17th 09-19-2010 10:53 PM

I play ToP I/II and now Fiesta...sort of. I guess I'm testing it out. xD I may get LoTRO, as well. Depends how much time I have. D:

Ashurato 09-19-2010 10:55 PM

I played Dragonica while it was in Beta, but because I don't have a reliable PC, I did not go very far into it.

MizuMahou 09-21-2010 07:32 PM

I've played Ragnarok, and Dragonica but I no longer have a windows running computer so I can't play these games and others that I have seen and have been interested. After Ragnarok, I decided to give up on computer games because it costs too much to keep my computer up to date just to be able to run many of these games smoothly. If they have a console port or interface then I'll be glade to play them.

Bafflebox 09-23-2010 05:36 AM

Guild Wars, Mabinogi, Shin Megami Tensei Online (megaten), Flyff, Lineage II, WoW, DOMO, Ragnarok Online, Final Fantasy XI, Luna, Neo Steam and RF Online. Probably some more ^_^

Dtazni 09-23-2010 02:09 PM

Final Fantasy XI.
85 White Mage, 85 Scholar, 80 Dragoon, 74 Red Mage!

Used to play WoW, Aion, Shaiya, PWI, Rohan, and Warhammer. All of those got boring real quick.

Kaoi 09-26-2010 08:04 PM

Currently i'm playing WOW and Aika ~ dunno if i should stay with Aika D:

Taiki 09-27-2010 06:59 AM

@ DK, there's a Digimon MMO? O_O

I'm actually not very big on MMOs. @_@ I've played Final Fantasy XI and zOMG (does that even count? haha).

GrnTea 09-27-2010 10:18 AM

Maplestory
Guild Wars
WoW
Cabal Online
Karos Online
Wonderking
Dungeon Fighter
Metin II
Lineage II
I tried a pokemon MMO but it was too buggy :(
Perfect World
Dragonica
Aion
Allods
Warror Epic
D&D Online
Dungeon Runners
Pretty much if you go to MMORPG.com I've played probably 75% of the games on their list. Dx
A bunch of friends I've been gaming with for a while keep jumping from MMORPG to MMORPG to MMORPG because they can't decide on one lol. Needless to say, I don't play MMORPGs anymore. I'm completely MMORPG'd out.. :(

Alchemy 09-28-2010 04:57 PM

I used to play Gaia Online's zOMG, but didn't like it too much.

Now I'm on FlyFF (Bushi, lvl 62-ish Psykeeper) and uh ... that's it ._.

Cronislee 09-28-2010 07:29 PM

I play Aion. But word is that there is another chapter in the Elder Scrolls Saga that will be an MMO. Now personally I feel this will be a terrible idea. Food for thought.

GrnTea 09-28-2010 07:53 PM

I still want a Fallout MMO. I'd kill for it. lol

Espy 09-28-2010 08:06 PM

Kitsu Saga
Fists of Fu
Divine Souls
Erebus

Cronislee 09-28-2010 08:10 PM

My thing is, the only way for a Fallout or Elder Scroll MMO to work would be to have it be the same game style & game play as they are on the regular ones. However, its the way that MMO's attract assholes that drove me away from FFXI and WoW out of sheer aggrivation.

Demonskid 10-04-2010 01:55 PM

Someone on my MSN friends list wants me to look at "Legend of Edda" and while I was looking at that I saw "Soul Master" I think I'll try them both soon :3

Taiki - Yea there is. Its called Digimon Battle or something. It kinda sucked if you ask me.. I was hoping for a Digimon game where you make your own tamer and not chose one of the anime tamers >.>,

Sushi 10-04-2010 02:27 PM

What are some really good ones? I want to get back into Mmo's but I don't know where to start again. lol

Demonskid 10-04-2010 02:48 PM

It depends on what you like and who you ask. Like me.. I am picky about the PVP/PKing, and how the characters look. I like anime style graphics.

I like DoMo, Mabinogi, Bright Shadow, and Asda.. I which I got bored of at the moment but will one day go back to.

I will be trying Soul Master and Legend of Edda soon :3

Sushi 10-04-2010 02:58 PM

I just like for any quests to be interesting, and I like lots of character customization. :3

Demonskid 10-04-2010 03:04 PM

Character customization would be in DoMo :3 and I think their quests are very interesting x3

Phoenix 10-06-2010 03:51 PM

Maplestory. Not anymore though.
I got too lazy. XD

Sushi 10-06-2010 03:53 PM

I literally just started playing Allods Online.
Looks an awful lot like Wow. Not sure how to
feel about it but it seems like a strange mix of
fantasy and scifi which is kinda cool.
Overall it sure seems interesting.

Kanobei 10-06-2010 05:37 PM

Some good news to you guys looking for MMO's.

2 Really good ones to play are Lord of the Rings Online and Aion: Assault on Balaura

I'll go ahead and review both of these for you.

