"Y-yes, I'm in pain and I-I made a snack just a little bit ago, mostly for the children. But that's not what's wrong. It's something...something more serious I think. I think there's something wrong with the baby." She tried her best to hide the pain so that she wouldn't scare her children. She pressed her hand against her stomach as she felt a hard kick. "The baby has been kicking harder than normal. I-I don't understand...None of my pregnancies felt like this before!" She winced at the pain. "Go tend to Faye, I will be fine. I'm just going to go to the doctors and get some help." She told him. She slowly sat up and slowly made her way to the stroller she had for her youngest but luckily there was enough room for both of them. She had a larger stroller for this very reason. "Come on children, we're going for a walk." She told them. With excitement in their eyes, they got up and rushed over to the stroller. She placed them in slowly one by one. After taking in a few breaths, she was slowly making her way to the door but stopped once she got there. Even though it wasn't far, she was still feeling incredibly weak. She was determined to make it there in fear of loosing the baby.
|
Now Isaac is annoyed by this, but watches a moment before stepping in, "Elizabeth, you seem to be forgetting that I'm a doctor myself, and I know how to deliver babies, I just preferred not to before because I didn't make sure I was not taking proper care of myself. The problem though would be someone watching the children while I examine you. And with being in such pain its probably worse that you're trying to walk. Children, why don't you go to your bedroom and play there for a bit instead. Your mom shouldn't really be leaving to see another doctor when I'm here after all." He easily lifts the children out of the stroller, then gently picks up Elizabeth and effortlessly carries her upstairs to her bedroom, the one that used to be his.
Wanting to make sure Faye knows he sends one of his vampire familiars down to Faye, this way if she wants to come up for something while Isaac helps Elizabeth the familiar can help her. The vampire that Isaac had first consumed the other day takes form in their bedroom, standing in front of Faye with her hand on her hips. "So, he's into mutts and befriends humans, so that's why he went nuts the other day and consumed us. All because he wanted to hold onto his humanity, how pathetic. And what's even more pathetic is you, the mutt he's so infatuated with that he'll kill anyone that gets in his way to get to you. Even that ancient werewolf, no clue who he is though since we don't pay attention to those flee bitten curs." |
"I know you're a doctor but I didn't know you knew anything about babies and pregnancies." She explained. Elizabeth was more than happy to ave him take care of her, she didn't relish the thought of dragging her children all the way to the doctors. It was a far walk especially with the amount of pain she was in. "Besides, I really didn't want to trouble you at all. I don't feel right about it." She explained. "But I think there's something seriously wrong. The baby was always so active but now the kicks are harder and less frequent. I just know something's wrong!" She insisted. She rubbed her stomach just hoping that it was her imagination, that maybe it was because she was getting ill that the baby was acting this way.
Faye was getting furious with how the familiar was talking to her. She stood up and crossed her arms. "You better show respect to me. After all, I am an Eve. And I have Lilith's power. And I can get Isaac to make you shut up. You do have to obey him whereas I am free to do as I please." She smirked feeling as though she won. "And I wasn't always like this. I used to be a human. I was forced into this life. And Isaac bit me because he thought I was going to die. But honestly, your insults don't bother me because you are a lowly sub species to hate someone who's not just like like you." |
Isaac eases Elizabeth down onto the bed, trying to make her as comfortable as possible, "I'm just going to try and fell around externally to see if I can identify the problem until one of my familiars comes back with some gloves for me." Gently, he feels different areas around her belly, pushing in at certain spots, looking for indications of the baby's condition. As he finishes a dog familiar comes into the room with a sterile pair of surgical gloves, which Isaac takes and puts on.
"It seems like the cord is wrapped around the babies neck. I'm sorry Elizabeth, this might hurt a bit, but I have to check and fix the cord if that's the case. I'm going to use my abilities to make it easier on you though so it shouldn't be as bad." Taking a deep breath he places one hand on her belly, using his powers to numb her a bit there and make it easier for him to reach in to help the baby. With the other hand he feels around and can tell the cord is indeed around her neck. He manages to get the cord out from around the neck without harming it, but he's still not easy since the heartbeat is very faint. "I got the cord out from around the baby, but only time will tell if it will survive. If we had of checked any later though the baby probably would have died, and you might have died too. I'm going to get you something to drink, it might taste awful but it will be good for you, giving you back some strength. Would you like for me to have someone get Lucien?" After taking off the gloves her burns them with shadowy fire to dispose of them. The vampire woman sneers at Faye. "Eve or not, I don't take orders from you. Familiars can be defeated but not killed since we're already dead, its just our souls stuck here. And of course, he was still wanting to hold onto his humanity like I said. Anyways, that murder sent me down here in case you wanted to go upstairs. Apparently that mother to be is having trouble with her baby and Isaac is tending to her." |
Elizabeth felt nothing but fear at the news about her baby. Tears stream down her eyes "No, don't bother, he wouldn't come anyway. Work is too important. Unless the baby dies or I die, don't bother trying to get a hold of him. And even then, I don't know if he would come back since he still needs to make money for the children. Money is the most important thing to him. He says he will save up to buy a house while we live her but that could take a long time. But I don't know if we can last that long. I know its shameful to divorce but I never see him. I love him to death but money is the first thing he loves." She looked down and rubbed her stomach. "I'm just so happy that you were able to help. If anything happened to this child, I don't know what I would do." She smiled weakly. She closed her eyes and just relaxed but without falling asleep. Her dress was pulled up a bit which showed her ankles and they were swelled badly. Her feet could barely fit into the shoe she was wearing.
