Jaelynn paused a moment, a few yards back, "I don't really know Seth.. We can't just tell her, that'd be too much to handle. I guess we just play it by ear. You should speak first, since she already knows you."
Elysia was confused as they stopped. After a second, she slid off her stood, heading over. "Is something wrong Seth? You look..pale. And who's this lovely lady?" She smiled slightly, holding out her hand, "My name's Elysia LaShalla, pleasure to meet you." Jaelynn was surprised as she came over, "Not what I had planned." She smiled back slightly, taking the woman's hand and shaking it gently, "Jaelynn Antinori; likewise." Jaelynn shivered a bit as she touched Elysia's mind, quickly pulling her hand back, "Ah, er...sorry..static shock." |
"Nothing's wrong." Seth said a little flummoxed. "What is she? I can't get a read on her at all." Seth thought to himself. "What's wrong?" Seth asked Jaelynn when he saw her pull away. Seth adjusted his eye's to look at her aura. "Its a light red." Seth thought a little surprised. "Light red is her aura Jaelynn." Seth said as he readjusted his eye's.

"Nothing..I'm alright..Get ready, I may have..perhaps broken a little barrier in her mind? I found a dark spot in her memories and gave it a..knock so to say. I don't know what's inside this spot, but we'll soon find out. What do we do if it is her?"
Elysia yanked her hand back as well, a dazed look coming upon her face. An image of a white haired woman wearing a torn blue and white dress flashed in her mind, white hot flames surrounding her. Her eyes widened slightly as she suddenly felt as if she was burning,"Somethings..wrong.." |
"I don't know, hope she doesn't kick our asses." Seth grabbed Elysia because she stumbled backwards. "Are you all right?" He asked as he felt something, like stuff was being pulled out of his head. He quickly helped her gain her balance and let go.
"When you shook her hand did you feel like stuff was being pulled from your head? I don't think she was doing it on purpose I think its subconsciously." Seth asked as he looked at Jaelynn. He caught whiff on something, something familiar. "Serus is in there I smelled her." Seth said with wide eye's. |
Jaelynn nodded, kneeling down, peering around at the nearly empty carnival, "I did, that's why I pulled my hand away. Not to mention I could sense stress coming from her. I think she could see something as well.I'm keeping everyone unaware of what's going on. It's up to you to make sure her mind stays stable. I'm a bit tired from helping your daughter." She placed a hand on Elysia's forehead, she was burning up. "Don't get too excited Seth. I have no idea how this will affect her. We may loose her forever, memory wise. I can only replace them, not..her, so to say."
Elysia began to shake, her heart racing and her lungs burning as she gasped for air. Thousands of images and scenes flashed before her eyes, and the farther back in time they went, the more violent they became. She just couldn't process it all. She looked up at Seth, vaguely noting that both him and Jaelynn were in these images. "Who..are you?" |
Seth concentrated to keep her mind stable. "We are here to help you." Seth said still trying to keep her mind from exploding with all of the images she was receiving. "Jaelynn I think you should stop her mind is close to exploding. I'm trying really hard to keep it from doing that." Seth said trying to keep her whole body from going into catastrophic failure. Seth also went into Elysia's mind to help her compartmentalize all of this information. "Jaelynn you need to stop now she's gonna have a brain aneurysm, and I mean literally." Seth said concerned.

Jaelynn nodded, knocking Elysia unconscious and forcing the images back into that little hole in her brain. "I know. We need to take her with us, you get her back to my manor, I'll deal with her boss." She stood with a sigh and walking off.
Even while she was unconscious, the images she had already experienced playing before her again and again, but at a more..comprehensible way. She writhed a bit, her face mildly contorted with the strange images flashing by. |
Seth grabbed Elysia before she fell to the ground. "Jaelynn do you have enough power to get back?" Seth asked as she started to walk off. Seth walked to a spot where he could teleport without anyone seeing him. While walking he blocked people's minds so they wouldn't see him carrying Elysia. Seth found a spot with no one around and teleported back to Jaelynn's. Seth put her on the couch in the study. He quickly teleported to his kitchen to get some blood for him and Jaelynn. He teleported back to the study and Elysia was still there knocked out. He poured himself a glass of blood and drank it down, still waiting for Jaelynn to get back.

