Alex did not go to bed as early as he would have liked. His father called an emergency meeting but they soon realized they were no closer to finding a solution as to what to do about the vampires. They talked, plotted and researched well into the morning light, and afternoon. Eventually Alex's father gave him the night off so he wouldn't be so tired at school but Alex found it hard to sleep until he was utterly exhausted.

Collin too decided to shower and soon afterwards he fell asleep. When he woke up in the afternoon, he decided to do his homework like all good students doing it the day before rather then when it was assigned. It was then that he picked up his phone and blushed at Jeremys text -hee just think happy thoughts C< I know I do.- He wondered if now was still a good time to ask about joining the school, especially since Mr. Royson probably didn't want a vampire in his history classes.

Kent slept in, forgetting they had a meeting at the pub for all the rest of the clan who could attend. He inwardly cursed himself as he got Jeremy ready too. He was shocked to find Jeremy was up before he was. They bolted to the pub as fast as they could in the normal human way of walking. He thought to ask Kent about the AP program, thinking it over. Kent would agree to it if the other teachers did.

Jeremy texted Collin as they walked. 'we have a meeting at the pub today, slept in a bit so we missed a little. Poor Kent didn't get much sleep. I asked about the program, Kent said it's all right if the other teachers agree to it. That includes 'him' doesn't it?' He sighed as they went to the pub to discuss the other clans' faults.

"Yes that includes him silly, Oi, he is the history teacher" Was all Collin could say. He was glad that he could attend classes but if that put his life in danger well. He continued to scribble out his newest English paper. It sounded like Jeremy needed to get away from his moopy Cousin and since Collins brothers weren't feeding him, he asked Jeremy if it were okay if they went to a burger joint so long as they were inside before night fall.

Jeremy agreed, saying he'd be fine and in before anything happened. Kent agreed, going to the meeting. It's not like Jeremy paid attention to them babbling on anyway. He'd be gone for probably 3 hours or so at most. He waited for Collin at the corner store they bypassed on their first walk.

Kent would be in the meeting, thinking of plans against the other clan if they tried anything again. For some reason they wanted Jeremy, not sure if it was just him they wanted. They made plans to do border patrols, in case of another sighting.

Collin grinned seeing Jeremy "I figured you needed time away from your Cousin, especially if hes still... jealous about the other night." Collin said scratching his head. Since the pub was out of the question, Collin had racked his brain thinking of some place safe to eat, and finally settled on a Ramen stand, that was built by Japanese immigrants. It also sold sushi hibachi items and bubble tea. "Do you think he will be alright?" He asked pulling out a stool for Jeremy before taking one of his own.

"Hopefully. He's annoying to be around when morbidly depressed like that. He'll come around when everything is less awkward." Jeremy says, snagging a piece of sushi before Collin. With his other arm, he wrapped around Collin. "He probably would've liked to watch." Jeremy blushed lightly, nearly burning his tongue on the ramen he got with the sushi. He figured going splits on the food seemed good.

Kent got out of the meeting after planning where guards should be, walking home and wondering where Jeremy had gone. Once he knew he decided to go there first.

Collin laughed at the boy fresh Ramen was always hot. He ate his sliced steak bits while waiting for his to cool. "I don't think I would have done anything if he were watching." Collin found himself blushing. "Hes family to you but to me, hes well the guy that gave me an A." He shuddered. "Awkward thoughts"

Alex found himself pacing about his living room tapping a paintbrush to his hand. For some strange reason, Stacy had come home early surprised to see him actually painting. "Whats wrong with your studio?" She asked ploping into his chair. He didn't really answer until he asked. "Alright Stacy... what would you do if some one didn't actually lie to you, but didn't exactly share the truth either?" He asked. Realistically he realized that he and Kent probably weren't meant to have gotten close if it wasn't for his estrange caffeine high one morning. The man had his right to keep his secrets but now that he knew he couldn't go back and undo that knowledge.

Jeremy laughs a bit. "Yeah. He'd probably go into a coma or something though." He knew he'd get a nosebleed on impact. "oh. better than nothing though. When he corrects my stuff mostly, I always get perfect marks."