"Yes, your soul is still here which means that technically, you're alive. You may not have your body, but you have your full range of emotions and you have your mind intact. I would make your eternal life a living hell." She warned. "And Isaac will have no problems in making you obey. So you better watch what you say around this mutt." She snarled. Faye wasn't about to take her harsh words. She ma not see but she didn't need to to defend herself with words. She really wished that she could force her to obey her so much and hated the thought of having to rely on Isaac for that but she was his familiar. "Take me to him NOW!" She demanded. This was probably the only time she could order her around since Isaac told her to do it in the first place. |
Rolling her eyes, the vampire familiar takes hold of Faye's hand and leads her upstairs and into the kitchen where Isaac is working with a knife and an unusual mortar and pestle. Hearing them come in he looks up, putting down the knife as he walks over Faye to give her a hug. Resting his chin on her shoulder he whispers to her, "Elizabeth is having trouble with the baby, her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck. I was able to remove it but I don't know how the baby will fair, nor Elizabeth. It's a good thing I caught it now otherwise both of them probably would soon be dead. I'm making up a medicinal drink right now for her to help her get some energy back and help the baby recover. I want them both to make it through, I don't want anything to happen to either one of them." Releasing her he kisses her on the forehead and returns to making the drink.
After crushing the herbs and different vegetables for the nutrients he mixes in some milk to make it more like a liquid than a paste. Isaac takes Faye's hand in his, squeezing t gently, "Would you like to come upstairs and see her? It would probably make her feel better since it will be the first time she'll see you like this after all." |
Faye was horrified with the news. She hoped that Elizabeth and the baby would both be alright. She hugged Isaac back tightly. "I would love to go see her. You are right about that." She kissed his cheek. "Do I look presentable?" She asked as she tried to straighten herself out. "What about my ears, shouldn't I cover them? Especially if the children are there? Or if not, then what if they come bursting in?" She asked as she touched them. She let out a sigh. Sh wasn't about to bring up his familiar with everything going on, it would be very rude of her, or so she felt. Sniffing towards where he was making the milk and what not and made a face. "That doesn't smell good." She walked closer. "What is that? Is it medicine for her? Will that make Elizabeth healthy again?" Sh asked in concern for the sick lady.
|
Isaac laughs nervously, knowing full well that the concoction smells awful, "It won't make her healthy again, but it will help to make her healthy. She needs energy and nutrients, both of which this has. As for the children, I think I'll just make sure they are in their room, bring you and the drink to Elizabeth and keep an eye on the children until you're done seeing her. Once you're done I'll get you to bring you back downstairs and then let the children know that they can see their mom." He pours the mixture into a glass, then takes Faye's hand to leaf her upstairs. Though if the children were to come running out right now to see their mother he's not sure how he's explain Faye to them if they saw her.
|
Faye smiled happily and gladly took Isaac's hand as they walked upstairs. As they entered, Faye smiled at Elizabeth even though she couldn't see her, she could smell her scent all over. "Elizabeth? You don't know me..." Before she could finish her sentence, she was cut off from faye. "Faye. Yes, I know who you are. You may not be a wolf, but with your black furry ears, well, even without them, I will know who you are." Elizabeth smiled and patted the girl's head. "I really appreciate both of you for putting up with me and my children, Isaac more so than you Faye since you loved them." She took a sip of the mixture and tried not to make any facial movements that would show she didn't quite care for it. "Well, you're welcomed here. We don't mind you staying, an even if Isaac was against it, I would still allow you to stay!" She smiled.
|
Isaac leads her over to the bed so that she could use it to know where she was, then goes over into the children's room to distract them for a bit.
"Would you two like for me to teach you a song? I used to sing it to my little sister and she always had fun singing it. You can even sing it to your mom and dad later if you want. It's called the Alphabet Song, and it goes like this." Starting off slowly he sings the letters to them, then encourages them to sing along with him. Since he was planning on teaching them how to read and write teaching them their letters through a song was a very good idea since children love to play and talk to the people around them, which would also include singing. "Alright, I'm going to check on your mother and see if she'd like to hear you two sing to her. I'll just be gone for a moment." Closing the door to the children's room he goes back to Elizabeth and takes Faye's hand. "So how are you feeling? A bit better after that drink? I know it tastes awful but it always helps." |
Emmett and Bridgette nodded their heads. "My mommy loves songs. We might forget before daddy comes home. He's always gone for so long!" She huffed. But as Isaac began to sing, she and her little brother began singing also trying their best to sing. Of course they still weren't able to memorize it but they did know a little bit of the song at least.
