Yeah... I'm fresh from Gaia. Totally no clue what to do here, but I'm exploring. ^0^

I also am obsessing over Mumford & Sons currently. UNF. I can't begin to count how many times I've listened to their Babel album. I'm surprised it hasn't caught fire yet.

Yeah, they kinda are... but the songs are nice to play in the background while I'm reading/working. They tend to blend together. xD

I haven't gotten their most recent album yet but Sigh No More is like one of my favorite albums ever and I actually plan to get lyrics of one of the songs tattooed eventually
I couldn't listen to them for a long while though, just recently been able to again

Why couldn't you listen to them for a while? And I wish I could've bought all their albums/tour disc in one go. FYE was having this awesome sale, but even then, I couldn't afford it all. ;n;

And I just need new scenery... I had been with Gaia on and off since '03, but I'm just getting so sick of the people there. Maybe it's just me, but the topics all feel the same, no matter what. And also my ex-room mate (whom I despise incredibly) is a moderator there. ¬__¬;;;

Yeah... I know the feels. I did the same on Gaia. Those poor, poor newbies..

Way back when, Gaia used to make the newbies wear peasant clothing. Literally patched up burlap bags, more or less.

It was pretty funny.

Now it's just ugly stuffs.

I was a co owner of a charity there until I got banned... apparently I scammed someone out of an angelic sash and sold it -.-" I found out later that my ex had done it to get back at me for buying myself an angelic scarf instead of his omg hat. I wasn't happy.

he hacked my account and sold the angelic sash he had gotten on loan while I was visiting a family member in hospital.

My ex fiance introduced me to the band and we listened to them together a lot, so they were heavily associated with him...and when he dumped me, their songs took on a whooole new emotional resonance (especially Little Lion Man, wow) and they were just too fucking painful to listen to

Which really pissed me off cos I really liked them XD but it just made me too upset and sad so ~
Only recently been over him enough to be able to listen to them again. Thank god.

I joined Gaia in 2005 and I was hardcore active from then til like 2008 or thereabouts...2009ish...but my ex also made me leave the site (we'd met on it you see...) so xD; I stopped going there entirely for like 2-3 years
At any rate, it feels a lot different than when I was there, less warm and small and welcoming. I miss knowing almost everyone in a particular forum.
