"... I know what sarcasm is," Long replied.
|
"Apparently not," Rosen retorted.
|
"It was an odd moment for sarcasm," Long explained. "I was being serious."
|
"Your phrasing was odd," Rosen shot back, "Do I have anything to be satisfied about right now?" he spat seriously, the pain getting to him again.
|
"... You're alive," Long noted, but then changed the direction of conversation. "If you're not satisfied with me as a bodyguard, you should get a different one."
|
"What's so great about being alive?" Rosen muttered, ignoring Long's attempt to change the direction, eyes looking away from Long.
|
Long didn't reply. He wasn't the best person to discuss this with. After a long moment of silence, he stood to leave.
|
Rosen shifted his body so his back was to Long, ignoring him as he left. The pain seemed to making his mood worse by the second, "... should'a just killed me," he muttered.
|
Long left without a word. He made sure Ryan wasn't following before heading to his assigned room.
|
Laurel woke with a sneeze, it was a bit drafty in the dance room. She glanced over at Nic and started to laugh, maybe the body paint hadn't been her best idea. He was glowing.
-- Frei knocked on Fin's door in the morning, wanting to go for a swim. |
Nic slowly woke like usual, either not noticing or not making a big deal about it.
-- Fin didn't reply. |
Laurel kept laughing at him as she reached down and wiped some off glowing paint of his nose, "So, did you liked my date?" she asked.
-- Frei knocked again. |
Nic paused, wondering how last night was classified as a date - not that he disliked it. So he nodded.
-- Still no reply. |
Laurel smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck, "Though you almost didn't make it," she mused, "I should have through that through better... what if Fin had come upon my bra instead!" she laughed a little at the thought.
-- So Frei picked the lock and stepped inside. |
Instead of joking something back, Nic put his arms around her waist and went in for a kiss.
-- Fin was under the covers, and from the sound of the snoring he was sleeping. He was bunched up under the covers, hair just barely poking out. |
Laurel smiled as she kissed him back. But then she pulled away and sneezed again to the side.
-- Frei went over to Fin's hair and plucked a few of strands out. |
