She frowned, hurrying after him, "I can be quite stubborn Seth. Please just tell me, I'm sure whatever it is, we can work it out. I know it involves the Council." She placed her hand gently on Seth's shoulder, then gripped it firmly and stopped him, turning him so they were facing each other. "Please Seth?"
|
"(Sigh) That's one thing I love about you." Seth said with a little smile. "I'll tell you but I don't want you to do anything rash. Promise me that? Please?" Seth said apprehensive.
|
Serus became slightly worried, but nodded, "Of course." She smiled slightly, the apprehension from Seth making her quite nervous herself.
|
"Well they gave me a few choices. I could either kill Layla or (gulp) you." Seth said slightly infuriated.
|
Serus gasped, flabbergasted, "Excuse me? Or me? Listen you, you march right back up stairs with Jaelynn and you go and tell them exactly what you think of that! There's no way that I'm going to allow this to happen."
She narrowed her eyes, turning on her heel and walking away in a huff. |
"Damn it! Serus!" Seth said as he ran to catch up with her. "Serus!" He said as he caught up with her. He swooped in front of her. "First I could never hurt you. Second I told them I couldn't kill you. So they told me to kill Layla, and I will. I love you Serus and I will do everything in my power to either kill her or help you kill her." Seth said as he almost tripped because he was walking backwards.
|
"It's not that I think you'll do it, cause I know you won't. It's the fact that they thing they can make you choose that irritates me. They know you would never kill me, and therefore they make you want to kill Layla, knowing you'll fail just like me, except you won't make it out alive."
After a moment of seething, she said, "And that's what irritates me. They can't just send you on a suicide run like that." She pushed him aside and stormed past him and up the stairs to her room. Jaelynn tilted her head as Serus stormed in, "What's wrong? Serus answer me dammit. What the hell are you doing?" She watched as Serus stormed across the room. Serus ignored Jaelynn, stomping over to her closet and throwing the door open. She pulled out an exact copy of her dress, glaring at Jaelynn before heading to the bathroom to change. After what seemed like an eternity, she headed back out to see Seth there as well. She opened her mouth to say something, thought about it, then closed her mouth and continued to an empty wall. She pounded on the wall, a panel sliding back to reveal a keypad. She quickly inputted the proper code, the wall sliding back to reveal a shallow room with another code guarded door. She whirled around to face the two, "Since it seems that I won't let you keep anything hidden from me, I suppose it's fair to do the same. You both know the Council wants me dead. You also know there's a severely dark reason behind it that involves little Miss Layla." Why do I get the feeling I'm really not going to like this? she thought herself, tensing slightly as Serus spoke. "What are you talking about Mistress? You told me, you did nothing wrong. Have you lied to me!?" Jaelynn was now angry as she could sense Serus's emotions. She did lie! "Seth! Her aura, what is it saying?" |
Seth stood there worried at what Serus said. When he was snapped out of his daze by Jaelynn "Well." He said as he adjusted his eyes. "Holy shit. I've never seen anything like this." Seth said dumbfounded. "Her aura is like a rainbow. There's light pink which is her main aura color, a light red which is lust, blue for truth, a darker red for anger, black for resentment, and white for lie's." Seth said still shocked.
|
Serus fidgeted a bit as Seth examined her aura. She was slightly uncomfortable with that. She sighed, looking Jaelynn, waiting for the onslaught of words.
Jaelynn's became flush red as she got angrier, "Serus Marie LaShalla Antinori! You told me you would never lie to me. You had better tell me what is going on or I will bring your head to the Council myself!" She took a breath, her frame shaking with fury. "I am dead serious Serus. Tell me the truth NOW!" Well, that wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. |
"Jaelynn settle down please." Seth said as he stepped in front of her he forgot to unadjust his eye's so he could see Jaelynn's aura. It was purple her main color, dark red, and white. "Your lying Jaelynn, you could never kill Serus." He said trying to get her anger directed to himself.
"Master Seth are you ok?" Felix asked as he could tell Seth was upset. "I'm fine Felix." Seth said still trying to calm Jaelynn down. |
Jaelynn narrowed her eyes, "And now you're supposed to shut up." She stepped around, a bit calmer now, "Well Serus?"
