Collin wanted to say... Its Saturday, even his pack doesn't do anything on Saturday. Of course he wanted nothing more then to lazy about though he should probably do it in Jeremy's futon. “I think I'll stick with the thoughts, they make me happy anyways.” Collin found his tail wagged a little as he thought about what happened last night again, it was fun. It reminded him that he had a slave for an entire week. But the thought of his angry parents were enough to rouse him his restful spot. “I can't stay Jeremy.” He said licking his face. “My parents are probably wondering where I am. By now they probably know I bailed Friday.” For the moment forgot that Mr Nichols had wandered back in and gave Jeremy a long well deserving good bye kiss pulling away just as he needed air. He walked passed the man meekly waving by to him with a blush and gathered his things that were abandoned in Jeremys room.
Jeremy pouted but understood. "I'll text then." He would wait for him to be okay then he would allow the week slave thing. He blushed a bit when collin left, watching his tail swish. He'd probably be around whenever he could be. When Collin left, Jeremy filled Kent in on how things happened and opted for a long bath before a shower. He was just glad Kent was understanding, even though he sensed a milk jealousy. He hoped Collin would be all right, since he knew he was not one of the bigger wolves around and would probably be in a bit of trouble.
Collin attempted to sneak back into his house but was ambushed by his brothers, the twins. Cole was the one who actually pounced on him pinning him down so that Casey could give his tail a good tug. “And where has the pup been?” He asked mercilessly attacking Collin. “Mother is worried Father is pissed.” Collin opened his mouth and then shut it hissing at the boys that held him captive. “And you smell like garbage.” He wrinkled his nose. When one rolled off of Collin the other decided to take a seat. “He's lying, Mom left us in charge, they said you have to explain why you ditched school,... but if you don't want them to know about this...” He said slyly. “You'll have to pay us 100 dollars...” “Fine!” Collin shouted attempting to wiggle himself free but his brothers were not finished. “Each, do all the chores and catch dinner tonight. Squirrels do not count and neither do farm animals” Cole looked thoroughly smug at this point. Fuck, Collin mentally shouted hoping that Mr. Nichols was still not reading his thoughts. His brothers really knew how to rub it in. He spent most of the rest of his Saturday doing his brothers chores while being badgered by them about where he was. About two hours before sunset, Collin changed into his wolf form setting out to go hunting for a deer, since it was the last thing he had to do before he was in the clear.
Alex was a little restless come sun down, but he didn't actually want to hunt. He wanted do have a normal life, and the more he thought about it, the more he realized he wanted to have a normal life with Kent. He put on his favorite blazer and this time decided to go with out the hat, adding just glasses to his disguise. He had heard a rumor that a club had become a den for new vampires. The family was angry at another family for letting their bride get murdered. Though they weren't really angry, it just seemed like a decent excuse to take over the territory. |
Jeremy was busy getting a nice massage from Kent, being stiff from sleeping on the floor. He hoped Collin was all right and not being bothered too much.
He was still a bit sore and it hurt to walk quickly. So he mostly just stayed in bed. Kent figured it was best to stay in, keeping his mind alert in case the family was in trouble. He'd been hearing threats from the other clan recently. He hoped nothing bad was going to happen. If so, they would probably be needed. They still hadn't found out any clues to Lexxi's murder either, which is what that mess was mainly about. |
Collin was not coming up with much. Though his brothers said they wanted dinner, they never said what time he actually had to bring it home. So Collin took a break from his hunting, wandering over to Jeremy's house. He transformed back into his human state and threw a rock at his window, while yelling. “Romeo, oh Romeo where for art thou Romeo?” He grinned at his cheesiness.
Alex started stalking the streets during his usual route, when he came near the pub that Kent's family owned he thought about briefly checking inside since the man seemed very attached to his family. His eyes flickered to the shadows of an ally were he saw three men, in conference with each other. Even though a normal person might have missed it, he saw their quick gestures towards the pub, before backing down into the darkness. Alex waited a moment then decided to follow them. |
Jeremy chuckled, opening the window. "That's my line you dolt. At least get it right." He stuck out his tongue playfully. "You just stopping by or coming for a visit?"