Jaelynn waved it off as Seth asked, "Of course I do!" She weaved through the fair, searching for what would be pinned as the main tent. "Ahh..well, here we go."
Elysia was out for only a few minutes until a shocking image woke her up. "No! Don't!" she yelled out, quickly curling up in a tight ball, the image very clear in her mind. She was breathing heavily, trying to banish the scene from her mind. After a moment, she sat up, looking around to find Seth standing only a few feet away. "I..I know you.." Shaking slightly, she stood, walking over to him. Soon she was right in front of him, looking up at him. When she spoke, her voice had that familiar ring of Serus to it, "I've never..seen your face..this clearly before. Only..reflections or memories from another." She reached out to touch his face, but fell to her knees. "What is going on? Someone please tell me." |
Seth was startled a little bit when Elysia yelled out. "Are you.." Seth started to say when she got up off of the couch. He caught her as she fell to her knees. "We are trying to help you remember." Seth said looking into her eye's. He saw Serus in there but not fully. "Elysia does the name Serus mean anything to you now?" Seth asked hoping she'd say yes. He didn't give her time to answer.
"Maybe I can help you even more." Seth said as he gently caressed her cheek. He lifted her head up and gently placed a kiss on her lips. While he was kissing her he went into her mind to explore the dark spot Jaelynn was talking about. He broke the kiss when he felt Jaelynn coming back. He stood her up and gingerly walked her back to the couch. "Serus is defiantly behind that black spot, but how do we break open that black spot without killing her?" Seth thought to himself as he sat her down on the couch. |
Elysia was about to answer him when suddenly he kissed her. Before she could retort and break the kiss, or do anything else, he stopped and started to usher her towards the couch. "Excuse me!?" She flailed around, forcing Seth to hold her tightly by the waste, off the ground in a slightly horizontal position. "Just who do you think you are!? Let me go! Heellloo!? Can you not hear me? Are stupid? I said 'let me go!' you dim-witted sack!" She flailed around, letting out a scream of frustration, unable to break free.
Jaelynn had appeared in her study at the wrong time. She appeared sitting in her chair, one leg crossed over the other as she watched the scene unfold. She was slightly amused, but frowned nonetheless. If this kept up, she might have to permanently block the memories and erase this moment of time from her mind. And that, she definitely did not want to do. She remained silent, deciding to let Seth handle this. Suddenly, she went limp, staring at the ground. "...I've called you that before. No..wait..not sack..lump of flesh..." She nervously combed her hair with her hands, her body tensing slightly. "I don't understand what's going on. Why won't you tell me?" She looked up at him. her red eyes pleading. |
"That's from when we first met." Seth thought to himself as he was getting hit. "Damn it! Fine I'll tell you." Seth said a little enraged. "The thing is we know who you really are." Seth said with a quick breath. "Your really not Elysia LaShalla your really Serus Antinori." Seth said as he sensed Jaelynn. "So your just going to sit there and do nothing Jaelynn?" Seth said slightly peeved. "That kiss brought back the lump of flesh comment from when we first met eight years ago." Seth said letting go of her. He turned around and walked towards the desk combing through his hair with his fingers. He turned around wanting to say something but didn't.

Jaelynn smiled slightly, "Of course. This isn't my fight. you kissed her. And yelling at her like that, a bit over the top, but perhaps necessary. Yes?" She leaned over to look at the woman, "And there's so much more, but let's see how she handles this first."
