I just looked in the event shop and I have to say... I love the event items! They're simply marvelous and I can't wait to get a few, especially that background, the Evenfall Attire and the floating lanterns!
I hope I'll be able to earn enough event currency for at least 1 set :3. EDIT: On another note, is there any way to prevent lanterns from going out? ^^; |

There isn't really, but the odds are made so you gain more than you lose for posting and the popups, honest! But yeah, it's just a random thing that happens, nothing will make it better or worse other than pure luck. |
I seem to be losing lantern more often then finding working ones... the last two lanterns I've found have made me lose instead of gain two lanterns so now I'm down to having just one...
I have to admit that this is making the event more frustrating then fun when losing the event currency happens so frequently (at least to me)... The problem with me is my time zone, there normally aren't people around when I am >.<... EDIT: I've also never gotten any lanterns for posting, but, then again, this is only my second post in the event forum ^^;. |
I haven't gotten any, either, but Coda assured me they happen, just not at 100% chance.

I got at least 3 at one point from browsing the site, sadly, the next three I found left me without any lanterns as all >.<.

Thank you for the encouragement :3. However I'd rather not ask people to donate event currency (if it tradable) or items to me, I just like earning it/them myself :).
Aside from that, when it comes to the NPC contests, the way to send them the entries is by PM-ing them, right? (I just want to be sure). |
I am pretty positive you can't go wrong PMing them, but if you're worried about them getting seen promptly, also drop a post saying you left a message! I expect we'll be a little derp about checking things.

Speaking of entries, do you think it would be possible to make a short story contest as well? Seeing as it's Halloween/Nox I think quite a few people might be in the mood to write some creepypasta type stories xD. But then again I'm more then likely wrong with my assumption ^^;. |
It's still early in the event, so we can certainly add more. I'll mention the idea of a long term story section on top of the daily poems. Unless they read it here first!

So...you'd think setting up seven alarms would work, especially if I set them to overlap so that eventually it'd go off every minute.
But no. It did go off with that frequency, but in my (probably somewhat caffeine-crash induced) comatose state, my brain didn't quite register it and woke me up halfway. So I was half asleep, with the damn alarm going off every damn minute, the awake part of me with an automated trigger finger on the snooze button punching my phone, and the asleep part of me dreaming about loud and very obnoxious things that I couldn't turn off. And I did finally wake up after an hour of this, but nearly just huddled into a corner and started sobbing. Would've done so if my roomie hadn't been here. |