Kent overheard them talking. "if I watched what? Anything good on the menu?" He asked, sitting next to them. He came at an almost awkward time.

"I'm not sharing!" Collin yelped remembering what happened last time he gave Jeremy a nose bleed. If he had to help him and his cousin he would probably go into shock. Luckily they were at at food stand so when Kent popped up unexpectedly it just sounded as if Collin was being selfish with his food. "I mean it depends on what you like, they might serve you rare steak?." He offered with an unsure grin.

"Right right he told you. Hmm" She thought and Alex never expected her to actually give out sound advice but she did. "That is no reason not to be friends, just keep an extra careful eye on him that's all, if you smell trouble leave." She grinned at him pulling him into the chair. "Your an adult, you make your own life. Besides he makes you happy, other wise that wouldn't be him in the painting." She slipped out of the chair letting Alex fall in.

Kent decided on getting just Sushi as he wasn't hungry really. He had his fill at the pub. "the meeting went well. We have a plan. I'll tell you about later at a less open place." He figured he'd try it, though he'd share it with someone moreso than eat it all himself. He pouted a bit playing with his food thinking about it. "whenever your ready. You both come with me, home we can discuss it." He didn't mind filling Collin in on the plan, figuring if anything happened cause of the other clan they could defend their area too.

Collin slurped down the last of his ramen. He gave Kent a pat on the back. It was about as close as he could come to comfort for the man because he was still getting over his boundary issues. "Alright but I can't sleep over. I have to get back to finish my hw and tell my parents."

Kent nods. "that's perfectly fine. with me anyway." He finished his meal, going to go for the door while waiting for them. Jeremy walks along after. He's a little sad Collin can't stay but understands perfectly. This was an important topic. It was survival. They head back home, topping up when they get in.

Collin followed behind the two vampires as fast as he could. Inside their home he wondered what the big plan was and if he could get the werewolves to help. It would mean confessing that his friend was a vampire. "Alright Mr. Nichols whats the plan?"

"you're too formal for your own good. Anyway. We're getting border patrols to keep watch so nobody trespasses without a fight. That way they'll have less of a chance to cross our territory again. There's still one thing, we don;t know why they're after you. Or if it's only you they're after." Kent looks to Jeremy, wondering what they had planned. "so what do you think?"

Collin laughed and didn't mean to. "I think that you guys don't think, especially you Mr. Nichols." he shook his head to explain his answer. " When another clan goes against our clan they aren't going to try to take out all the small guys no, they either go for the weakest forcing the alpha to protect him or go after the alpha. I am not sure how vampires do it, but you and Jeremy are Lamia's that make you the strongest. If they wanted your territory they would take out the strongest. After that display of power who would stop them?"

"probably hunters? But we're safe and they had a pact with us. They broke it, breaking our trust too." Kent bit his lip, thinking of a solution. "bait is not an option." He paced the room. "That's all they came up with at the meeting really." He pouts, not really thinking of any ideas. "you have any ideas?"

Collin bit his lip in thought. "I'm not sure, the animal kingdom its pretty straight forward you are strong or not, people tend to be trickier and since the vampires still think like people its harder. I am not sure what they would use and if getting you and Jeremy out of the picture is even their intentions." He found himself resting his head against Jeremys shoulders while he thought. "you could try talking to them again, find out what they really want."

"hmm good idea, though to be on the safe side it should be our patrol talking with them instead of us. Can't be too sure. comfy there or what?" Kent teased. Jeremy stroked Collin's hair while they thought. It could work but who knows.

Collin sighed contently he was getting tired but he still had an essay to finish. "I hate to say this but you guys might have to fight eventually. I mean vampires are naturally predators. Your way of life might offend them."

Kent nodded, but for now they would do what they planned on doing. "you should probably get going before you fall asleep here." He teased. "maybe we should go for a walk, see if we can get some news or something." He said, going to get his jacket before topping up again. Jeremy clung to Collin, nuzzling him a bit before agreeing to the walk.