Elysia stood there, watching him silently. I still don't understand. I was told my name was Elysia...why would the doctors lie to me? She finally noticed Jaelynn, "Ah! Where the heck did you come from!? You...teleported." She said after a moment. Something was nagging her in the back of her mind, yet if she tried to focus on it, it went away. Jaelynn stood, "That I did, Serus. Now listen to me...very closely. Understand?" She walked over as the woman nodded, "I'm going to do something quite shocking to you. I'm hoping it will help you remember." She gently swept some of her hair from her neck, placing her index finger on her forehead, "I'm going to release that dark spot in your mind, but I will control it for you. Bear with me, I will also help you store them." Elysia tensed, something about these two was way off. Suddenly it hit her as Jaelynn touched her, "V..vampire?" She got no response, or if she did, she didn't hear it. Memories played in fast forward, certain images lingering longer than others. As she viewed these a third time, things started to make sense. She grabbed Jaelynn's shoulder as she absorbed the details, "I think..." After some silence, she rubbed her eyes a bit, pulling out the damn contacts. Her dark red-brown eyes scanned the room, resting on Jaelynn for a moment. She gently grabbed a bit of Jaelynn's hair, letting her fingers comb through it. Suddenly, she dodged past Jaelynn, jumping at Seth, grabbing his hands firmly, "I can actually see you..." She paused, "Seth Augustin! I recognize that name. I met you outside a tea shop..." She looked up at him with hopeful eyes, "And..there was this man..that irritated you..umm.." She was silent as she tried to recall the name, but could not. |
"I was trying to help her." Seth said looking at Jaelynn. "A tea shop in Washington, yes." Seth said scanning Elysia or Serus he wasn't sure yet. "His name was Cecil. I defeated him in a duel to take over my coven." Seth said hopeful as well. "What else do you remember Serus?" Seth asked hoping for more that would lead her back to where they were before she died.

She jumped a bit, remembering Cecil and the battle, "Yes! Cecil! That means...where's Felix?" She glanced around, but did not find him. She looked back to Seth, "This..woman...she has white hair and eyes like ice." She paused a moment, "Layla..I remember.." She let him go and hurrying out of the room and down the hall.
"Serus! Where are you going?" Jaelynn hurriedly followed her, knowing Seth was right behind her. She found her in her old room, staring into the secret room where she once held Layla. Jaelynn frowned, stepping aside so Seth could enter first. She started into the room with a frown, "I..kept her here..studying her. I wanted to know..things. I don't exactly remember.." She took a hesitant few steps into the room, gasping. "Oh my god..." She fell to her knees, tears rolling down her cheeks. "Fire..all I see is white fire...and it hurts. Make it stop!" She hugged herself tightly, "You promised me you wouldn't go after her! Why did you lie to me?" She stood, whirling around, glaring at the two, "This is all your fault! If you would've kept your promise, perhaps I wouldn't have been killed! What were you thinking?" She clenched her fists, but after a moment, she let out a heaving sigh, leaning on the wall for support, hold her head in her hand. |
"Serus!" Seth yelled as he went running after her. They found her in her old room. Seth walked in when Jaelynn stepped aside. "Serus we were hoping to beat her before anything bad happened to you." Seth said stepping into the secret room. "We loved you, we didn't want to see you get hurt." He said as he stood in front of her. "If you want to you can kick my ass like you did when we first met." Seth said with a halfhearted smile.

Jaelynn leaned on the door, watching them with her arms crossed. She wanted to say something, but felt that she would be interfering with Seth. He seemed to be doing alright.
She shook slightly, "You should've known that you couldn't take her on alone. She was too strong." She took a calming breath, helping herself to the floor before she fell. "Are you kidding? You could break me in half without any effort. I'm only human here." She sighed deeply, hitting her head on the wall a few times, "I can't believe this. I had no idea this would work, I was only grasping at straws when I dispelled my spirit. I wish..that I could have my old self back. I can never related to..my kind again. I no longer have the advantage being a witch gave me." She ran her hands through her long white hair, "A whole part of me is missing, and it can never be replaced." Finally Jaelynn chimed in, "Your strength did not come from you being a witch before hand Serus. I had been examining you very closely, ever since I turned. True, you may have been able to have a few extra..tricks up your sleeves, but your strength was not affected. I know it's rather soon Mistress, but..." Oh no..she has that tone..and she called me 'Mistress'. I know what she's going to ask... "You have to make a major decision right now." She sighed, pausing for a moment. "You have to decide how you want to live your life." |
"I killed Layla." Seth said as he bent down to look her in the eyes. "Serus I would never hurt you." Seth said with a smirk.
