Ah. All I know about bypass is there's one called route y or something and how they make the surgery. I do know that I know more about the ring because of all the commercials there were when it first came on the market.

Zao 10-05-2010 07:00 PM

I was surprised how long they had that option I didn't know there was a ring until I went to the orientation xD

Jitter bug 10-05-2010 07:11 PM

how long have they had it. I can't remember.

Zao 10-05-2010 07:16 PM

I think since the 80s

Jitter bug 10-05-2010 07:20 PM

Wow. That's actually longer than I thought. Waaay longer than I thought.

Zao 10-05-2010 07:22 PM

yeah longer than I thought too

Jitter bug 10-05-2010 07:37 PM

Then how long has bypass been around?
If this is a topic you don't want to talk about tell me. ^^ I'm a science geek. Biology to be specific but I also work for a hospital so this kind of thing fascinates me.

Zao 10-05-2010 07:43 PM

I love biology too so don't worry about it I'm just as big of a nerd xD I don't know though I know it started as a solution for certain stomach disease

Jitter bug 10-05-2010 07:48 PM

I didn't know that but it makes a lot of sense. Glad to know a fellow nerd. Do you know which disease?

Zao 10-05-2010 07:50 PM

I'm not sure if it was ulcers or cancer or something else. All I know is it became a weight loss solution when people started noticing these people lost a lot of weight after they got the surgery

Jitter bug 10-05-2010 07:56 PM

Well that's neat! Necessity is the mother of invention and all that. Yeah?

Zao 10-05-2010 08:00 PM

yup indeed I always find science amazing

Jitter bug 10-05-2010 08:05 PM

Did you ever like history? I never could get into that myself.

Zao 10-05-2010 08:10 PM

I like history but I'm not super into history

Jitter bug 10-05-2010 08:12 PM

Ah, I hated it. I think it might've been my teachers though.

Zao 10-05-2010 08:13 PM

I have an awesome history teacher right now