Elizabeth looked up at Isaac and nodded. "I feel a little better. Though I don't know if I'm ready to be walking anywhere anytime soon." She chuckled. "I'm really thankful that you stopped me. Both baby and I would have been dead and my children would have been left alone. I didn't know how serious the situation was." She explained. Faye patted her shoulder. "We are here to help you in anyway that we can/" She assured the mother. Out of curiosity, if I were to have passed away, what would you do with my children?" She asked. She was afraid of the answer. They didn't seem like they would force them out of the house but she wouldn't blame them if they did since they weren't their children. |
"Well, I would have let them stay here at least until your husband got back. Though it would be hard to keep an eye on them during the day since we'd burn up, mostly me though. Faye can handle daylight better than I can. And if anything I'm afraid of what you're husband would do after finding out that you and the baby both died. Anyways, onto a brighter note, if you're fine I'm going to take Faye to the stairs into the lab and let your kids know they can come in. I taught them a song and they'd love to sing to you." He smiles, a bit envious of Elizabeth for her children.
|
Faye picked up on his jealousy. She didn't know how but she certainly felt that he was jealous of Elizabeth for some reason. Well, maybe it was her imagination. "Here, sorry I didn't offer this before but you my touch my stomach if you want." She placed the young lady's hand on her stomach just as the baby moved underneath her hand. Her face lit up with amazement. "Oh wow. That's...That's amazing, I wonder what it would feel like to have a child growing within me." She touched her stomach with her other hand and contemplated on being pregnant. She looked rather bummed that she wasn't carrying a child of her own, but could vampires have babies? She hoped so at least. The baby would have two loving parents, something she would never have. Isaac was the closest father figure she had but he was her mate. he really wished that she had parents, the thought made her homesick, she wished she could go back in time to where everything was all nice and wonderful between her and her parents. Her little brother was there. "T-thank you. I lost my parents at a young age and Isaac took me in then, I only had one little brother and I don't remember much about my mother's pregnancy with him." She explained. Getting up, using Isaac's scent, she walked over to him and laid her head on his shoulder. "Is it wrong for me to miss my parents?" She asked. As tears ran down her cheeks.
Elizabeth smiled. "Oh I would love to see them and hear them sing. I miss them so much already, I'mm not used to them being away. They are always right in view so I feel very anxious." She stated. She still didn't feel one hundred percent but she wanted to hear her children sing. |
Petting Faye's hair, Isaac tries to comfort her, giving her a moment before whispering into her ear, "No, we all yearn for our parents, even if what we remember of them is not all that pleasant. You could say its instinct." When Elizabeth says she'd like to see them he nods and leads Elizabeth back down stairs so that she's near the stairs down to the lab.
"I'll be back in a moment, and with everything I need to get the bed completely set up this time around." Then he heads back to the room the children are playing in a small smile on his face, "Alright you two, your mother is ready to see you. Now don't let her out of the bed too much, she should rest. I'll get dinner cooking in a bit and all three of you can eat up here, this way your mom can relax while with you two." He watches them run off to see their mother, then heads downstairs back to where the entrance is to grab the rest of what he needs for the bed. |
Elizabeth smiled and hugged her two children tightly. "I heard you two learn a song from Mister Isaac!" She told them. They both nodded their heads in excitement. "Yes mommy, wanna hear it?" Bridgette asked looking up at her mother with her big eye. "Of course I want to! She assured them. They both started singing, they did their best and a few parts they messed up on but they still recited the whole thing. "Next time you see Mister Isaac, be sur to thank him ok? Now, go get your toys, you two can slep in here for your nap if you want to." They both crawled into her bed and laid down. There was just enough room for them all.
It made Faye happy that Isaac gave her comfort. She then realized something. "Hey, aren't my parents your familiars also? You killed them so...I don't want to see them, I was just asking. Unless they were my parents who loved me. I don't want to see my parents who hated me. I really wish that it didn't come to that. I wish that we all just loved each other." Sh sighed. "So, what were you jealous about?" She asked him curiously. I could sense it when you were talking about her pregnancy." |
Setting the stuff down on the lid to Micah's coffin, Isaac gets to work finishing the bed while he answers, "Yes, since I consumed them they would have become my familiars. And I honestly can't say how they would feel about you, but since we know that Micah is actually alive they too would know he's alive. It's up to you if you want to talk to them." When Faye brings up his jealousy he can't help but blush a bit, "I was just wishing that we could also have some children, I haven't had a family in a long time and I want to be part of one again. My little sister was so much younger than me, so I adored her more like a daughter than a sister. Though if we do have children I'd be happy either way with a boy or a girl." Putting the finishing touches on the bed he smiles to himself, then takes Faye up in a hug, giving her a loving kiss, "I wish you could see my handiwork here, but you'll get to experience it the next time we lay down on it. I'll use your hands to show you where the lever is that will raise and lower the lid for the bed. And when Micah comes back I'll ask if he'd like for me to make something similar for him. But now I have to go back up and make dinner for everyone. Do you want to wait down here? I'm planning to bring the food upstairs to Elizabeth and the children."
