Renee sighed as Sanai left, she went to her bathroom to take a shower. She felt dirty, even though she didn't do much.
Michael appeared in Sanai's office sitting in a chair covered in dirt and mud holding a huge binder. "I guess we do Sanai." He held up the binder. "The complete folders." He sighed. "And I think he figured out because of Riesz." He laid the binder on his lap. |
She nodded, "I know she's only here because she's supposed to keep an eye on Renee. We might have to..take care of Riesz fairly soon." She sighed, sitting in another chair, "We'll have to be careful of course...she has a Middle C Class half breed..and who knows what else under her belt of command." She leaned forward to peer at the binder, "Well..?"

"Ya..." Michael trailed off. "There is a lot in here, instead of me telling you, you need to read it. As well as Renee... somehow." He sighed as he stood up and walked over to Sanai. He handed it to her, "After your done reading it, put it in a safe place. And don't tell me where you put it." He walked back over to the chair he was sitting in moments ago.

Sanai nodded, placing the binder on the desk for the time being, "I will figure out how to get Renee to read this over." She sighed, leaning back in the chair. "I'm assuming all those files are red tape."

"Please do." Michael nodded. "Correct, they are." He sighed. "I..." He trailed off.

Sanai raised her brow, "You..what..?" She had a feeling she didn't want to know..but..she had to know. She was curious. Never deny a curious female vampire her knowledge.

Michael shook his head, "Never mind... And trust me you don't want to know." He sighed as he stood up. "I should go and clean up." He ran his dirt covered hand through his hair. He gather up his power while he waited to see if Sanai wanted anything else.

Sanai narrowed her eyes, "Tell me Micheal...I want to know..it's probably rather important to the mission." She took a firm tone, one that should never be taken with your superior officer.

"Not really it's just about where I found the binder." Michael pointed to it as he stopped gathering power. He knew that Sanai would want to know.
Renee stepped out of her bathroom as she dried her hair, "'bout damn time." She sighed when she saw her uniforms and clothing laid out nicely on her bed. |
Sanai stood, crossing her arms over her chest, "Where did you find it? It could be of significance you know."

Michael sighed as he turned to Sanai, "It was in a hidden compartment in his... casket." He pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'm surprised the last ones to check in it didn't notice it. Then again not to many people are willing to lift up a rotting corpse. I just had bones." He looked to the floor.

She shrugged, "I think I remember him saying he'd take it with him to his grave..or something silly like that. Don't feel back Micheal, you had to do it and I'm sure he understands." She smiled a bit, putting her hand on his shoulder, "You should get cleaned up..you smell like crap...well..old rotting corpse infested dirt is more like it..but crap nonetheless."

Michael smiled slightly, "Thanks, I mean come on I just dug by hand through ten feet of dirt. I know I could of moved the dirt.... but I didn't want to disturb him like that." His smile turned into a frown. "Thank you Sanai." He patted her hand and disappeared.

Sanai chuckled as he vanished, "You're welcome Micheal..." She looked to the binder with a frown..she really didn't want to look through it right now..but..she would have to soon. And then hide it away from Micheal..now why would he want that? Wouldn't he want to know where it was? That would make sense..right?
With a sigh, she flopped into her office chair, opening the binder and reading over the pages, committing each word to memory. The files about Thanatoes, Riesz, and Micheal were overwhelming. She decided to skip Micheal's..he deserved some privacy. She went right for Riesz's file, intrigued at what made the vampire..tick. Suddenly Riesz appeared, her arms crossed over her chest and her eyes glowing brightly, "I was waiting for you to get it...now hand it over, or I will take it from you." She pulled a knife from a hidden sheath on her hip, holding it firmly. Sanai was not to be underestimated with a blade. |
Renee plopped down on her bed after she moved them to her closet and dresser. "So boring..." She trailed off as she noticed Riesz in Sanai's office. "She'll call if she needs help." She sighed as she placed her arm over her eyes.