--- Lord of the Rings Online ---
Pros:
+ Follows the lore of the books/movies pretty closely
+ Really amazing visuals while being able to reduce them for just about any PC that is made after 2007.
+ A neat and realistic crafting system. (You can crit on items to produce better results)
+ Huge ranges of enemies
+ Free to download AND play
+ Huge number of quests
+ Huge world to explore
+ Lots of achievements that award stat boosting traits as well as Turbine Points

Cons:
+ Classes can only fill one role pretty much.
+ Some of the features you have to pay or take a long time to earn through achievements
+ Very few instances in the beginning, though I think it expands into more
+ To be able to use the mounts or trade items/gold in game you have to purchase through the shop some Turbine Points or buy the mount skill with the points

--- Aion: Assault on Ballaura ---
Pros:
+ Amazing Visuals
+ Mini Pets just added (and they have functionality)
+ Updated consistently
+ Expansions are FREE
+ Added alot of quests in game since the opening
+ PvP oriented, but adding more PvE content as time goes by
+ Interesting story line
+ Character customization is in depth

Cons:
+ Can still get a little grindy
+ Instances don't start until 23
+ Flight time is limited
+ Crafting is really expensive

Allods, Grand Fantasia, Luna and LOTRO are all very good free mmo's as far as pay to play i'd go with Aion.. the user base is smaller then a few other pay to plays but they seem to be a bit more mature though for the last event they did have a bit of a botting problem seeing as the tokens were gained from being logged in >.<;

Yeah it is, but the problem with WoW is that it's become basically a facebook game... they are way too dramatically changing the mechanics in cataclysm where it's just not even the same game. SO i quit along with my gf, and we aren't going to go back.

The mechanics aren't THAT changed -- the difference between Wrath and Cata isn't any more significant overall than the difference between Classic and Wrath. You still have a set of abilities on a button bar that cost mana/rage/focus/etc. and have cooldowns (either global or independent). You still want basically the same gear, just with the numbers changed around a little bit. You still want to stack basically the same stats. You still have talents, you just can't mix-and-match quite the same way, and the new talents are quite a bit more interesting than the old ones.

So yeah, the WORLD is changing dramatically, but basic gameplay still works like the same game you've always been playing.

I've played the beta, it's pretty different.

You no longer have options really in your spec... and the basic stats have been changed, what was once good for your toon might no longer play a role at all in it. Seems pretty drastic to me. But the biggest change was the world, but i actually enjoyed those changes, it is pretty cool that they're doing that

the main thing im mad about in Cata is my druid is losing her tree form to be a cool down.. i liked being a target in raids "move to the tree!" hey in classic wow the resto's complained due to the fact they had no form.. after we got it why take it away D:

-Lurks in thread-

Hee hee.

Coda 10-10-2010 03:24 PM

I agree that some classes are getting really shook up; my Death Knight is finding himself with both of his specs disappearing. (I dual-wield, both as tank and as DPS, and if I want to continue to tank I'm essentially forced to go 2H now and I won't be able to play disease DW.) But that's just a bit of re-gearing, which everyone's going to be doing ANYWAY getting from level 81 to 85.

As for Tree of Life form, you still get it and you're still expected to use it; it's not being taken away from you. It's just part of Blizzard's plan to cut back on talents that grant passive bonuses and replace them with more active things. You're going to like the new Tree of Life form a lot more than the old one, I think, once you've had an opportunity to get used to it with a few serious raids; it'll be more fun to play even if it's a bit less available for RP.

Still, that's not what I call "basic mechanics" by any stretch -- as I said, overall the game still plays like the same game; they're just tuning it. These changes aren't any more dramatic than the changes that happened between the initial release and Wrath, and it's all in the name of making the game more fun to play. They're making gameplay more interesting and less punishing -- if you lag for a moment or miss a button it's not going to completely screw up your output anymore like what happened with some specs of some classes during Wrath.

Maybe it's just my experience playing Classic talking. Wrath made the game too easy to settle into hitting your buttons in order without having to pay too much attention.

Immamoonkin 10-10-2010 03:35 PM

I've been playing the beta, too, and while there are a lot of changes, it's no different than how Classic changed in Burning Crusade. I've been playing since November of 2005, and I'm actually excited over 31 talents again just like in Classic. I'm also excited about how I get some of the key items that spec has AT LEVEL 10!

I really think that's too much trying to compare WoW to a facebook app.

Coda 10-10-2010 03:56 PM

Let me know when Facebook gets an MMO with multiplayer raids. ;) I might actually bother signing in.

Rosekitten 10-10-2010 07:44 PM

i know it plays over all the same, but the user base will still be the same retards from before.. =/ 80% of the wow players i have met can't listen to simple directions in a raid.. i started playing Aion due to the fact the game is improving an listening to the users about things they dislike.. like the most recent event an the jumping botters xD

but anyway i know id still have the tree form but the forms is what made me choose a druid.. i mean i love her to death an it's tempting to go back but i'd change servers for starters .. theres no wait i could go back to Fail-trigg... i mean my druid has over 700 achievement points, 115 mounts and 116 mini pets - some being CE pets and i have the spectral tiger mount to top it off x.x i was all for achievements but when the guild we were in couldnt even finish the 10-man ICC with the super buff from the place.. i mean thats just sad how many times do you have to say don't go near others when you have the ice block D:

.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦ .· º○º·.♦.·º○º·.♦.·º○º·.

Coda 10-11-2010 12:53 PM

It can be tough to find a competent guild, especially this late in an expansion -- it should be easier to find a good guild once Cataclysm comes out because you won't be stuck with such stratified gear. Right now in Wrath, when you get to 80 wearing quest blues you're basically stuck grinding randoms until you get enough badges to start grinding heroics so you can get enough badges to... get gear that's not good enough to get you into ICC, and nobody wants to run the older raids anymore. But when Cataclysm starts, everyone will be in level 85 quest blues or, at most, Tier 11; people will be running the raids that you can actually handle.

You obviously weren't a cat druid @_@... that was some fun DPSing... sure they still have cooldowns and abilities use runes/mana/energy/focus/rage, but what game doesn't in the market really? So I can't really count that towards basic mechanics.

And i was comparing it to a facebook app in the fact that it's more like a social network rather than a game. They're even adding a friends from facebook feature... why do we need that?!
