Coco sounds wonderful, even if it was 60 degrees today.

Ginger 02-24-2014 06:54 PM

You're having a heatwave! It's 27 degrees where I'm at. Hot cocoa is very lovely right now. I added a cherry on top too, as you can see. It almost looks professionally made. I am quite proud n__n

Poggio 02-24-2014 07:31 PM

XD very nice and cute. Swirly whip cream and all?

And no I just live in the south. Winter is usually mild at best and while we did get snow this year. Spring starts around march for us so yeah no more need for hotchocolate. Its just really tasty.

katyasha 02-24-2014 08:28 PM

I love coco on cold nights I make a really good one.

Lawtan 02-24-2014 08:28 PM

*hugs* Welcome back!
...Mind if I take a swig of cocoa?

Fauxreal 02-24-2014 09:53 PM

*steals all the little pink marshmallows from the rainbow marshmallow bag*

Lucid: 02-24-2014 11:23 PM

Mmmmm, cocoa! <3 Thanks Ginger! **snugggles**

Arikana 02-25-2014 01:21 AM

Cocoa's usually too sweet for me, so would you happen to have some green tea latte instead? :o

Fauxreal 02-25-2014 01:33 AM

Have you tried a ButterBeer at Starbucks? It's a recipe you have to tell them, it's not part of the menu. But it's so tasty!

silverygit 02-25-2014 05:32 AM

lactose free coco for me, pwease? :3 thank god for lactose free milk <3

Ginger 02-25-2014 07:01 AM

Poggio - Nope, just thick whipped cream which is my favorite for hot cocoa :) I wish our spring started in March here. We only have like 3 months of summer and 2 months of swimming, depending how long it takes for the snow to melt from the mountains.

katyasha - I love it too. I've been having at least a cup a day. It's giving me a serious bootay, so I should stick with tea for a while.

Lawtan - Thanks! *hugs back* Love your little critters ~

Faux - Rainbow marshmallows are aweshum, but I love a white layer on top of a hot cup of cocoa C: I haven't tried Butterbeer at Starbucks... I will have to request it next time I go in! I love their coffee, it's just expensive and out of my budget lately.

Lucid - Stop in anytime for any drink your heart desires :) It's all free!

Ari - My cupboard is FULL of tea. I have all kinds. I'll brew you some green tea. <3

Silverygit - Yep! Got plenty of that too!

I forgot about my thread here. I got caught up with Pandora and Dragon Cave for a while. Now it is time to watch the newest Walking Dead episode with my boyfriend. It'll be nice to snuggle under a pile of blankets with him. This house is so cold. Is anyone else into the Walking Dead? And how cold is it where everyone is? I'm craving natural warmth from the sun...

Sweet! Wait is it authentic green tea or cheap mimicry cause the cheap stuff leafed a bad taste in my mouth. D:

Fauxreal 02-25-2014 03:48 PM

Ari, you might have to give them the recipe. It's not on the menu so - just so you know.

Arikana 02-25-2014 07:08 PM

o3o But I dunno the butterbeer recipe. D: I feel like such a bad Harry Potter fan now.

Ginger 02-25-2014 07:58 PM

Ari - I'm not sure honestly... lol. But it's Green Tea, if that helps? :P

Asami 02-25-2014 08:02 PM

femme gauche 02-25-2014 08:36 PM

Hullo everyone.
How goes the winter for everyone?

Lucid: 02-25-2014 09:17 PM

I don't watch The Walking Dead, but it's been warming up for me quite a bit! It was nice enough to go outside in short sleeves today! :O

Fauxreal 02-25-2014 10:15 PM

It's going to get cold here again. GAH!

Where did you get your green tea from? :o

I'm only picky cause non-authentic green tea weirds out my tongue/taste buds. >_> It's really odd how that happens.

Espy 02-25-2014 10:47 PM

So uh. If you like green tea, I think the Genmaicha from Yamamotoyama is pretty damn good. It's green tea, but with something that tastes like...slightly burnt popped rice?

Wait. Did I say something about The Walking Dead? Or are you responding to someone else... lol

@Espy Where would one find this?

That sounds awesome. Want to mail me some, Espy? :P

Espy 02-25-2014 11:39 PM

Femme -- I have no idea; I'd have to ask my mom.

Ari -- Hell no; I only have five teabags left.

Arikana 02-25-2014 11:44 PM

Aw, darn it. D:

I guess I could wander downstairs and raid my parents' supply of green tea. >_> Problem is, I'm too lazy to go downstairs plus I need to finish some assignments first.

Well it sounds rather fancy and difficult to acquire lol.

Lawtan 02-26-2014 01:06 AM

...could someone send a link of different kinds of Tea to my Library? :3

Quiet Man Cometh 02-26-2014 01:22 AM

Espy: that's the same tea that I have. It's tasty.

It is the opinion of my sister and I that any green tea that is not at least half covered in Asian writing on the package tastes hideous. That's perhaps stereotyping, I know, but we've yet to encounter good green tea from one of the usual supermarket brands. Twinnings is ick, Stash is meh, I don't know what Tetley did to theirs but I don't go near their "green teas" anymore. Everything I have comes from one of the Asian food stores around town, or a small specialty store that sells leaf tea. Yogi Tea Kombucha is good though. Fairly sweet, for green tea.

I don't think Yamamotoyama is too hard to get. Do you have any Osaka or TNT supermarkets where you are, Ari? You should find it there.

Peppermint tea in hot chocolate is pretty good too, if you aren't interested in Schnapps. ;)

femme gauche 02-26-2014 01:29 AM

Where are you that osaka supermarkets are a thing o_o.

Quiet Man Cometh 02-26-2014 01:48 AM

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Not sure if it's particular to the area here. We have a heavy Asian population here (mostly Chinese and Korean I think), so there are lots of Asian food stores around, either small family set-ups that sell produce and such, or the chains like Osaka/TNT.

femme gauche 02-26-2014 01:53 AM

I've never heard of something like that... But there is not a high asian population nearby (well, east asian... there are a lot of arabic and middle eastern people here and that's technically part of asia but...). What does TNT stand for?

Quiet Man Cometh 02-26-2014 02:01 AM

No idea. That's just what's on the sign. TNT and Osaka are the same chain.

And yeah, we have a lot of people from India and the middle east here too, particularly Iran.

Lawtan 02-26-2014 02:54 AM

...I need to revise Faux's statement...

*shhhh* You are creating more attention to the situation.

Lawtan 02-26-2014 01:04 PM

...LOUDLY AND DRAMATICALLY TRIES TO STEAL QUIET'S FLOWERS!!!

...
...
That came out incredibly, terribly, unintentionally wrong.

Poggio 02-26-2014 01:43 PM

@Ginger (XD late reply) I am not a big fan of the summer months. It gets really hot and muggy and it drives me nuts really. I like to be outside but not hot and sweaty. I can't swim so I prefer to play in the snow <3

Oh symbolism. I think I may make some tea and just watch.