Kent was busy honing in on the pub and all participants. He held them dearly. If anything happened to his closer relatives, he'd probably have to hide out more. He wasn't the type to fight back a losing battle. |
Collin just smiled. "hee But soft! What light through yonder window breaks?
It is the East, and Jeremy is the sun!" He said noting the irony. "Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon ." He said being cheeky. "Actually" He bit his lip and then realized he had Jeremy's services for a week."Actually I need your help..." He wasnt sure how to say this so he just sputtered. "I.. I command you to help me find a deer." Alex followed the man and they continued to talk, he was edging close enough to hear them. "We should report back, their pacifist, they wont do anything if we take over even with the power of a lamia." Another on nodded in agreement but the last one seem to differ." no they have some kin like Lexxi, they would fight. We should use them as hunter bait." |
"Hmm alright. But nowhere near the pub. We've been hearing warnings not to go there until the clan disputes are taken care of." Jeremy said as he jumped out the window. "I can't be gone long though." Kent warned him to be back within the hour and stay from the pub. As far away as they could. He listened in trying to decipher any more news of the feud.
Collin rolled his eyes and then remembered he was suppose to be helping Jeremy be a good kid and not a rebel. "I highly doubt there will be deer near the bar. We'll need to head towards the city edge, near the city but not in it." Collin felt that was safe, far enough away from the pub.
"alright, sounds good. But as soon as I spot the deer, you better catch it." Jeremy said as he winced when he walked, still a bit tender. He was all right, but he wouldn't be able to walk too far. "I'm good...had some pills recently." He didn;t want to ask why he was hunting deer anyway.
“Daw but you don't like it fresh from the source any more?” This was good now Collin had a pair of eyes that he could trust instead of his own. “Good the sooner we get this over with the sooner my brothers can be happy.” he explained about his brothers ambush as they left the house. Once out side Collin changed into his wolf form. “Do you think you can keep up?”
"Can't you just let me ride on your back?" Jeremy tested this out, sitting on Collin. "think you could if needed? I can walk part of the way." He couldn't help stroking his ears. "I love your supply. Just the pills are more convenient. Don't want to leave blood scent in case we get caught or something." Jeremy said cautiously. He didn't really see anything wrong with Collin's brothers, just that they liked to pick him to do everything cause he was younger.
If it were possible, Collin attempted to make a sound like a horse but it most likely only came out as growl. “alright, but hang on tight, this wolf moves pretty fast.” He tested out moving a couple of paces, and when Jeremy was still hanging on to him, he launched into a full run. Speeding past the houses on the block into the city, but careful to avoid the pub like he was asked to. Soon they were in another industrial district and just beyond that were woods. “Tell me when you see anything” He said since his nose was getting strange smells. He smelled blood and lots of it, which was strange for this part of the woods.
"I assume you smell that too. I don't see any in sight yet." Jeremy looked around for a sign of something. He wasn't sure if it was a good idea to follow the scent or try and avoid it. Though it might mean deer were around or not. It could be something he hoped it wasn't. He didn't want to see his almost-cousins around not there.
Alex followed the mysterious men, they seemed to be making a retreat into the industrial district of town. He could feel a rush of excitement crawl down his spine, he was finally going to find the nest he had been searching for for days. He sent a message to his fellow hunter telling him about what he found. He didn't realize that when he texted all his contacts, that included Kent as well.