Collin nodded hoping out of his seat. He gave Jeremy a quick kiss goodnight and a wave to Mr. Nichols. He left the house making it back to his before his parents had gotten home. He decided to leave telling them about the vampire feud for later. Upstairs in abandoned his paper in favor of sleep and an early start in the morning.

Alex had thought long and hard about what Stacy said. He of course would need to find a new pub that served equally nice food. He grabbed his jacket and decided to head out again hoping to find just that.

Jeremy and Kent walked around a bit, deciding to patrol in the city and stay away from the borders. They would be safer there, they hoped. Jeremy had his cell on him in case anything happened, he could text Collin. They were on the street where the other pubs were located, knowing there were four in town.

Alex feet took him where ever they wanted to go. There were several moments when he pulled out his cell phone and thought about texting Kent to apologize for his actions but he didn't, he didn't know what else to say really. Eventually his body forced itself on to his usual patrol route.

Jeremy and Kent were chatting about what they did while they were not home or things like that. Kent was informed of what he and Collin had done up to before he found them in the closet. He had missed out on a lot it seemed. He thought they might be going too fast, only really having met that day. Though it made him think of his other half, making him more depressed. They walked down to the edge of the street.

By the end of his trek, Alex founds himself sitting in a tavern nursing a beer and some fries. It was not as good as the pub but it was the only place that stayed open to cater to late night tourist. He found himself listening to the conversations around him very discretely. The one at the end of the bar was starting to prove fruitful if not at least amusing. By the end of his second drink, he was sure their conversation was some kind of code.

Kent wanders over to their pub, deciding to tell them of any further updates and a possibility of another plan. He pondered an alliance with the wolves or not. It really depended on them since they're less civil. Jeremy roamed around the pub, taking orders for new arrivals who were not family. He figured he'd do that since most were in the meeting again.

Collin was woken up midway through the night by the sounds of arguing. When he went to investigate his brothers we already down stairs along with his parents. They had been having a heated debate over whither to stay neutral. His mother seemed to think the new vampires would not have respect for their privacy, and giving them a seaport was a bad idea which invited all kinds of illegal activity. It was then that Collin pointed out he was friends with the current vampire lords, which earned him all kinds of strange looks and an even longer talk with his family.

Jeremy texted Collin to see if everything was fine, and what they did. He also told him they were home now and getting ready for school tomorrow. He had his alarm set and made sure Kent's was set up too. They went to sleep shortly after, around an early time for them, 10.

Collin ignored his phone for the moment but by the end of the night, his father and mother had switched from arguing about if they should join the fight to if they should ground the boys. Cole and Casey wanted to meet the Lamia, and his mother simply said "I am my your mother boy, there isn't much you can hide from me. " Though Collin didn't understand what she was talking about "Your father..." She left it at that. Before going to bed Collin finished his paper. He stared amusingly at his phone, no reason to disturb Jeremy now since he would just talk to him in the morning.

As Alex left the Tavern he had some new things to think about. When he gotten home, Stacy was gone so he had the apartment to himself to think. He sat in his chair munching on his left over food till he fell asleep. Soon he was woken up by Stacy. "Your alarm has been going off for an hour!" She yelled angrily. "You are going to be late."

Kent got up first, shaking Jeremy awake. They got ready and were all set. They went to the school a half hour earlier than normal. This was to get Jeremy his AP status and such. He didn't know if he would be allowed in every class Collin was in but he would surely be in most. Kent would also copy the house key and get him his own thermos during lunch if he was lucky.

Collin walked into the school with the rest of the students munching on a pop tart. He found his locker and exchanged the books in his bag for the ones that he needed.

Alex for once was almost late, which was considered late for a teacher. He stopped by his class room first dumping most of his stuff there and started to write notes on the board for his first class. Once he finished he slipped off to the teachers lounge for his usual can of Mellow Yellow. He was interrupted by the sectary. The man smiled. "Mr Royson, I need you to sign off on a new Transfer student so I can make his schedule." When Alex saw who it was, he shook his head. "He will have to take the advanced class. I don't know what his old school taught him, and I don't want to back track. It would slow the class down." The man tried to argue that Jeremys test scores said he could be in the class just fine, but Alex still wouldn't sign the paper. He ultimately won by saying to many AP classes would kill a kid with the work load.