Sanai casually closed the binder, setting it on her desk, "I was wondering when you'd show up Riesz. I've been meaning to talk to you Private." She narrowed her eyes a bit as she stood, "First off, never raise a blade against me..you know full well my skill.." She glanced down towards Riesz's chest for a moment before looking back up to her red eyes, "Secondly, you may have the idiots running the Vampires under your little facade, but I know you are still in alliance with the Rouges. And lastly, I'd like to see you try to take this binder from me."
Riesz growled a bit, "Well don't you feel oh so smart right now? I'll have you know, my skill with the blades could easily surpass you now...are you sure you want this fight? You'd be saving yourself a lot of blood on your precious uniform if you just hand it over." Suddenly, she pounced, pinning Sanai to the wall putting the blade over the vampire's heart, "Well?" Sanai was calm as ever, as always. "You have improved...a bit..but still..you fail to notice something rather important." Suddenly Riesz felt a light poking at her left side. She glanced down to see one of Sanai's knives ready to pierce her own flesh. She knocked the blade away with telekinesis as she looked back to Sanai, "Ah, I see I still have some things to learn from you...even if you are younger than me. It's a shame you still follow the rules of the Council..you'd be an excellent asset to our team.." She moved the blade, ramming it into Sanai's skull to disable her powers and sent her unconscious with a blast of telekinesis, "Although...maybe I don't...Now..if you'll excuse me.." She turned on her heel to face the desk and the binder. She had been monitoring Renee's conversations for awhile now, and overheard the Lieutenant General mention that the folders Thanatos received were..incomplete. As soon as he would leave Sanai alone with the binder, she would take it; as she is doing now. She grabbed the more than full binder, and disappeared. |
"That was fast." Renee sighed as she disappeared. She landed next to Sanai on her knees, she pulled out the knife and healed the wound. She knew it would only be a few minutes before Sanai would wake up. "How could you loose Sanai?" She whispered.

Sanai bolted upright the moment the knife was removed, her powers working to repair the damage, but Renee had already covered that. She let out a growl, clenching her fists as her eyes became red, "God dammit! How could I have been so careless?" She ran her hand through her hair with a frustrated sigh, "I forgot she can disable powers with skin-to-skin contact. Fuck!" She glared down to Renee, "I need that binder back..now."

Renee watched Sanai freak out, "I'm sorry Sanai but I can't help you with that. Because if I do Thanatos would kill me." She sighed. "Sorry..." She trailed off looking to the floor.

Sanai brought her hands to her face, rubbing her eyes a bit, "You don't get it Renee...I need that back...there are files in there that not even the LTG should see." She paced back and forth rapidly, glancing to Renee every now and then. She picked at her nails as she thought, her stress levels were rising rapidly. "Micheal is going to have me ostracized if he finds out I let her take it..." She bit her lip until it bled, her teeth driving deep into her skin. "I don't know what to do Renee...other than..take it back.." She glanced to Renee, a worried look on her face. Such a thing was suicide.

"I know you do Sanai..." Renee trailed off looking to the floor. "No he wont, to the board those files don't exist." She stood up. "Sanai you would be killed, I'm not saying your not strong. But that..." She trailed off again as she thought about her life without Sanai, a huge frown came over her face.

"But he knows they exist. You don't get the importance of those files Renee..." She trailed off, noticing Renee's expression. She stepped over, putting her hand on Renee's shoulder, "I have to get them back...I don't have a choice Renee. I'll be back. I promise~" She smiled slightly. Renee would know how severe a promise made by Sanai was.

"I know you do Sanai." Renee put her hand on Sanai's. "Please do come back. You and the LTG are the only friends I have." She sighed looking down again.

"Aww, hun, don't feel so bad about that. If it makes you feel any better, I'm in that boat as well...but..I don't really consider the LTG quite my friend..." She gave Renee a quick, but firm hug, then vanished.

"You've known him longer..." Renee trailed off as she hugged Sanai back. She fell to her knees as Sanai vanished, You better come back Sanai. She thought to herself.

"Renee...do you mind explaining why I have the Major General in my presence? I do not recall her ever knowing the location of my..base camp.."
Thanatos raised a brow at the silver haired vampire, "This certainly is a pleasant surprise Sanai. I was wondering when I'd get to see your lovely face again, although rage does not suit those precious features of yours." He leaned back casually in his chair, resting his left elbow on the arm of the chair, and his head in his palm. "What can I do for you my dear?" Sanai held out her hand, very wary and aware of the twenty or so half breeds staring at her; two of them she recognized from the almost attack at the House. "I came for my little black book Thanatos, and if you ever me 'lovely', 'dear', or 'precious' ever again, I will ignore my orders and kill your ass right in that stupid chair of yours." She drew her sabre, her eyes focused solely on Thanatos while she monitored the half-breeds telepathically. |
"I don't know..." Renee trailed off as she teleported to her room. "Just great." She sighed as she started to pace.

