Renee nodded and disappeared, she landed in the LTG's office at the main house. She felt wrong going through his things, but again she had to.
Michael looked up at the ceiling, What is she doing? He thought to himself. He held up his hand towards the man that was speaking, without a word he disappeared. |
The man looked over to Riesz, "Follow her as close as you can..I don't care what you have to do, don't let her out of your sight. I know she's not here of her own will, I can sense it. Fine out what she is up to."
She nodded, looking to the half breed, "You will not leave the city limits...I don't want you anywhere near the House." With that, she disappeared. She reappeared outside the main house, smoothing her jacket out, Here goes everything...Thanatos better appreciate this.. With that, she stepped inside... |
As Michael appeared he put a strong telekinetic block on the room, "They aren't here Renee." He crossed his arms and leaned up against the wall.
Renee didn't jump, she knew he was coming and she wanted him to. She slammed the drawer that she was looking in shut, "I'm assuming you know that I need you too." She crossed her arms. "You are correct." He sighed. "If you can actually best me I will tell you were the files are." He smirked. "Damn it... Michael... I don't have time for your goddamn games." She narrowed her eyes. He shrugged, "Fine, then I wont tell you where they are. And I will send you back to him empty handed." Which he really wouldn't do. Renee sighed as she disappeared, she reappeared as she jammed her Kukri into Michael's abdomen. She brought the blade up as she mouthed "I'm sorry." "Where are the files?" She pushed the knife further in, making it scrape against Michael's spine. Michael winced but looked down at the girl, "Nice move, but I let you have that one." He groaned slightly. He held up his hand and two black folders appeared in his hands. "I am very proud of you Renee." He smiled weakly. Renee sighed, "Thanks, you know he will probably kill you right?" She watched his head nod. "And this I am also sorry about." A dagger appeared in her hand. She brought the knife up and jammed it into Michael's skull, she made sure it went far enough in to disable his powers. She let the unconscious Michael fall, she grabbed a chair and moved it close to Michael. She picked him up and set him into the chair, "Better be worth it." With that she disappeared with Michael and the folders. |
Riesz was instantly stopped by many guards. She held up her hands, "Fellas, please. Is this how you welcome back the wonderful Riesz Thrane?" They held their weapons to her and she could feel many telekinetic blocks around her. She dragged her finger from her eye to her chin in a fake tear, "That hurts you guys. You're heartless~": She reached into her pocket, pulling a four star patch, holding it between her index and middle fingers like a card, "Is that any way to treat your General?"
The guards lowered their weapons slightly, and she smiled, "I will to speak to Galen, and I will help myself to the Council Room. Alright?" She replaced the pinned patch to her pocket stepping forward as they moved away, "Very good. I will be sure to let him know of your marvelous effort to keep the Rouges out." She headed down the hallway, her head held high as many other vampires became wary of her presence. They knew something was up. She came up to the Council Room, striding in with almost no respect for the protocol they demanded. She walked right up to Galen's desk, slamming her patch down on the top, leaning on her hand as she glared at him, "We may have had our disagreement's in the past...but you know you need me now more than ever. Don't deny it Galen..." The man narrowed his eyes at her, "I don't want you anywhere near us, Rouge. I have a much more reliable man as my General now...I don't need you at all. Get out, before I kill you myself." She stood off the desk, lifting her hands in the air a bit as she turned on her heels, "Be reasonable Galen. You desire the information I know about the Rouges and their extremely powerful leader...hell you guys don't even know his name yet~" She took a few steps forward as she spoke, then turned when she was finished. After a pause she spoke again, "Come on Galen...I come here out of sincerity...I honestly want to come back to the House. I realize, that He is wrong in his logic and that the way we've always done things is unbreakable and sound." Galen lifted the patch, pulling the stars from it, then throwing it at her, "I don't trust you in the slightest..I want proof you're here for us. Get out..now..This is your last warning." "You will come for me in time...you know exactly where to find me." She caught the patch with a wink and vanished. She would wait until Galen gave up. His desire for knowledge and power would eventually lead to him at least welcoming her back as a Captain...she'd work up from there. At least, then she'd be able to keep an eye on Renee when she was at the House. She detested being here, but she would obey Thanatos. With that, she vanished, reappearing next to Thanatos, "Only a matter of time~" |
Renee appeared a foot of so in front of the man. Her Kukri was in her belt and was fully clean. "Two birds, one stone." She handed the black folders over to the man and crossed her arms.
He nodded to Riesz, "I said 'The folders first' Renee. I did not want Mr. Micheal Waldemar yet..."
Riesz stepped down, snatching the folders from Renee and handing them back to Thanatos without a word. He sighed a bit, taking the folders lightly from Riesz, "Thank you..now, as for you Renee, I do appreciate your..enthusiasm...but I need someone who will listen to my instructions word for word. I do not require the LTG's presence right now..get rid of him. I don't want him waking up here...send him back to his room or where ever, I don't care." |
"Yes sir and sorry." Renee nodded. "After I return him what do you want me to do?" She stepped back so she was standing right next to the LTG.
"Just go about your daily business. I have much information to look through right now." He shooed her away again, standing from the chair and heading off while he glanced at the first few pages in the folders.
Renee nodded again as she put her hand on the LTG's shoulder, after a moment they disappeared. They landed in the LTG's room, "Well that was..." She trailed off not knowing what to say. She started to undress the LTG to get him cleaned up.
Sanai sighed as she read over the files, throwing the file she currently held back onto the desk. She knew all this information by heart already, she only requested it to occupy her time. Not to mention, 90% of it was black lined. She shook her head in disgust then leaned back in the chair, waiting for something to do.
Renee sat the LTG into a chair as she removed the dagger from his forehead. She healed the wound and made sure he was dressed, she put a note in the LTG's pocket.
The note read: I like cats, not that I don't like hounds. I suppose all animals are nice. ~Renee She watched the LTG intently, when she felt him starting to wake she teleported him to Sanai. |
Sanai peered over as the LTG appeared, half conscious, "Well then..." She knocked the LTG slightly upside the head with a bit of telekinesis, "Wake up Micheal.." She stood, going over as she saw something sticking from his pocket. She tilted her head, pulling it out and reading it. I should have never sent her to do this...
"Ow!" Michael rubbed his head. "Renee really know where to drive a knife into the brain." He groaned as his power came back all at once. He looked to Sanai, "She said she could do it Sanai. Which I still believe she can." He stood up and noticed that he was in a different outfit. "She did not change my clothes!" His eyes were wide at the fact that she did.
"If she's even the slightest bit doubtful, they will figure out who she is. And, I'm hearing a lot of buzz about the Former General..." She sighed, raising a brow as his reaction, "Well she couldn't leave you in bloody clothes now could she?"
"I know they will. I was wondering what happened to her." Michael pondered for a moment. "Yes she could of..." He trailed off. "There has to be a way to get Renee more comfortable with this mission. There is no way we could pull her out now." He sighed as he rubbed his head.
Sanai shook her head, "I certainly cannot go in there; they know my face very well...I could change my form a bit, but they'd still recognize my aura or something else that will give me away." She crossed her arms over her chest with a frown, "Any other bright ideas?"
Michael crossed his arms, "Now don't get snippy with me Major General." He sighed. Suddenly he became shorter, and his hair turned light pink as he started looking like Renee. When he looked exactly like Renee, aura and all he put his hand on his throat manipulating his vocal cords. "Can you see a difference?" His voice came out like Renee's. He waited for a few minutes before he changed back. He cleared his throat, "I have another idea..." He trailed off as he sat in a chair.
Sanai scoffed with a nod, "Even though your replication is good, I can still sense the difference. Do tell your other idea..I'm sure mine isn't as..appealing to anyone as yours will be." She crossed her arms over her chest, watching him with a flat expression.
Michael stood and walked over to Sanai when he was close enough a folder appeared in his hand. "We 'kill' Renee." He handed the folder to Sanai. "Lieutenant Colonel Jessica Watson. A very good girl, a newly turned pure. Who I have been watching over since her parents died five years ago." He crossed his arms. "I summon Renee and she kills Jessica by draining her blood. She will gain Jessica's most powerful ability, shape shifting." He paused for a moment. "And then we stage Renee's death and she assumes Jessica's identity." He looked at Sanai. "You have to be the one to 'pull the trigger'."
"Why is it that you and I always have the same ideas?" She glanced through the folder, "Plausible, but we need someone on the inside with the Rouges. We need to know just what Class half-breeds they have and how many. I suppose...after we 'kill' her, we can work on specialized training...to mold her personality..." She sighed handing the folder back, "It's up to you though..you are the commanding officer here...And what of the Council? Galen will not be pleased the Lieutenant Colonel will be missing.."
"We are just that awesome." Michael grinned. "I know we do Sanai." He sighed. "Well I will have a hand in the training of Renee as well." He ran his hand through his hair. "The LTC wont be missing, Renee will be Jessica."
The Major General pinched the bridge of her nose with an irritated sigh, "The more I think about it now, the less I am liking this plan. I want to give Renee a chance to settle into the mission before we go through with this. If she disappears after just meeting the Rouges, they will know something it up."
"Ok Sanai, I trust your judgement." Michael turned around. "One week. If she still isn't comfortable with the mission, we will go through with this plan." He held up the folder. "So do everything you can to get her into the right mindset." He paused. "Then again who knows I might not be alive in a weeks time."
"You will be alive...whoever their leader is, and I'm going to assume he's male just to be done with that, he will need more than a week to plan. By the way, what was in the folders he requested?"
"The folders contained information about a man named Thanatos and the former General." Michael shrugged. "Mainly about Riesz." He glanced back to Sanai. "Those folders aren't complete, I have the 'complete' folders hidden. And where... I do not know, that information died with Major General Marcs."
Sanai frowned, "Well that was genius of you Micheal...absolutely genius." She shook her head a bit, pacing back and forth in the house. "Did you ever read the completed files?" She glanced back to him with her icy eyes, "Oh wait..let me guess..no..that died with the Major General?"
"Watch it Sanai." Michael narrowed his eyes. "Not fully." He sighed.
Renee appeared a few feet away from Michael, "Wow tension party of two." She chuckled slightly. "You two should just do it and get rid of the sexual tension." She grinned. "Just a word of warning Sanai, he isn't very... big." She winked. "Ex-..excuse me?!" Michael growled at Renee. "I'm just kidding you two." Renee waved it off. "Anyway... Thanatos is the leader of the rouges." She held up a envelope with a sigh. "A copy of what was in your black folders LTG." She walked to Sanai and handed her the envelope. She sat down in a chair and crossed her legs. |
Sanai snatched the envelop from Renee, slapping her upside the head with it then threw it to Micheal, "I would watch your tongue Renee...you are still my subordinate.." She looked back to Micheal, "Not that these envelops will be any good to us anyway...this isn't the full set of information. I need those folders, as do you." She looked back to Renee, "And what's this business about Riesz now? What is she up to?"
"Just trying to lighten the mood a bit." Renee sighed. "I know these ones just kind of trail off. And by the handwriting, you didn't write these LTG." She looked to the man. "About former General Riesz, I think she is infatuated with Thanatos. Just by the way she looked and talked to him. And in a way I don't think she wants to be there." She paused.
Michael caught the envelope with a sigh, "Your right, Major General Marcs wrote them. He knew where the full folders were." He gripped the envelope firmly. "Who was his right hand man?" She looked to Sanai. |
"He was my training Officer when I was first promoted to Major General...I didn't know him to spend much time with anyone really though. I can check with Major General Chase, see if he knows anything..though I doubt it." She leaned up against the wall, closing her eyes. "Former General Riesz Thrane...an interesting woman. I'm surprised she's under his command. She was not one to...listen to orders. I wouldn't be surprised if she is up to something that not even Thanatos can squeeze from her mind." After a moment of silence, she opened her eyes, "What makes you think she doesn't want to be there? Have you given thought to the fact that she's supposed to watch you? The only reason she wants to be involved with the House again is so she can keep an eye on you. Speaking of, you should go. I'm sure they're looking for you since you 'disappeared off the map' when you entered this house."
"I just have that feeling from her." Renee shrugged. "And the LTG's room is just like this so they probably think I'm watching over him." She sighed as she stood up. "But I guess I should get back." She waved and disappeared, she landed on her bed laying down.
"How'd you know..." Michael trailed off as Renee disappeared. He sighed, "I have a few people I could talk to about Marcs. I should go and do that." He nodded. |
"And meanwhile, I will sit here like an idiot and stare at the wall." She sent Micheal a slight glare before teleporting herself to her chair, leaning back and her feet propped on the desk. "Oh, don't worry about me. I'll be fine.." Her voice was laced with sarcasm.
"Fine go on out." Michael's voice was layered in an equal amount of sarcasm. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it, he sighed as he disappeared.
Sanai rolled her eyes a bit, she would sit here just awhile yet. She needed a nice quiet place to think. Oh look at that, here's one.
Suddenly, Riesz appeared in Renee's room, her arms crossed over her chest. "Well there you are...I would've thought that Micheal would've punished you by now..or did I miss the blood splattering?" She frowned; sarcastically of course. "Darn." |
"There was no blood splattering. I made him think that I went crazy for a bit. Then I made it up to him." Renee licked her lips. She sat up, "Is anything needed? Cause I'm not really sure what to do..." She trailed off.
She shoved her hands in her pockets, "To tell you the truth, I haven't seen Thanatos since you gave him those folders. He already knows what's written down on them, so why he wants them I am unsure...so I don't know what he wants you to do, but I want you to keep Major General Zontini and Lieutenant General Waldemar out of matters concerning our..operations...I don't care how you do it, but I doubt a Private, such as myself, would have any reason to keep them away. I don't care if you even have to kill Major General Zontini...it'd save me the trouble of doing it later.."
Renee nodded, "Well that sucks, you were a General and now you have to start over... Who is your 'commanding officer'?" She moved her feet to the floor. "Feel free to have a seat, and don't worry I will keep everything between us and him secret." She crossed her arms. She sighed, "Can I ask you something? Why did you leave your post here?"
"Bothers me none..as long as I can keep you in my sight, I don't care what my stupid rank is." She remained standing. "I have to report directly to Galen...stupid bastard thinks he can 'break me' again." She narrowed her eyes a bit as Renee asked why she left, "Do you really need to ask? This stupid Council will get us no where, as a whole. Vampires used to be a proud race...we didn't care about rules..or rank..or any of this crap nowadays. So as long as we kept the population within reason in accordance to the human population, we were free to do as we wished. Most of us had the common sense to just take what we need from them and be done with it..some of us..not so much...that's when the Council was established and ever since that, we've been declining..and now here we are..."
She outstretched her arms, displaying the room, "The vampires of the 'old days' have split from the Council's..'rule' and now we're trying to make up for their stupid mistake of revealing us to the humans. It's your Council that is wrong Renee...they told the humans we exist, they wanted to work out..God knows what with the humans, but instead, they got resistance. Thanatos has been planning for years, as you know, and the human/vampire...'dispute' was a perfect opportunity for him to show everyone exactly how useless and stupid the Council is." She sighed, crossing her arms again, "I'm surprised you couldn't figure out my reasons yourself. You seem like a bright girl Renee...it's a shame you're still brainwashed by Them." |
"We were proud once, I remember when my son found out about the history of the Sullivan and Reeves. He was so proud that he was a combination of the two families." Renee smiled sadly. "The council is wrong, it would be easy to take over the humans. Hell some countries don't even care that vampires are all around them." She pinched her nose. "I am very bright..." She trailed off with a sigh.
"Well you should certainly put that..brain of yours to use more often then." She looked away, a slightly irritated look on her face. "Where are the Major and Lieutenant Generals now?"
