapot in either hand and three teacups and saucers stacked on her head* Earl gray for Toho, earl gray for Espy, and yours will be ready soon Mystie! Can I interest anyone in some sweets? |

Excellent, thank you. :)
I actually haven't had any earl grey in a while. I've got a box full of green tea and variations of it (raspberry green tea, peach green tea, mango green tea) that I've been drinking when I feel like having tea. |
I do love green tea. Actually, green tea is my favorite. :D
*sets a teapot at Mystie's table* caramel apple! Smells sweet. :3 |
Well let start with something seasonal
Gingerbread cookies 150 cookies 2½ dl brown sugar 3/4 dl golden syrup 3/4 dl water 150g margarine 1 tablespoon cinnamon 1 tablespoon ginger 1½ teaspoon baking soda 7-8 dl flour Mix the brown sugar, golden sirup and the water in a small pot. Boil the mixture. Place the margarine in the mixture and let it melt. Let the mixture cool while stirring it. Then put in the spices, baking soda and 5-6 dl of the flour. The rest of the flour is used when shaping the dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap. Place the dough somewhere cold overnight. After that let it warm up in room temperature for a short while. Work the dough until it is easy to work with. Knead if needed the rest of the flour into the dough. Roll out the dough until it is very thin. Then take out shapes in the dough. (for an example: Hearts or Stars) Place them on baking paper or a greased baking tray. Bake them in the middle of the oven at 175 degrees Celsius for 8-10 min. Let them cool on the tray before moving them. |
ohhh, I love gingerbread! :D
do you mind if I put your recipes up on the bulletin board? o.o |
I don't mind at all, i'll post my favorite cake tomorrow!
|
mmm, cake!
sounds good! :D |