Jeremy roamed around until he was told what he needed and where he needed to be. He would be getting a schedule soon, wondering where Collin was. He decided to text to find out.

Kent was in his room, organizing things. He figured he would change his pace a little, opening the curtains and deciding to give a pop quiz on what the students had learned in the past 3 weeks from their previous tests. He allowed it to be an open book quiz though since it was a surprise and they probably hadn't studied since he hadn't warned them.

Collin told Jeremy were his locker was. As soon as he saw him he realized he couldn't lick him or do of the strange things they normally did since they were in public and school so he opted for giving him a nice punch in the arm. “Hay did you get into the classes you wanted?” He asked as soon as he saw him.

Alex decided he would have a talk with Kent at lunch, and invite him to go some place off campus so they could talk in private with the worry of a student walking in. For now he sipped on his mellow yellow and prepared for class.

Jeremy nodded mostly. "Most of them anyway. So anything happen at home?" He showed the schedule he just got before heading to the locker. He also tried to find his locker, seeing it was just above collin's. He didn't get any books yet since he would have to when he went to the classes.

Kent had all his classes before lunch doing the open book test he made up that morning. He kept pondering whether to text him or not.

Collin laughed "Yeah my mom and dad can't choose sides, the clan can't choose sides. I was right. They are worried about the affairs of vampires being more extravagant then wolves, but my mom thinks we should fight. Shes thinking with the human side, after all my families invested a lot into that house and the woods around it. " He blushed a little "My brothers want to meet you and they got in trouble for the deer thing. My father wanted to ground me for skipping school but my mom was just happy I have a social life." He shrugged. "Sweet so what are you taking?" He asked trying to contain his excitement.

"oh. Well either way it's better than being with their side. They're more rowdy than us. I got all your classes except for...his. But that doesn't matter. That's funny. I think I'd enjoy meeting them." Jeremy giggled a bit thinking they'd be fun.

Kent set aside some time to text. 'are you going to answer. Or am I just wasting my time texting? At least you found out from me and not so much from anyone else.' He sighs, finishing correcting some of the tests.

"No!" Collin yelped. "I mean its too soon to meet my family." He said with a mild blush on his face. Collin was still harboring thoughts that his father just might kill Jeremy if he knew.

Alex picked up his phone and looked at his message. He didn't remember getting a text from Kent but he had been so distracted since Saturday that he might have missed it. -Yes, no, true- he sent as he continued to scribble more notes about Ancient Japanese society for his world history class. -I was hoping we could talk about it more during lunch-

"Whenever you feel they're ready. So they only know we're friends? or?" Jeremy blushes and almost lost his balance. He had to refrain from clinging to Collin but it was so tempting.

Kent checked his phone. 'well I have to still get the key made and get another thermos. Maybe while doing that?' He texted back. He was still feeling a little wary but thought it good he was still around. He finished up his corrections, which was easy since it was open book. If they couldn't find the answers then they were idiots.

Collin caught Jeremy and helped him to his feet fighting his emotions to keep his beast side contained. He wondered if he was running low on blood. "You keep thinking that Friday was a dream?" He asked still holding on to Jeremy. "Why do you tell me what you think we are?" He asked half to understand how Jeremy felt and half to tease the boy.

Alex was about to text him back a joke about his coffee drinking habits but then realized it was probably not coffee. -Sure- he sent back feeling very lame. He looked at his chair realizing how hard it was going to be, to be around Kent and knock off his witty banter, especially since their extended metaphor about Chairs and cushions was working so well.

Jeremy held Collin's face. "at least friend's with benefits. More than likely I feel more than that." He said in a whisper before anyone came through the hall to catch an awkward scene. He was fine overall but he wanted so badly to show his affection. "Nah. Reality is a good dream." He teased.

Kent sighs, swinging around to the other room once he was done for the morning. It was going to be awkward, but it would die down eventually. He hoped. He knew the joking around probably wouldn't start up for a bit, if it did again. He hoped for it though.
