"I wasn't pressuring you Solomon, I was just asking her a question." Holden said a little pissed at himself. "I just don't like the fact that I ruined her life." He said with a sigh. "I always screw things up." He said as he grabbed the bread. "I screwed up her life, my relationship with Solomon, my family. I am just one big screw up." He thought to himself as he got the ingredients for their sandwiches. "I'm sorry Solomon." He said making the sandwiches.

Solomon stood behind Holden, wrapping his arms around him and letting his chin gently rest on the boy's head, "Holden, you are not a screw up. Jennifer never liked the fact that Alicia was friends with you to begin with, even before you knew about us. She's very..anti-human. I don't know what her issue with humans is, but it must be significant."
He kissed the top of Holden's head, "Don't take it personally Holden..she just hates us all I'm sure." He chuckled slightly, "Just try to forget about it, alright?" |
Holden turned around in Solomon's arms. "Your too good at that." He said kissing Solomon on the lips. "And I will only forget it if you say please." He said with a sweet smile. "It looks like I'm gonna be bunking with you tonight." He said with a wink. "I'm also sorry I invited her to stay when its your house." Holden said as he turned back around to finish the sandwiches. "Now I want you honest opinion of your sandwich when its done." He said finishing them up.

Solomon smiled, "She's welcomed here anytime. I don't mind at all." He let Holden go so he could work more freely. He stepped back, his hands in his pockets as he watched Holden, "What the heck are you doing to that poor sandwhich? What is all that?" He peered over Holden's shoulder, curious.

He smiled. "Trust me I know what I am doing. I trust you so trust me that you'll love it." Holden said with a smile. The sandwich had turkey, ham, roast beef, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon, a touch of mayo, and dijon mustard. He finished building the sandwiches, and cut them on the diagonal. "Now here." He said turning around with the sandwich on a plate. "It may look weird but you will love it." Holden said proud of himself.

He frowned, "But I don't like mayo.." He rolled his eyes, picking up a slice. He eyed it cautiously, "Or mustard...ah well.." He took a small bite of the sandwhich, nodding a bit in approval, "Take out the mayo and it's perfect. God that stuff is awful..mayo that is."

"I don't like mayo much but I like it on here." He said as he took a bite. "Alicia loves mayo, she makes me gob it on her sandwich when I make it." Holden said with a shiver of disgust. "Speaking of which I should make her one." He said with a smile, thinking of what he could do to make her feel better. "Um where is the closest store?" He asked making Alicia a sandwich.

"Just use the GPS in the Ferrari. It'll show you. Ah! Money! You can just use my card." He pulled out his wallet, handing Holden the credit card, "Just make sure you don't forget to sign my name..force of habit might make you sign yours.You should be fine on your own right? I was going to check the water levels in the pasture, but if you want me to come with.." He smiled slightly, waiting for Holden's answer.

"Wow I didn't even see the GPS." He said with a chuckle. "No I can use my own money." He said handing the card back. "This is for Alicia so I will pay with my money." Holden said with a smile. "I should be fine, and I know your in my brain so if I need anything you will know." He said with a smile. "Now I will take this to Alicia, and I will be back very shortly." He said giving Solomon a kiss on the lips and heading up to his room. "Well it might help if I had her sandwich." He said with a slight chuckle. He grabbed the plate and went upstairs.

Solomon nodded putting the card in its respective pocket and replacing it in his pants pocket. He laughed slightly as Holden nearly forgot the sandwhich, "I'll be out in the pastures if you need to find me." He turned and walked out.

