I'm just remaking a ton of my older designs because I can't think of anything new I want to design at the moment. :/
But I am retooling some of my older designs and making them slightly different for experimentation purposes. I have noticed that I'm slightly better but my stuff looks very pillowy and a little less flat. I still suck at regular clothing though and basic shading.

I remember why I stopped pixeling for the longest time, I was stuck and no one could help show me what I was doing wrong because they couldn't take one item and fixed it so I had a better reference to what I was doing wrong. Lucid's guide is still very iffy with me because I wasn't able to see the process of it being made, along with the guide.

The only thing I see that could use some work is the reworked feather, it still looks a bit flat but I think if you make the contrast a bit more for the shading there it should look better. :3

Thank you! I actually did mine in grayscale than in color, and it was already. I need to get used to it if they hire me at all. I have high hopes but then again I'm trying to ignore it haha.

I love how the feathers on the hip and arm look! But the ones on the head doesn't look like that! D: Work your magic and make them look the same. XD

Could I offer a tad bit of friendly critique or help? C:
On the belt I noticed it's just a simple outline. Perhaps instead of using all black, you could use colors a bit darker than the shade inside for each area of the basic line art. Something you always want to do with the lighting on line art is where it hits the light. I try not make all of the line art one basic color, because the light hits those areas too.

Hai! So basically when you sketch, or line whatever you're drawing, you shade whatever you color inside of it, yes?
Sometimes it looks better when you shade the line art according to what you color inside of it as well.
Of course, you want the people to know that the shape is still there, so instead of using one solid black line as a belt outline, you shade the outline a tad darker than the areas inside. Say you were to use white for the inside. You'd want to use a very light, light gray for the outline in that white area.
I hope that makes better sense. ^^'

Recently I was harassed by two users on there and at this point... I mean the admins there promised me they'd do something about it but haven't done anything, I never even got a response, soo....

At least it was no where like Solia Online, I was bashed around by admins 24/7. You say one bad thing about a admin or even stating "Our admins have been rather rude." BAN HAMMER. Terrible site, great pixels and community. Just the people running the site (except for the artists) were simply terrible people in general.

That's a shame. And Gaia is cute, but.... The money eating machine kind of made me avoid it.

Yeah, ban hammers were another reason why I was scared to join forums. ^^; And if someone ticks me off enough I do flip out, but in general I'm pretty mellow, I used to be such a scaredy cat on forums. x'D You can even ask some of the people here, I was afraid of getting in trouble when I thought I might have unknowingly been cheating in the crane game only to find out I wasn't doing anything wrong. x'D

I was at Gaia since 2007, left for good at the beginning of this year after being inactive for 2 years.. They became way too money grubbing, destroyed their economy, and teared the fabric of their community apart. I just logged back on recently to see how things were fairing and I almost had a heart attack after seeing the value of gold and how much everything costs now.

It's sad seeing sites end up like that.

What was it when you first joined and what is it now? I'm curious. :o

Well for years I had heard about Gaia being great, but it stopped a year ago or so so I decided to go and see for myself and found out why for myself.

A new monthly when I first joined was 14,000 gold. Now it's around 14 BILLION gold. Actually, I think it's much more then that.