Collin idly sniffed the ground, beneath the scent of blood he could pick up the deer tracks. He started to drift the that direction. It seemed the deer and its family were simply streaming along side the city. He stopped when the trail simply vanished right beside a building. An unfamiliar howl made from a humans throat rang through the night time air. Out of the shadows dropped a pale man with a devilish snerk. Collin couldn't tell but the mans eyes were completely blacked out. The howl was soon joined by another and another until at least half a dozen bodies surrounded Jeremy and Collin. The leader licked his lips eyeing both of the boys. “Its the Lamia” One of them hissed. “And a doggie treat” |
Kent was napping on the couch until his phone vibrated. He looked at the text, a bit confused to say the least. He needed some answers but first honed in on where Jeremy was. It was where his cheap 'whore' was going. He got his coat and flew off to catch up. He stayed hidden amongst the trees.
Jeremy cursed, looking around for any possible escape. He saw no way out, biting his lip and cursing. He stroked Collin as they were getting cornered. What he didn't know was that help was unexpectedly nearby. Kent was an acre away. |
Alex saw where the shadows were going, he even noticed the building but there was something else that entertained the guards. They had surrounded an individual and his dog, and that person looked to be Jeremy. He didn't have much time to reason why he was out this late on this side of town. In a swift running motion, Alex pulled out one of his stakes and lunged for the nearest vampire while his attention was on the boy. With a loud yell he burst into dust after Alex twisted the stake into his heart.
Collin didn't need to be told anything twice, as soon as the mysterious man attacked one of the vampires he went into defense mode as it seem they all the idea to try and capture Jeremy. He sunk his teeth into one, protectively snapping its neck so that it wouldn't harm him. |
Jeremy was on guard, ready in case anyone sidestepped the two. He somehow wondered who the person was, not being able to fully tell. Kent watched from afar until an opportune moment struck. He went behind Jeremy, guarding against the other clan. They weren't even supposed to be around, this was their family's territory up until the lake. He didn't know who the helpful stranger was but he was on guard anyway, piercing through a few hearts.
Alex had taken two more down but not with out sustaining injuries. He was working his way towards another group of two secretly thankful for the boys dog, since it seemed to know how to attack things. Another man showed up and Alex thought it was his back up. He continued to steak the vampires even getting the ones that were injured by the dog. He left the leader alive for questioning. Making a gesture for the kid to run.
Jeremy noticed the point of escape, running off until he was out of sight. He stayed in one of the trees on one of the higher branches, waiting for Kent and Collin...and whoever that other person was. Kent stayed, waiting to see what was going in. He also needed to figure out why the others were in their territory to begin with, without seeming like he would be bait too.
Collin knew that smell, but in an instant his mind was on something else. He followed behind Jeremy turned back into his human form and found himself hiding in the tree as well. 'Dude if you can hear my thoughts I am so sorry' he felt bad for dragging Jeremy out on his brothers stupid quest.
Of course the lacky was trained not to talk. If Alex wanted answers he would have to go into the din. Seeing that the people were off to safety he staked the last vampire was doing his best to get away from Alex. He turned to see who his help was not recognizing him from the family. “Thanks, I think we'll have to wait for my father and the ...” He stopped realizing it was Kent. “What are you doing here?” |
Jeremy came to the same branch, petting Collin as if to say it was all right. They probably would have tried to grab him eventually. Kent was caught off guard, recognizing the voice. "This is my family's territory...They are not supposed to be here. We have a contract to uphold. Strictly business...plus you texted me probably accidentally." Kent didn't say more than that. "What are you doing?"
Collin nuzzled the hand and thought 'that doesn't save me from not bringing home dinner, I gotta run I will call you later' he gave Jeremy a quick kiss before silently sliding out of the tree and disappearing into the darkness.
"my job" he said pulling the stake out of the pile of ashes that were once a vampire. He smacked himself on the head. "That was meant for my father, and the rest of the hunters...What do you mean your territory?" Alex narrowed his eyes staring at Kent. |
Jeremy understood, watching him run off. He watched from the trees now, watching Kent and what seemed to maybe be someone he knew. He didn't dare read their thoughts in case the other clan was still close by.
