When will shops be organized?
 

You know.. Trisphee has been around for quite sometime, and yet the shops is orderly cluttered mess. And I use those words specifically, Orderly Cluttered Mess. Items are dumped in in order and color, but because of the shops set up it's a big mess and it's hard to find something you want.
I personally think one of the biggest problems on Trisphee is the unorganized shops. A more organized shop would Attract the new members to the site, and somewhat newish/old members we currently have to spend more money in the shops because it's a lot easier to find things. That and I'm sure there are tons of items a lot of people don't know about because the shop is cluttered, and that it's a pain to go through page to page looking at every item. It's a real chore to do.

I made a quickly made box on what a new organization method could be.

We could simply have each item boxed in as one item, then by clicking the item we would get the usual avatar screen but with a box full of colors and by selecting the color you can see the shades available in the for that one color item. And then you can simply buy it.

While this is a crummy/hastily made demonstration it would still organized the shops a lot better, shortening the pages, and making it easier to shop.

Just some food for thought.

So Trisphites, how would you feel about a more organized stores?
Anything you want to add on or to contribute to make the stores more organized?
Do you think there is a lot of items hidden in the shops that you don't know about or remember?

I have to agree with you there it's really hard to figure out what you want to buy when you have page after page to sift through...

I managed to do it but it still took forever to figure it out and there's STILL items I probably haven't seen or know about! I would love this if they would organize things in an easier way!

... I normally just search teal and look through the shop for the stuff then type in the name... or for the new sets (fairytale and tea time) I just go newest to lowest. A more organized shop would be cool but it is a coding job and Coda, Semi & Toho are all busy doing stuff so it will have to wait til they can get to it...... Unless Illu wants to code it all?

Also shops could still be organized by the item just have a drop down list for color you want to buy (Basic, silver...etc) in the viewing panel that we have now it will still render the previews in the panel( For the items that come in multiple colors shades). Might be a little less work than what is seems like your drawing shows which is to have one button and have the colors and then shades rendered in the preview. Not quite sure, your thing seems to remind me of Gaia's shop system, and that could actually get Tris in trouble.

- While the search engine is a great tool... If you know what you want. Most people who go to shops don't know what they want, or have they have a faintest clue to what they.

-XD I hate coding... So no.. But I know people who can code. But this is just something that can be added to the "To Do" list.

- And that's pretty much the idea is to have a drop down list. The thing I put up was just a hastily made idea. I just threw the first organization method that came to mind. Yours sounds much better. Quite frankly any kind of organization that threw all the different colors of the same item into one item/box would improve the shops substantially.

I think condensing the item list and making it more organized is a wonderful idea. Though since we have shop keepers I think an overhaul of the entire system would have to be done to get layouts and things the way people want them. To me if organizing it means that when you click on it, you get a window like when you click to use an item in your inventory, people like me would never get to preview an item because of its massive load time.

The coders will do all of this for you, for a reasonable price of $999.99 x3

It's not that awful. I just use the search if I'm looking for a particular color or item. But I kind of know what you mean; it's a little annoying to have to go through several pages of the same item when you're just browsing. It would helpful if Tris did make the shops a little more organized, but I wouldn't be terribly distraught if they didn't either. I mean, I've seen shops that don't even have a search and are simply organized by release date with no options to change the order. That's a nightmare. ><

also, no, the search is flawed because you always have to set the gender and sometimes it auto-loads and sometimes it does not

I"m p sure the shop systems are gonna get a major full-out overhaul eventually, so items being more hidden/difficult to find will probably be addressed.

I'd just like tops/bottoms/other tabs in the shops myself

;_; golly that would be a nice feature, or have each sho coincide with a type of clothing like a shoe/top/hair shop

I'm going to just reject that design right now. I know that's how Ernya does it and that on its own is a reason for me not to want to do it.

But more importantly, I already have plans, and they're different from that. (And, I'd like to think, better.)

Unfortunately, I can't give you an estimate on when we'll have it ready. Even after I get the code written, there are ten thousand items and a hundred thousand poses that will need categorized.

Is it a bad thing that I think it sounds like fun? >_>

Love it and I was thinking about this idea too. I don't really go to the shop because it take forever to find something I like. Would be nice if you can just click on one item and then the color options pop up.

I don't know if this has been suggested, but a dropdown menu with different categories would be nice. Like you could sort by feet, bottoms, tops ,etc.

That is, indeed, the plan.