"Daddy are you ok?" Annemarie asked. "Yes I am hunbun. Why what's wrong?" Seth said concerned. "Nothing daddy its just you haven't slept yet and you get cranky when you don't sleep." She said with a smile. "Ill be fine hunbun ok? How about you get cleaned up and I'll take you out to breakfast." Seth said looking at Serus intently. "That sounds like fun daddy." She said as she got up to get ready. "Ill be there within an hour ok hunbun?" Seth said with a slight sad look on his face. "Ill still love you no matter what you choose." Seth said smiling. "I'm gonna have to go soon, Anne is hungry and there's no human food at my house." Seth said to Jaelynn. |
Serus was overwhelmed, "You? Ah, I don't want to know. I've had enough for today. Just..let..me..sl.." She was out before she could finish her sentence. She was simply exhausted due to all that happened. It wasn't much, physically, but mentally it was insane.
Jaelynn walked over, "You go, I'll handle her. Oh, don't introduce Annemarie to her yet. I'll let you know when I think it's safe. Alright? Oh! And do not tell her about Serus either. I can keep her from finding the information on accident though." She picked Serus up gently, and took her over to her bed, setting her down and covering her up. "While you're at it, see if you can bring something for her. She'll be starving when she wakes up." |
"Ok, and I wasn't planning on it for awhile, I wont." Seth said as he moved out of Jaelynn's way. "I will bring her something." Seth said as he teleported to his house. "Hunbun are you ready to go?" Seth asked standing outside of his room.
"In a s second daddy." Annemarie said as she put on her favorite dress. "Ok." Seth said as he looked at his watch. Serus will probably be asleep for a few hours." Seth thought to himself as the door opened. "I'm ready to go daddy." She said as she looked up at him. "Well let's go." Seth said as he picked her up. "Where are we gonna go?" She asked tilting her head. "Just a little place that's around here." Seth said as he teleported themselves by the side of a restaurant. "Daddy you don't seem sad anymore." She said with a smile. "I haven't been sad." Seth said as he opened the door. "Yes you have." She said as he put her down. "Whatever you say hunbun." Seth said with a smile. "You can order what ever you want." Seth said looking at the menu. |
Jaelynn sighed as she sat down in a chair, rubbing her temples. This was just plain old crazy. She didn't understand it. Why had Serus lost her memory? With another sigh, she stood, heading out of the room. She needed to feed.
She walked around town until she found someone acceptable. Using a bit of power, she lured the boy into an ally where she drank about half of his blood. She left him sitting on the ground as she teleported back to Serus's room. |
Seth and Annemarie finished eating he was about to say something as the server came over. "Do you need anything else?" She said
"Can I get an order of pancakes and bacon to go please?" Seth asked. "Sure." The lady said as she went to place the order. "Who's that for daddy?" Annemarie asked. "Oh there's someone staying at Jaelynn's house." Seth said blocking his mind so she couldn't read it. "Is this person nice?" She asked as she noticed that he was really happy. "Yes the person is." Seth said with a smile. "Your gonna have to spend the day with Felix, is that ok hunbun?" Seth asked as the server came back with the bill. "Why can't I see aunt Jaelynn?" She asked kind of sad. "Me and Jaelynn have some things to do with the council." Seth said as he paid the bill. "Oh that doesn't sound fun daddy." She said as she finished her orange juice. "That's why you are gonna spend the day with Felix." Seth said with a chuckle. The server came back with the food for Serus. "Thank you ma'am." Seth said with a smile. "Your welcome sir, you two have a nice day." She said with a nod and walked away. "You ready to go hunbun?" Seth asked ready to get up. "Yes I am daddy." She said as she got up. "Let's go then." Seth said as he got up. He grabbed the food and picked up Annemarie. "Ok daddy." Annemarie said as Seth picked her up. Seth walked out to where they first teleported to. Seth gathered up his power and teleported to the study in his home where Felix was. "Hello Felix." Seth said as he appeared. "Hello sir and hello Annemarie." Felix said kind of startled. "Can you do me a favor old man?" Seth asked as he put Annemarie down. "What's that sir?" Felix asked. "Can you watch Annemarie cause I have stuff to do about the council." Seth said as he gathered his power again. "Of course I can sir." Felix said with a smile. "Ok hunbun be good for Felix." Seth said as he placed a kiss on her forehead. "I will daddy, be safe." She said as she ran up to a bookshelf to look for a book. "I will. See you later Felix." Seth said as he smiled at Annemarie. Seth teleported to Jaelynn. "How is she doing." Seth said as he placed the bag of food down on the dresser. |
Jaelynn jumped slightly as Seth suddenly appeared. She was so deep in thought she didn't sense that someone was teleporting to the room. She sighed, "She seems alright. I haven't noticed anything extreme in her brain waves. How she'll be when she wakes up, I'm unsure."
