Aaron looked at his brother taking his shirt and wrapping himself in it, though looked a little guilty as he did so "W-won't you get cold Richard?" he asked looking to the floor, he was afraid what might happen if their parents found out he was the cause of his brother being ill. Hearing his brother saying that they could have went home if he knew now to drive but he knew at their age there was no such luck. He moved into Richard's lap and cuddled into him nuzzled him trying to ignore the thunder that petrified him so much.
|
Richard wrapped his arms around Aaron's frail waist, pulling him closer so they would both stay warm. He also Did it because it would help calm Aaron around a storm like this. "I won't get sick if we stay warm this way" Richard smirked, knowing full well his immune system would kick any chance of a cold. He eventually rubbed Aaron's back to help calm him once they were warmer, wanting to stretch his arms a bit as well.
He nearly fell asleep from the body heat after a while as the storm was starting to let up. What made him snap awake was the sound of people walking around outside after what seemed to be hours waiting for the storm to let up. |
Aaron looked at his brother smiling a little nodding to what was said he was naive on such matters and so didn't question his brother's intentions though history had shown him that he likely should as he wasn't treated overly well by his family. Feeling his brother's rubbing his back he whimpered a little as it felt nice, soothing him to the point he was calm even as the next thunderbolt hit.
He opened his eyes after a while of being in a semi sleep state as he heard feet moving around the limo. He began to panic as he didn't realize that the rain had stopped. His eyes went to the door as it opened the driver looked in "Young sir are you okay?" his eyes on Richard as he spoke. |
Richard protectively held Aaron as the door opened, calming some as he noticed it was their driver. "Yes. How about we go home now" He more than demanded in a hushed undertone, not liking how long they had to wait out in the storm for the mall to open up.
He was tired still, sitting up and sliding Aaron off his lap so he could adjust and stretch before allowing him back to the safety and warmth. When they'd get home, he would hope the staff would have something nourishing and warm for them to eat. He also noted Aaron would probably need a nice hot bath as would he. |
The sriver looked at the two and couldn't help thinking that something could have went on but didn't think that the two would do something so stupid, even if they had,it wasn't his place to comment he was just a servant of the household and his pay check and pension where on the line if he upset Richard. "As you wish young sir, sorry to have kept you waiting." it wasn't his fault though he knew better than not to be apologetic even under these circumstances.
Closing the door he moved into the driver's seat setting off as soon as he strapped himself in, mumbling how much of a brat Richard was in a hushed tone not wanting to anger the youth anymore than he already was, then again he knew if the parent's knew how he caught them then there would be a good chance that they would chew at least one of them a new one without a second thought, but knew the one that would get the blame would be the one that never done anything to gain any of the punishments he received and that was something he and the other staff tried to prevent at all costs. Aaron never said anything through out the whole exchange with the driver but bit his lip after he left "I-it wasn't his fault, you shouldn't be mad at him." he whispered not wanting to anger his brother his eyes going to Elissa "Elissa says that you've been nice to me today, but she's says I shouldn't get to use to it, you'll change when mummy and daddy get back." deep inside he feared that but for the moment he wanted to cherish this time with his brother even if it was fake. When they got home the Driver opened the door helping Richard out bowing a little as he did so, he wanted to help Aaron out to but was unsure how the other would take it so allowed Aaron to make his own way out and watched as he ran to the house as if death itself was chasing him, in his arms the Victorian doll he now carried. Sighing "Your parents have to tight a collar around his neck." he looked at Richard, on this occasion he didn't care if he was heard as he hoped Richard would agree with him. Inside the house Aaron made his way to his room and closed the door knowing his curfew was only a few minutes away. As much as he was hungry he wasn't going to be punished for not being in his room and ready to go to bed over a meal. He never even bothered to get changed into warmer dry clothing instead he just climbed into bed with what he was wearing in time to hear his room door click letting him know he was locked in for the night. |
Richard sighed, heading up to his room after he'd lost sight of Aaron. He assumed he was in his room. He would swing by later on after a nice hot shower, possibly with something for them to eat if he played his cards right with the kitchen staff. He would also plan to stay in that room as well, just to force himself into the habit of being Around Aaron more.