Serus motioned to Jaelynn, "You're already well aware I like to...test a few aspects of vampirism," she looked to Seth with a frown, "Sometimes they're not so..correct according to the council." She could see Jaelynn tense as she continued, "When I first 'killed' Layla, I had truly believed her to be dead, and so reported it to the Council. Not too many years later, I was.." she bit her lip, unsure if she wanted to tell them. "..proven wrong. After finishing off the remnants of her coven, I had moved here, choosing not to be living in the Antinori Manor." She looked to Jaelynn once more, "That's when uh..you came into my life....back on topic. While I was in the middle of a Coven meeting, something suddenly felt wrong among my clan's officers. "I had noticed one of them had a strange..signature to their mind. Vaguely familiar. Shortly after that, Layla revealed herself." She paused, entering the code into the second door and cracking it open, "You see, Layla can mimic the appearance of others. Not only that, she can do it so completely, it's almost impossible to tell unless you closely examine her, by then she launches her deadly attack. "Either way, I could sense Layla had gotten much stronger than myself, and knew that if I failed the first time, I was not likely to succeed the second time. So, I had to..improvise. By this time, I had already mastered many telekinetic techniques, especially matters involving brain waves. Very interesting things they are." She trailed off, pondering about it for a moment, "Ah right. Well anyway, near the end of my battle, we were both fairly worn out, but I had a trick up my sleeve." She heard Jaelynn mutter 'As always' and shot her a glare. "I had saved enough of my power to be able to siphon whatever I would need from her for my final move." She sighed, "I had stolen enough power to alter her brainwaves to make it think she needed to stay in a coma for the remainder of her life. It was the only way that I could keep everyone from finding out that I had failed. My coven swore secrecy about it, and I knew I could trust them indefinitely. I was going to kill her, but my curiosity got the better of me. I decided to keep her locked away in my Manor and st--" Jaelynn interrupted, "You. Did. What!? What the hell were you thinking Serus!? You should have chopped her to pieces, fed her heart to the wolves and brought her head to the Council!" |
"Serus? Why did you do that. Curiosity aside why didn't you just kill her?" Seth asked sympathetic. "If you did this whole fucking mess wouldn't be going on right now." Seth said angered, even though he doesn't mind a fight. "Or if it still happened we would of only had Dragos to contend with." Seth said as he walked up to Serus. "Wait you said that Layla can mimic people and that you can't tell the difference from the fake or original?" Seth said looking into her blind eyes. "So how do we know that you are the real Serus?" Seth said as he cocked his head.
|
Jaelynn stepped forward, "I can vouch for that, Seth. I can't exactly tell you why, unless Serus gives me permission, but you can trust me." Her face was blank of emotion as she looked back to Serus. "May I?"
Serus bit her lip a bit, "Well--.." She was interrupted by Jaelynn, then shook her head, "He can only handle so much in a day." The two stared at each other for awhile, arguing telepathically. After a few minutes, Serus snarled, "Fine, but I take no responsibility for this..secret. It was your choice to keep this fact hidden." Jaelynn turned to , face Seth, crossing her arms, "If you were to examine our auras closely, while we're standing next to each other," She paused, moving to stand next to Serus, "you will notice something quite shocking. "You may have noticed, that for some reason, I know just about everything Serus knows, about you; the council's motives, and so on and so forth." She paused, watching Seth carefully, "Now, turn off your aura sensing and tell me something. When you look closely at our faces, what do you see?" She tilted her head slightly to the side as Serus moved hers. |
Seth did as he was told. "Well this is indeed interesting." Seth said as he adjusted his eye's again to read their auras. "Well Serus is a light pink. Jaelynn's is purple. Wait." he zoomed his eye's in more on their auras. "Light pink! Knowing that Serus is around 500 and Jaelynn is around 400. Well that could work." "Well," he paused and sighed, "I say that Serus is your mother Jaelynn." Seth said nonchalantly as he took a seat on the little couch in front of Serus' bed. "I do got to say, I can't believe I didn't notice it earlier." Seth said as he folded his hands in his lap.
|
Jaelynn nodded, "Correct. Layla may be able to replicate appearance, and maybe even aura, we're unsure, but she could never replicate her mind to the point I would not be able to recognize that it's her." She sighed, stepping away from Serus before she smacked her, "Now tell me why you didn't just tell the truth to the council? We could've avoided a lot of the issues we're currently facing."