"You're lying to me again Renee~" A slightly hurt expression overcame Thanatos's face, "Oh put the dagger tongue away~ I don't remember you being so harsh. Either way, you know damn well I won't be giving you that binder back, and that I'm," He paused as he stood, his sword appearing in his left hand, "going to kill you." The red blade glowed a bit as he stepped towards her, "So why did you come here..if you knew it was just a suicide mission? Hhhmm?"
Sanai kept her eyes on Thanatos as he came forward; rooted to her spot. "I am responsible for those files and I intend to take them back..." She raised her sabre a bit, holding it with both hands. "If we fight, I will kill you and end this damn war between ourselves...not only that, the humans will no longer have an ally that can stand up to us and we will put them back in their place again. You're choice: Give me the binder and we continue on with this dance of a war, or die..." |
Renee was pacing really fast in her room, she was feeling so many emotions flow from the people she knew in that room. "I..." She trailed off as she got rammed with a lot of anger.

"Renee...do you honestly think you could hide the fact that you're spying on me? You do know I knew all along, correct? And yet, I didn't kill you...now..why is that..I wonder.." Suddenly their link broke; as did Renee's link with Sanai. "You have no allies here Sanai...while I on the other hand, have about 300 vampires, couple thousand humans, and about 30 half breeds...do you really think it is wise to fight me?"
Sanai narrowed her eyes, "If I remember anything about you, and Lord knows I do, you're a terrible fighter Thanatos. You talk a good game, but in the end, you always have your lackies," she let out a grunt at her last word, ramming her sword backwards into the low A Class Half Breed's heart that tried to sneak up behind her, "do your dirty work for you...eventually you will leave yourself exposed, and I will kill you." She pulled the sword upward, cutting through the half breed's body, then bringing her arms down in a smooth arc to point her sword back at Thanatos. |
Sanai cried out as the links broke, she fell to her knees holding her head. "Please be careful Sanai..."

Suddenly, Aliyah appeared kneeling next to Renee, putting her arm around the young vampire and holding her close. "It'll be alright Renee...Sanai knows what she's doing.."I hope. She was severely worried about Sanai, but knew there'd be nothing she could do. Aliyah was not a fighter, not in the least. Of course, she had mastered her powers, but her strategies were..bad. She bit her lip, "This is definitely not my best idea..but you have to help her. I can increase your power to some extent, and keep a strong shield around you..but..other than that you'd be on your own."

"She would be furious if I showed up to help her." Renee looked at Aliyah. "LTG?" She sighed as she made her Kukri and sabre appear in her hands. "I have to go..." She trailed off as she stood up. She buckled the sword and knife onto her belt. She opened her mouth to say something but was cut off as the LTG appeared.
Michael appeared, his pistols already drawn. He also had a axe handle peering from his back, a unusual thing for him. "Let's go Renee." He cocked the guns and walked next to Renee. "Yes sir." She put her hand on the man's shoulder and made them disappear. They landed next to Sanai |
Thanatos watched with a slight frown as the half-breed fell to the floor, "You know, Major General, the last time we saw each other, that statement was a bit..true..Of course, who could ever match your skill.." He flicked his wrist, the red-bladed sword swiftly slicing her up her chest; dragging from her right hip up to her leftshoulder knocking the silver cap off. "But...500 years is quite a bit of time to improve." As the sword came to her shoulder, he rammed the tip into her flesh, the edge scrapping the bone. He glanced aside as he saw Renee and Micheal appear, "How sweet..the Lieutenant and Brigadier Generals have home to save you...a pointless task as you will all die."
Sanai hisses slightly as she felt the blade cut her skin and pierce her shoulder. Even as it ground on her collar bone, she remained perfectly still, "And yet, you still haven't pierced my heart yet?" Her eyes barely flicked to the side as she sensed Renee and Micheal. "Renee...I know you know your cover is blown..but I need you to do something..we need you to stay in their company...you're going to have to fight against us..." |
"Sanai I..." Renee trailed off as she felt a gun to her head. She glanced over to the LTG, "What?" She squeaked in his head.
Michael placed a pistol to Renee's head, "Do as she says Renee." He moved his finger to pull the trigger. Now of course he knew that a gunshot to the head would not kill a vampire. Renee removed her Kukri from the sheath and jammed it at the LTG. |
