I was just wondering if there was an option to sellback commons?

I was looking in the stores and I couldn't really see anything. If there is a feature like this, can the Crane Game items be sold there too or are they not classed as commons?

There is. Simply click the Avatar tab to go to your inventory screen. From there, click on the item you want to sell and you should see a 'Sell Back' button to the left of the 'Cancel' button, as well as the Sellback Price. Click the 'Sell Back' button and you're all set.

So there's no way to discard the free stuff? I accidentally got too many thinking I had to get one in each color in order to have them so I have lots of extras that I don't need...

No, you can sell back items bought for AU, once you open the Anka egg though you can't sell the resulting item back.

Often times you can swap duplicate egg items with other people who may have gotten extras of the ones you're missing. Just ask around a bit in the egg item discussion thread or in the market section of the forums.
