I'm Miko, a Junior in one of the most famous girl's school in our city. Yes, it's a private school...I know what you're thinking, I'm rich. Nope. I suppose I was too smart for these people. They gave me a scholarship, gave me school allowances (provided that I keep my grades above A). A lot of these girls here are pretty. Most of them are quite witchy though, so I avoid them. I do have a few friends and that's how I like it. **** Monday 7:05am :: First day of school Miko got up slowly from her bed and remembered that it was the first day of her Junior year in the prestigious all girl's school. She looked around to check if her bag and uniform were ready, which it was so she just stepped in the shower and took a quick one. "Aw man...not today..." she said as she saw the bathroom tiles red. Period. She hated that. Finishing up the quick shower, she got dressed, and made sure that she was wearing an extra heavy flow pad to support her every move. "MOM! I'll go to school now!" She yelled out at her mom who works at home, while grabbing the pancakes from her plate and stuffing three in her mouth while she hopped in front of their home and waited for the bus. |
She'd found herself lying awake in her bed before her alarm clock was due to ring. The anticipation of the impending first day was enough to make Jun uneasy. The seemingly never ending cycle of school was beginning once again, a year worth of work beginning once again. She was quick to anticipate the shrill sound of her alarm, switching it off just before the sound leaked out into the silence of her room. Covers were pushed aside as she rose from her bed, stretching her body as she glanced about her messy room in search of her uniform. had she remembered to wash them before the first day of school? That was what she thought, and digging about her closet she found the clothes hanging properly, neatly ironed. To herself she thought of her father and that he must've been the one to hang them up, and as she went to shower and ready herself for the day she promised that she would leave a note for him before she left for school. Quickly she showered and dressed, spending enough time on her hair that it looked presentable and as if she had taken more than only a few minutes working on it before hurrying down the stairs to see a note left for her. Dear Jun, Your father made you a boxed lunch for school today. Do not forget your books before you leave, and leave a little bit early so you do not arrive late. I will not be home until late, do not forget to make dinner for your father. -Mother Jun hardly gave the note another glance before she tossed it into the trash before finding a neatly tied box with her lunch sitting upon the counter. Opening it she found smelling delicious, and looking even more delectable than that. With a smile she slipped the box into her bag before checking to made sure she had everything. With a self deserved nod she found something to eat on her way to school before departing from her house to endure the first day of her first to last year with hopes it was better than the first two. |
Another year, another day to finish. I hope I can finish this year quickly and with high grades too...I mean, that's what the Harvard University requires, yeah?
Miko thought to herself as she walked out of the school bus while tying her hair up in a pony tail. Her majestic jet black hair pulled tightly so that it won't bother her face. As she continued to walk up a few flight of stairs to the school, she noticed some glances and whispers from a few group of girls on her right side, so which she just ignored, tugged on her sling bag and walked with much confidence with herself. "Ow! What the -- " something, or someone had bumped into miko. She turned around. "Watch it!" |
The walk to school was incredibly methodical, having made the trip many times it was like second nature to the girl. So much so that her thoughts were never on travel, but on anything else which plagued her minds in the morning; Typically, it was focused on impending tests of quizzes, or her mental checklist of things she was to do at home by the end of the day. Today it had been trying to recall if they had any summer reading they had to complete, and if so had she done the reading? Her question was left unanswered as she bumped into something, and as she took a step back on the stairs she was met with another girl looking rather cross with her for the mistake. Lifting her bag higher up on her shoulder she tried to figure where she had seen the girl before if not only around the halls. Listening to the giggling of other girls around them with their typical gossip she came to realize she was the scholarship student. Jun lowered her head as she started up the stairs again while speaking in passing to the girl, "Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." |
Why do people keep bumping on me?
