Uh, Gallagher, quick question. Is it posable to make an item for each of the hairs that has all the colors for that hair in one item. I wouldn't at all mind paying 5-10k for all of it in one lump so it cuts down on the clutter in my invo. |
All all the colors won't happen, it hasn't been done for any item and won't be done any time in the near future, but if you mean all like other high priced items... Well, the answer is a little complicated.
Possible, yes. Likely, not so much. A straight-up rerelease of the same hairs in the same colors, but lumped together, probably won't be happening. However, we do have plans for multi-colored common hairs to be done in that way, and if there's enough interest for it, we could go back and fancy up some of these old hairs for that. I most def agree with you on cutting clutter in the invo, those multi-colored commons are my favorites. We do have plans to make both the shops and inventories easier to navigate, so whenever that happens, it might help to fix your clutter to feel a little less clutterific! So, common goers, that brings up a question: What would you like to see more in multi-colored hairs? Colors paired with similar tones? A set base with changing accents? A changing base with set accents? What colors/combinations would you like to see? |

So long as it isn't like Solia Online in which nearly every hair coloring combination costs real money. That was as ridiculous as paying $20 or some other outrageous price for ears. Still though I like the actual idea mentioned above lots :3
Also yes please to cleaning up inventory and shop screens! Mostly the former, the latter is easily remedied by the fantastic search bar. |
Solia has a good system and a good idea, it's just poorly executed. One custom hair cost the same as 10 DI's and it's a fully automated system to boot. Think on that for a bit. : /
But yes, I could totally go for better shops & invos. Even if it's just like all the blue shades for this bang style in an item I'd be ok with that. Once your invo gets so big it gets really hard to find what you want. : ( |
Oh, slightly unrelated to colors but very much related to hairs -- there are a few old hairstyles that could probably be separated into different parts. Figure that'd be a lot of work, but it's worth a suggestion.
So, for example, here's the Spiked Pony Hair: http://trisphee.com/forums/avatars/misc/9649.png It would be nice if we could perhaps have that hairstyle without the eyebrows. Having that tail as a separate style would be nice, too, as you've already started to do with items like Patience/Patient hair. Breaking up old hairs and separate streaks are both options we can think about for the future. I feel like we already have a brilliant selection of hairs that's only growing larger, so going back through and making alts of the old hairs isn't something that I personally would be interested in doing. If there's enough users for it, though, we can open the discussion and get someone on the project.
Some hairs, like that Spiked Pony, are less likely to have any serious edits done. The eyebrows removed would be up for discussion, but the tail on its own can already be achieved with a bit of creative layering. The Avril hair could be very cool split, though. I never played Solia Online, but I can guarantee that the majority of our hairs will not be for real currency. There are always certain styles made for premium items here and there, but seriously, y'all have seen our Salon. |
I feel sorry for the poor hairdresser who just has piles upon piles of catalogs that people can pore over.