She hurriedly stood, hearing her move, but relaxed seeing she had just rolled over. She sighed, running her hands through her pale hair, "I'm loosing my mind here. Every time I hear her move or make a sound, I just can't help but become scared." She clenched her fists, strangling the air, "These next few days are going to be very testy.." |
"That's good, and I'm sure shell be fine." Seth said as Jaelynn rushed over to Serus' bed. "Jaelynn I think you should take a break from watching her, go take a nap or do something I can take over for you." Seth said as he walked up to her and put his hand on her shoulder. "Trust me everything will be fine." Seth said giving her a reassuring smile.

She shook her head, "I won't be able to sleep, I know that much for sure...but I do have other things to do today. Keep me posted, alright?" She sighed, then disappeared.

"I will." Seth said as he sat down in the chair Jaelynn was sitting in. "Hopefully she will be back to her old self within no time." Seth thought as he pulled out a pen and paper from his pocket. "I need to address my coven soon letting them know that I'm back in charge." He thought as he started to write down what he was gonna say. He saw Serus move but he didn't rush up to her. He read her mind to make sure she was ok.
"She's still doing ok Jaelynn." Seth said as he went back to writing. After an hour of writing he was finally done with what he was gonna say. "Attention all Augustin members I am back in charge of the coven. I want to thank Felix for taking over for me when I went on a hiatus. I feel that Felix did a good job and that he should be commended." Seth said as Serus woke up. "Serus are you ok?" Seth asked worriedly. "Jaelynn Serus is awake." Seth said as he got up and walked over to her bedside. "Why was daddy talking so loud?" Annemarie asked Felix as she put her book down. "He just wanted to make sure everyone heard him." Felix said with a smile. "Well I did hear him." She said as she picked up her book and began reading again. "So did I, so did I." Felix said as he went deep into his thoughts. |
After a few hours she quietly opened her eyes, laying on her side, watching Seth quietly. It was only a few minutes before he noticed she was awake. She rolled on her back, lifting up her left arm, "I almost..miss it." She turned her head to look at him, "Eight years huh?"
Jaelynn tensed slightly as Seth announced Serus woke up, "How is she?" Kitra narrowed her eyes slightly, "Is everything alright Jaelynn? Why'd you stop speaking?" Jaelynn flinched a bit, "Ah! Right, sorry, I got..distracted. But, uh, as I was saying.." The woman laughed slightly, "Relax dear, I got kicked off my seat years ago. You don't have to be so uptight around me." Jaelynn relaxed, running her hands through her hair, "Anyway, I think..I discovered something important. I want to tell you, but I'm unsure if I can. I know I can trust you, you and your coven help the Antinori's so much after Serus's death and in the process we've become good friends." She took a breath, "But this new information is highly sensitive. I don't know what I should do..." |
"She seems fine but a little out of it right now but that could be because she just woke up." Seth said as he heard Serus talk. "Ya it's been eight years." Seth said as he sat on the corner of the bed. "Oh I brought you some food. It's probably cold by now but I can go warm it up for you if you want." Seth said as he went to grab the bag. Seth walked back to the bed and sat down "I wonder if I should tell her about Annemarie." Seth thought to himself as he looked at Serus.

Kitra tilted her head slightly, "What are you talking about? Jaelynn, what's going on?"