|
Faye contemplated about the idea of seeing her parents. As much as she wanted loving parents, she wasn't sure how much they had changed. "No, not right now. Maybe later. I really don't want to see them and they still hate me." She sighed. Faye blushed as he mentioned about having children. Isaac wanted children with her right? He always said that she reminded him of his little sister and if he felt fatherly towards her, was this just fatherly love that he thought was him wanting to be intimate? She was a young child after all, he raised her for a good portion and he was more than double her age. Faye hadn't seen Isaac as a father figure in quite some time. Even triple more older. She smiled after the kiss and wrapped her arms around him. "I will go with you. But how late is it getting? I don't want the sun to go down and I turn in front of the children, or even Elizabeth, I don't really want them to see me change like that. And it will most likely scare the children." She stated. Her eyes sadden. "If we do have a child, I will never know that they look like."
|
"The sun is not yet setting, but its getting there, but I more so meant just being with me in the kitchen while I cook, and I can make something for you. There should at least be enough time for that before the sun is completely gone, I'm just wondering when your brother will return. I'm hoping you can get control over your transformation soon, I know its hard for you since you have no control over it and that it still hurts for you." Seeing Faye become sad again, "I can always describe how beautiful our child or children are to you, I'll paint a picture of words for you."
|
Faye rested her head onto Isaac. "Yeah but still, the children might come in and see me about to transform. It's not like thy are confined to that one area of the house. Kids are rambunctious!" She yawned and wrapped her arms around Isaac. "Yeah, I would love to have control but Alice said it would be really hard since I'm a bitten, I'm not a natural born wolf." She tried to keep a smile on her face, she didn't want to keep dragging down the mood. "So, if you want to have babies we will have to be intimate more often! But my brother's coffin has to be somewhere far away from us." She blushed as she grabbed his hand and interlocked fingers and kissed his hand. "I would love for you to paint a picture of words for me when the baby is born, if I can get pregnant." She touched her stomach and imagined what it felt like to have a child within her.
"I' rather hungry too, not for blood but I want meat. I still haven't eaten that bob cat, maybe I can eat that since I don't want it to go to waste. I think the cat would appreciate it also because then it wouldn't have died for nothing." She explained to him hoping it didn't sound weird. A shadow appeared and began to form that of a feline and turned into the bob cat she had killed. Faye could sense the creature so she knew it was there without having to see. "Hello there!" She smiled and petted the feline who purred at her touch. |
When Faye mentions her brother he blushes a bit himself, having gotten lost in the moment and forgot he was there before. "You forget, you're an Eve now, so there's a chance you might be able to control the transformations. Though we probably won't know for a while. But yes, food, I don't think the bobcat would mind. And now that you've got the bobcat you can probably walk around with it now instead of feeling guilty for me helping you." He gets out some chicken, broccoli, carrots and makes a raspberry dressing for the chicken. He cooks it all up, buttering some bread slices and toasting them in the oven for a bit.
Once everything is finished he grabs the plates and carefully goes up the stairs, "Well, you're dinner is here!" Isaac states as he enters the room, a bit of a smile on is face. |
Faye nodded in understanding. He was right, she was an Eve. She hoped that she would be able to control it sooner or later, though sooner would be better. She began to see something rather odd, a small orb was forming and began to grow into a shape of a feline. The orb was a light blue color. Looking at another orb that grew into a person, it was the color of blood. Staring shockingly at the thing, she walked over and touched it without realizing it was Isaac she was touching. But as she saw her hand, she saw a reddish purple color, like a blue and red were mixed, but the red was over powering the blue just a little bit. "Wow, this is really lovely! I can colors that's turning into you, me and the cat!" Sh explained as he cooked the food. When he went to give it to the family, she saw a white orb with a dark gray orb and it formed into the lady where as the white orb just stayed where her stomach was. The children were both this innocent bright yellow color. "Are you seeing this Isaac?!" She asked as she stared at the blood red color that she presumed was him. "I see everyone as colors, and all sorts of different colors at that!"
The children cheered as the food was ready and rushed over to eat. Though the oldest girl got the plate and handed it over to her mother. Elizabeth smiled. "Oh what a sweet girl you are, thank you." She kissed him. Emmett looked at his plate and walked over to his mother and offered her some food. "Oh, thank you sweetheart." She gave him a kiss and patted their heads. "Now, go on and eat." |
Not sure wait to say at first, Isaac thinks about what Faye says as he gives the family their food, "Just have the children leave the plates by the door, I'll come get them later." He makes his way back down and goes back to the kitchen where Faye is. Grabbing her chin he examines her eyes carefully, he knew that the strike from the silver sword had blinded her but didn't affect how her eyes looked since her vampire half healed her. Letting go he ponders a moment before speaking, "I think your sight is beginning to come back, but in a different way. I honestly didn't think it would come back this quickly if it did at all. This is amazing, this would mean that even if you were to take a serious injury like you didn't you'd still recover. Heck, I'd say you would be immortal since you'd have the healing powers of a vampire and a werewolf." Taking her hand he guides her to one of the chairs so that she may sit.