"Ok." Holden said as he got to the stairs. He made it to his room, he gently knocked on the door. "Alicia?" He asked as he opened the door.
"Hm?" Alicia said quietly. "I brought you a sandwich, my specialty." He said with a smile. "Thanks." She said still upset. "It will all be alright." He said as he put the sandwich on the end table. He took a seat on the bed. "Trust me ok?" He asked putting his hand on her knee. "I just don't know." She said with a sigh. "It will be ok. Now you stay here and rest, I will be back." Holden said as he got up off of the bed. Alicia nodded as Holden left the room. Holden got to the garage, and got in the Ferrari. He looked around for the GPS. "Ah there it is." He said as he turned it on. "Now to set it to the closest store. There done." He said as he started backing up the car. |
Solomon was busy pumping water into the bin when suddenly he heard a trust starting to pull up. "Hm?" He looked over to see his tell-tale trailer just as Jack was going around to grab his horses. He saw the doors open and whistled loudly. The two horses neighed loudly and hurried out, Rilov hobbling along like usual, but he seemed rather chipper.
He opened the fence to allow the two in then latched it shut. The young thoroughbred stallion nickered as he nuzzled his face on Solomon's back. "Yes, I missed you too." He scratched Rilov's face then turned to Zera as she pushed him forward, "Bah enough! I told you, Holden is your only competition. Oh! I have a surprise for you two." He whistled again, Kali and Damien trotting around from the the shelter. "Got the start of a nice little herd, eh?" |
Holden arrived at the store. "Well this is nice." Holden said as he got out of the car and locked the doors.
*** "I hope this will make her feel better." He said as he left the store. He got to the car and put what he could in the small trunk. "The rest will have to go in the front seat. I should of taken something with a bigger trunk." He said as he put the rest in the passenger seat. He got in and looked at the receipt, "Hmm ₤305.78 is roughly $498.00. She better get happy." He said with a smile as he started the car. It took him twenty minutes to get back to Solomon's house. "Ok now to juggle all of this stuff." He said as he got out of the car. He grabbed the stuff from the trunk first. He grabbed the stuff from the front next, he juggled a box. "Ya I will come back for you." He said as he put the box back down on the seat. He got to his door and finagled it open, he nearly fell when he got the door open. "Whew." He said with a smile. "Do you need help?" Alicia asked sitting up. "No I got it, you can't peek, there is one more thing I need to grab from the car." Holden said as he went back to the car. "Ok." She said a little confused. |
Solomon sighed watching the horses get aquainted with eachother. He would have to watch the two stallions carefully, but with two mares things should stay calm until one goes into heat. He sighed, not really looking forward to that. He looked back to the barn to see Jack working to get hay and water into the stalls. Perhaps Ill give him a raise. He really deaerves it.
He looked back to the horses hearing a commotion. Rilov had fallen forward and rolled slightly. "Dammit!!" He rushed over to the fallen horse, not caring if he scared Kali or Damien right now. All he could really hear was Zera throwing a fit as her best friend was panicking on the ground. Rilov has tripped many times but he never fell. It was hard for solomon to get close to help the horse so he was forced to stay back until he settled, with some influence of course. |
Holden made it back to his room with the box, he walked in his room because he left the door open. "Ok now Alicia," He looked up to see Mrs. Winters in there. "Hello Mrs. Winters." Holden said nervously.
"Shut up you filthy human," She turned her attention back to Alicia. "How dare you disgrace our name by associating yourself with this creature?" She asked as she picked Alicia up by the throat. "Mother, Holden isn't a creature he's my best friend." Alicia said trying to break her mother's grip. "He is still a filthy animal, who needs to be put down." She said looking to Holden, her eyes were glaring red. "Mrs. Winters you don't wanna do that, remember what happened to Mr. Winters." He said as he stepped back a little. "Don't you dare talk about my husband you disgusting creature." She said as she quickly threw Alicia to the bed and grabbed Holden's throat. Before Holden could blink Mrs. Winters was holding him by the throat. "Solomon help." Alicia said as she put a shield around Holden's windpipe, so her mother couldn't crush it. "Mother stop!" Alicia yelled. Alicia knew she wasn't powerful enough to stop her mother. |
Solomon growled, "Dammit you two! Can't you go two days without cause trouble? I'm a little preoccupied at the moment." He hurried over to the horse as he finally stopped kicking."Shhhhh...it,s alrigh Rilo. Just relax Ill help you up." He got behind the horse placing his hands under him and lifitng him and turning him on his feet. Rilov was oodles of help to also work at it himself. It made this a lot quicker, "Now stay put..Ill be back I promise."
He let out a sigh teleporting to Holdens room. He quickly grabbed Jen by the neck, his hand burning hot, ready to ignite. "I would suggest you leave Jennifer. I'm in no mood to deal with you today." |
"It's not my fault my parents are crazy." Alicia said still trying to keep her mom from killing Holden.
"So you are the one who killed my darling husband." Jennifer said as she threw Holden into the hallway wall. She cooled her neck, "You cannot kill me like you killed my husband." She said as she quickly turned around to face Solomon. She had an evil smirk on her face, "I'm not going anywhere." Alicia tried to slow Holden down but she couldn't. "Holden!" Alicia yelled as she ran to Holden's aid. Holden flew into the wall with a lot of force. His skull got cracked open and his back broke in a few places. He screamed out in pain, Holden was conscious, but couldn't say anything as he saw Alicia run to him. "Oh my god Holden!" She said as she slid on her knees to Holden. She saw the blood starting to pool on the floor. Alicia did a quick scan over his body to see if anything else was wrong. "Your back is broken." She said as she picked him up a little bit. "Gah!" Holden yelled out as Alicia picked him up a little bit. "Sorry." Alicia said as she put her hand over Holden's heart to start his healing process. |
Solomon was in no condition to fight right now. He calmly pocketed his hands with a shrug, "I have no intention of killing you Mrs. Winters. I have enough to deal with from killing your stupid husband. Look, Holden is way over here in London while you're happy in the States where he's no where near you. Just leave it at that and get out of my house. I have more important things to do than deal with you." He knew that she would not simply leave. He would have to force her, and that he was not looking forward to. "How's he doing Alicia?"

