That is one of the first things you do. If the victim was electrocuted, or bit by a deadly snake...you don't want to be also electrocuted/envenomed. (also, a quick look around before you start may give a better idea of what's wrong)

I forget how it was worded but every year there's a huge joke made about it

and yeah. Basically everyone was/is a dork about it
and yeah. X'D everyone would shout it all the time.

I remember taking first aid in middle school but I would have to go through a refresher course to get my license back.

i actually just recently started hanging out with her. man. im so glad because we have so many of the same interests. and the reason we stopped hanging out was because of that one jerk who ruined a lot of things for me.

Actually, I believe that there is something about how having certification hurts your defense were the person whose life you saved to sue you for damaged body (sternum from compressions to the chest, for example) in the attempt of saving their life, so I've let my certification expire, though not my knowledge.

really? if someone saved my life i wouldnt even care if i had a broken bone or two. like seriously. iwould be so glad i was still alive yo.

Yeah there was a court case where a person sued some one for saving their life because they preformed unlicensed CPR. I know most people would be grateful but that seemed like a dick move, and with so many court cases around it would not hurt to be careful.

Yeah I know. It makes me sad. Though i keep seeing commercials for class action lawsuits, those make me laugh.

i dont get why people think its ok to do that, i dont even have a lawyer or know what i would do to go about hiring one.

My dad has this thing called legal shield. Its a monthly service that he pays and when he needs it he can call and get a lawyer. Its pretty hilarious. Other wise I would say you can contact a public defender.

Well the easiest way i can say is to get into a car accident xD. I know when my friend got into one I had a mail box full of letters from lawyers wanting to take our case. Other wise the magistrates office may be the best place to find a public defender.

It's so awful to sue someone who just tried to save your life - it reminds me of the Incredibles.

I guess the justification is that by doing it wrong you saved the persons life but at the same time you may have damaged something internally? I dunno but it makes people less wiling to be nice.

XD I have to be honest its kinda hard not to want to help some one in need. I know a person its her first instinct. her mom was a nurse so she knows all these tricks. I watched her help a lady back to her apartment who was close to a heart attack but saved her life using coke, and then another time helped people in a car accident.