Jaelynn leaned in close, manipulating her voice so Kitra was the only one who could hear her, "I think..Serus is alive." She leaned back, a worried look on her face. Kitra gasped quietly, "What? You know better than to mention her! I mean, jeez the council wiped her from history. If the council got wind of your accusation..." Jaelynn nodded, pulling at her hair slightly, "I know, I know..but I swear to you, this woman is her. She had a custom hat, almost exactly the same as hers made, she's only 23 and her hair is rose white, and she even went and changed her last name to LaShalla." She leaned back, taking a sip from the coffee mug, her hands shaking slightly, "I..I don't know what to do Kitra. She..she can't rejoin us, the Council would sentence the entire Coven to death for it. What do I do?" Kitra gently put her hand on Jaelynn's arm, a sudden feeling of calm would be overcoming her, "Jaelynn, relax. How could this be possible anyway? She couldn't be. We all saw the scene, there's no way she made it through that." She shook her head, putting her hand down, "No thanks..I'm not hungry right now..." Fact of the matter, she was starving, but she just didn't feel like eating. It felt..wrong to her now. She rolled over so her back was facing him. "There's something wrong..otherwise..Jaelynn would not have asked me about how I wanted to live...and you would've turned me hours ago. What's happened since..then?" |
"The council is falling apart." Seth said as he put the food on the floor. "After your... Death, the vampire world went down hill." Seth said trying to ease her into what was going on. "Some humans know about us and some don't." Seth said with a sigh. "It's all my fault to, if I wouldn't of done that outside no one would know." Seth said as he looked at his hands. "If you wouldn't of died, I would of never of met... And never would of had..." Seth said as he broke down. He held his head in his hands and sobbed.
Annemarie looked up. "Daddy's crying." She said with a sad expression on her face. "What do you mean?" Felix said looking at her. "I can feel daddy crying." She said with tears in her eye's. "Its ok Annemarie. I'm sure he's fine." Felix said as he got up to consul her. Sir are you ok?" Felix asked worried about him. |
Jaelynn did feel a bit calmer, "I searched her mind before I confronted her. There's a block on her memories and when I went searching, I found..Se-her memories. Kitra...what happens if it really is her? I know she'll want to come back to our world, but I can't allow her to do that, and neither can Seth, or any vampire for that matter." She was of course, implying that her father might try.
Kitra removed her hand becoming more concerned now, "No she cant..she has to remain human until we can sort out this mess with the Council. I've had some progress though with the Covens. They're beginning to question a few things about the Council. I think, that the last few Raksasha members have an influence on them. My coven is hunting them as we speak. They're not very powerful vampires, or else you would've been able to sense their presence the last time you were in the Hall." She sighed deeply, "If this is true Jaelynn, you must send her away. You can't be near her, especially when she regains her memories. The Council will sense her somehow, I just know it. Either get rid of her permanently, or send her out of the country." Serus frowned slightly, "But why would that happen? If Layla was killed, as well as Dragos, then who was manipulating the Council to break like this?" She was going to ask him about what he meant, but decided she didn't want to know about it. She wrapped her arms around her knees, listening to him cry. |
"I... Don't... Know why." Seth said in between sobs. He took a few minutes to compose himself before speaking again. "We need to get out of the country." Seth said still wiping the tears away from his eye's. "We should go to Europe their council isn't falling apart." Seth said as he stood up and started to pace. "Or we take care of our council." Seth said out loud but to himself. "No that wouldn't work, they are thousands of years old they would murder us." Seth said still pacing.
He stopped and looked at Serus who was looking at him. "I'm sorry." Seth said as he disappeared and reappeared composed. |
Serus sighed as she was left along for a few moments. When Seth returned, she sat up, resting her head on her knees, allowing her hair to cover her face up. "I'm not leaving," she said sternly. "I am going to fix this mess." She straightened up, looking at him, completely serious. "I can't do that as a human though Seth..."
Jaelynn stood quickly, "I have to go. I'm sorry, but.." She was about to teleport when Kitra grabbed her arm, being dragged with her. She appeared in the room with Seth and Serus, quickly throwing Kitra off. She had been monitoring Serus's thoughts and had to make sure Seth did not change her. "I can't allow that Serus.." Kitra fell backwards but quickly stood up. She narrowed her eyes a bit, then gasped as she saw the woman, "No. Fucking. Way." She eyed her carefully, seeing the resemblances, "Oh my Jae, you're right. It's not just coincidence..." |
"What the fuck are you doing here you council piece of shit?!" Seth yelled as he grabbed her by the throat. "Jaelynn you brought her here with you what the fuck." Seth said still strangling the council woman. "It should be Serus' choice if she wants to be changed or not." Seth said not letting up on the woman's throat.

Kitra quickly slapped his arms away, doing a spinning kick and pinning him to the ground, "Relax, boy. I was removed about 5 years ago." She lifted him up a bit and slamming him into the floor a bit, "Now behave." She let him go, standing up and holding her hand out to help him up, "I won't report this either. I was never really a fan of Serus, but she had a way of keeping things in check...even if she did do it behind our backs." She shot the woman a glare.