Serus sighed, placing her hands on her hips, "Correct Seth, and as for your question Jae, you'll be surprised at my answer." She paused, "You all know how the Council can be..I couldn't subject Layla to their cruelty..oddly enough." She shrugged, "So, I kept her here." She swung the door open to reveal a full sized master bedroom. It was completely furnished, with red being the main color. "I spent most of my time analyzing her mind, decoding her powers and trying to figure out how to apply them to myself, or other vampires if need be. "I already knew about the blood transfer of power, but it only lasts 24 to 48 hours, give or take. I wanted to know how to make it permanent. I never did. Just recently, about 50 years ago, I decided to venture around the country to see if I could find anyone who would know, but I couldn't go to the council of course. Just before I had met Seth, Dragos somehow found her and managed to wake her up..." Jaelynn frowned, "Your cruelty knows no bounds either you know. I don't want to go into those details regarding Layla's...stay here. Either way, what about Dragos? How did he survive?" "I have no idea. I had wanted to ask him before I killed him, but I never got the chance to do either." She chuckled slightly, shutting the door and sliding the panel back across the wall, "Thanks to Seth. Now that's not a bad thing though." |
"Hmm Serus? It's been about three days right?" Seth asked as he stood up. "Well," he looked over to Jaelynn kind of embarrassed, "do you remember when I told you I drank Dragos' blood and I was able to move earth?" He said looking at Serus.
"Well shortly before I killed him I drank almost all of his blood that was left." Seth said trying to get to the point. "What if the powers stay with you permanently if you drain the other vampires blood and then kill them?" Seth said as he went towards the door. "I wanna go see something." Seth said trying to wait for a response, but was almost to excited to wait. |
"Ah, ah ah, get back here." Serus hurried over, grabbing his shoulder and turning him around to face her. "I can check that." She placed her index finger on his forehead and closed her eyes, concentrating on his mind. She stayed out of areas that were none of her business, but quickly found the center where his brain stored knowledge of his power.
"Hmm..." she muttered as she thoroughly examined the area. "I do sense something about elements there, but it's not very strong, as you don't know much about it. Let me check..." she trailed off as she ventured through his..spirit so to say. She could definitely sense Dragos and his power flowing through Seth. She stepped back, opening her eyes and tilting her head, "Amazing." Jaelynn waited silently, her arms crossing over her chest once more. "Very," she stated simply as Serus spoke. "I wonder if it includes Dragos' strength?" After a moment of silence, she shook her head, "I do not sense any drastic increases from when I first met him. He definitely is a bit stronger since the fight though." |
"Aw." He said as he got turned around. "Is there anyway I can learn more about the elements?" Seth said as he thought. He looked at Serus."Maybe Felix could... No that's to dangerous. He thought as he looked down. "Hmm." Seth pondered.
|
Serus shrugged, "Only an elemental user could show you. I have never dappled in those arts. I could perhaps help you with air, since it's basically like telekinesis, but other than that you're on your own." Her expression was mildly concerned, "There's plenty of space out back, just dont set the forest on fire?"
Jaelynn took a breath, "I'm going to check on the repairs. Don't you dare damage this house any farther." With that she left the room to go yell at some construction workers. |
"I wont." Seth said to Serus with a smile. He gave her a sweet kiss on the cheek and ran out. He felt like a kid in a candy store. Seth got to the little forest in the back of Serus' house. "I think I will try earth first, since I did do that one first." Seth said as he concentrated. He picked up a huge piece of earth and threw it into a tree. "Well now that was fun." He said with a big smile. After a few hours Seth mastered earth.
"Now let's try water." Seth said listening for a stream. "I don't know if I need water around or not." He said as he found a stream. He didn't go to the stream right away because he wanted to see if he needed water to use water. Seth concentrated and he felt it start to rain. "Did I do that." He said as he lost his concentration. The rain stopped a few seconds later. "Awesome!" Seth said as he started to concentrate. The ground started to shake and and it started to rain. He stopped concentrating but noting stopped. So he concentrated again and everything stopped. "Shit Layla!" Seth said shocked. He opened up a link with Serus and Jaelynn. "I think Layla is coming. Ill be in a few seconds to explain. Seth said as he turned and ran back to the house. "I wish in these moments I could teleport." Seth said still running. |
Suddenly Serus was next to him, her face made of seriousness, "Are you sure Seth?" She looked around with her mind, stretching it far past her secluded property. "I don't sense her anywhere near by..." She drew her mind back to her property, searching it thoroughly. "Nope." Suddenly, she noticed that Seth had still be running, expecting to meet Serus in her room. She chuckled a bit, "Don't run away from me now."
|
“Wait. What?" Seth said as he stopped dead in his tracks. He turned around and saw Serus. "Serus sorry I didn't notice you." Seth said as he walked up to her. "I'm pretty sure. When I was practicing I got a feeling that Layla was coming." Seth said as he tried to calm his mind. He opened up a link with Felix.
