Each sale costs $1.00 as a selling fee, and if you transfer to Paypal, you pay an additional 15% "transaction fee". There is no listing fee; you don't pay anything until you sell an item.

Rosekitten 07-21-2012 11:25 PM

yeah thats what it was i read xD i can't get over the fact that someone has sold a item for 250$ o.O;

Serra Britt 07-21-2012 11:39 PM

If people really want it then they pay stupid amounts...it happened in Diablo 2 also after all.

Rosekitten 07-22-2012 12:11 AM

that is true, even gold farmers know people will pay such amounts for items. Mostly its people who have high paying jobs but not the free time to play to get in game gold. It's just legal in this case xP

id never pay real money for a in game item like that.. vanity items i would once in a while if i have the money or got it as a gift. but armor and weapons i dont seem doing so .. though im not rich either xD

Serra Britt 07-22-2012 12:15 AM

Vanity items make more sense to me. I'll admit I'm not so sure about buying actual gear with out of game money :p

Rosekitten 07-22-2012 12:19 AM

my thought is to get a bunch of gold buy some of the good gold AH items and turn around and sell them. I've seen items that were similar on both AH's so eh

though first i have to get to that level to make gold x'D i get distracted though i play wow more then d3... and atm im trying to play gw2 during the final beta weekend >.> not that i have money to get that .. so not sure why im playing

Serra Britt 07-22-2012 12:22 AM

Not sure Rose...probably why I'm busy playing other stuff just because I have a shiny event to do >.>;

Yokuutsu 07-22-2012 12:26 AM

I don't mind if they take a percentage, but only if and when it sells. I mean, real life auction houses do the same thing so I don't mind long as it is when it SELLS (or after)

What the hell did someone buy for 250? Unless there is only one of it in the ENTIRE GAME....and even then I wouldn't buy it

Rosekitten 07-22-2012 12:54 AM

yeah they only take a % if it sells (not really a percent there) and if you use paypal.

my issue is i sleep every time i have a moment to myself xD i can't wait for her to be 4 months old, her tummy should settle by then

Suzerain of Sheol 07-22-2012 01:04 AM

To mention, it's against the ToS to flip items from the GAH to the RMAH, under the clause "You may not use the Auction House as an investment vehicle". I don't know strictly it's enforced, though.

Rosekitten 07-22-2012 01:35 AM

that seems rather silly to have such a rule ... whats the difference if i bought the item and try to sell it compared to if i farmed the item? =/ i mean if i spent some million gold on the item and want to sell it at some point i think it should be allowed.

if they have that much free time to uphold that rule then i think they should get rid of the botters and spammers (better use of their free time to get rid of them). Maybe I'd rejoin the general channel then lol

Suzerain of Sheol 07-22-2012 01:38 AM

It is odd, especially since Blizzard makes money either way.

Also, keep in mind that 15% doesn't go to Paypal -- it goes to Blizzard. They just want to tax you for not using BlizzBucks.

Rosekitten 07-22-2012 02:20 AM

yeah i know it goes to blizzard, reading the forums people are accusing blizzard of having their own people selling items on the real AH to make them money or them generating items for it to make money lol

Yokuutsu 07-22-2012 12:14 PM

What's Blizzbucks? What are they good for?

Serra Britt 07-22-2012 06:17 PM

Blizzbucks can be used to buy games (I think?) as well as stuff for WoW, like server transfers and character changes.

Yokuutsu 07-22-2012 07:04 PM

I don't play WoW and the one other game I'm interested in I have...though I think it's just digital copies....if it was physical (add shipping of course...which should be covered if you have enough blizzbucks...) I would be interested in Diablo 2 again XD