Miko thought to herself, when she got a good look at her face and remembered that she used to be her classmate in some classes. She just didn't bother to try and talk to her. Honestly though, Miko found her pretty cute back then...and she still does. The angered feeling was replaced with what seemed like a fluffy feeling of feathers and soft stuffed animals. She snapped out of that three-second interval and nodded, " Sorry for suddenly shouting, didn't meant to..." She then slowly inched away into the crowd and to her locker where she placed her notebooks and manuals then walked straight to her first class: Modern History. |
She found herself feeling guilty for not having stayed longer to hear what else the girl had to say, but she was not one for lingering in conversations longer than was necessary. Jun liked it that way though so she let the thoughts slip from her mind when she came to her locker, already switching out her books for her first class before heading down the hall-- this time much more warily so as not to bump into anyone else. The first class she entered was mostly full of other students as diligent as she to get there with plenty of time to spare for the first day, and as she scanned the crowd she did not eye anyone she knew very well. Settling for somewhere in the middle she found an open seat where she figured no one could bother her. Claiming the desk as her own she set down her book before she slipped her lithe frame behind the desk. Again her eyes scanned through the class and found groups of colleagues and friends grouped together to discuss their summers, while there were a couple people like her who sat stranded with no one to talk with. One of those people looked awfully familiar, and after a couple of seconds the recognition that it was the girl from the hall who'd she accidentally run into. Glancing about she saw no one was really looking at her, and slipping from her seat with books in hand she went for the seat beside the girl instead. There was a moment of hesitation while she tried to decide what to say, but eventually she bit the bullet and offered her hand. "I hope I'm not intruding by sitting here. I just wanted to apologize again for bumping into you in the hallway and introduce. My name is Jun." |
Looking out of the window, Miko had mix thoughts; she couldn't stop thinking about what she needs to do for this school year, how to keep her record going, and what she will be saying in front of her fellow students when she graduates as validectorian of the school.
That's what keeps her wondering, most smart people are popular, but it seems like she's not that popular to the people here. She did get a few greeting from the younger years and that made her quite happy. Then suddenly, the thought of that girl bumping into her just this morning popped up in her head. The girl looked so aloof and dreamy, like she was wandering aimlessly. Gosh, that girl is so cute...but I think she's too...uhm, phlegmatic for me. When she heard a voice, somewhat familiar too; turning her head, she saw the same girl she just thought about. "Uh... Hi Jun," she paused a bit, "Oh, no...you're not intruding at all. Please do sit down. I'm sorry myself...I get too jumpy at times." She smiled up at her. "My name's Miko, by the way. Glad to meet you." |
“Glad to meet you as well, Miko.” She offered the girl a soft smile before glancing away. The clock still said that the class was not to start quite yet, and the rest of the kids continued to chatter away as they all waited for the teacher to arrive. Jun felt almost impatient to begin the lesson, start the day, and at the same time she felt as though she should get to know the one sitting beside her a bit better. Uneasily she gave a laugh into the lazy strings of tension and silence which had begun to string themselves between Miko and herself. “So...Modern History, huh?” |
Miko hadn't realized that she had been blushing this whole time if she hadn't taken out her mini-mirror to look her eye into and take out a little dust out of her eye.
She felt so uneasy and uncomfortable, but in a rather good way. Must be because of this girl beside me... I just... oh dear... she thought as she pushed the mirror back into the pocket as she heard her voice. "Yep, modern history. Do you like this class? I kinda don't...I prefer ancient history much better." she responded, as she fiddled her fingers on her desk. Oh gosh, I hope she doesn't notice my blushing face... |
"I'm not much of a fan myself, of any history really. No mind for dates," she tapped the side of her head sending a single curly strand of hair out of place. "I'm more of a P.E. girl. Focus on what is going on in the moment, you know?" Taking a glance to the girl's desk she watched as the fingers bobbed up and down to drum against the polished wooden surface. To keep herself from mimicking the same pattern she folded her hands into her lap as she looked back to Miko. "What other classes do you have this year?" |
Miko stopped tapping and fiddling on her desk and flipped her notebook open, pointed at the back part of the front flap of it where her schedule is glued on, "Uhm, other than modern history, I got algebra 4, Health/P.E., Physics, Biology, and Music & Arts..." Miko realized that her burning cheeks neutralized a bit and turned to face her and asked the same thing, only this time, her voice was rather low since she noticed that their teacher glanced over to where they sit and gave her the look.

She took a glancing peek at the cover of the notebook as the girl read off her schedule, and thinking about her own she could see only one more class the two of them shared. With a curious look she watched as the girl quieted to a silence as she looked away, and following her gaze she too got the look from the teacher where they stood at the head of the class. Softly jun replied to the girl that they could discuss it later before she turned in her seat towards the teacher without feeling much shame for their mistake in talking. |
Miko covered her mouth slightly and slid lower on her seat and listened to the class until it ended. The whole while just writing down some stuff for pointers on what they're going to expect for this school year, in particular with the subject.