"Felix has any new powers shown up?" Seth asked. "Yes sir." Felix said as he sat down. "What showed up?" Seth asked somewhat excited. "Well sir I've been getting pictures of stuff." Felix said as he felt another one coming on but stopped it. "Ahh I see you have Clairvoyance." Seth said proud. Hmm Clairvoyance. That sounds interesting." Felix said as he cringed. Seth felt Felix cringe. "Felix what’s wrong?" Seth asked worried. "I just got images in my head." Felix said still reeling from what he saw. "What did you see?" Seth asked wondering. "Serus, and Layla." Felix started to say but he was cut off. "Stop!" Seth said as he pulled Serus in on the conversation. "Now what did you see?" Seth asked very scared. "Death, sadness, anger. Layla is coming. Layla and Serus will battle, and one of them will die." Felix said with great sadness. "Damn it Felix! Stop being so fucking cryptic!" Seth yelled. "I'm sorry sir but that's all I have for now." Felix said upset in himself. |
Serus was unfazed by the..visions. She shrugged a bit her cockiness showing again, "I already know these things Felix. I will not loose to Layla this time." She hummed a bit, removing herself from the conversation and walking off to grab a bit of blood from the kitchen.
She took the pitcher and poured the thick red liquid into a class. She didn't favor drinking blood this way, but she was bored. She had nothing better to do than just sit around and drink here and there. Felix's news did upset her though, she just didn't let it show. Why would there be sadness and anger if Layla was the one to die. She frowned, swirling the blood around inside the glass. Why do I get the feeling it's not Layla who dies? |
Seth saw Serus walk away. "Hm anger and sadness? Who would be sad over Layla's death. Shit it's Serus." Seth said still a little angry but sad as well. "Felix why didn't you see me or Jaelynn fighting along side of Serus? Seth asked quickly.
"All I saw was Serus and Layla. I'm sorry sir." Felix said as he started to cry. He came to the conclusion that Serus was the one going to die. "If you get anything new... ANYTHING contact me right away." Seth said as he went to look for Jaelynn. "Yes sir." Felix said barely able to compose himself. |
Serus sighed, setting the glass down, loosing her appetite. She leaned back on the dark granite counter, letting her head hit the cabinet as she let it fall back to rest. What am I going to do? I should've killed her or turned her over to the council when I managed to knock her out. I'm such a fool.
She ran her fingers through her hair with a stressful sigh. She had to act quickly. Perhaps, if she could ambush Layla, she might have a chance. Dammit..Jaelynn.. she quickly shielded off her mind, even from her daughter. She searched the minds of her coven to see if anyone had any news about Layla's whereabouts. |
Seth found Jaelynn yelling at some contractors. "Man she does a lot of yelling." Seth laughed to himself. "Jaelynn we need to talk in privet." He said as he pointed to the room where Serus talked with the council. They entered the room and Seth shut the doors. "Can you do your sound blocking thing please." Seth asked nervously. "Read my mind please." Seth said sort of demanding. "You know what I wanna talk about." Seth said feeling bad hiding things from Serus. "We need to figure something out to keep Serus from going to look and fight Layla." Seth said flustered. "As we speak Serus is probably searching as far as she can reach to find Layla." Seth said trying to figure things out.
|
Jaelynn turned to see Seth, nodded and followed him inside the conference room. The doors shut by themselves after she had entered, and as he asked, she made a barrier around the room and their minds so Serus would not be able to eavesdrop at all. "You can start by saying please kindly, before you demand anything from me."
She sighed, as she read his mind, but nodded, "I agree, but knowing her, the only thing that would keep her here, is probably you." She paused, trying to think of how to phrase it. "She really loves you. She didn't even really care for my father very much. I hate doing this to her, but you're going to have to guilt her into staying here...and I do mean guilt." She quickly glances her mother's mind, but found that she couldn't get anything from her, "She's blocking me out..she's definitely planning. We don't have much time." |
"I'm sorry for demanding you." Seth said apologetically. "What can I do to guilt her into staying?" Seth asked felling horrible. "So she doesn't read my mind and see what I'm doing, can you teach me how to block other people out?" He asked hoping she would.
|
Jaelynn couldn't help but laugh a bit at his request, "It would take you years to master it well enough to keep her out, but until then I can protect your mind. Perhaps, once this is over, I can teach you..." She sighed, putting a shield around his mind, "She will know something is up if she analyzes you carefully...but I can remain undetected if she's simply just talking to you. Don't give her a reason to go digging around."
