"Hold it!" Denum waved. "You're gonna cut him up!?"

"His lungs were punctured," Neko explained. "If I don't suture the slice, he wont be able to get enough air. I also need to remove the blood from his lungs."

He glanced at Denum.

"Shotaro can help me, if you don't want to."

"No, I'll do this." Denum said. "Shota, you stay with LiSen."

Shotaro gave a small nod and slipped into the other room.

Rathi stepped outside and glanced around for any sign of his twin sister.

He was nearly tackled over when Kamariya came in from the side and wrapped around him- crushing him in a hug.

"Ka!" He gasped - his eyes filling with relieved tears as he clung to his sister.

"You smell like human blood." Kamariya breathed.

"Luda," Rathi breathed out, weakly. "He forced my tail... he hurt Ryou-!"

"What?" Kamariya frowned.

"Quarrel's twin," Rathi sobbed, weakly, into her hold. "Ryou was there and he... he used me... he made me attack him-!"

"...Why?" Kamariya breathed. "You two are...why would he hurt you like that?"

Rathi shook his head. "His mind is... its lost. Its split... all that's left is the pain..."

"Pain?" Kamariya blinked. "Split? You complete him though."

"His mind is split in two," Rathi explained. "A projection... he has a projection of his kindness. Its no longer in him..."

"Projection?" Kamariya gaped. "What have they done to him!?"

Rathi shook his head, clinging to her desperately. "He's lost... he's so lost, Ka..."