After his long shower, Richard went down to the kitchen, talking amongst the staff there and telling them about their day. He knew they'd pity Aaron over the storm and would probably allow some sort of meal or snack, or so he hoped. |
Hearing about the day the chef reheated some soup he had made earlier in the day "You see, I told you it would rain..." he sighed shaking his head "Poor Aaron never stood a chance, he's been scared of storms ever sin--" he was cut off by one of the maids covering his mouth with her hand "Do you really want to get fired for mentioning that you oof?" she asked him going to get a bowl for Aaron ready "Some of the meat will still be warm so make him some sandwiches." she muttered, the chef laughing nodding "Good idea he does like warm meat sandwiches" they went around their task happily. Once finished they handed the tray to Richard the maid placing a small bowl of warm rice pudding with some jam in the middle on the tray "Don't hurt him." she ushered, yes Richard was the young lord of the house but as the servants they held power if they went on strike.
When Richard finally got to Aaron's room he'd be half dangling off the bed fast asleep though tossing and turning Richard's shirt torn to pieces at the door looking almost blood drenched. |
Richard calmly yet quickly walked to the desk to deposit the tray of food before climbing up on the bed and sitting close to Aaron, trying to sooth him by petting his head. "shh, I'm here. I've brought some food up." He sighed when he wasn't getting anywhere by doing little things, instead deciding to hold Aaron in place by straddling him as he tried to access the damage and why his own shirt was ruined in such little time.
|
Aaron couldn't hear his brother's voice as he spoke, so showed little to no effect on him, and feeling his head being touched he cried out "I-I'll be good, p-please don't hurt me... please daddy..." his voice showing true fear as he screamed out not once did his eyes show signs of opening. As he was straddled he tried to curl almost cower in fear tears streaming from his eyes as he whimpered settling down a little.
On inspection of his top there would be no signs of him being hurt in anyway, though there would be a few latent scars from his youth that happened years ago, after a few moment his eyes darted open and he sat up in a cold sweat screaming only to fall back whimpering and crying his eyes not closing almost as if he was afraid to do it. |
Richard backed off a little once Aaron woke more, sliding off of him and instead pulling him close. "shhh. You're okay now. It's just me." He stroked Aaron's back gently, trying to get him to realize he was fine and safe and secure. Whatever had him thrashing about, Richard thought might have been a dream.
|
Aaron looked to Richard as he slid off he was petrified and had no idea what he was even doing in his room, he must have known there was no escape for him now until the locks opened the following morning. More so he knew he was at his brothers mercy until the morning. As he was pulled up he let out a sharp release of air as he wasn't expecting it and as he was held close began to shake believing that it was some ploy to gain his trust. "I-I won't say anything I promise..." he tried to move off the bed allowing Richard to have use of it believing it was his right as favoured to have the little comfort the room had to offer.
|
Richard sighed, shaking his head. "Not going to do anything to you. I brought food." He got up, bringing the tray over. "It's probably cold again now, but it's still food." He crawled back into the bed once he placed the tray safely in a secluded spot before picking it up again while sliding Aaron back into his lap. He offered the food to Aaron first. "Don't want this to go to waste do you? They saved this for you" He knew he could have whatever he'd wanted but right now he just wanted Aaron to eat. He could go down later and get something.
|
"I'm not hungry." the voices around the room telling him not to trust Richard that he had done something to it, that they would be angry with him if he touched it. He closed his eyes and looked away from the food but his stomach betrayed him as he smelt the warm gammon sandwich and growled. Watching as Richard moved off the bed he moved to get off it and sat on the floor knowing his parents would say it was where he belonged when Richard or themselves came into his cell.
"It's still warm" he replied seeing some steam rise from everything on the plate, his stomach demanding food, but he wouldn't touch it in fear what they would do if he even thought about it. "I'm being good." he whispered trying to appease those in the room. When he was pulled back into his brother's lap done so without fuss whimpering a little "Y-you should have it, you can't get out until the door opens tomorrow." he didn't want his brother to starve for the night that was sure. |
Richard thought a moment, trying to see why it was such a big deal. "I will id you will" He figured those voices he was warned about were doing something to his thinking. He wasn't in a good state of mind. He figured if he ate some then Aaron would be able to, seeing as it would be safe. He really didn;t know what to do once his parents would be back, knowing they'd expect him to fall in line like he'd been trained to do since day one.