"Is it only being that you see in colors or is it also things like the table and chairs?" Isaac was wondering if the seeing in colors might be a side affect from the damage done to her eyes, or because she was an Eve her vision could be restoring itself into a different form. Maybe she'll have different kinds of visions she could use, like how certain reptiles have eyes that can move independently of one another. |
It mad her excited to hear that maybe her sight could be coming back after such grim news that sh may never be able to see again. The scar that was left across her eyes didn't fade though, it was still rather prominent. "If my sight i coming back then I will be able to see you and see our future child! This will be great!" She kissed Isaac and then sat back down and began to eat. "So far I can only see things that are living, or things that were once a live since the bob cat isn't alive and yet I can still see it." She reached down and petted the bobcat who followed her to the chair and gave a kiss on its head. "Such a good kitty." She smiled, making the bobcat purr at her.
Twitching her ears, she heard three screams which alarmed her. "Something's wrong! Something's wrong with Elizabeth I think!" She told Isaac. Without waiting for him, she rushed upstairs, though she bumped into several things along the way but she knew the house well, it was mostly newer items that she bumped into. Without thinking about the children being there, she burst through the door but didn't see anything noticeably wrong. "Elizabeth, what's wrong?" She asked. Elizabeth placed a hand on her stomach, c-contractions...It was a bad one and it scared the kids." She explained. The children stared up wide eyed at her ears, her tail was hidden underneath the dress. "She has puppy ears mommy!" Bridgette stated as she pointed. The children rushed over to her and tried to reach up to touch them. "Ah, I wanna touch the ears." She stated. Faye giggled and sat down as the children grabbed them and messed with her head. |
"Wait, Faye!" But she was already running upstairs, Isaac following behind her. He gets there in time to hear about the contractions, and gives a sigh of relief, and another sigh of relief that the children didn't freak out from Faye being there.
"Well, I guess you could say the 'wolf' is out of the bag now. I don't know if we should tell them everything thing and just get it down and over with. Though I'm still worried about your husband Elizabeth, I still don't think he's ready yet to hear about this. I'd rather not do a blood pact with them since they are still so young. Maybe a promise to not tell their father would be enough since they don't really leave the property..." He rubs at the back of his head as he begins pacing back and forth, trying to figure out the best way to handle this situation now that what Faye is has kind of been revealed. |
Elizabeth giggled as she noticed how the children were reacting to Faye. Looking over at Isaac, she shook her head. "Please don't worry about it ok?" She told him. "When the time comes, I will tell him myself and get him to understand. But they are pretty good at keeping quiet with secrets. They are really good about keeping quiet." She assured Isaac. "Bridgette, Emmett, I need both of you to not talk about this with daddy ok? He can't know about this just yet ok?" She said to them. "Ok mommy. Brother, it's a secret ok? Don't tell!" Bridgette kissed her brother's cheek. "O-tay!" He nodded. They should worry more about the daughter more so than the on since he could barely speak. Plus, if they did say anything, it would just be a fantasy that they created so he wouldn't believe that what they were saying was the truth anyway. "What's your name?" The young girl asked.
"I'm Faye, the doggie that you had earlier. That was me but I don't know how to turn into it just yet." She stated. Elizabeth cried out in pain again. "What's wrong mommy?" Elizabeth smiled. "N-nothing sweetheart. Nothing to worry about." She smiled. |
Isaac laughs a bit nervously at how silly he was being, "You're right, you know your children best. Well, I might was well let them in on my secret then. Would you two like to see what I am?" He crouches down so he's more on their level, letting his eyes turn red and pulling up his upper lip so that they can see his fangs. "I'm kind of like Faye but different, you also have to keep this from your daddy, okay? Most people get scared of people like me and Faye easily, so we used to move around to avoid scaring people. But we want a place to call home just like you." This all comes out a bit weird since he's saying while holding the lip up. When Elizabeth cries out in pain again Isaac immediately stands up and rushes over to her.
"I'm going to check on the baby." Gently he places a hand on her belly, trying to since the life energy of the baby in her, listening for the flow of blood being transferred from Elizabeth to the baby girl in her. |
The young boy moved back as Isaac flashes his eyes and fangs. It scared him a lot. "You scared my brother!" The sister pointed out. She was also scared. "Hey, that's just Isaac showing you a different side of him! It's very rude to be scared of himm when Faye is almost just like him, she even has another set of fangs on her bottom teeth and this is how you're going to react to someone who has been very good to us?" Elizabeth scolded her children feeling utterly guilty about their reaction. "We're sorry mamma." They both sang. She gave them a stern look. "I'm not the one you need to apologize to." She stated. The two children turned towards Isaac. "We're sorry Mister Isaac sir." They apologized. They were feeling guilty now. Bridgette opened up his mouth to take a peek a his sharp fangs. Getting entranced, she poked it at the sharp end and sliced her finger, some of her blood trickled down into his mouth as she immediately pulled it back. Tears began to well up in her eyes.