"Oh." Kent said quietly, he kind of had a slight realization kick in which explained the scent at his place. "Our family owns this land, we've recently been warned of a bunch of 'pests' roaming around where they do not belong." He said still really quietly. He was on guard, hoping to not be lunged at anytmie soon. |
Alex felt himself relax just a tiny bit. He wondered exactly how much land Kents family owned, a pub probably something in Canada and now this area and yet his family didn't give him a car. That was highly amusing. He put his stake up. He was trying to think of a way to explain to Kent that he didn't just commit murder. "Well you don't have to worry anymore though you should probably get back to the pub. They were watching it for some reason" He said scratching his hair. There was a flash of light, and a man with the same build as Alex stepped out of the shadows. Unlike Alex he had snow white hair and an eye patch. His skin was also peachier. He gave Alex a nod before flicking a glance over to Kent. Alex left Kent for a moment, instructing his father and came back to Kent. "Come on, we need to get out of here and find that kid and his dog." He said dragging the man into the darkness. There was no telling how many vampires were still left in the woods.
(( XD And that was Alex's father )) |
Kent nodded. He knew Jeremy was around there still, thinking he should go up ahead a bit into the outskirts of the town and where the trees ended. Jeremy met them that far. Collin was probably off doing something or other. He hoped he'd be alright. Kent figured they should head out, not to the pub since it was probably not safe. "The pub isn't the safest right now. Should probably head on home." He would also come clean there probably. He knew of the other job now and figured he could be a little more honest as well, if it didn;t kill him.
Alex felt an odd sense of relief after finding out the boy was Jeremy and he was safe. He drove the two back to their house. Once inside he wondered about the strange dog. "What happened to the dog?" he asked once he was inside. "And why were those pest on your land?" He turned his last question to Kent.
Jeremy looked a little confused. "dog? Oh...right. He's off back where he's supposed to be. He's more of a stray." He didn't want to blow Collin's cover. Kent gulped for a moment, going to lock the door as a precaution. He also wanted all cell and communication devices on the table. He shunned Jeremy to his room for now as Jeremy gave him a good luck. "remember when I told you Lexxi was engaged...it was with one of them. They've overstepped their boundaries and broke the code of our pact." He looked down, still finding it hard to admit everything.
Alex found himself letting out a sigh, “That is probably my fault.” He looked around the kitchen taking a seat and wishing he had drink to buffer himself from the truth “Kent, I am not sure if you find this hard to believe but your cousin was a vampire. Its my job to keep the streets clean and she killed a man.” he felt horrible that his actions had started some kind of feud between his family and another. “If they were threatening you, you should have come to us in the first place, vampires are a lot like mobsters but we can take them.” He looked at Kent with worried eyes, hoping he didn't put his family in too much trouble.
"That would be funny right now if I was actually human like you're assuming. Of course we knew, that's how she got into the family." He sighed, talking almost like a whisper now. "sorry I haven't been more honest, but how can I be safe otherwise." He went to the sink, filling a glass with water. He placed two of the pills in it and waited for them to dissolve before sitting back down, sighing and looking at the floor.
Alex listen but the words didn't quite sink in not yet. They repeated over and over in his mind, then suddenly he sprang from his chair with his stake in his hand. It was really a reflex and the sudden realization that he wanted to sleep with his sworn enemy. There were a range of conflicting emotions that ran across his face and for once Alex didn't know what to do. "Your no diabetic and neither is Jeremy" He said at last feeling very dirty.
Kent shook his head. "no. But unlike those you hunt. We have other ways to get what we need. We're taught in the family to not attack any living thing. That's why we use these pills or the hospital's blood bank. Usually just what they have too much donated." He stayed seated and couldn't look him in the eye just yet. "Apparently the other clan had something they wanted to do with Jeremy or me for that matter. I don't care what this job of yours is. Just glad it gets rid of those who give us a bad name." He said a little, trembling. Jeremy had been listening in on the whole thing, contemplating whether to go in there or not. He texted Collin to let him know he was all right...at least for now.