"I was able to stop his bleeding, but I can't heal his back I'm almost out of power because I was keeping my mother from crushing his throat." Alicia said still trying to heal Holden's back.
"He destroyed our family name, that doesn't make me happy." She said smelling his blood. "I will go now but one day when your not watching him I will kill him." She said as she disappeared. |
Solomon sighed, placing his hand on his head, a very exhausted expression overcoming his face as he headed over to Alica and Holden, "Go feed. I'll finish healing him Alicia." He still had plenty of power reserved yet, or, enough to heal Holden's back, but after that he'd be in desperate need for blood.
Once Alicia was gone, he knelt down by Holden, "I'm going to move you and it might hurt, but I'll do what I can to make it as pleasant as possible." Very slowly he moved Holden so he was laying on his belly, then gently laid his hands on Holden's back, slowly and carefully healing it. If he wasn't careful, Holden could become paralyzed, or even die. |
"Do you have any servants around?" Alicia asked moving away from Holden. Alicia went down the stairs to find someone to feed from.
Holden tried to scream out in pain but he couldn't. A few tears escaped his eyes. "Why me?" He asked himself as he laid on his stomach. |
After a few tense minutes Holden's back was fully repaired, and hopefully to what it used to be if not stronger. Solomon sat back, leaning up on the wall with a heavy sigh. "Because I had to get you involved Holden...and for that, I'm sorry." He closed his eyes, remaining still as he listened to Holden breath, muttering 'This is why we don't allow humans into our world', to himself.

Holden was panting from the pain he just went through. After his breathing slowed down he turned over on his back. "Gah!" He yelled because his back was tender. "Solomon it's not your fault." He said breathing heavily again. "I love you and you love me, those are reasons to be together no matter what the consequences are." Holden said looking over to Solomon. He sat up, he gasped out in pain, "It isn't that bad Solomon, I am fine you are fine. Even though you need to feed." He grabbed the back of his head. "I'm surprised I didn't get a concussion." Holden said looking at his bloody hand.

"Thanks to Alicia you didn't." He opened one eye, looking at Holden with a smile, "I told you, I'm perfectly fine. Either way you are wrong. If I hadn't told you I'm a vampire, none of this," He raised his arms, motioning outward, "would've happened. You would be safe and sound in the States, not having to worry every second that you're going to get attacked by some angry vampire. Granted, I still would've killed your mother one way or another..." He sighed, running his hand through his hair while his other just fell into his lap, "You're going to be sore for a few days, so you should probably go lay down."