Faye was looking at the children in a daze. She was admiring their color, and not just theirs but everyone's. They all looked so pretty. She loved Isaac's the best, he had such a pretty red color. But she was interrupted when Elizabeth began moaning. "Isaac, she's going into labor." She stated and no sooner after she said that did her water actually broke. "Faye, will you please watch my children? And Isaac, only because you're a doctor, will you assist me?" She asked him. Faye lat them hug their mother before ushering them out of the door. Both grabbed her hand and walked her to the other room where their toys were. |
Hearing the children getting scared of him he inches away from them, he didn't want them to feel like he was going to do anything to them. When Elizabeth, he smiles a bit nervously, "Well, I can't say I didn't expect this reaction, after all most of my kind that I have met would not be like me." Though when they apologize he waves his hand like he's alright with it, letting Bridgette look at his fangs. Isaac doesn't realize what she's doing until she's already started bleeding, which he quickly pulls out some bandaging cloth and wraps her finger with it. He can't help that her blood got into his mouth, but he swallows it anyways, just those few drops giving him more energy. "No more poking, my incisors are very sharp."
Hearing that Elizabeth is going into labor Isaac quickly rolls up his sleeves and grabs a scarf to wrap around his face. He's not concerned about getting the baby sick from germs or anything since vampires can't contract human illnesses, but rather he was trying to avoid the smell of blood as much as possible. Calling forth a humanoid familiar he has them get water boiling to clean up after the baby is born and another to grab him some gloves. While waiting he helps her get comfortable as much as possible, then cleans his hands in the boiling water before putting the sterile gloves on. "Alright, try to breath as easily as possible, screaming will only make things worse. When I tell you to push, push as hard as you can and then take a break. We'll keep going like that. If the baby is having trouble coming out I'll have to do something else, but we'll worry about that when it happens." |
After taking the children to the room, she smiles at the children. "Look, I have four sharp teeth, I'm worse than Isaac, and my eyes also turn red, especially when I'm hungry. It's just that, I'm a wolf an Isaac isn't. That's why I have these ears and I also have a tail, see?" She tried her best to get her tail out of her dress by cutting a hole with her nails. The children's eyes lit up as they went to touch it and play with her tail. "Wow!" They exclaimed. Faye called forth the bobcat and it appeared in front of them, scaring them a big but they couldn't believe what they witnessed. They petted the cat happily. "Isaac can also do that. He raised me since I was a young girl and even protected me from people who weren't very nice to me. So don't be scared ok?" She patted their head. "Can I become like you?" Bridgette questioned. She frowned and shook her head. "N-no. You don't want to become like me. It may seem fun but it's really really dangerous." She explained to them. Some people would be scared of you and not like you because of what you are." She continued to explain to them.
Elizabeth did as instructed except for the screaming part and was having such a hard time to get the baby to come out. "That bastard, he's not even here for this! He was never here for any of the children's births!" She yelled out in anger. Hr frustration with him was coming out in full force. I don't care if I will be scorned by the public, I will divorce him! None of friends or family ever had a husband like this! I don't care about money, I just want my husband home everyday!" She was talking to no one in particular, just yelling it out to help her anger and frustration push the baby out of her. With all of the pint up emotions that she hid for years, it all just came out in one go. The baby's was just beginning to crown when she took a break. She was becoming weak. "I-I don't know i-if I can push..." She said but the pain from the contractions mad her have no choice since she wanted the pain to go away. She just continued to push as best as she could, somehow finding that little bit of strength to finally deliver the baby. |
Isaac listens in silence, hearing everything she says but concentrating on having them both come out of this alive. As soon as the baby is out he quickly ties the cord, cutting it, and wraps the baby in a clean blanket that one of the familiars hands him, then has the familiar hand the baby to Elizabeth.
"It's a baby girl, I'll ask about the name in a moment, there's just one more thing I need you to do. I need you to push one more time to get the placenta out, then you can rest as long as you want. This shouldn't be nearly as painful, but it will hurt because you will be a little sore." Once he gets the placenta out he puts it in a dish to dispose of along with the dirtied blankets. Taking a soft towel he dips it into the hot water, soaking the water. Once soaked he holds it up to let cool a bit before using it to clean and warm the baby. She has slightly blue hands and feet because of the cord having been wrapped around her while in the womb. Even though she's a bit on the small side because of it she still looks healthy enough to live. "Let me finish cleaning up and the children can come in to see her, and you can let them know her name. I'll run down and grab the documents to fill out while Faye spends some time with you." |
Elizabeth nodded knowing about the placenta. It was her third child so by her second she knew what to expect. She began laughing as she saw her baby girl. "Oh she's so beautiful!" She said before pushing out the placenta. "I'm really sorry, I made a mess of everything. But thank you for helping me through this. I really appreciate it." She bounced the baby in her arms after Isaac cleaned hr up a bit. "There's no question in my mind on what her name should be. Emi, I think it's perfect and I know Bridgette would love it. "Such a good girl." She kissed her head. "Yes, and I want o nurse her before they come in anyway." Though she could put a blanket or towel over her. She helped the baby latch on though she did have some difficulties but was fine after a while. There were tears streaming down her face as she just stared at the baby. "Do you think she has any brain damage from the cord being wrapped around her neck?" She asked in concern.
|
Sighing, Isaac thinks for a moment, honestly not certain, "I honestly cannot say until she's older since children develop at their own speed. So I probably cannot say for certain until she's at least a year old or so. Though she might be slow at catching on to speech, I've read some journals where the babies were perfectly fine having been born with the cord around their necks. Seems that they don't begin breathing completely on their own until the cord has been cut. But this is hard to verify and was noted by a doctor that helps with a lot of child births. So hopefully that will give you some peace of mind since it seems unlikely anything will be wrong with Emi." Bowing to her he disposes of everything with black fire and gives Elizabeth a clean blanket for Emi. "Now, let me inform the children that they can see you and Emi in a few moments." He closes the door so that she can have some privacy then goes into the next room to check on Faye and the children. "Well, you have a baby sister now, just give your mother a few moments to rest before going in. She'll tell you your little sister's name. Faye, I'm going down to my lab to get the papers for the baby, so I'll be back."
