Well you're deffo in the right place for two out of three there, and I guarantee you there are definitely some people around who also enjoy playing god I mean torture simulators er, "engaging in a life based game where entities react to the trials and challenges you put before them."

I kid of course. Although now I must share with you a story.

I worked at Gamestop for a little over 4 years, most of that time in a real backwoods redneck town. A lot of people would buy The Sims, and bring it back very quickly and say that we had sold them some foreign version that wasn't in English. I assured them that of course it was in English, and she refused to believe me. Turns out that a lot of the people buying the game could not grasp the concept of simlish being a gibberish language. Augh. It was painful.

Like I could maybe understand if it was just one person, but it was multiple people. We have someone returning a copy of The Sims at least once a month because it was 'some foreign' copy of the game, and we had to explain that Sims don't speak English, it's their own little made up language, and they would get so mad! It was so hilarious and yet depressing to witness.

These are also the same people who, when purchasing Final Fantasy 13 on Xbox 360 (The 360 version came on all three discs), they were able to squeeze all three discs in to the disc tray at the same time, then called and complained when they couldn't play. These people exist.

Sei 10-17-2015 02:17 PM

Wow... those stories are certainly something, Salone. xD

I didn't know what to either. Sadly, it's happened multiple times. Mass Effect series, most RPG's on 360. Even a few PC games. So drawing eh? Go on about that!

Sei 10-17-2015 02:27 PM

The sims is fun, but I really go through phases. Sometimes I just use it as a house-building sim. xD

I'm the exact opposite. I spend hours creating houses and neighborhoods (although whether they are any good is debatable), but my sims are quick, five minute operations. xD

I will always love the original, but right now I have to say that 4 is my favorite. The sims just seem more lively and the building process is so much easier for non-professional builders. I think once we get a few more EPs, Sims 4 will be one of the best in the series.

There's a sims 4? Man I thought 3 just came out. xD

I felt the same way, until I remembered that the Sims 3 came out...oh god.

Six years ago.

It does. I keep thinking how some things weren't that long ago and suddenly, BAM! Over half a decade ago! Then I want to cry and just feel depressed inside because, you know, wow that's like 20% of my life and it's already behind me. Scary stuff.

I believe so. Three was great, but the open world made it so resource intensive that most computers have trouble with it. Sims 4, on the other hand, does not have an open world, so that isn't even an issue.

The SPs, EPs, and such are fairly reasonably priced for the content they provide and are being released relatively rapidly. I find it hard to be bored in between releases.

That being said, yes, I think that Sims 4 is probably my favorite (nostalgia aside). *nods*
