Raven glanced it over as Wolfe and Fin talked.
Fin cussed mildly at Wolfe as he started to hold back tears. "... Seriously," Raven suddenly piped in, egging Fin on. Wolfe could tell he had some reservations about what he was going to do, but Fin couldn't tell. "No wonder you're such a scrawny boy. If you can't even bear to part with a silly necklace-" "Shut up!" Fin interrupted Raven angrily. "It's not silly, and it doesn't make me weak!" As if to prove it, he started to stand and glared at Raven and Wolfe. "I'll be strong because that is what she wanted. I'll prove it to everyone!" Now that he was finally on the edge, eyes flashing, the connection was a little more clear. His voice still hadn't settled and his body was still changing, but in his anger he had faint similarities with someone else who had recently defended his past. He almost seemed like a taller, tamer version of Nic. Without all the freckles. "... Did that scanner have a look at his DNA?" Raven whispered to Wolfe. |
Wolfe let out a very long sigh, "What are the odds..." he wondered to himself. Kale picking up this boy out of everyone in Costa Rica. He nodded to Raven, the results were just coming up on the screen. Wolfe compared them to Nic's.
Nic and Fin didn't appear to be direct siblings, but there were too many similarities to ignore them. After the analysis was complete, it appeared likely that they shared one parent.
Meanwhile, Fin was making his way out of the Juttle. |
Fin didn't make it very far. Wolfe remotely closed the door and locked it, trapping him inside as he looked back at Raven, "Like we need two of them around here," he muttered to him.
Fin, still mad, tried to open the door.
Raven shrugged a little. They didn't seem all that similar to him. Out of curiosity, Raven turned to Fin. "... You were born in Costa Rica?" "Yes," Fin spat at Raven as he kept working at the door. "Has your name always been Seraphim Bell?" "Why wouldn't it?" Fin grunted as he started giving up. Raven paused a moment before asking one more question, "Do you remember everything?" "Huh?" "Do you have any lapses of memory from your life?" Raven clarified. After a moment of thinking about it, Fin replied, "No, of course not." Raven turned back to Wolfe. |
"Do you know of any siblings?" Wolfe asked.
"What-?" Fin asked, almost in disbelief. "... N-No," he replied, sadness mixing in with the anger. He refused to look at them as he faced the door.
Wolfe debated something for a long moment before he seemed to decide, stating, "You have a half brother."
Fin cussed mildly at Wolfe again; his foul vocabulary appeared to be somewhat lacking. But it didn't seem like he believed Wolfe as he tried the door again.
"Would you like to meet him, Seraphim? His name is Dominic," Wolfe continued.
Fin didn't say anything, knuckled getting white as he kept trying for the door. Maybe all of this at once was just a little too much for him.
Wolfe glanced at Raven," Let's go," he stated, heading straight towards the front door.
Raven nodded a little, looking a little worried about Fin. But he followed after Wolfe.
Wolfe walked to the door and gently but firmly pushed Fin out of the way. He opened it and waited for Raven to pass through before following.
So Raven walked through, and Fin tried his hardest to squeeze his way through the doorway.
Wolfe pushed Fin back inside, "There's instafood in the kitchen, we'll return when we've decided what to do with you," he stated before shutting and locking the door.