|
Aaron shook his head "You have to eat it, if you get sick I'll be punished...." he knew for a fact that's what would happen it happened every time even if he had nothing to do with it. Climbing off Richard he moved back on the floor where he rolled under the bed almost like a kid who was looking for protection and to keep himself small "Mummy and daddy will be back tomorrow." he knew that their nana would be there for a week but considering the storm that had just happened would have grounded their parents so they would have to rescheduled their meeting in Athens.
|
Richard sighed, trying his best not to give up. His patience was slipping a bit but he tried his best not to get angry. He slipped off the bed and knelt down to try and coax Aaron out. "I don't want to sleep without you there with me. At least stay with me." He didn't bother reaching under the bed, knowing it was better to let Aaron decide for himself.
|
Aaron looked towards his brother from underneath the bed "Elissa says your angry Richard..." he paused for a second "Are you angry at me?" he asked his tone showed he was frightened "Y-you want me to sleep with you? R-really?" he seemed a excited about it moving a little out from under the bed but scampered back under the bed "I-I can't they'll get angry and hurt you... they told me so." his voice shaking as he began to cry
|
"No I'm not angry. I'm just sleepy and want some company is all." Rickard calmed himself enough that it would be believable to anyone who would see. "I don;t care about getting hurt. Just come out. I'll be fine." He knew he was tolerant of a fair amount of pain if anything did end up happening. He tried his best to soothe Aaron and stop the tears as he tried his best to get him out from under the bed.
|
Aaron shook his head one thing he had learned by himself that nothing is really as it seems with his brother or parents so pulled further towards the wall. His eyes went wide however tears streaming down "I-I don't want you in my room... bang and get out!" his voice showed was petrified as if something had scared him beyond belief. "I-I'm t-trying.... p-please don't... h-he..." he stammered and stopped "S-sorry Eric." he whispered his hand going towards Elissa but stopped drawing back to him he nodded as if being told off.
|
Richard sighed, his patience slipping over the edge as he got up. He knew he couldn't sleep with Aaron like this so instead he paced for a while trying to think of another tactic. When he couldn't come up with anything, he decided he would get some sleep, dragging a pillow and blanket to the floor so he could watch Aaron and thought he might come out after he'd fallen asleep.
|
Aaron watched he wanted to come out and being close to his brother but his friends, the ones that he classed as family, the ones that he drew in his old room before being placed in the cell he had now. "E-Eric wants you to leave, y-you're not ment t-to be in my cell." he whispered as he seen his brother pacing back and forth. It was clear that he was scared but soon fell silent as he brother seemed to pull his bedding to the floor so he could sleep.
Waiting till his brother fell asleep he looked from under the bed to a wall it seemed "P-please don't Eric... i-it won't happen again." he flinched cowering more under the bed "I-I know, b-but..." he began to silently cry as he moved his arm out a cut appearing on his upper arm and began to bleed. "O-okay." he curled his eyes closing, his thumb went to his mouth as he fell asleep not even worried that he was bleeding on the floor. |
Richard slept, knowing he couldn't pull an all-nighter if their parents would be home any given time. He half hoped the staff would have came up to check on them before he'd fallen asleep. He couldn't get comfy on the floor though didn't bother to move since he'd be stuck in that room until morning sometime.
Richard was relieved when he was shook awake by one of the maids. He sat up, rubbing at his eyes before looking around for Aaron. He stood and tossed the blanket and pillow onto the bed again, looking around before walking out. He half hinted to the maid that Aaron was under the bed, whispering to her what had happened the previous night as he hoped she could help him out more. |
Aaron would already have been awake by the time the maid walked in, seeing her look under the bed he whimpered her arms going out "Come, come little brother... you know under the bed isn't where you sleep." her voice was warm and calming watching as she watched Aaron crawl out and hug her. she looked at his arm sighing "You took a penence again little brother." she picked up his light form. "Young sir breakfast is ready, I will tend to little brother." with that she walked out with Aaron to get his wound tended to.