She was silent for a moment as she thought, but shrugged, "I couldn't tell you. That's something you'll have to think of I guess. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Although, if worse comes to worse, I will disable her like she did to Layla. She won't be too pleased when she wakes up, but she will be safe until we can get rid of Layla." |
"Well thank you Jaelynn." Seth said with a slight bow. "Now all I need to do is think of a way to keep her here." Seth said as the doors opened. "I got it." he said as he walked to find Serus. Felix I'm not going to let Serus die so I'm going to say you got another vision and me and Jaelynn were killed before Serus."
"Ok sir." Felix said worried. Seth found Serus in the kitchen and put on the saddest face he could muster up. "Serus?" Seth said as he walked up to her, "We...need to talk." He sighed closing his eyes, pausing a moment to gather his thoughts. This would have to be done very carefully. After a moment, he opened his eyes, sadness plastered all over his face, "Felix just contacted me...and I'm afraid that if I tell you, it'll happen even quicker. You have to promise me to stay here? No matter what." He waited a moment, but not for an answer. "Layla kills Jaelynn and myself right before you. We..followed you after discovering you snuck out to go chase her down. We didn't stand a chance.." He watched her face carefully, trying to determine if he should play it up more, or what he should do. "The anger and sadness comes from you as she kills us both." He took her hands in his, lacing their fingers. He felt terrible for lying to her, but it was for her own good. He just hoped she didn't see through the lie. |
Serus tensed as he told her of what was to happen. Distraught, she took her hands away from his playing with one of the ribbons on the corset of her dress. She stared at him for a moment, her grief written all over her face. "It's...my fault..you die?"
She began to shake a bit as she wrapped her arms around her torso, hugging herself tightly. She could not live with herself if she was the reason Seth and Jaelynn died. Her body continued to tremble as various fictional scenes of their deaths flashed through her mind. "I..can't" she whispered, dropping to her knees, "I'll just...stay..." She bent over, as if in pain, her hair completely covering her face as she gently rocked back and forth. Jaelynn couldn't help but cry a bit as Serus's emotions went into complete chaos. Luckily, she was upstairs and didn't have to see it happening. She picked at her finger nails, unsure of what to do...other than help Seth..keep him reassured. "Seth, don't break your composure. It's vital she stays here. It's for her well being, as well as ours. You can do this." She shut her eyes, trying to ease Seth's mind by manipulating his subconscious. "She will understand why this was necessary. She'll be alright. Just..comfort her, but don't let her see through the lie." |
Seth was heartbroken seeing Serus this way. He bent down after hearing Jaelynn. "Serus." Seth said as he picked up her face and whipped away her tears. "I still love you." Seth said as he gently kissed her. "Let's go upstairs you need some rest." He said as he picked her up. Seth carried her knowing that she would not forgive him and Jaelynn for what they did.
"Would she still love me?" He thought as he carried her up the stairs. They made it to Serus' room, Seth gently placed Serus on the bed. He got in next to her just to try and comfort her. His heart was breaking every moment he kept up this lie. Seth shed a tear as he held her. |
Jaelynn quickly left the conference room before Serus and Seth could pass her. She took a secondary staircase and headed up to to the fourth floor hiding away in a study flopping into a chair with a heavy sigh.
Serus just nodded, letting him take her to her room. She was still shaking at random intervals as they lay on the bed. She was so ashamed with herself. How could she have been so selfish in thinking she could take Layla out over night and not have to worry about Seth and Jaelynn? "I'm so sorry" she said weakly, heaving out a few sobs. She wrapped her arms tightly around him, burying her face in his chest. "I won't be selfish," she managed to spit out between sobs, "But..you have to promise me you won't go after her either. You have to convince the council to find someone else. Please?" By now she had calmed down a bit. |
"Shhh shhh." Seth said as she buried her head in his chest. "I promise we wont go after her." Seth said trying not to cry. "I will go talk to them tomorrow." Seth said as he stroked her hair. "For now we rest." Seth said as he kissed the top of her head.
|
Serus nodded, laying there quietly, yet she couldn't bring herself to sleep. After what seemed like an eternity, she finally fell asleep. Her sleep was riddled with more nightmares of Seth and/or Jaelynn dying. She curled up in a tight ball, her back facing Seth.