"I'm not worried Solomon." Holden said as he got on his hands and knees. He crawled over to Solomon. He winced when he sat down next to Solomon. "If you didn't need blood you would of killed Mrs. Winters within a second." He said leaning his head on Solomon's shoulder. "And I can't go lay down I have the stuff to set up for Alicia." He said grabbing the receipt out of his pocket. He read it over, "Damn I knew I forgot something." He said with a sigh.

Solomon shook his head, "You will rest, or I will chain you to that bed." he chuckled slightly, leaning over slightly so his head just barely touched Holden's, "Alicia will understand why you had to take so long. Please just rest, even if it's for an hour or two."

"Don't get me excited." Holden said with a smile. "I need to shower first I don't wanna get blood anywhere else, and I'll pay for the repairs." Holden said using Solomon to stand up. "Oh god." He said as he straightened up. "You need to rest to Solomon, and then tomorrow you will feed, ok?" Holden asked looking to him.

Solomon didn't make any indication he was going to acknowledge Holden's statement. He would feed when he felt like it..which was rare. "Just take it easy." He hauled himself from the floor, offering to help Holden, "Don't worry about the blood or the damages, I will have it taken care of. Just relax alright?" He gently led Holden to his room, carefully laying him down on the bed smiling slightly.

"I'm fine Solomon." He said as he was laid on the bed. "I wish I could say that I've been through worse but I haven't. Anyway this experience will make me a stronger person." Holden said with a smile looking up at Solomon. "If you wanna sleep with me you can I don't mind." He said trying to get Solomon to rest as well.

Solomon sighed silently to himself. He didn't need to rest, but decided he would placate Holden. He gently set himself down on the bed, facing Holden with a slight smile, "You wouldn't be offended if I didn't feed from you, correct? I just don't want to weaken you."

"Offended no, I would rather fed from me though." Holden said barely able to stay awake. He blinked his eyes to stay awake. "I'm sure you have noticed but I don't mind much." Holden said with a weak smile.

Solomon kissed Holden passionately on the lips for just a brief moment, "Shh, just sleep Holden." He smiled letting his forehead touch Holden's as he closed his eyes, going into a light sleep.

Holden sat there and watched Solomon for a few minutes, before he fell into a deep sleep.
*** "No, no, no, no!" Holden yelled waking up from a sound sleep. "Shit." He said as he grabbed his knees. Holden looked at Solomon. |
Solomon was awake the entire time. He frowned, kissing Holden on the forehead, "What's wrong Holden?"

"It was just a nightmare Holden, just a nightmare." He said trying to calm himself down. He noticed Solomon was awake, he pulled himself together. "You remember that woman you were arguing with when we were still in Connecticut? Her name is Jaclynn," He sighed. "In my dream she killed you because of me. How did I know her name? I never knew her name, I never... How do I know her name Solomon?" Holden asked scared.

Solomon put his arm around Holden, pulling his body close, "I've mentioned her around you before Holden. Just relax. Alright?" He gave him another kiss, this time on the lips, "How's your back feeling?"

"Umm my back is ok, I don't remember you telling me her name." Holden said still confused. "How are you feeling?" He asked more concerned about Solomon, then himself. "Do you know if Alicia is back? Shit the ice cream is melted by now. And it was her favorite." Holden said a little angry.

"I never directly told you, I was talking with Alicia when you overheard." He smiled, trying to put Holden at ease. He knew something was wrong, and he knew Jaclynn was behind it. "Alicia?"

"I... I..." Holden stopped he didn't wanna argue. He leaned on Solomon to help comfort himself.
"I know Solomon I felt it. To answer you next question I didn't tell him about Jaclynn. I didn't know Jaclynn could bend people's dreams." Alica said as she laid on the couch in the living room. |
"I had a feeling she could.." Solomon closed his eyes with a sigh. He didn't want to deal with this anymore. He was exhausted, he needed to feed; and soon, and Holden could never catch a break. "And it's all my fault." He hadn't realized that his expression was displaying his thoughts like an open book. He was just..too tired to care.
