there is a second version that looks better but it is a couple pixels shy of being dirty XD it is my mad queen from the rp i started last night since i have three days off from work and i need a new show-piece for samples of my expensive art

can rem give me pointers on the skirt though? it looks so cartoony but i want to make it look like a playingcard

@Choco - hmmm if you want the skirt to more resemble art on a playing card -- those are usually very 2D appearing, so it'd be like
all one shape, with the details (like ruffles) inside the main shape. Kind of art deco, right?
try making the back one line that goes all the way down, and the front...hm. maybe make the edges of the ruffles on the front sharper?

there actually will not be any ruffles on it, i want to make it all within the box lines of the layers but i mean how can i reconcile the organic shape of the body with the flat-paper shape of the skirt and eventually hat?

let me think on that i'll get back to you cos tha's a toughie
the only thing I can think of is reducing the body to shapes, sharper shapes and turning it more into a 'paper cut out' type of deal

i thought about that but i really dont want to go that way since this is supposed to be a 3d char, even the cards have a /little/ dimension to them though a lot less than the queen the rabbit or the not-yet-introduced alice