Layla giggled in that sweet, evil manor that she was known for. She stood over Serus, grabbing her by her hair and pulling her off the ground, "Did I not tell you, that I would get revenge? Oh, but don't worry. I've only just gotten started my dear." Layla laughed darkly as she threw her back into the tree, "I think I'll start with your little pet, Seth. Oh the things I could do to that boy~" Serus yelled out as she hit the tree, snapping it near the roots where she hit it. Her head crashing into the trunk before it could fall away, causing a large splinter to be lodged in the back of her skull. She suddenly became dizzy with pain and weakness as the tree fell away from her back, causing her to follow suit. Her body had been severely damaged by Layla's strong telekinetic attacks. But how? Shes..not a psychic vampire Serus tried to get up, but with only one leg, it was incredibly difficult. Not to mention, both her arms were dislocated and shattered, her ribs werent even in her thoracic cavity anymore, and her neck had been severed in multiple places. Suddenly, Seth was in front of them, tackling Layla to the ground. Serus wanted to yell at him, so he could get away, but her lungs had completely caved in and she was out of power. She couldn't heal; she couldn't even communicate telepathically. All she could do was lay there and watch the two fight. It was a quick ending for Seth. Layla had replicated the fight between him and Dragos, doing to him what he did to Dragos. Tears ran down Serus's cheeks as she watched the fight through Layla's eyes. She knew Layla wouldn't kill her quite yet, not until she had taken care of Jaelynn and Seth to break Serus's heart and mind. Suddenly, Layla's blackened hand dove into Seth's chest and pulled out his heart. Serus wanted to scream, or move, or something, but she simply couldn't. As Layla tore his heart apart, she was jolted awake by the shock of the nightmare Serus yelled out as she bolted upright, her hands darting around the mattress, looking for Seth. She couldn't sense him, or anyone in the house now. She was alone. He didn't lie..did he? She pulled her knees to her chest, resting her chin atop them. It was just a nightmare anyway...he's probably off talking to the Council right now. She nodded as she forced herself to calm down. |
Seth waited until Serus was sleeping for awhile. "Jaelynn we should go find Layla. Before Serus does." Seth said as he gently got up off of the bed. He looked at Serus in the dark and couldn't help but cry. Before he made a sound he quietly left the room. He caught up to Jaelynn downstairs. "I feel really terrible doing this to Serus." Seth said whipping his tears away. "Do you know how we are going to find Layla?" Seth asked as they went out the door.
|
Jaelynn met Seth outside Serus' room, blocking any sounds from reaching Serus' ears. She nodded, "In fact, I do. Markus found her awhile ago and has been keeping tabs on her for awhile now. I haven't told Serus yet. You're not going to like where she is..."
She took Seth's hand, quickly teleporting them to an ally way, just across from a little white shop that Seth would find quite familiar. Especially considering it was the one Serus had had constructed in Washington, in his town. She pointed across the street just as a brown haired girl was walking by the shop, "She's been lingering around the shop for quite some time now. After some time of watching that woman, it's been determined that she is Layla. She probably expects Serus to show up since it is her shop after all." Serus frowned as she was unable to contact Jaelynn and Seth. The council wouldn't block her like this, but..Jaelynn might if they were doing something they shouldn't be. Jaelynn was very sneaky like that, seeing as she had done plenty of spy work for Serus. "Felix...you there?" |
"That bitch." Seth said looking in the shop window. "Shes been under our noses all along." Seth said looking at Jaelynn. "How are we gonna get her or the people out of there?" Seth asked really irritated.
"Yes Serus?" Felix said worried. |
"Indeed she has, but we have to be careful. If we use any power right away I'm afraid she might sense it. Any ideas?"
"Why do I get the feeling that they're not telling me something?" She stood out of the bed, jumping in surprise as someone appeared before her. The black haired man shoved his hands in his pockets, "You're not going to like what I'm about to tell you Serus." His dark eyes watched her closely as she tensed up. She already knew something was wrong. "Jaelynn told me not to tell you, but I think she's going to end up getting hurt. Layla has been located." |
"Well Felix can come down here and tell the man at the register to 'close' shop so we can surprise Layla." Seth said getting ready to contact Felix.
"I don't know ma'am." Felix said nervously. |
