Clearly very new!

Hello everyone! I stumbled in here and decided to check this place out.

Anyway, I'm Xurxo. I like Sci-fi, comics, and etc. I work a lot and enjoy forums as a way of chilling out.

Anyway, I'm still learning the ropes.

Any questions? :D

Arikana 12-06-2012 12:22 AM

Hey there, welcome to Tris! :)
I hope you enjoy your time here.

Xurxo 12-06-2012 12:24 AM

I am sure I will :D

Arikana 12-06-2012 12:29 AM

That's good to hear. :)
So how are you enjoying the ongoing event so far?

Xurxo 12-06-2012 12:32 AM

Good. I'm used to avatar-type sites so I learn things pretty quickly! :D

Espy 12-06-2012 01:03 AM

Hey, welcome to Tris. If you've any questions you can always ask me...but I'm not sure of how prompt my replies would be, seeing as how I just started and finished reading The Da Vinci Code in three hours, had half a box of chocolate coffee beans, and am now currently attempting to start and finish a 1.6x-longer-than-usual physics assignment that is due...tomorrow morning.

Xurxo 12-06-2012 01:08 AM

Ahahaha, oh man, good luck.

I'm long out of school being 27. ;)

Espy 12-06-2012 01:13 AM

Ah, my problem is that I want to do EVERYTHING...and being a first-sem freshman with ADD and a tendency to get addicted to random shit (no, I do not do drugs) and get into mischief ("I solemnly swear I am up to no good" might make a good slogan for me)...

...well, you can see where that might lead. As of right now, I'm a bit of a disgraced former top-five-percent student struggling to not fail Calculus in Three Dimensions.

Xurxo 12-06-2012 01:17 AM

Well...I was in and out of school for six years, then stopped. So there's still room to go back. xD;; Same reasons, too. ADD and want to do it ALL.

Espy 12-06-2012 01:24 AM

Granted, I am in both a select leadership group AND Carnegie Mellon's most notorious social organization...while being sought after by said social org's spiritual opposite. I'm slightly amused by the fact that I, the high school sort-of-recluse, seem to be the most outspoken and "older brother" of my dorm.

...Anyways, enough about myself. If I ever seem to not be able to shut up, it's because I'm dead tired. ...Yes, even after half a box of coffee beans.

Xurxo 12-06-2012 01:26 AM

I have no idea how you could possibly be. I have to wake up in 5 hours for work, and yet here I am awake and at it. :) oh well

Espy 12-06-2012 01:27 AM

...Want to swap energy levels?

Xurxo 12-06-2012 01:30 AM

Ahaha, yes, that would be nice.

Espy 12-06-2012 01:34 AM

We should swap brains as well. You could probably handle my physics homework better than I can.

Xurxo 12-06-2012 01:36 AM

Ahahaha, I doubt it.

I'm not good at the sciences. You can give it to me if you want to fail it, though. :D

Espy 12-06-2012 01:50 AM

I'm close enough to failing as is.

Xurxo 12-06-2012 01:51 AM

Oh, well. Still.

I wish you luck!

I am going to make an attempt at sleep. >>;

Espy 12-06-2012 01:54 AM

Okies. Good luck/night.

Shadami 12-06-2012 02:58 AM

Being 27 doesn't really mean you're that far out of school. I have several friends who are 30 and still in school. And even my father is thinking of going BACK to school at 50 something...

Edit:

I mean welcome to Tris :D I'm new too ^^

Xurxo 12-06-2012 08:04 AM

Probably should say long time since I took school seriously ;)

And hello! ;)

Espy 12-06-2012 08:34 AM

Morning, all. ...three hours of sleep did not do it for me.

Xurxo 12-06-2012 09:10 AM

Oh man. That sucks. :(

Espy 12-06-2012 09:11 AM

Meh, oh well. Gotta deal with it.

Xurxo 12-06-2012 09:15 AM

Such is life.

Slylord 12-06-2012 09:25 AM

Welcome to Trisphee.

Cora 12-06-2012 09:40 AM

physics=ewww.....just saying T.T

Espy 12-06-2012 09:46 AM

Haaahaahaha. If I stick to Mech E, physics will basically become my life.

Cora 12-06-2012 09:50 AM

I was a straight A student.....I failed badly at physics...and I seriously tried T.T

Xurxo 12-06-2012 12:33 PM

I was better at physics than chemistry, but still sucked.

Weird, since I was always really good with math. I guess I didn't grasp it entirely.

Thank you, Slylord!

Lauv Keiko 12-06-2012 12:40 PM

Hi Hi xurxo...

erm... how do you say your name? o3o

"Shure" - "Sho".

(ie: in the way that the x = sh sound)

You're the first person to ask me that!

Cora 12-06-2012 01:05 PM

Actually Chemistry was amazing to me.

Something about it just sort of clicked.

Lauv Keiko 12-06-2012 01:08 PM

Shu-sho!
that will be your nickname!! <3

Xurxo 12-06-2012 01:37 PM

@Cora - Ah, lucky! I was always more of a social studies and language arts person.
@Lauv - I am okay with this. :D

Lauv Keiko 12-06-2012 02:56 PM

x3 lol
I like giving nicknames... soooo, yeah ^^

Xurxo 12-06-2012 03:02 PM

I can't blame you. :D

Slylord 12-06-2012 03:05 PM

I love language arts. =w=

Xurxo 12-06-2012 03:08 PM

Yes, this is very good. n_n; I have an appreciation for it. :D

Cora 12-06-2012 03:13 PM

I am a math nerd.

That is good. Math used to be a strong thing for me, but when I got older it changed. c:
