Blaze nodded a little like that's exactly what she had expected. "He's strong," she noted as she slowly slipped her hand out of his.

The doctor smiled a little as he nodded, "He's pulling through so far. I'm glad to hear we will be back at James's in a matter of days if everything goes according to plan. The travel will be rough on him, but then he'll have the stability he needs."

Blaze nodded.

Hours passed and still the conversation over the loudspeakers went on and on. However, one thing had changed, James's voice had disappeared from the conversation about an hour into it. The rest of the voices remained the same.

The doctors were hard at work starting to prep Kale for the transfer.

Frei stirred in Raven's arms as the movie ended, looking up at him. It wasn't clear what she thought but she seemed... content, if not pleased.

Blaze went back to reading.

Raven glanced down at Frei. "How are you feeling?" he asked.

Frei nodded a little before a small yawn escaped her lips.

Raven nodded back. "Time for a nap?" he asked.

Frei thought about it for a moment then nodded again, moving to get up.

Raven didn't let her as he picked her up and started heading for her room.

Frei blinked and stared at Raven's face the entire way, confused.

And suddenly the voices stopped; a slow, spin-chilling scream growing steadily in volume until Kalma's voice could be heard and the intercom clicked off.

Raven didn't let it bother him as he tucked her in bed.

That got Blaze's attention. She glanced at Kale before putting the tablet down and quickly going to see what the problem was. Yue wasn't far behind.

There was a rather large commotion in the hallway. In the middle of it all was Kalma and James. James was half-hiding behind Kalma, eyes looking rather terrified as he looked over the crowd. One look at his eyes was to enough to tell that he didn't recognize anything. He was talking quietly to himself, too quietly to be overheard, and occasionally his head would twitch to the right as if something from that direction irritated him.

Kalma was trying to get through the crowd, telling... no more like warning everyone to stay back.

Frei's eyes still hadn't left Raven's and after he tucked her in, her eyes narrowed slightly. "You're a lot like Ryu." she decided quietly.

Blaze slowed down, a little disappointed. But Yue tried to get a better look.

Raven chuckled. "No I'm not," he argued and bent down, kissing Frei's forehead. "I'm more fun," he whispered with a smile before standing up.

Suddenly a man got too close and the fear in James's eyes turned to panic. Instincts seemed to kick in and in a flash, the man was on the ground with James raving on top of him. It was the voice Yue might have heard before, the voice that changed tone and pitch nearly ever syllable, the voice that was unsettling to listen too. He wasn't even making sense, ranting nonsensical words as he kept the man pinned.

Kalma let out a heavy sigh and glared at the bystanders as if telling them 'I told you so.'

Frei shrugged a little, "Ryu used to be fun too." she replied before yawning again, "You're like... the young Ryuji. Though..." she seemed to ponder something for a moment, "he was more girly." she decided with a slow nod.

"James!" Yue called as she got closer, but not too close just yet.

Raven chuckled a little. "Get some rest," he told Frei as he started to walk out.

Kalma flashed Yue a warning look. James didn't react to his name, just the shout. His eyes found hers and slowly he frowned, still talking to himself. A deep confusion slowly grew in his eyes but along with it came more shaking. There was no light behind his eyes, he didn't recognize her either, but something kept his eyes on her. He looked terrified once more until a shrill call echoed throughout the hall. A few of the bystanders winced, covering their ears. But James instantly looked at Kalma and when she motioned to him, he got off the man who hurriedly crawled away. Kalma went over to him and took his arm, James's eyes didn't leave hers as she brought him to his feet.

"He wore a dress once." Frei suddenly stated as Raven started to leave, a bit of amusement seeping into her voice.

When he didn't recognize her, she didn't get any closer. Instead, she let Kalma handle it.

Raven chuckled. "Go to sleep," he replied.

Kalma turned, this time everyone quickly got out of the way. She led James off down the hallway and partway down he suddenly began to scream again. Like before, it changed so much it sounded like no one in particular. Kalma grabbed him and suddenly slammed him against the wall, holding him there with surprising strength until he calmed down.

Frei smiled slight before turning over.

When Kalma took control of the situation, Blaze started back toward infirmary. Yue stuck around for a little while before turning and starting to walk off. But after a few steps she stopped. She stood there for a long time before walking back toward Kalma and James.

So Raven left her to sleep.

Kalma seemed to finally get James under control by the time Yue started walking over. She raised an eyebrow at her, eyes still expressing some warning. James didn't see Yue, eyes staring at the floor.

"... Can he understand anything?" she asked Kalma quietly.

Kalma shrugged.

So Yue got a little closer. She stopped a few feet away, also looking at the ground before looking up at James. She looked afraid. But not of him. "Tell me," she told James. "Tell me again what Dominic thinks."

James's eyes flicked up to Yue and then away again, he seemed to be fighting something within himself. He tried to shy away from her, some of his internal battle showing through onto his face. After a moment Kalma sighed, "I don't think-" and was cut off mid-sentence as James suddenly slammed the back of his head against the wall so hard he knocked himself out. Kalma cussed as she caught him, keeping him from falling to the floor.

Yue was a little startled. She seemed partially relieved for a fraction of a second before cussing a little, getting a bit angry.

Kalma let James slid to the floor before turning to Yue, "Now that you've knocked him out, help me carry him to his room." she ordered crossly.

"He knocked himself out," Yue spat. "Now how the terra am I supposed to-..." But she stopped herself before she said anything more. And before Kalma could ask, she grabbed a hold of James' feet.

Kalma shook her head and grabbed James's arm, starting to hoist him up, "Get under the other shoulder and we can drag him between us." she explained, still irritated.

Yue didn't say anything as she dropped his feet and grabbed his other arm.

Kalma lead Yue into James's room and then into a small offshoot of it. This room had slightly padded walls and no furniture. She motioned Yue to let James settle on the floor before going to get a small medical kit.

Yue glanced around, a little of the guilt and anger fading away. This wasn't all that rare if he had a special room. But she frowned, feeling a bit sorry for him. She carefully straightened out his hair so Kalma could get a better look at where he had hit his head. "... He stole my world," she barely whispered in his ear. "It was too much... So I learned to hate him. And now, years later, he did it again. Everything he touches shatters... His life... everything about him... He's a..." but she didn't finish, not wanting to get caught by Kalma talking to James.

Nic had been rolling his shoulder a bit, and now he was stretching. It looked like his back was irritating him.

Kalma quickly dressed James's bump and motioned for Yue to leave with her. "You shouldn't be in here when he wakes." she told her, "The next stage is anger. You might end up hurt." she added as she walked towards the door.

Laurel had noticed awhile ago. She put down his jacket from which she was trying to remove an old stain and sighed. "It's no wonder your back hurts." she informed him tartly, "Can I rub it out for you?"

Yue took Kalma's advice, leaving with her.

"... No," Nic replied. "It's the scars, not the muscles."

Kalma sighed as she took a seat on James's bed, "I hope he gave them enough time... it's been a long time since he's managed to hold it together for so long." she mused, glancing at Yue.

Laurel frowned, "Scars hurt?" she inquired.

Yue didn't look like she planned to stick around and chat as she headed for the door.

--

"... Sometimes... they get stiff," Nic tried to explain.

Kalma sighed, "He'll be lost for awhile." she informed Yue before she left, "He'll most likely be violent with even you. He'll easily hurt you worse than last time in his current state." she cautioned her.

Laurel pondered that for a moment, "Have you tried putting lotion on them?"

Yue didn't reply as she left.

"Not really," he replied.

"That should help." Laurel explained, "I did it for my father sometimes when..." her voice trailed off for a moment but she quickly cleared her throat, "It loosens them up."

"... I'll find something later to put on it," he decided as he turned back to his work.

"... I'll close my eyes." Laurel offered quietly, "It'll only take a minute. I promise it'll feel better." There was a pleading note in her voice, she wanted to help.