While she wrote down notations, she would glance at the girl beside her and would smile a bit, shyly if you may, then blush, and go back to writing. Oh shoot, she's just so cute... When the bell rang, Miko stood up and asked Jun, "What's your next class?" |
Several times throughout the class she did little more than yawn and jot down a couple of things, but anything else the teacher described was the same as it was last year, and the one before, and again before that. Five minutes from the end of the class she was already staring at the clock so as to anticipate the bell. Jun was the first one out of her seat, but before she was able to leave, Miko caught her attention again. Plucking her own printed schedule out from between her notebooks she read aloud, "Looks like I have anatomy next. I think you said that you have Health and P.E. after that, and I do too. We can talk again then," She gave the girl a small wave before tucking her schedule away. From there she departed for the science wing. |
Waving her hand back at Jun, she herself prepped her stuff. She wasn't going to Health/P.E. class though, she's headed to Algebra 4 since that's what's next on her schedule.
She kind of despised P.E., mainly because she hates being in a large crowd that do practices and sweating together. It's just hideous according to her. She walked in her algebra 4 class and in the whole one hour class, she thought about changing it to calculus since that's what she needs. Even though only seniors should get that, she wants to take the risk. After the class, she went up to their professor and asked if she could just take an advance course than algebra 4 and she was told to take some sort of exam after all her classes and see how they will go from there. Onward to P.E. she thought as she dragged herself to the girl's locker room and change in her P.E. uniform. |
Science class was the same as first period, endless papers having been run off to say the same things, and when the class let out everyone was glad for it. Jun all but hurried to the class. Passing by other less enthusiastic students heading for the same class she paid no mind their groans or casually thrown insults for her enthusiasm. By that point she would have expected everyone knew her love of sports, especially since she'd gone to school with most, if not all, of them; It was something she thought of often with the reoccurring answer that they merely did not care. and neither did she. Pulling open the door to the girl's changing room there was an apparent atmosphere of lethargy from summer vacation as the girls all changed as slowly as snails. She passed by the rows of lockers and girls all getting ready she picked one at random and claimed a locker as her own before finding her uniform and stripping to change. |
Sluggishly, Miko sat on one of the benches facing the long range of lockers. She sighed as she turned to one side and popped her spine, turning to the opposite side and popping some again.
She just let out a little groan and stood up, closed her gym locker and walked lazily to the gym to practice whatever was up for today's class. As she passed by other girls who lazily put their gym clothes on, she noticed a familiar face, Jun? She'd thought, when she confirmed that it was her, she blushed a bit and pursed her lips and slowly slouched and walked to the exit. |
The uniform still fit just as well as it had the year before, hugging her curves without being all too tight, and it made her feel all that more ready for that day's class. She led the pack of others changed and ready for class, and while everyone separated into their different cliques Jun scanned the groups for Miko. Quickly, she was potted, and migrating towards the girl she wore a smile. "Are you excited for class?" |
Jerking a bit upon hearing a familiar voice, she looked to her side and saw that it was Jun but she was unusually happy and so excited about something.
she must be happy to be in P.E. "Oh, I didn't know were classmates on this class...uuhm...I'm not really excited...I don't...uh..." she answered tensely. Miko looked around and everyone was warming up, some were being lazy and she knows she'd be lazy to do some warm ups too. What made her more tense was that Jun was there, looking all cute and her p.e. clothes hugging all her curves at the right places. "Should we go do warm ups?" |
"First period I mentioned I had this class too," she girl offered with a soft smile and a beginning stretch of her arms to either side. Jun could all but hear her joints pop as she pulled the, up and down to loosen her typically present stiffness, and when Miko asked about warm-ups she gave an agreeable shrug. "It would probably be for the best unless you want to be sore later. Here," reaching out she took either of the girl's hands in her own, "stretch your arms out, it can help if someone else helps you stretch." |
Shocked as she was touched by Jun, she blushed so brightly, but allowed Jun to touch her and move her arms.
Dear Lord...her hands are so soft... she thought as she looked at their hands cupped together. Her arms popped a bit and she smiled up at Jun, "Heh, I probably need to some exercises, don't you think?" she giggled at her, feeling more tense as ever when her eyes locked up at hers. |
"You just need to relax, gym class really isn't as bad as you seem to be making it out to be," yet again Jun's lips turned up into a smile as she let go of the girl's hands. Only barely was she about to suggest that they try to do some more stretches that she began to hear a little bit of commotion. Turning around she find the rest of the girls gathering by the door where their gym teacher was taking attendance and begin class. "Maybe we can talk more after class," she waved her arm to gesture for the other to follow her towards the class so as not to be marked late or absent. |
Miko peeked just behind Jun and saw the crowd going half-crazy while being called out, "Oh, okay, yeah...sure," she then followed Jun, she was just a few steps away from her. Miko just couldn't stop looking at her, a little smile forming on her face as the back ground image of Jun running in front of her changed to what seemed like a beach with the sun up and bright.