When he gets to the lab he grabs the papers, and see the empty envelopes and blank sheets and sighs. He might end up regretting this, but he at least wants to try since Faye gave him another chance, why can't Lucien try to make his wife happy and be home for her? Then he realizes it probably won't mean anything to write a letter, Elizabeth and her children can't read, so Lucien is probably in the same boat. Shaking off his depression he fills out the papers and brings the pen with him for Elizabeth to sign. Since he had already written her name out as the mother he can tell her to try writing what he had for her signature. |
Elizabeth nurses the baby. She contemplated on Isaac's words. She wondered if Lucien would stay home now since there's something wrong with the baby, potentially. Daddy does love us. Yes he does, he just has to work away from us all the time. She was sore but glad that everything went smoothly. After some time had passed, Faye entered as a wolf with the children and a bobcat. And yet she wasn't startled knowing that it wasn't alive. She was too used to this supernatural life. "I have a baby sister now?!" Bridgette exclaimed excitedly as she rushed over with her little brother. "What's her name mommy?" Hr big eyes looked at the baby curiously. "Emi." That brought the biggest smile to her face. "R-really? Her name is rally Emi?!" She asked to make sure. Elizabeth nodded. "Yes. I know how much you miss her so I thought naming your baby sister after her would be fitting don't you think?" She and her husband had already two names picked out, one for a boy and one for a girl, and Emi wan't the choice. But since Lucien was never around anyway, she didn't care if he didn't like it. Maybe if he was around more often she would consider his opinion more. All he was, was just income. Of course she loved him, but bit by bit she was forgetting that love. Even the children really don't know their father.
Fay sniffed the baby and licked it a couple times. As Isaac came back into the room with the papers. Elizabeth blushed as she couldn't read anything. "I-i'n sorry, I-I don't understand what it is that you want me to do. I-I can't read or write." She admitted again thinking he may have forgotten. |
"It's alright, this part here that I've written? I just want you to try imitating what I had done for your name. It's just a record for patients, and normally I'd just have you put a cross mark for your name, but since I'm going to be teaching you all how to read and write I figured you seeing how your name looks would be best. And having you try writing it would probably make you feel better." He offers to hold the baby for her while she signs, kneeling down so that the children and Faye can have a little at the new baby Emi. Isaac can't help but smile, his eyes swirling between red and molten gold. When Elizabeth is finished he hands Emi back to her, then stands by Faye, petting her head affectionately.
Then a thought occurs to him, "Micah has been gone for a while, I hope he'll be home soon. Though he'll probably still be mad at me for letting you do what you did. Anyways, I'm going to head down stairs to clean up the dishes. Elizabeth, tomorrow I'll try to start teaching your children how to read and write, every time I try to though something always comes up. |
Elizabeth did her best, this was the first time she had held a pen, which resembled that of a child learning how to write, she wrapped her hand all around it and tried her bet to copy his writing but one could tell which one was her writing and which one was his. Her face was riddled with embarrassment as she looked at it. "It's not really good. I don't even think you can read it." She told him. It just looked like scribbles to be honest but she did try her best. "I don't really feel better, I feel worse actually. I wish we lived in a society where anyone can become educated no matter how rich or poor. I know there's a handful of women who were able to surpass the social norm and actually hold down a job. I think it's great!" She explained. She thought about her children's future and felt like because they weren't a part of the high class society that they wouldn't be able to have a future.
Faye nuzzled her head into Isaac to show her affection to him. She wagged her tail, she hadn't seen her brother in quite some time, he must be resting up from whatever he was doing. She wished that the two would become friends one day, hopefully soon but that was highly doubtful. |
"Well, it's only for my personal records, so it doesn't really matter. I'll be the only one to see it unless someone with authority in the medical field issues a notice requesting patient information. I'll let you be with your children. Can you two take care of your mother and Emi? The baby may start crying in the middle of the night. And help you're mom during the day too. If you want Bridgette you can help your mother walk around a little to help get her strength back. But now I must get going, I'll make sandwiches for you all to have for tomorrow, I'll keep it in the cold box." Closing the door behind him he makes his way back down to the kitchen, making the sandwiches and putting them away, then cleans up the mess in the kitchen. He's debating on making a coffin like his own for Micah, but is not sure if that's alright with him. Getting out a piece of paper he tries drawing out how he can add on Micah's own room, maybe a hidden room before the lab? But it would be hard to hide it. Maybe another entrance behind one of the cabinets. He's have to anchor it to the wall so that it was just off the floor, but he'd be able to have his own room. Issac would just have to dig out the space and then use mortar to give it a finished look like his room. Though he definitely wouldn't have time to do that today since he'd have to cut through the mortar already up in the lab and everything. The room wouldn't be too big though, there is not much room to work with since things didn't go as he had expected.