Jaelynn stepped to the side to avoid Seth, since she was standing fairly close to Kitra. "I know Seth, and I would love for her to rejoin us, but we can't, not until all this crap is sorted out." She sighed, slapping Kitra upside the head a bit, "You break my floor, I break your face." Serus was surprised to see Kitra, and to hear she was removed. "Why would they do that? You were on your way to taking Head chair. What happened?" She threw her legs over the bed, letting her bare feet touch the dark red carpet. |
Seth grabbed the woman's hand and stood up. He felt Annemarie trying to read his mind he stopped her but felt her still doing it. "Stop Annemarie." He said out loud but to himself. "Annemarie Serus Augustin stop trying to read my mind." Seth said sternly.
"But daddy something's wrong, I can tell." She said with a worried look on her face. "I'm fine now stop trying to read my mind." Seth said as he looked at Serus. "Ok daddy." She said with a pout. Seth heard Serus talk about the Head Chair. He felt Annemarie try to read his mind again. "Damn it!" He said as he teleported to Annemarie. "Stop it hunbun ok daddy's in an important meeting and you can't be doing that all of the time." Seth said as he teleported back to Serus' room. |
Kitra frowned, "To tell you the truth, I don't really know myself. I was heading to the meeting, and the guards barred my way and wouldn't let me continue. Then that ass Jordan told me that only council members wer allowed to this particular meeting. I just walked away, no sense in arguing with him about it."
Jaelynn had become annoyed with Annemarie now. She put a strong block around all their minds, forcing Annemarie out of Seth's mind completely, disabling her telepathic link with him. "Now she should leave us alone." she said to Seth. Serus frowned, "Sounds like him." She leaned back on her hands, looking upward so her hair would move away from her face, "So, if I know him as well as I think I do, I'm guessing he 'erased' me from history? Well that's just plain old mean." She stood up, crossing her arms over her chest, staring down both Jaelynn and Kitra, "Now, I don't care what you, or anyone else says, I'm not going to let this slid by. I will rejoin my Coven and bring order to our world. Now, if anyone of you wants to stop me, bring it on." Kitra could not help but burst out laughing, "You could not possibly hope to stop two vampires? My dear, listen to me, it's just best if you let us handle things. Jaelynn is very capable." Serus's mouth dropped, insulted, "Excuse me!? You know darn well I could easily drop your ass." Not! She had no hope of even lasting 2 seconds. But still, she couldn't help but talk like that. |
"Thank you Jaelynn." Seth said as he looked a Jaelynn. Seth stepped next to Serus. "Ill stay here with her to protect her." Seth said worried what Serus would do to him, even though when Jaelynn and this woman leave Seth would turn Serus. "I'm sorry Serus but I agree with them." Seth said looking to Serus and gave her a wink.

Serus gasped, flabbergasted, "Excuse me Seth? You can't possibly--" She placed her hands on her hips glaring up at him, "Of all the vampires I know, you're the last one I expect to be against me. Everywhere I turn I see resistance. First my daughter, and now you?" She pursed her lips, then crossed her arms again. "I don't see the problem here. I'm not a novice at being a vampire, I can hide myself from the council. Jaelynn please, you have to turn me."
Jaelynn frowned, "Seth.." she said as a warning, knowing what his intentions are. "Serus please calm down. I will turn you, as soon as this mess is cleared up. We're making real progress here. If we could get enough Covens to stand behind us, we can disband the Council and re-elect a ethically sound one. Not to mention, Kitra and I would nominate you for Head Chairman. Just give us some time." Serus shut her eyes, shaking her head, "But I can help you Jaelynn. What happened to breaking the rules for my well being? I'm obviously in great danger being a human. What if someone else figures out who I am, now that I've recovered my memories? I was not without other enemies when I died." |
"I..." Seth started to say but stopped. He put his hands behind his back. He cut his left hand and stepped in front of Serus and gave her a wink. He put his cut hand up to her mouth and went for her neck, he bit into her as he felt her tense up. "I'm sorry Jaelynn." Seth said as he was drinking Serus' blood. He felt Serus' heart slow down to almost a halt. He stopped and caught her so she didn't fall to the ground.