Miko snapped out of it when she accidentally bumped into someone who just laughed at her and said it was okay, right after miko saying sorry. "Miko Masuda-Ferguson?" called out thier gym teacher "I'm here!" retorted miko and the gym teacher continued calling out the others. |
In the fray of it all her name had been called out, and she answered and while they waited for the rest of the people to be called she turned back to Miko. "So, what is your opinion in gym class?" She questioned the girl quietly enough that they could not be heard over the other girls in the class. "Track, soccer, dodgeball?" Glancing around the room she could see all the different equipment hung on the walls and none in particular having been brought down yet. "Do you have a favorite?" |
She turned to Jun after she heard her ask something, so she had to move away for a bit to answer that question, ducking a bit from girl's flailing their hands, "To be honest with you, and of course with myself, I have not favorite..."
She slowly moved farther away and sat on one of the benches and shrugged and looked up at Jun, "I'd rather play volleyball or badminton, but it's still not a favorite thing for me to do." She shrugged again and stood up, dusts herself as the other girls slowly ebbed away from the gym class teacher. |
She could not help but feel slightly disappointed that her new friend was not as into sports as she, but in no way could Jun be surprised. Not many people, especially girls she found out, enjoyed PE, and while Miko seemed incredibly nice she clearly had no real desire or love of the class. Offering a sweet smile she offered a shrug as she flowed with the rest of the class as they seemed to dissipate into the gym. "Understandably so, but if you ever want some pointers or a bit of help just give me a holler. I'll be happy to help," offering a wink she listened to what the gym teacher yelled out to the class to determine what they would be doing for that period. |
Miko rustled in to get a little closer to Jun to try and whisper something in her ear, and when she got the right timing to do so, she moved in and whispered,
"Help me get the motivation, I might be able to work it out with gym class, I have some reasons why I don't really like it that much..." She moved away as quickly as she could when the gym teacher glanced right at their way. Widening her eyes, she blinked them after what seemed to be a few seconds then looked down and tried her best to listen now. |
Her interest was piqued when Miko turned to whisper to her, and once the moment of the teacher keeping an eye on them passed her lips turned up into a smile. Patiently Jun waited for the teacher for divvy up the class into two teams for the game they were issued to play, and as she found herself and Miko on the same team she figured it was because of luck. Walking off towards the side of the gym their team was issued, she linked arms with the girl as they walked, pulling her close so they could whisper together. "What kind of motivation are you looking for?"

Miko was a bit confused as to what they were supposed to do in this class, she found herself panting a little bit after they were divided. Luckily though, she was with Jun, the only person she's very comfortable with in that class.
When she was pulled close by Jun, Miko started to blush as bright as she thought she would have for she felt her soft bosom against her arms. Oh jeez, so soft... Miko whispered back to her, "If you don't mind giving me pointers after school, I'd love that and would start to love this class they way I used to...waaaay back." |
She kept herself alert to the game they were to play so as not to get called out for not paying attention. With her arm still intertwined she led Miko back to the wall of the gym where the other girls of their class were lining up. "Sounds fine with me, just remember that you won't learn over night and you'll have to be patient. But," she paused to unravel their arms and take up a pose.
"If you remember that we can have a lot of fun. Now, if you're ready we are playing dodge ball and it's every girl for themselves, so I'd say watch yourself." Offering a wink the teacher blew the whistle and taking off she made a mad dash like everyone else for the balls lined up in the middle of the gym. |
She watched as Jun dashed for one of the balls, the image of the cherry blossoms appeared again and Miko gave out a little sigh. She snapped out of it quickly when a ball almost hit her, she made a dodge as another ball zoomed past on the other side.
Dang it, these people are fast! It is every girl for themselves in this game. She tried her best to dodge more incoming balls and managed to smile at Jun when she dashed past her. One of the brute-looking girls threw a ball at Miko, she stepped back and caught it in her hand, causing that girl to be 'ousted' and in that moment, light shone on Miko and it dawned in her that gym could be interesting for her. hey....this is fun! |
Her focus was in on the game for the most part, eyeing the girls on the other team, watching her other team mates to see if there was a chance she could save them or get a ball to toss for her own. Overall their team was leading strong, a couple of the people not willing to play had already taken hits to sit on the side-lines while other caught some of the balls to help their own team out. As Jun reached out to catch a ball another one of the girls on the other team were struck out while a couple of their own were taken as well, but their team was leading by several.