If followed Richard would see her sitting him down in a room that kind of looked like it came straight from a hospital, Aaron was clearly distressed in it. "Don't worry little brother, it's only so I can clean the wound, I won't tie you down I promise." she knew she should likely use this room till he stopped being harmed, but she just couldn't. As soon as it was done she moved to a wardrobe unlocking it bringing out some clothing before locking it and helping him dress. "I will get chef to cook your favorite considering your stressful night." |
Richard had wandered back to his own room, pondering as he paced. He had an idea to get Aaron to be able to stay in his room, but didn't know for sure if it would work or not. After all, one cannot easily fool a parent, let alone two. Once he kept the plan in his head, he wrote it down in an old journal, hiding it in a secret spot in his room. After that, he got dressed and decided to check and see if Aaron was okay, searching for the maid that came in earlier.
|
Once Aaron was dressed the maid escorted him out of the ward like room. "Aaron, I need you to be a good boy and go to the dinning room, I'll go talk to chef and get your favorite made." she said warmly as if she was his mother kissing his head, as she pulled back she noticed Richard "Hello again young sir." she curtisied and walked off to the kitchen to talk to the chef.
Aaron walked to the kitchen like he had been instructed and sat down at his normal place. Like normal he twiddled is toes, but shook a little knowing that their parents would be back either today or tomorrow "They can't punish me, I was a good boy." he rocked a little like he did when he was younger. |
(lol you meant Aaron >D)
Richard wandered the halls, deciding to follow the maid, noticing she went to see the chef. He decided to tell them his plan and get their opinions on it. He told them also about what had happened the last night in better detail than he had when it was just the maid, since Aaron was also in the room then. |
((yes I did. lol.))
The maid had listened to everything as did the chef who had begun cooking what Aaron enjoyed most. "That was a bad move on your part." The chef muttered starting to cook some scrambled eggs the maid moving to sit Richard down so they could explained. "Do you remember the room that has all those drawings on the walls?" she asked, however she didn't wait for a reply instead she continued. "Aaron drew every image in detail over the years till it scared your parents and he was moved to the cell he has now." she moved to get the orange juice. "Each one is a spirit that wanders around him, however, when he was moved to his cell they followed and when people stay they either get hurt or he takes peniance." the chef continued as he moved to cut up some fruit "He got cut last night." the maid stated pouring the juice allowing the information to sink in. |
Richard nodded, only half paying attention. Mainly keeping thoughts on the more important parts of the conversation. "Do you think they would "follow" if he was allowed to stay in my room?" He also wanted their thoughts on the idea as he had dreamt of it while in the cell. He wouldn't say he expected someone to come in to check up on Aaron at the very least.
|
The maid looked to him as he asked the question as the chef started make some pancakes. "I don't know if they would... I guess if he would stay in there all the time you could be placing yourself in danger." she wanted to say that the room was more for Aaron's protection as he would take penance for people being in his living space, that and Aaron actually wandered one night stabbing their father in his sleep.
|
"I don't care whatever happens to me. I'm tired of being a tool" Richard said seriously, knowing he was a puppet to his parents and that Aaron used to be in the same boat. He was tired of not being able to live his own life the way he wanted to do so, but also wanted to see Aaron safe.
|
The maid clenched her eyes and struck Richard hard "Are you stupid? Seriously? Are you stupid?" she shook her head moving out of the kitchen into the garden from the back room swearing in Chinese. It caught the chef off guard "Please don't tell your parents on her, Aaron is as good as our child we have raised him from the age of six." he started to dish up the breakfasts "We have been there for the good days, the bad days and the hellish ones where you'd think it just be kinder to kill him." his voice was sad as he spoke it was easy to see that he was being sinceare.
"If you where harmed they would send Aaron away or have him locked in his cell where he would never talk to another person for the rest of his life. To the world he would be dead." He didn't want to see it was only because of Richard that Aaron was still in the house after the accident eight years ago. "You are their favoured, use that to your advantage... as it stands he is scared to go outside and of most contact, his best friend for Pete's sake is a doll." he knew that Aaron was starved for attention so when he recieved it from his family or their friends he had no idea how to take it. |
Richard nodded, knowing not to take anything the staff said about him to heart. He knew they were stressed out a lot because of Aaron's situation so he knew not to disturb them with it more than need be. He would still try and convince them to at least let Aaron out of his cell for a few more visits than he was already allowed, somehow. He knew he would have to play naive around his parents about not knowing anything that went on in Aaron's head or in the cell. That would be the key to getting things his way more often than not.
|
The chef finished dishing up the breakfasts of the two boys. "I know it's not normally what you eat young sir but it's what Aaron likes and we wanted to treat him." He knew Richards would be semi understanding about what they said and done they all wanted the same at the end of the day, to see Aaron's true smile, perhaps even hear him laugh and giggle like he use to when they where the same but something told him those days had long since past but they still wanted to try.