The children nodded and then went over to their mother as they all just watched the new baby. "We will get you back up and going in no time mamma!" She smiled brightly at her mother. "Thank you sweetheart." She kissed her head. "You two only worry about playing and having fun. I will deal with the baby ok?" She told them and smiled.
Faye went to see her brother, leaving Isaac alone for a bit. Micah smiled as he saw his sister. "Hey, you ok? How's you're body?" He asked as he continued to pet her. She nodded her head to let him know she was alright. "Faye, I want us to be brother and sister again...w-without anyone interfering. I just want us to be a family, elsewhere." He told her and then rubbed his head. "I will have to leave town soon or stay hidden in here until we move because I...I did some things I'm not proud of. It's just so hard to take control of the hunger. Turning into a wolf was easier since I didn't need blood to survive. I didn't have that instinct to kill that almost all new werewolves feel. But this is so much worse. How do you handle it?" He questioned. Faye frowned as she walked closer to him and placed her head on his lap to comfort him. Maybe Isaac's blood would help him. She had a problem with controlling herself but it wasn't to the point she would kill someone. Plus, Isaac was always there next to her to prevent her from doing so, especially when she fed off of the one man before. Isaac was the key, maybe it was his blood that kept her in check to where she didn't go on a killing spree. He would definitely need more blood from Isaac. Sh pulled on him to get him up, sighing Micah reluctantly followed her to where she wanted to take him which was to Isaac. He noticed the second he saw the door to the basement. Faye was doing her best to not bump into anything. Before, it seemed like since she was in a hurry that she knew how to navigate the house but now, since it wasn't an emergency, she couldn't tell but her brother stopped her from bumping into anything. "Isaac, I'm assuming my sister wants m to ask you for help. You can probably smell the people I have killed on me and how many. I can't control myself. You turned me into this and I expect for you to get me to stop." He stated. He didn't like what he had become. |
As Micah entered he could tell that he reeked of human blood, he was just glad that he had at least left the house and wasn't around when Elizabeth gave birth. Flipping the pen around he tips the pen on his table, "It's not a simple 'fix' like stitching a small cut. All vampires start off with that uncontrollable urge. With Faye she was instinctively drawn to my blood, so her craving for my blood overrode her other urges. I'm not so sure if you'll be the same way or not, but its worth a try." Taking his letter opener out of his pocket he slices his palm open and holds his hand out to Micah, hoping that it could help curve the hunger.
"You can also drink animal blood, it will not be as nourishing as human blood, but it should be enough to curb your hunger. Then, since you're also part wolf, you should also be able to eat the animal afterwards as well. So its usually best to go for rabbits, hares and boars when it comes to meals. A vampire's blood is very nourishing, even more so than humans, but we're not drawn to it like we are to humans." |
Micah huffed as he raked back his hair only to release and have it fall into his face as he looked down. He began to sniff the air as the scent of blood hit his nose and as he looked up, he noticed that it was Isaac's blood. For some reason, he knew it would come to this. "I wish you hadn't of turned me. When I first became a wolf, that was easier compared to this. And just so you know, once I gain back control of myself, me and my sister will leave, without you, without those humans, just us two together." He warned. Faye looked up at Isaac and shook her had, she never agreed to that, she couldn't live without Isaac. Her brother should know of all people the importance of a mate. Finally, Micah couldn't take it anymore and he grabbed Isaac's hand and sucked his blood. Faye knew that this was all to help him but the thought of anyone drinking her mate's blood angered her. She wasn't used to that.
"I hate it when anyone drinks Isaac's blood. Man, woman, it doesn't matter. I'm sorry for having such bad thoughts brother." Sh said in her mind not realizing that now because of their bond that Isaac could actually hear her. Once he was finished, he wiped his mouth and felt disgusted with himself. He wasn't hungry for blood and yet he couldn't help but take Isaac's. He sensed his sister's jealousy and understood why. He petted her head to hopefully make her feel more at ease. "So basically it's like a child hating their vegetables? It's good for them but they don't want it correct?" He questioned and then yawned. |
He didn't comment on what Micah had said because he knew well enough that getting Faye to live his side would probably involve him being killed, but he would rather Micah realize that on his own. Though he is a bit shocked hearing Faye's voice in his head, not having expected that. Though, luckily for him Micah has a bit more control than Faye did in the beginning, probably because he had been a wolf already for a long time. But he still became weak afterwards, but does his best to at least hide it from Micah since he doesn't think he can hide it from Faye.
"Well, either way, I'm going to start making a room for you to stay in for at least the time being. Faye had already asked me to do that, and I'll see about making you a better coffin to sleep in. Vampires don't have to go to ground unless they are severally wounded, and just having something to stop the light coming in is all they need when it comes to sleep. Though what with you being like Faye, you can withstand the sunlight better, so you might be able to just use a normal bed, unless you want a lead you can lift and lower like the one I made for Faye and myself?" |
