*Peeks in*
Seems like the holiday's creeped up on us all.

Now if I only could find that last gift at a good price. . .

Espy 12-10-2014 01:43 AM

If only I could find gifts at all >.>

Also, I'm at an impasse in the avatar-creation process. If anyone'd like to throw ideas at me, go right on ahead.

trystan830 12-10-2014 01:45 AM

i've saved the most involved gift for last - a NASCAR logo blanket for hubby. i'm pretty sure i told him i *may* not get it done in time....

Lawtan 12-10-2014 01:52 AM

I would, but I am likewise at an impasse.

Belial 12-10-2014 02:01 AM

*Throws ideas at Espy, gets smacked for bad pun*

Maybe something in the same shade of purple pink you have as tattoos and ribbon on your head area to balance it out?

kiki 12-10-2014 08:42 AM

i received a christmas present today 8D and its from by big sis! 8D

Got a bread machine for my sister in a stainless steel. I hope she likes it.

Everything I buy I found on a deal site. Lots of people go to Slickdeals to post them, $40 off a bread machine to make it $60 was something I couldn't pass up and I remember getting Skyrim for $10 when it was selling at $40 everywhere else.

@Mek

We had a sewing machine once....well that's it. I don't remember much about it. Just that we had one.

@Belial

I've heard about them but a lot of those sites seem pretty shady to me.

Belial 12-10-2014 03:51 PM

The sites on slick deals?
or slickdeals itself?

I've yet to have an issue but that isn't to invalidate your opinion. This is just my personal experience with 2 years on the site.

8. My grandmother used to be big into quilting and one time had me hem a pillowcase back together when I was 5. Grandmothers are great teachers and so insightful. I really miss watching her put quilts together. She was amazing at utilizing the fabric scraps she had.

trystan830 12-10-2014 09:06 PM

that's pretty cool, Ginger. my mom quilts now. my grandmother used to knit and crochet, but i really only remember seeing her knit, even though we have some of her crocheted blankets.

i crochet. a LOT.

Ginger 12-10-2014 09:14 PM

9. Aww that's awesome :) I crocheted back in 5th grade during my free time in class. I was of course socially awkward and channeled my feeling of not belonging anywhere into creative things.

trystan830 12-10-2014 09:24 PM

i've only been crocheting for only three years... but i was socially awkward too - i always had my nose in a book.

I would like to see you make an avatar with metal and robot parts. I know you do well with armor, but I'd love to see you use that armor to make something that looks less...organic. :3

10. I've done a lot of cross-stitch projects--I like that they require no artistic ability, just patience and precision and the ability to follow directions. I have those in spades but no artistic talents whatsoever. XD I'm thinking of learning to crochet, though, now that I've discovered amigurumi. SO CUTE. XD

trystan830 12-11-2014 01:19 AM

i love amigurumi... and i've made a TON of it... click the "ravelry" link in my profile. heh.

if you have any questions, Meghan, feel free to post on my profile or PM here, or poke me on Uni6 too. =)

Illusion 12-11-2014 01:22 AM

This is a Holiday bash? Does that mean we as a society are going to finally bash Santa's face in for never getting that pony we always wanted for Christmas?

Panda 12-11-2014 01:47 AM

iLLUSION >GLOMP< Hi! :D

trystan830 12-11-2014 02:21 AM

Illusion... Lol, but I don't think so?

Panda 12-11-2014 02:55 AM

Loving my new GOLD avatar. lol >.<

Espy 12-11-2014 03:15 AM

Please refrain from bashing in the faces of anyone.

Lawtan 12-11-2014 03:41 AM

But...you said Bash...to Illusion...

*Prepares duct tape/straitjacket*

kiki 12-11-2014 03:44 AM

whats happening? XD

Lawtan 12-11-2014 12:00 PM

Well, as Espy doesn't want Illusion to take a figurative statement literal...I am prepared to restrain Illusion with duct tape and a straitjacket.

trystan830 12-11-2014 12:21 PM

ooh nice avi, Panda! love those wings!

Illusion, Espy, Lawtan, y'all want to settle this outside?

Lawtan 12-11-2014 12:28 PM

Oh, a duel of insanity? That could be interesting! Admittedly, that could destroy half of Trisphee...

Him 12-11-2014 02:42 PM

:o

*Readys the popcorn* This gon b gud. c:

trystan830 12-11-2014 02:58 PM

*joins Eros*

*steals some popcorn*

hey, that's hot! that'll teach me not to snag popcorn right when it's done popping....

Espy 12-11-2014 03:37 PM

-leans back and crosses legs-

As much as I'd like to settle a few scores with Illu, I'd prefer to not destroy half of Trisphee.

Ginger 12-11-2014 03:53 PM

Did someone say...... POPCORN?!

I'll have to watch a movie with it though. The struggle... it's real.

Espy 12-11-2014 03:53 PM

Psh, I'll take the popcorn even if there's no movie.

Ginger 12-11-2014 04:06 PM

I have a donut C: I'll eat that instead of the popcorn

Espy 12-11-2014 04:07 PM

I have...uh...Chex Mix and tea. Works fine, I suppose.

I love your avatar, by the way.

Lawtan 12-11-2014 04:46 PM

...I was just eating popcorn...

O.O

MeghanB 12-11-2014 04:55 PM

Well, there, I think this avy will count as "wintry" for the time being. Thanks very much for the tip on the navy palette, that has some very nice shades!

Awen Moonshine 12-11-2014 05:14 PM

Looking good Meghan ^_^

Hopefully once this weekend is over I can be online more...

Espy 12-11-2014 05:30 PM

I have half a mind to cosplay Bucky just for shits and giggles.

Ginger 12-11-2014 06:54 PM

Thanks Espy! I was considering changing it up again today but I'd need to set aside about an hour. As you know I'm so very indecisive. I'll have something started and then completely change the colors around.

Tea works just as well. I haven't had any in months. I really need to drink it more often for the health benefits.

MeghanB 12-11-2014 10:54 PM

Ha ha, well, judge me kindly, I'm a newbie. I'm still buying the cheap stuff. XD

trystan830 12-11-2014 11:16 PM

it's adorable, Meghan! what top and bottom did you use, if i may ask?
