Yeah, we've heard about Gaia. And we've gotten at least a couple others from there. I was on there for a while but quit a lonngggg time ago. It just wasn't my thing. Too many people and it felt too commercial ... I like the smaller, close-knit Trisphee lots more ^^

I do too! This level of closeness is really nice, and the people on here are a lot nicer too!
Not to mention the Newb Package is way better than Gaia's. Lots of free items and lots of options with them too! And it's only gotten more commercial with time. Ever since they introduced the "Gaia Cash" thing, they've really been pushing for their users to pay for items and things, and it's thrown everything out of whack. Gaia's economy is totally inflated now, and it's next to impossible to get good items without spending real money. ; n ; 'Tis very, very sad. |
And then, of course you are prejudiced against if you don't have those "good" items or aren't rich. I was on Gaia long enough to see that happening x.x

Yup. Though, I've found that being polite and patient really pays off.
I've made tons of gold on there, but it took me a long time to do it. It's been a while since I've been at the bottom, so it'll be fun to see how I can work my way up on this site. :3 |

I still go there. I'm a Forum Assistant. But I see what everyone means, I feel the same. Cash shop items are really insane. Got to wonder why. I think it is the last hurrah before closure.

I have a generation 1 Alruna's Rose, and a Prism Butterfly Mantilla, and a ... Gothic Veil?. ... Those are the only names of expensive items I can remember @_@; I have no idea how much they would be worth at this point.

Yeah, I think this might do them in. Or at the very least, wound them terribly in terms of traffic. I mean, they advertise as "Free to Play", but then they make it so you can't do much of anything unless you buy something.
They should advertise it as a "demo" maybe. = 3 = |

I just checked my shop, and I've apparently made over 100 million gold. O.O
And that's not counting the items I have in my inventory right now. I just checked that with tektek and it's about 53 Million. :3 |

Yeah, a lot of those older items are totally expensive now, even though they might not have been when they first came out.
I think it's just the scarcity of the items in question. Not that many people have them, so the price goes up because the demand's really high. Not that the people demanding the item can really afford them. :V |