Taking a glance behind her she could see Miko valiantly working hard to keep herself there on the team. When she turned around she saw a ball flying right for the girl, and diving out of her way to catch it she found herself hit instead. As the ball rolled to the side of where she lay on the floor she could hear the whistle of the teacher as she was called out. Standing, Jun brushed herself off and gave Miko a bit of a wink and a quite admission before she walked out of bounds. "I saved you, so you owe me one." |
Miko looked Jun with mixed emotions and a little confusion, then a ball swooped passed her and she ran to pick one up and threw that ball on the floor, making it bounce at random and it hit one of the girls on the opposite team.
What does she mean I owe here one? oooh... What is it that I have to do to pay her back?? While thinking that, she thought of really naughty things that she had to shake her head to rid it all. Damn it brain! Stop that! Then she noticed that it was only two of them in their team and two on the opposite team. Miko had to move back and forth a little bit, sway around as well so as to distract the other team. She ran for one ball, dove to get it and rolled up to her feet just in time when the other team member threw a ball at her; Miko used the ball she picked up to block that shot and hit the one who tried to hit her, while the other girl in their team hit the one on the other while she was spaced out. The Gym teacher whistled, and the game was over. |
Their half of the class burst into cheers when the whistle blew and their team was declared the winners of the game. A majority of the girls jumped up and down excitedly before moving to crowd around and compliment the two remaining girls on their job well done. Jun herself wanted to applaud Miko on her great job at the end, but as everyone else was just as excited and were gathering together and chattering excitedly in the way that girls usually did. As the crowd dissipated by the teacher's order to head off to the locker room and get changed, Jun made her way through the crowds until she found Miko, and sidling up to her and wrapped an arm around the girl's shoulders while she smiled brightly. "You did a great job, congratulations on helping win the game."

It was all a blur, when was the last time she felt this happiness? That's right, that was when she was in elementary school when everyone was just happy. Every class was great. All the girls cheering for her and the other girl had smiles on their faces and Miko felt great about that. She cheered and and laughed along with the girls and shook hands with the opposite team like good sports.
When everyone ebbed away from them, Miko felt Jun's arms and she shivered a little bit, the good one, and laughed, "Haha! Thanks, I guess. And here I thought I won't enjoy the game. However, my hips really hurt." |
"You took kind of a hard dive for that last ball, I don't doubt that you'll be a little bit sore," she gave a bit of a chuckle as she let her arm fall from around the girl's shoulders to instead merely walk side-by-side with her down the hall to the sound of echoing voices in the locker room. "If it seems too bad when you get home sometimes a warm shower or a water bottle can help."Standing back she allowed for another group of girls to pass by them first before holding the door open for Miko. "Did you still want me to help you get the...motivation for gym class after school or do you think you have the hang of it?"

Miko made sure that there was no awkward moment that will happen while the two of them walked side by side, she tried her best not to let their hands brush up against each other.
When Jun held the door open for her, she went in and waited for her so that they could walk together to their lockers. Oh hot damn...that's a tough question.. "Well, I seem to get the hang of it, but you know more about it. Like, what to do when you feel like your hips are dislocated, you know?" She shrugged and grabbed her towel so that they can take a shower, "If you don't mind, I'd still like to get that kind of motivation." she giggled at her. |
Lowly she laughed under her breath to keep attention away from them as they walked together through the locked room. When Miko grabbed her own towel, Jun drifted away long enough to find her own locker and grab her own towel before finding her way back to the girl. Lightly she bumped their shoulders together as she could hear some of the other girls already starting up their shower heads. "Well, are you the type who actually wants that kind of attention or are you just saying it for the sake of conversation."

She gasped as Jun had noticed it. In order to avoid further awkwardness, she laughed and placed her hand on her nape and looked down, "Oh, you got me there. I was just saying that to keep the conversation going." She then shrugged and moved towards one of the cubicles so that she could wash away the dirt and sweat, "Hm...shall we take a shower first?"

Having seriously thought that the girl was honestly, well, Jun was almost a tad disappointed to find out that it was all for the show of conversation. She didn't let it affect her, however, and as she walked into her own cubicle she gave a laugh. "Isn't that why we're here at the showers?" Giving a shake of her head she worked on stripping out of her sweaty gym uniform and starting up the shower with a starting spray of cold water before it quickly warmed and she hurried to wash off all of the sweat from gym class before the hot water ran out.
