I would like to stick with just Harvest Moon since I've never played Rune Factory before. I have been in several Harvest Moon groups before and I've played one of the games, so I have a better understanding of the Harvest Moon portion. ^^

and it is government run. You wouldn't mess anything up :3 Rune factory is just harvest moon with magic more or less, and some combat. (though depending on the harvest moon i guess beating animals with a hammer counts as combat .. xD) also i wasn't really planning on using any of the harvest moon characters just more of the farm aspect behind it more or less >w< i normally make up a world when i do the harvest moon themed one so no one can really mess up or go wrong :3

I think if your gut feeling is that something is wrong, then it usually is. At least that's what I've noticed based on personal experience. Not sure what I would suggest for you in order to deal with this cause I honestly have no clue as I've never dealt with such a circumstance before.