Taking the trays he moved into the dinning room where Aaron would have his head lowered down sitting stiff and still as a statue. "Something's wrong. I think your parents are home it's the only time he really acts like this unless one of them are in his body in which case we may be in trouble." he moved over placing the food on the table before tapping Aaron's shoulder. Aaron head moved around like a meercat with the expression of a deer in headlights. "I was good honest! I-I didn't do it!" he whimpered bursting into tears. In honesty he had fallen asleep and thought he was in trouble for doing something bad. The chef hugged him close and kissed his head like a dad would "Aaron, you are fine you fell asleep." he said moving the tray with his food in front of him before walking off. Aaron's eyes lit up instantly and he was about to begin to eat his scrambled eggs when he stopped as if he was waiting permission. That was only one part of it, since Richard was standing and not at the table he knew he had to wait or he would get into trouble. |
Richard walked over to the opposite side of the table, sitting at his placed setting. He knew the chef was right since he did not normally have something so simple as this for a breakfast, though he also had never had it ever. He was curious at the same time as to what it tasted like done like that since he usually would have eggs Benedict or something more extravagant like that.
He went for it, expecting it to taste not half as good as it did. He surprised himself as well with the outcome by nearly inhaling the meal in a matter of seconds. He knew Aaron was probably taking his time since he knew he waited for him to sit first before eating, out of habit for punishment. |
Aaron watched as Richard took his normal place and wondered what the chef was thinking giving Richard something like what he got for a treat. "It's not bad, it's really good honest." he whispered looking to his own breakfast not touching it for the moment he wanted to savour it, that and he knew better than to begin eating till his betters had started. As Richard took the first bit he picked up a piece of toast swinging his feet humming not loud enough to upset anyone.
Finishing his bite he was surprised just how quickly Richard was going through his breakfast. "Chef might have more if you are enjoying it so much." he smiled happily before taking another bite and humming once more looking at the eggs and fruit salad. |
Richard stopped to breathe, looking over at Aaron;s plate and comparing it to his own nearly empty one. He knew it was a descent portion and figured it was enough since he didn't want to be overly stuffed. He took his orange juice and chugged that down as well, though knew he'd have another glass of that to go with the toast. He looked to the side and picked up some blueberry jelly packets and decided to try it on the toast since he didn't much like plain toast but never had the blueberry before since it was never allowed. It was their fathers favourite so it was always reserved for him.
|
Aaron hadn't even bothered putting butter on his toast he was use to it dry and so it was strange to him to have it any other way. He just happily ate occasionally he moved some scrambled eggs onto the toast "It's yummy isn't it?" he grinned happily eating a fork full of eggs humming a little louder some of the egg fell on the table but he just picked it up and put it in his mouth continuing to enjoy his special breakfast.
|
Richard nodded, though couldn't help but laugh a little at Aaron picking up the food as if it wasn't even on the table. He laughed a little too much, causing the previously chugged orange juice to bring up a pretty descent burp. He covered his mouth afterwards, never having that happen to him before since he was usually eating the best and least gassy foods out there. He nearly flushed when he looked at Aaron after the incident. He was sure the staff probably heard as well.
|
Aaron looked down as he heard the laughing even putting down what he was eating cleaning up everything he moved his plates ready to take them in the kitchen. He knew the other was laughing at him and it made him feel insecure about eating in front of him. He said nothing and headed towards the kitchen, when inside he just put the items on the side about to place it into the bin before the maid caught him "What are you thinking about doing that." she scolded moving Aaron to the breakfast counter "You sit there and are not to move till it's all in your tummy." she smiled ticking him laughing as he giggled.
|
Richard finished up, sliding down in his chair to become more comfortable to stretch. He was still fairly sleepy and stiff from sleeping on the floor. He would definitely sleep in his own room tonight, though wondered if he could coax Aaron to at least visit. He had a lot of built up tension, though knew he probably shouldn't attempt anything with Aaron again in that same way he had before. He thought of getting a shower, though that still didn't relieve all the built up tension.