He wanted to believe Kent, but his instincts said not to, besides there was the proof of Lexxi. Unfortunately he could not just stake Kent and be done with it. He was a teacher, people would start asking questions if he just didn't show up for work.Though his did explain his bad taste in sun glasses, and the fact that he liked to show movies all the time. "There is no such thing as a good name for vampires" He said trying to keep his voice very calm. "How can you and Jeremy go out in the day light?"
"hmm well that's kind of where you're wrong. Since quite a few of us in the clan are much more. We were never turned, we were always this way. Our true name is Lamia. Unlike those losers who got bitten and turned, we can do much more than they ever could. We can go out, but we'll get weak after a short amount of time. Unlike them, we can also consume your food but it doesn't really do anything as we still need our own diet's needs. Via the pills or fresher stuff." Kent looked up a little, still not giving him direct eye contact.
"That only makes you non vampire in name, a different breed" He said solemnly, they still drank blood that was enough to warrant them a monster. Alex rose from his seat not meeting Kent's gaze. He needed to inform his family about this so called feud, the Lamia and what not to see what they wanted to do. Of course he would keep his information source hidden for now but he just couldn't talk to Kent anymore, not with out thinking it through. Alex left the house, if they were powerful vampires they should be able to defend themselves, at the moment he wanted a very, very long shower.
Kent sighed, knowing the truth would have been revealed at some point. He figured they were safe since they didn't eat just anything like Lexxi. She was a lowlife unlike them so she got what was coming to her. He decided to go for a shower, letting Jeremy do as he wished so long as he stayed inside. He felt a bit hurt, but that was his own fault too. He had to live a lie to survive so he did what he did. Jeremy just stayed and texted Collin what went down, not sure if everything would be alright or not.
Alex partly felt like a bad guy but then mostly just lost. This was why his father warned him about getting close to people. As Alex entered his apartment he saw Stacy coming out on her way to work. She saw his long face and could almost immediately guess what was wrong. "He came clean about the HIV didn't he?" She asked giving him a quick hug.
Collin made it back to his home really late, dragging a buck to his home from the other side of town was really hard especially when he was tired from the attack. Both his brothers gaped at him. It was Cole that took the animal away from him "Dude you have to stop thinking so literally we were joking" He tried to tease. Casey interjected "we were worried about you and your phone has been ringing all night." Any more questions by his brothers were not answered as Collin read text after Text. So he was right, it was Mr. Royson. |
Kent would wait for either the school day or if he'd call. Either way, he probably would keep his distance until his thoughts were clear. He sobbed a little, stopping after a few minutes, thinking it was stupid to cry.
Jeremy sighed, making a last text for the night before he'd get a shower and some much needed rest. 'miss you...Kent's a bit depressed. Who can blame either of them for being that way though. Something may work out but either way. I'm going to have a shower and get some sleep. Night <3' He chuckled to himself as to how he texted. |
In a zombie like fashion, Collin walked to the kitchen with his eyes glued to his phone. He let his brothers figure out what to do with the dead meat, he preferred human food. He grabbed himself something microwavable and while it was heating up he texted back -Im sure Mr Royson will come around, after all Kent got him to show a movie in class. -snerk- have fun in the shower, well try not to have to much fun. And Sweet dreams- he sent back.
"Something like that" He said not bothering to tell her the truth. As soon as he was inside he fell on his seat. While he was with Kent his father left him a voice mail. The vampires were still in the city and the den had been cleared out. |
Jeremy would check the text after his shower. He only had a short one before getting some pills and heading to bed. 'I didn't. How could I without my pet around? ;3. Ha! yeah that is true. Well he should come around since it's not like we attack humans.' He rolls into bed, going to sleep after that. He slept peacefully for the next 12 hours.
Kent did the same as Jeremy, showering then heading to bed. He was mentally drained and didn't sleep well. He'd tossed and turned into the morning. Eventually he got up to get the school schedule worked out so he could focus on something else, until he thought about him being at the school too. |
